Saki - Sakiya System
Rayl's Command Base

So much to do and so little time to do it in. That was the issue everyone was facing these days. The invasion of Nar Shaddaa had done a great disservice to Black Sun. He himself had done a disservice to her. Of course it was in the interest of the greater good. For the sacrifice of three main star systems he'd saved the rest of the Syndicate's empire from annexation, and saved the bulk of their forces. Live to fight another day when victory is closer at hand. And according to their spies; The Republic was gearing up for something big soon. Or at least by shipping records. Nothing word of mouth had been slipped but nothing indicated another attack on them, which they'd be ready for this time if the hammer should fall on them.

The woes of the recent past would be forefront on topic, but today held other purposes that were to be discussed. @[member="Vilox Pazela"], one of the Dark Lords of the Sith, was imminently due. The manner of his visit was not entirely known, but he had requested the presence of all of Black Suns leadership. And for the arrangement Rayl was promised a favor. An important part of a certain in development project. Project Aces to be specific about it. Another of the topics he'd bring up as his main. The contesting point today was not the on hand discussions though. Apart of the arrangement was all of Black Suns leadership. This meant @[member="Domino"]. Something that did not sit well with him, and more than likely not to well in the opinions of @Mr. Ash and the newly appointed Vigo, @Vex Tythion. They'd have to just deal with it if they felt ill of it. Rayl was the commander hear, and while not a leader or a master of the Force. He'd be dammed to let hot blooded fools distract them of much greater goals. Lastly, the sixth member to be introduced was @[member="Circe Savan"]. She was here about his project, and was more a separate matter for latter.

Rayl strode down the hallway of the villa he'd appropriated since coming to Saki. It made a fine base of operations. The sea rested next to the villa, the large empty tract of land it occupied was now not so empty. Being filled up with prefab living quarters and other buildings for logistics. The city flanked Rayl's base on the left of you looked to the sea. Its Space Port served to ferry off supplies the factories made for replenishment and arms buildup. It would also be the location people would be landing at. Of course they'd swiftly be brought here by his Cadre Guard, being a much more comfortable location to hold a meeting. Vex and Ash had already arrived, Dommino was questionable whether she'd actually come. The other two were going to be here when they were going to be here. Rayl entered the largest room of the villa, it used to be a dining hall but was now a meeting and strategy room. Still quite a cut above some steel walled bare bones prefab. "Finding the accommodations comfortable Vigo Tythion, and Ash"?

Although he didn't know it, Darth Vazela's last act as a Sith Lord under the reign of Kaine Zambrano would be this meeting with the Black Sun leadership. Following this meeting, he would have an invitation to the Unknown Regions by the elusive, enigmatic Ashin Varanin; and that would be the last time that the Sith Empire saw the dark hooded silhouette of Darth Vazela for quite sometime.

Arriving in the Sakiya system on board the Obscurity, the Attrition-class Star Destroyer requested permission from the Black Sun forces in the system for clearance before arriving. When it dropped out of hyperspace, Vazela had already vacated the unnatural throne that he had grown via Sith Alchemy on the observational deck to the hangar bay, where a single Sigma-class transport and ten Dominus-class starfighter's would fly out towards Saki, the latter half acting as the transports escorts. The Sigma would touch down in the nearby hangar bay that led up from wherever it was located to the villa, where a regiment of Stormtroopers would escort their Lord to the amassed Black Sun Vigos ahead.

"Finally, I have tracked you down, Domino," he thought to himself as he strode up the pathway to the villa. "After searching so long, the pages of that certain book will be in my collection." Coming to a halt nearby the villa, he turned to the Sith Colonel and said, "Wait here with your men. I will contact you if I need your assistance."
"Yes my Lord," replied the Colonel before his men went into position to form a perimeter. As the troopers moved into position, Vazela turned and entered the villa. Moments later he was in the designated room for the meeting between himself, his apprentice Circe Savan and the other Black Suns. Lowering his hood, he locked his yellow predatory eyes on Rayl and said, "When will the others be arriving?" Blunt and straight to the point, as always. Pleasantries could come later.

One of Vexs body guards thundered on his door. Vex woke up with a start and tumbled from the bed followed by two wild cats and Six people of ... questionable character He sat up "What the Kark do you want?" He shouted. His reply came swiftly "The sith guy is here" Vex stood up and swore several times quite loudly "I will be there in a minute" He said moving to the wardrobe. Then he remembered his guests "Out out quick and take those beasts with you" He shouted hurriedly pulling clothes on.

He sauntered downstairs ten minutes later, in his opinion he looked normal given the fact that he had taken multiple workers from multiple races to bed with more wine than most normal people consumed in a week. "Good ... " He checked the time before continuing "... Morning" He said as he walked down stairs. He offered his hand to the sith lord "I trust Mr. Wilded has been treating you well"

| @[member="Vex Tythion "]| @[member="Rayl Wilded"] |

Vazela did not extend his hand to the little man as he entered the room. He merely replied, "I am waiting for the other Vigos to arrive. What is your name? And when will they be arriving?"

@[member="Vilox Pazela"] @[member="Vex Tythion "]@[member="Domino"]

"There is only one Vigo my good Dark Lord. And you are offending his well meaned hand shake". Rayl gestured at a lower level with his right arm to his boss. "This is Vex Tythion, elected Vigo of the Syndicate criminal empire. I deduce though you are referring to the former Vigo; @[member="Domino"]". Rayl almost cringed speaking her name. His view of the woman was now of a poor one. Her abandonment at Nar Shaddaa shattering all respect for her. The bullet had to be bit this time of course. To get what he wanted, that was just the way it is. "She has been informed her presence was requested. But I have the utmost confidence she shall be in attendance today". Domino never actually gave any agreeance over the request, maybe an allusion. He had a gut feeling his luck would pull through and deliver her for the meeting.

"Yes thank you Mr Wilde I am quite able to fight my own corner" He said rather annoyed that he had been so unceremoniously spurred, This annoyance was heightened by a crippling hangover "Come Mr. Whatever your name was, this way ... Oh and watch your ego doesn't chip the paint as you come through the door" He said as he waddled toward a lounge He pulled himself onto a chair and gestured with his head at a second one for the dark lord to take. "My associate has already indulged your prying, so can we begin or did you intend to waste more of my time?" He asked gruffly.

| @[member="Vex Tythion "]| @[member="Rayl Wilded"] |

"We can dispense with the pleansetries, gentlemen. I am here for business. I have something that you want. However, before we begin, I demand to know where Domino is? It is imperative that she is at these negotiations." Vazela leaned his head to the left as he studied the two men, lip curled.

"Apparently you've got quite a bit of time to waste," Domino chided her successor from from a suddenly not empty chair. And even though all outward appearances pointed to Domino being there (right down to the light refracting through the condensation on her glass), Vilox would be unable to so much as detect Domino through the force. "I'm beginning to think my retirement was premature, or that I should have handpicked my successor. The eyes of the galaxy are on you Vex, stop acting like a fratboy with his daddy's credit chip and lead." If Domino had been able to do it, Tythion should damn well be capable of it.
"As for you 'honored guest,' remember why you were invited to this place and stop overstepping your boundaries." Yes Domino knew the true reason Vilox was here, and she could even guess why the sith was so insistent on meeting her. His constant searching for her had been a source of some amusement for her in these trying times, and while the game of her seeming to always happen to be one or two steps gone would end today, she could drag it out some. Though far from lounging, the Twi'lek was clearly at ease as she looked over the trio before her. "Now then, shall we get on with it?"

Vazela averted his gaze from Rayl and Rex to the elusive Domino. "Finally, we met," he thought to himself, lowering himself into a seat directly opposite from the woman sat in front of him. "I have something that the Black Sun Syndicate wants. The difference between wants and needs here is that you need what I have; and I want something that you have."

Gestured to the sides with his arms before clasping both hands together on the table surface. "I could walk away from here and I wouldn't have lost anything. However, you would lost more than you would have gained. You require the use of the Mon Calamari shipyards, I am here to broker a deal between the Black Sun and Sith Empire. The question is, what do I want in return for your needs?"

He turned his gaze to Domino, putting the pressure on her. He hoped to use the other members of the leadership of their criminal Empire to his benefit with his next choice of words. "She knows what I want."

Vex smiled at the chiding of his outdated predecessor "Your retirement was indeed premature, you guidance would have been appreciated whilst the republic was steam rolling us. Perhaps the most knowledgeable coward would like to enlighten us on what her definition of leading is , I was unaware leading involved fleeing battle" He lent back. He opened his arms a gesture saying that he was willing to go on. He listened intently as the sith spoke a smile creeping across his face this would be easier than previously thought "The Twi'Lek is no friend of mine, take her if you want" He had no qualm with selling his predecessor down the river he was boss now not her and she appeared to have itches for her old power.

@[member="Vex Tythion "]@[member="Vilox Pazela"] @[member="Domino"]

"Then I'd like to see you do some leading Vex. All I've been told is you get drunk every night and sleep with everything that moves. What have you been doing about retaking our worlds. For near the last week I couldn't even get a hold of you until you finally seemed to answer me. Do you see the fleet I've been assembling, and the men? I've been taking action without you"! Rayl slammed his fist into the table, making it shake everything on top. "Ash has been negotiating with the Sith! You; nothing. I've mind to just cut you out. But maybe Domino would much rather do it for me. To which I say you shouldn't be idle nor hostile to people who can easily cause you harm". Rayl settled back into his chair. Scorn across his face. "Tell me what you want for Mon Cal's use Vazela. And we'll try to hammer this deal out".

Vex nodded "Your points are true I am new to large scale command, I suppose you are right apart from dealing with the newly arising cartel, It is however difficult to get Suns to come to a place to talk with me .... any way our domestic can wait, Please Lord Vazela go on" He lent back perhaps he had karked up essentially since ray had suddenly moved to Domino's side he webbed his fingers together he had a plan involving the cartel and their fallen capital.

| @[member="Vex Tythion "]| @[member="Rayl Wilded"] | @[member="Domino"] |

Vazela averted his gaze from Domino to Rayl and then to Vex. He said, "Domino here participated in an auction last year, where a rare artifact was purchased. It is called the Book of Sith."

"I have been looking for Domino for a long time, which was why when the Black Sun's approached the Empire for a deal in using the Mon Calamari shipyards, I jumped at the chance. However, the usage of the Mon Calamari shipyards in return for a simple book, no matter how important is, is simply not worth it. So here is my proposal for the Black Sun Syndicate."

"In return for the usage of the Mon Calamari shipyards, the original copy of the Book of Sith will be passed over to me. Of course, before this deal can be finalized, I will need to have a look at the book to authenticate that it is the original copy; and to make sure that none of it's content has been erased. I also want access to Black Sun space, with my own set of access codes for passage through your sectors and star systems, in return for brokering this deal. I want my own residence in a secluded area of your most secluded planet. I also want thirty thousand credits. These are my terms."

Vazela leaned back in his seat, resting his hands on the arm rests, waiting for their deliberating.

Domino's brow furrowed as she mimed confusion at Pazela's ever increasing list of demands. "It's always nice to meet a fan, but why are you even here?" She asked once he was finished. "We have our own yards and they're even mostly intact after this... invasion. And you can most certainly forget about getting the original book, I've already removed quite a bit of dangerous information from it, things nobody needs to know. Not that you would be able to tell if I had done that or one of the previous owners in any case." Things like ancient Sith incantations, a copy of a demon summoning scroll, along with great sections of Plagueis' writings (including the research that could lead to potential immortality) and Bane's descriptions of Force powers. Oh she'd left quite a bit of useful information in there, but now it was mostly history and basics on the force, nothing that would allow someone to become a threat to the galaxy, or herself. In short, she'd turned it into something of a text book that could be expanded upon and passed out to new students in the force to give them firm backgrounds. Apart from the information and full copies she'd squirreled away for herself that was.

"Other that, you're free to travel the lanes and purchase property same as most other people." Those who couldn't were mostly limited to those with Republic citizenship or affiliation these days. Not that they were willing to admit that the Black Suns still held the power to stop a Republic fleet from going just anywhere they wanted, let them feel safe in their supposed superiority.

Amarant

Dead Men End All Tales.
Like most droids, Mr. Ash knew how to sit quietly and be ignored. Which, to his point, he had been. He simply sat, calmly, waiting for the lot of them to decide what the hell it is they wanted. Pazela was some kind of shaman among the Sith, he knew that much. Domino had some magic book. Contruum. He swore to the circuits, he hated the name of that planet. It seemed that all their trouble started there. He sighed, calmly. "Contruum," he said annoyedly. "Domino, I'm beginning to think that planet has some sort of curse on it. Seems as though you've got nothing but headaches for the Suns out of it...." he said calmly, looking at the lot of them.

"Pazela, was it? You might want to learn a little humility, here. We still have a fleet, and we are the only allies you guys still have. The Republic, the Mandalorians, half the damn galaxy's against you. You want to gloat about what you do and don't need," he said calmly, his voice level, tinny, and hollow, "So be it. But show a little graciousness to the only other people willing to stand up to the Republic's idiocy alongside you," he said with a glare, "or you will find your allies to be much quicker at putting a blade to your neck."

"Domino," he began, laboriously, though with an obvious raise of his metal brow, "Can you produce the book in question, modified or otherwise? And as to Real Estate, I can tolerate a discount of 75,000 credits on a suitable parcel of land on the planet Tisht, Mr. Pazela. And a 20,000 credit...relocation fee for you to brign in your own materials for development. You will have to pay the remainder, which should not be implausible, given your substantial salary," he said dryly. Never bribe a man more than he's paid, after all. Simple stuff. "In Exchange, our work here will have no security inspections. I don't need Imperial military intelligence documenting each bit of work we do here." He'd milk every advantage he could out of this. Pazela wanted to be corrupt and take bribes, bribes came with privileges. Simple as that.

"I am With domino and Mr.Ash we may be down on our luck but we aren't door mats" He lent back this sith lord commanded a high price for a service they may not really need he lent forward "@[member="Rayl Wilded"] you called the sith here and we have yet to hear your opinion what say you to these terms?" He lent back wandering why Vazela wanted a book so much, They were useful yes but most definitely not worth as much as he implied.

@[member="Domino"] @[member="Vex Tythion "]@Mr. Ash @[member="Vilox Pazela"]

Rayl sunk back into his seat, calming his blood as the others distributed and gabbed the terms. Vex brought him back to the forefront of the conversation. "I chose Mon Cal because unlike our own yards. Its safe from the Republics reach. And the sector is a veritable fortress. The engineer I intend to finalize and build this ship will have an easier time doing this there. And logistically it will also be simpler to have resources soused and processed. While I have confidence in our own abilities to do the project. I've chosen the ship builder with no lack of research and debate. It will simply be safer, and faster to build her at Mon Cal". Rayl gruntingly sighed. Finally having his blood pressure level out. And it was nice to know Ash was finally participating in verbal passage. Rayl gestured out with his right hand towards @[member="Domino"]. "This... Book of the Sith. I would to be correct in saying its something of forbidden knowledge and teachings of old Sith Masters or something of that like. I won't lie that I'd be wary of letting such knowledge slip into hands of those I don't know better than a name. The Force and its users are something I've learned to respect. But would it be possible that as Ash suggested a direct copy could be made and given? The knowledge is in the words is it not. And if you've already destroyed some sections as you've said. I'd assume the worst of its evil is gone for good. Would there be any harm in passing on whats left. If Lord Vazela of course would be willing to adhere to the same deal, some of the books knowledge lost"?

| @[member="Domino"] | @[member="Vex Tythion "]| @Mr. Ash | @[member="Rayl Wilded"] |

"Contruum?" Vazela thought, as he leaned back in his seat. "You might have doomed Domino, if this negotiation doesn't go my way, Mr. Ash." Keeping his thoughts to himself, he studied each of the faces of the Black Sun leadership gathered in front of him before continuing. "Diplomatic ties not withstanding, you have not given me reason enough to allow the Black Sun Syndicate usage of the Mon Calamari shipyards. The fact that there is an alliance between your organisation and our Empire, is the only bargaining chip that you have. But we have just witnessed an Jedi led Republic assault on your sectors, in which you were defeated. We have also heard that it was through diplomacy that any further Jedi-Republic incursions into your space was stopped through those negotiations. What was the content of this deal that you reached with the very nemesis that we, the Sith, have been fighting for so long?"

He folded his hands over each other, positioning them near his Lightsaber, just in case. The negotiation was not going the way he had planned. He continued. "Alliances are only strong when both sides are strong. The fact that the Jedi and their Republic defeated you is the reason why you have approached the Empire for this deal and why I am here. I am more than willing to render assistance to my allies." He lifted a hand to gesture around the room, indicating Domino, Vex, Mr. Ash and Rayl, before placing it back where it was and continuing his speech. "But to do this, I have terms. I have made it clear to all of you that I, and by extension the Empire, have nothing to lose if I were to get up and leave this room without a deal being facilitated between us. Are you going to sever diplomatic ties between the Black Sun Syndicate and the Sith Empire if I were to leave? Of course not. In the position that you find yourselves in, under the bane and thumb of the Jedi, you need the Sith more than ever. So do not attempt to bluff me." He said the last part in particular to Mr. Ash.

Nodding his head, he turned his gaze to Domino and said to her. "If it is true that you have desecrated a valuable artifact that did not belong to you, then these negotiations are over and I will get up and leave, leaving in mind what I aforementioned. So let us stop playing this silly, manipulative game Domino and get straight to business."

"You will give me the Book of Sith, with all of it's content without any of it's content desecrated by you or anyone or anything else." Vazela then turned his eyes to the rest of the Black Suns. "And you will fulfill the aforementioned terms as I said and described them. In return, I will allow the Black Sun Syndicate to utilize the Mon Calamari shipyards. If Sith personnel is a problem, then I will attend whatever construction project that the Black Sun Syndicate wishes to utilize the shipyards for. Under my eye, I will ensure that the alliance between your organisation and the Empire that I rule over continues to flourish, without any temptations or due process getting in the way of it."

He turned his gaze back to Domino, leaning his head to the left, waiting for the rest to deliberate and discuss. He decided then and there that if their next choice of words were not that of an agreement to his terms, then he would up and leave them to sort out their mess. All he wanted was a book, free travel, residence and some credits; and in return, they gained access to one of, if not the best shipyards in the galaxy and an opportunity to continue relations between himself and them directly. He could be a valuable ally to the Black Sun Syndicate and here was their chance to get a friend when they needed one, now more than ever.

"You've been fighting them?" Domino asked almost casually. "Pray tell when you last fought the Jedi, it certainly wasn't the only time we've ever called upon our Sith allies for aid. The only ally we saw then was a single small task force that was most ineffective. One would almost wonder why we are aligned together, you say it would cost you nothing to leave, we would apparently gain nothing we haven't already by your staying. You say we need you to protect us, you've already failed in that and even as we speak your own borders are being violated rather commonly. Now, bearing in mind that I never play games, unless you'd like to actually start representing the empire as opposed to just yourself, there's the door." While they were talking Domino never made a threatening move or acted to ready herself to draw her saber, the fact that Vilox had, who apparently thought himself her better (along with everyone else in the room), was rather... a let down.

As for the item in question? The idea that the Book didn't belong to her, or that what she had done was desecration was almost laughable. She possessed it, she'd paid for it, and if anything, her actions were praiseworthy by the book's own teachings. Except Bane's, but forget him, he was a tool. She'd extracted everything useful from it, censored it for her own protection, and was cycling it for her own ends, except for her personal copies of course.
@[member="Vilox Pazela"] @[member="Rayl Wilded"] @Vex Tythion @Mr. Ash

Vex sat back and watched he was Vigo, yes, but the book was not of his concern. The tone of the sith however was, "I am afraid I must side with my most skilled associate Your terms are ... questionable." He said tilting his head "Perhaps I aught to have the doors opened it is rather stuffy here with all our egos compressed together" He gestured lazily and one of his staff pushed open a patio door "My Lord sith does our dear friend the emperor know you are here and have you cleared your terms with him, or are you too busy ruling over him to ask him?" He asked in a friendly but notably passive aggressive manner. In his experience People often liked to toss power they don't have around. Vex webbed his fingers together, he wondered whether the emperor knew that Lord Vazela was ruling his empire.
