STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Advanced AI and automation systems
  • Advanced sensors, including several hundred long-range dedicated energy receptors
  • Advanced targeting systems
  • Exotic Ranger transceiver (advanced encrypt/decrypt systems)
  • Cipherum Integration Suite
STRENGTHS
  • Exotic tech: While most of the hardware comes from the original Chrysalide flagship, the Eternal Union has outfitted it with exotic tech that comes straight from their own mirror-verse. As a consequence, any electronic warfare attempts on the ship is several orders of magnitude more difficult, because the tech requires additional reverse engineering to make sense of it.
  • Automated: Compared to the original Chrysalide, this version has received advanced automation protocols and its own AI unit that can link up with the rest of the EU fleet, and also scales down the high crew count requirements of the original ship.
  • Extreme Armament: Capable of extreme damage from a long distance thanks to the Hellbore armament.
  • Fortress: Can take a lot of punishment, even for a battlecruiser.
  • Hyperdrive: The Eternal Union has boosted the hyperdrive by a factor, making it faster than its standard module.
  • Cipherum Integration Module: The CIM is a standard EU ship suite that allows a senior Cipherum with a fully developed AI companion to link themselves up with the ship in question. It allows them to directly tap into its system and with the help of their AI, synchronize with the fleet that is connected to the flagship.
WEAKNESSES
  • Speed: The ship is very slow, even for its own size, having to rely on micro-jumps and hyperspace leaps to get anywhere relatively on time. It requires a lot of planning and logistics to put this piece on the board in time.
  • Maneuverability: It takes quite a lot of effort to maneuver the ship into the right position to maximize its damage. Once committed to a specific direction, it requires effort to reposition it again when needed.
  • EMP/Ion: The new AI and automation systems have been protected by recessed ionic buffers and other counter-measures, but if they are breached and the systems are overloaded the ship will lose a lot of its new effectiveness. Especially in a battle where they can’t quickly add more crew, it would hamper its ability to keep up.
DESCRIPTION
The original ship was the Chrysalide, flagship of the Lords of the Fringe, the starpiece of their navy and first into the breach on their mission to rid the Unknown Regions from threats the Core Worlds could only see in their nightmares. After the fall of the Fringe, the technology became widespread as Iron Crown Enterprises began to create batches of the design, and some fell into the hands of the Primeval and One Sith.

One of these models was acquired by a cabal of Imperial-aligned individuals that had come together in secret for the proliferation of Imperial doctrine throughout the Galaxy. With promises made they allowed Moff MALKIM ABRETTA to have the ship, as he promised them his project in Wild Space would bring order back into the region after the fall of several governments.

Instead he was removed from power by the Eternal Union. Coincidentally also an entity with Imperial roots.

The flagship fell into their hands and they used it to seal the fate of the Moff. Taking out a substantial number of his loyalists to force what remained into submission. Once the Eternal Union brought order to Rothana, they refitted the Chrysalide-class Battlecruiser with their own technology.

They rechristened it the PILLAR OF INHERITENCE, to never forget they inherited a legacy that they’d bring to the rest of this disorderly and chaotic Galaxy.
