These are our options. Me, I think Hermit Kingdom works well for us, but there's lots of possibilities. Thoughts?

MAJOR FACTION MANDATES

Droid Army
Strength: Droids and AI do not count against this Faction's Invasion Requesting Aid slots when defending or attacking.

Relentless Horde
Strength: This faction may invade two different Major Factions simultaneously.

Benevolent Dictator
Strength: Hexes adjacent to this Major Faction's Capital Planet hex are immune to Rebellions.
Weakness: The Capital Hex cannot be moved.

Capitalism Reigns
Strength: Companies established in this Major Faction's influence cloud may begin at or upgrade to Tier III.

Rapid Expansion
Strength: This faction may claim a fourth Dominion per month.
Weakness: The fourth Dominion claimed may also be targeted by Rebellions in addition to the 3rd.

Hermit Kingdom
Strength: Hexes this Major Faction owns may not be the target of Rebellions or Flashpoints.
Weakness: This Major Faction may only claim one Dominion per month.

Casino Royale
Strength: Once a month, this Major Faction may choose either to 1) re-roll any Flashpoint modifer of any thread it is involved in once or 2) roll a second time for an additional Flashpoint modifier on a thread it is involved in.

Frontier Exploration
Strength: The number of Dominions this Major Faction may complete a month is now equal to the number of Codex Location & Species submissions approved on planets within the Faction's Influence Cloud, at a maximum of 4. None of these Dominions may be targets of Rebellions.
Weakness: This Major Faction may not Dominion any planet from the Mid-Rim to the Deep Core, only the Tingel Arm/Unknown Regions/Wild Space/Outer Rim.

Galactic Nomads
Strength: Once a month, this Major Faction may abandon their current Influence Cloud & Capital Planet and relocate elsewhere on the map as if they were a creating a new Major Faction.
Weakness: The Major Faction may not use this Mandate's strength if the Major Faction is currently engaged in an incomplete Invasion, Rebellion, or Dominion.

Defensive Stronghold
Strength: This Major Faction has an infinite number of Requesting Aid slots when it is defending a hex it owns from an Invasion.
Weakness: This Major Faction has no Requesting Aid slots when it is Invading a hex.

Vigilante Justice
Strength: Bounty Hunters with at least one Player Character Bounty capture listed in their Character Biographies do not count against this Faction's Requesting Aid slots when defending or attacking in an Invasion.

Lawlessness
Strength: Characters with unclaimed bounties on their heads do not count against this Faction's Requesting Aid slot when defending or attacking in an Invasion.
Weakness: This Major Faction's threads are open to Bounty Hunters, regardless of their Faction. Private threads are excluded.

Neutral
Strength: None.

the three I think would suit us are

Casino Royal as flash points
Frontier Explore as we are expanding along the galactic edge
Lawlessness as we don't really have laws, heck we had thread about avoiding GA taxes.

This would only really apply to the future when we're more surrounded by invasion-happy factions, but Defensive Stronghold would be good for then. The ORC never seemed much of an invasion-esque faction so the weakness wouldn't burden, though I may just be wrong there.

Vigilante Justice and Lawlessness would make sense RP wise for obvious reasons, but they aren't the most impacting.

I'm personally against having Galactic Nomads as our mandate although it does make sense considering our faction. Overall, it would be counter-productive to start anew with all of the land on the grid that we have right now. It would also make a good number of the threads that we have done on these planets feel purposeless.

I'd probably go with Hermit Kingdom for safety purposes or Frontier Exploration due to our location.

Personally I'd suggest capitalism Reigns. Even though we are in essence a lawless state that has basic ground rules I think it would be productive to woke on building up a way the fraction can earn credits to fund us. I don't see us as the type of people that extort tax since we avoid it.

At the same time I'd definitely go frontier. Since the restrictions have lifted on dominions we can try do smaller story driven doms and make a larger storyarc with it. So this can create a lot of potential to give us some fun.

Thank you all for your input, both here and in the faction Discord. As a faction admin and the thread creator, I'd like to submit an official recommendation to [member="Bryce Bantam"], our excellent FO: I believe we should go with Hermit Kingdom.
Hermit Kingdom
Strength: Hexes this Major Faction owns may not be the target of Rebellions or Flashpoints.
Weakness: This Major Faction may only claim one Dominion per month.

Reasoning:
-Mentioned by several people in this thread
-One Dominion a month fits the way we do business, so it's not a downside
-Rebellions and Flashpoints will be causing serious chaos in the future, and fortifying against it makes sense for us

I personally like this suggestion, less our attitude changes and we want to get more heavy into the map game this seems like the best of both worlds for most of our faction.

If anyone feels strongly this is a bad course of action please let me know. Post any and all comments, opinions are totally welcome. I'll leave this open a few more days to discuss, if we end up with no major objection we will make it ORC canon.

I also have to agree with Hermit Kingdom. I would assume we aren't as dominion and map-game oriented as many other factions. Also, you can just look at the current map and see how we're surrounded the FO and GA, limiting us to really only a handful of planets in one direction that we wouldn't really need 3 dominions a month for.
