"Let's say that House Thul supplies the Republic with minesweepers, even though a squadron of minesweeping vehicles can pierce a 40-meter corridor in a minefield a kilometer long in an hour or so. Plus they can defend themselves while organic sappers, or sapper droids, require escorts"

"Has the Alliance had any success using minesweeping vehicles?"

"Originally it was part of the Ringo Vinda Territorial Defense Force, but since its commanding officer at the time wanted to actively fight Sith rather than to wait for the Sith to take the fight to Ringo Vinda, it pledged to the Alliance. Now I would say that Malastare was the main place where the Alliance began to appreciate the value of minesweepers, and they will not deploy the Army of Malastare without at least some strong suspicion of minefields"

"If only you knew where Jessica was..."

"What is it with you and Jessica? Surely you haven't worked with her on Nar Shaddaa! Anyway, if it can satisfy you, go to Alderaan and ask for the Aldera Universal Medcenter: she will be in the burns ward, bathing in some bacta tank"

Just what is it that this particular Zeltron liked about Jessica that Celiana, Charzon or Marcia didn't have? The last three ladies may have been attractive to other Zeltrons, no doubt about that. Silas Miu, as a Kaminoan, was even taller than Jessica was, but he wouldn't think about hitting on Kaminoans - he seemed to prefer humans and Near-Humans. Zeltrons were Near-Humans after all. Celiana had a similar personality in some respects: both Jessica and Celiana were go-getters, they were ladies with strong willpower, but Celiana was a Force-user, whereas Jessica wasn't. If it was about intellectual makeup, Charzon would be closer to Jessica than Celiana: they both were rather well-versed in mechanical aspects of starship design, if only a little absent-minded sometimes. Marcia had some smarts but had the charisma of a brick, hence why she never appears on holonews, despite writing about starship design on Taking Off on a Star Tour.

The Past...

[2/25]

Avaro and Hala vacated the impromptu sparing ring, allowing Yree and Travot to take their starting places. Travot sized Yree's muscular from up. At seventeen, Yree's interest in martial fighting forms was rivaled by few else in the Republic's order. Travot had started his first training in Soresu alongside Yree, but the other man had already practiced and drilled himself in both Shii-Cho and Makashi at time. If the rumors were to be believed, Yree had already started delving into Ataru in private as well. He probably knows bits and pieces of other styles as well. Travot assumed a classic Makashi pose, with his shoulders squared towards Yree but with his left foot slightly back and angled. His right arm extended out to point the hilt of his saber towards the other man, while his left hand hung down loosely on his left side, ready to act as a balance for one of his lunging attacks.

For his part, Yree seemed unprepared to Travot at a quick glance. He merely stood in front of Travot, watching him with a vague interest as he passed his lightsaber hilt from hand to hand. Travot watched as his opponent's hilt continued to change hands. He's either trying to keep me guessing, or he's not taking this seriously...or is there some other gambit involved...Travot tapped the activation stub of his saber, bringing out the shorter, turquoise blade. Without much thought, Travot lunged at the man, with his saber surging towards the other man's left thigh. Yree suddenly transformed, flipping on his green-blade saber and rotating it at the last second to block Travot's thrust a mere centimeter away from his skin. Yree stepped back to reform his posture into a pose that almost seemed Soresu-like to Travot. Ravenna blinked. And here I thought he didn't like that style...

It had been a while since she’d last visited her home planet, and when Joza learned that The Republic was pushing into her territory, she had agreed to help them on behalf of the Jedi. It wasn’t as if dealing with Zeltrons would be difficult—they were an armours, fun-loving race and thus would pose very little thread to the representative Jedi. But perhaps having someone present that was familiar with both worlds—Jedi and Zeltros—would help smooth thing along.

In true Zeltron fashion, she wore a skin tight ensemble that showed her bare midriff. It wasn’t particularly racy, but it was the best blend she could find that would be passable to both Jedi and Zeltron. While she preferred her on-the-job clothing to be a bit looser and cover more, this would do for now. A pair of lightsaber hilts hung at her right hip, though they were present moreso as a status symbol than as a warning. Jedi first, Zeltron second. Right? Well, maybe not exactly a Jedi. But she was here in representation of them, so why not.

In need of something more familiar considering recent events, Joza had taken to the streets of Paradise City to find her own way to the summit’s location. Inhaling deeply, the pink woman drank in the pheromones, letting them wash over her like a cloud of perfume. She allowed their relaxing effects to take hold of her for a few moments, just enough to work the tension from her shoulders. It would do no good to have her judgement clouded by the thick layers of pheromones that constantly coated the city streets. Instead, she opted to remain polite and focused.

A tug in the Force alerted her to the presence of another Jedi in the area, her gaze scanning the streets until she laid eyes on [member="Ayumi Pallopides"] as she emerged from the underground. Smiling, she approached the Master with the swagger of a native Zeltron. “Master Jedi,” She dipped her head in regards to the new face, unable to bring a name to it. “Are you here for the Summit as well?”

Ayumi looked up when she heard someone speak towards her but... she wasn't a jedi. Far from it, she was just a senator with a vested interest in Zeltros becoming bigger and better and she could think of a million ideas of they would welcome it to do just that and increase their profit margins. It would get them oh so many things as she walked wearing the meshed duster and bowed her head. "Senator please, I was never a jedi just one of the few to survive the senate." She offered a warm smile with it taking in the zeltron with a nod of approval.. this was their planet afterall and one of the best ways to defend it was that euphoric feeling everyone had being on the world. You just wanted to dance.

She was looking at him with a few thoughts while walking with him and she paused thinking about how to explain it. "I am a Ruferalahuin and we are very good at cleaning up some of the messes that force users can leave behind." Her species ate force users and their energies breaking it down like anything else on top of their normal diet. She could work with that while operating over a few of the more interesting things. "It isn't always easy though and you need to work on some of the things with the force users being alive. Dead flesh is not very tasty." She said it eating a little more of the jerky with a nod when she reached out. "The hssiss dragons here could be tasty though."

There were a few things that most media outlets have overlooked thus far regarding the Kuat raid. How the raid was authorized in the first place, the finances of the operation and, finally, the actual outcome of the raid, that is, whether the objective was fulfilled. All that the media seemed to focus on were the heroics of the four main protagonists and who they are, and who their support cast is. Jaster, Celiana and Silas could use the 130k to outfit themselves with the latest equipment for all Charzon cared. Not that her being paid 40k only for her contribution to the raid mattered that much to her, just that Charzon appeared to be privy to information that lay outside the standard news channels. Even SCNN seemed to keep mostly quiet, and the GNN was obviously depicting the raid as a result of criminal activity, almost implying that the Silver Sanctum would even sponsor it, Battleon Town News indulged in an orgy of patriotism and even exalted Jessica over the other three protagonists. Which leaves Taking Off on a Star Tour as the only possible channel where Charzon could break the news. Usually known as a travel magazine, Taking Off on a Star Tour sometimes included juicy tidbits, especially given the endgoal of twhat Ringovinda StarYards wanted to do with the loot of the raid.

"Interesting... to think that the government of Ringo Vinda had its citizenry actually bid on funding raids on Sith faction-controlled facilities?"

"There were several categories: the civil service was allotted one raid, the population at large could have four to six projects funded. Cost-effectiveness, impact, clarity of objectives and plan, feasibility, and also personal interviews were conducted with the shortlistees. It was open to Ringovindian residents only"

"Souns like the military had ownership of the late stages of the call for bids"

"Jessica was criticized all across the civil service for that, before the actual raid took place, but the military SpecOps commanders who were tasked with selecting the bids were somehow praised for their promptness. Then again, I believe that whoever in the civil service placed the winning bid, they would have faced similar criticism until the smoke clears on the raid they themselves conduct"

Joza arched a brow, she could have sworn that she’d seen the woman around during her initial visit to The Republic. Regardless, she returned the smile with the same warmth. “Of course. My mistake, Senator.” Tilting her head in a mock bow of recognition, the pink woman straightened. “I’m Joza, Knight of the Silver Sanctum. May I ask what planet you are here to represent?” She couldn’t seem to put a name to the face, but remained pleasant otherwise. After all, it would be difficult to get irritated with the heavy pheromones.

The Zeltron wasn’t particularly fond of The Republic, moreso less fond of Sith. Especially the One Sith, and both faction’s clouds of influence bordered her home planet. Despite her own misgivings, she elected to help Republic Jedi spread their protection to Zeltros. Hopefully this would not put a target on the planet, but thankfully the One Sith seemed to decline in power from when they first attacked her home. Heavy blows from the Galactic Alliance served to weaken them further.

Ayumi was looking at her with a smile on her face though when she was walking and checking her gear with the mesh. A small smirk before she spoke looking at Joza. "ayumi the senator from Denon." She didn't really give a lot but Denons interest was to help them rebuild while she was working on some things and with Hologram funworld being held by an AI and blockaded with manned defenses to get away from the dangerous situation. Ayumi was walking to work with the others seeing some of the zeltrons as she was flirting with some of them there. She was really enjoying many of the things as she looked at Joza. "It is alright, such a pretty young girl like you."

Dune would've cocked an eyebrow. He didn't have any and so he contended himself with a level glance.

"I'm not on the menu," came his very dry response "I suspect Hssiss dragons may not appreciate being dined on either."

"But that sounds like an interesting avenue to explore, provded we could gather enough of your species."

He gestured all around.

"Unfortunately, we don't have such circumstances."

That would be the other hard thing, most of them disliked leaving the planet or the different areas on the world. She was working with some of the things looking at the jedi. "I am not that hungry yet, we learn control when we are little to allow us to function without trying to just eat everything with a feeling in the force." She said it while walking more until she stopped and looked at one of the large dragons swiming and slightly bathing in the waters off in the distance before turning it over in her mind. "Most of us do not want to leave the world. I heard a few species in the Republic got a chance to better represent their species to paint them in a better light."

Trinity watched the parade from her balcony and wondered how long would it be before she got a homecoming like this. Her old friend Giana was coming to town and here she was still bussing tables and collecting tips.

“Trinity, we have to go!”

Still living with a man who couldn’t even afford a landspeeder. Sometimes she wondered why she even bothered with him. It wasn’t like he was helping out with the bills and all he did was hang around the studio all day, acting like he was working on a hit record. Get a karking job was what she wanted to tell him, but because she was still chasing her own dreams, a part of her wanted him to keep chasing his as well. Maybe they both were wasting their time, but Trinity wanted to believe in the future. Believe in a time where they both would be famous and filthy karking rich.

“You know you don’t have to walk me to the bus stop right?” She told him that every day, but Ayden insisted on escorting her everywhere. That was the only benefit she guessed of him being unemployed, if that could even be considered a benefit. After her bus arrived, they kissed and parted ways, and she spent another boring day slaving away at Remy’s, where the paychecks were never worth the effort.

“Trinity, come here for a minute.”

On her lunchbreak, Mira took her aside and pointed out a certain booth that was in the corner. Compared to the normal suburban customers they got, this particular group of four were more thuggish. Trinity crinkled her nose and could already feel herself getting an attitude.

“I’m not in the mood to deal with this. They better not be here when I get off break.”

Mira started to chuckle and told her that she was being prejudiced but Trinity honestly didn’t care.

“Do you know them or something?” she asked after a while.

Mira nodded and pointed to one in particular. “That’s Slim.”

“Slim?” Trinity snorted. She looked at the man Mira pointed to and the man certainly wasn’t anything under two hundred pounds. “So who is this Slim and why should I know about him? I’m assuming there’s a good reason why you’re wasting my time like this on my lunch break?”

“There’s a reason but I’m not sure if you’ll like it.”

While Mira started to explain herself, Trinity started to look at the man who might hold the keys to her destiny amusingly.

Operation Towerfall/Project Susanoo
2/25

Operation Towerfall was the reason Makari had been sent to Ambria with a few others. He didn’t know much about the mission itself, but people relied on him for the little things. Things like supplies and weapon upgrades and other things that were non-combat related.

While Makari was a part of the Jedi Order, he wasn’t a padawan that was strong in the force yet. His training had only started a few months ago, and there was still much he had to learn about the force. In between his duties in aiding the strike teams, Juri would often take him aside and give him private lessons about sensing the force in others as well as the “mind trick” that she thought he was mature enough to handle.

“Don’t be like Gavin,” she would often tell him. Gavin was another padawan like Makari that was late in learning about the force, but he was more reckless with his abilities.

During one of their training sessions, she told him a little about Project Susanoo and asked him if he wanted to help out a bit.

“Just for a little while. You wouldn’t have to do much. Just help us keep tabs on this guy who keeps sliding under our radar.”

She explained that they had been tracking a force user who was connected with Project Susanoo in a way.

Makari thought on her question and after a while he gave her his answer.

He told her he’d help out. At least for a few days.

"Yet the raid was a partial success. We did cause some damage, rather light I should say, but what would you expect from six people that couldn't get anywhere near a reactor? We destroyed a tram station in our attempt to escape, which has reduced their productivity somewhat while the tram station is being rebuilt"

"You say that you have heavy bombs for sale. Were they used operationally?"

"Once. Thakwaa; but given the payload we needed to experiment on the native Thakwaash and to get damotite fropped on them so it may be conclusive from a crowd control standpoint. However, the First Order won't release the data on the medium and heavy bombs: Star Tours has had no luck prying that information from the First Order either, despite Star Tours having shipped a few of these implements to them via Lanteeb"

Admiral Thurman had Dunames shuffled around from Thakwaa to Ryoone, flying sometimes a TIE Reaver, at other times an AT-AT barge. By now their supply of experimental bombs have been exhausted, and they seem undecided on which weapons and ordnance they use. They seemed unsatisfied with the TIE Reaver, which will become a museum piece on Dosuun, but the ordnance is a different matter. Will they have TIE/its outfitted with the Guernica?

“It’s good to meet you, Ayumi of Denon. I hope that Zeltros treats you well.” She didn’t know much about the relations between Denon and Zeltros—she’s grown up in a lower income area, not in the sprawling mansions of politicians and business types—but knew enough to figure that fostering relations with other planets was likely a good thing. Joza flashed a toothy grin at the compliment. “We Zeltrons get that a lot.” A wink for good measure.

“Are you here for the economic summit, Senator? I hear that Essence of Zeltros is becoming quite popular, and quite a few companies are looking to make deals with the distributor.”

"I am and Denon would benefit from it, with the economic changes we have been doing it has allowed us to develop a surplus of credits that we will be able to provide support as needed. New endeavors in some places as well." She said it with a grin on her face though while thinking about it and clasping hands behind her back when they were walking. "As for how the zeltrons have been treating me, only so well. The ones I met and talked with are less party going as I would like maybe. Though they did recommend some areas to go to and join the party after all of this." It was her turn to wink and smile going with Joza before she looked up at the larger people there they were meeting. Ayumi tapped a finger to the music of the districts in the distance.

Operation Towerfall/Project Susanoo
3/25

They Reminisce Over You was playing from Juri’s landspeeder as they headed to Renzil Town. Makari sat in the passenger side and stared out the window, wondering if he was still making the right decision in helping Juri. It wasn’t like he was scared in taking a more active role in Operation Towerfall and doing more than supply work and weapon upgrades, but he didn’t think he would be much use in a fight if they came across a sith. He knew a trick or two, and his master had certainly taught him some things to enable him to survive in a fight, but he was no warrior yet. Chit, he barely qualified as a padawan with how little he knew about the force.

He looked in Juri’s direction to open his mouth, but she was still off in her own world, letting the music take her to another place, and after a while, the music took him to another place as well. He started to remember his time in Coruscant and remembered all of the old school vibes he got whenever he visited the Fifth Ward and talked to some of the people there.

As they got closer to Renzil Town, Makari finally said, “So tell me more about this guy I’m supposed to be following. What was his name again?”

“Luca. Luca Martin, I think. He keeps changing his names so it’s a pain in the ass to keep up with. Reach in the compartment and you’ll see his picture though. Hang on for a second and I’ll call Rugo to make sure I got the name right.”

While Juri called up Rugo, Makari stared at the picture of the man he was supposed to be spying on and he was surprised to see that it was a familiar face.

What were the odds?

“Oh? That sounds like good news for Zeltros, hm?” There was a hint of a good-natured jest in Joza’s tone, though a planet with surplus of credits interested in doing business on Zeltros was always a good thing. Not that she knew how trading and making deals worked. “Ah, so you’ve been speaking with the natives then? Let’s see…” A thoughtful look appeared on Joza’s face as she dug back into her memory banks. She’d lived on Zeltros from her birth until mid-adolescence, and knew her fair share of clubs and bars. She had grown up in the entertainment district for kark’s sake!

The Core is a good place, it’s really popular with tourists. Club Aurora is easier to get into, but it’s gone downhill from what I've heard. Oh, Blush is a personal favorite. I used to work there, actually. Best drinks this side of Pleasure City, in my opinion.” She finished with a grin, having enjoyed a brief reminisce into her life on Zeltros.

The pair of woman would approach a stately looking building, banners hung to indicate the location of the summit. “I believe this is the place.” Joza ventured, peering at the various breeds of alien that were chatting, a few even dancing among eachother. Some people were often unprepared for the effects of the pheromones, but the best way to get Zeltrons on your side? Join the party!

Listening with her while they were going Ayumi was taking in all of the information about the world itself and where she could go afterwards with a grin on her face. Well this will be helpful to know where to go. Ayumi thought it to herself though when they arrived at the building and she had some of her attention on the different things that were there. Presenting herself to the ones there with a small look on her face while she stood there looking at Joza with a nod of her head before she spoke. "Well are you going to come in deary. I know it isn't always fun for politics but you should always want to go and have some fun. Maybe afterwards they will want to go and party."

"Heavy bombs? What is the meaning of that?"

"You'd have 530 kg of ultra-tritonal, 97% tritonal and 3% detonite, and have a yield of 40 tons of TNT. The casing weighs a ton. That means a lot of kaboom on one fighter/bomber equipped with a Guernica, which allows you to mount two apiece"

"You mentioned the Guernica multiple times. What makes it different from your average multi-launcher?"

"It counts for 2 standard multi-launcher and is capable of dropping medium and heavy bombs. Medium bombs weigh 300 kg apiece but only count for 2 standard (light) bombs towards ordnance count"

Charzon could tell that the Zeltron was a little skeptical to see a 300-kg casing count only for two light bombs towards ordnance count, and heavy bombs count for 4. Never was Charzon more embarassed in her lifetime about it. She may have fired a few shots in the escape attempt made after Tram Station 7 was destroyed, but no more than that. Yet that is one of the more significant events in her lifetime, the point where Ringovinda StarYards could no longer stick to the standard tools of the noncombat ship market. But Charzon had no desire to demonstrate the stuff on Zeltros proper. Clearly a territorial defense force was not the kind to indulge in heavy implements...

When Jorvan put him on a case, Slim handled that chit with a quickness. He wasn’t about the talking. He wasn’t about the fake pumping and pulling out a weapon that you never intended to use. He was about that action. And action was why he was in Zeltros, sitting in a stuffy ass restaurant, looking at this uppity chick who was about to get ethered if she kept looking at him sideways.

“Yo, who’s that chick over there by Mira? The one with the mean mug?” She was fine and everything but the **** this chick looking at him like he stole something for? Ole tattle tale looking ass. She probably already called the cops and they didn’t even do chit.

“You talking about Trinity?”

“Trinity?” Slim repeated.

“Yeah that’s Ayden girl.”

He tried to remember who Ayden was and said “You talking about the wannabe rapper?”

“Yeah him.” Horace looked at Mira and waved the two of them over, but Mira held up her finger, telling him to wait a while. Her and her friend were still discussing something.

Slim looked at Horace. “Man nevermind this broad. What’s up with your boy that was supposed to be rolling through here? I don’t got time to be sitting around all day when you know we got chit to take care of.”

Horace pulled out his phone and started to make a call, but Slim was about to walk out the door if this took another five minutes. Kark sitting around all day, they still had these off-brand clowns to snuff out.

And he wasn’t trying to be in this part of town any longer than he had to. One, two, three. At least four people in this place was testing his patience with these “what are you doing here” stares.

They wouldn’t be here either if he put a cap in they ass.
