PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 51
  • Force Sensitivity: Yes; Master
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: A Human of average height and build, Master Orladri always carried an air of earthly detachment around him wherever he went. He held a firm disdain for any displays of opulence around him, and always strove to wear nothing but simple garments throughout his entire Jedi career. Even when he turned to the Dark Side of the Force he retained this fierce devotion to his beliefs.

His physical appearance was likely Spartan, with his head devoid of facial hair and what hair he did possess, was kept short in the military style cut.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Orladri Lovrus, Derriphan of the Xendori Guard
  • Loyalties: The Sith Empire
  • Wealth: None
Retained the Jedi tradition to eschewing earthly possessions in return for spiritual enlightenment despite his transition to the Dark Side of the Force

[*]Notable Possessions:
  • Dark Tunic
  • Lightsaber (Green)

[*]Skills:

[*]Control

[*]Sense

[*]Adequate Starfighter Pilot, but no Ace
[*]Can repair his own lightsaber

[*]Personality: Orladri was inducted into the Jedi Order at Coruscant from an extremely young age, and was instructed in their belief for the entirety of his life. He firmly believed in their devotion to protecting and upholding the rule of law in the galaxy, serving as the protectors of the weak and defenseless. However, as time wore on he eventually became disillusioned with the Jedi Order, viewing their increasing zealotry and desire to destroy the Dark Side as anathema to everything he was taught.

This rift between himself and the Jedi eventually allowed him to be seduced by [member="Taeli Raaf"], whom he fully joined during Operation: Eclipse and forsook the corrupt Jedi Order as he saw it. Even now as he's steeped in the Dark Side and ultimately serves the Sith Emperor, he believes that he is bringing order and the rule of law to the galaxy as he was under the Jedi.

He doesn't even view himself as anything other than a Jedi, albeit one that has shaken off the corrupt dogma of his predecessors and fully embraced both spectrums of the Force. Though he disagrees with many of the Emperor's more draconian policies, he deludes himself into accepting that ultimately harsh measures and needed to bring order where there is chaos.

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice:
    Lightsaber
  • The Force

[*]Combat Function: As a Jedi, Orladri abhorred the use of violence or unnecessary force against individuals or groups who were set against the Order. However, after witnessing the "corruption" in his own ranks, and after learning that ultimately peace is a lie, he allowed himself to utilize force to achieve his extremist means. Even though he's steeped in the Dark Side of the Force, he cannot bring himself to end another's life and instead avoids conflict if at all possible, utilizing avoidance and deflective techniques to circumvent violence. Minions typically carry out such loathsome acts on his behalf, and usually without his immediate presence.

Beyond his use of a lightsaber, Orladri is completely incompetent with any conventional weaponry. He doesn't know how to correctly use a blaster or any other piece of modern technology save for his starship, relying on the know-how of others to perform such tasks on his behalf.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Orladri Lovrus was born an orphan on Coruscant in the year 803 ABY and was quickly identified by the Jedi Order at the age of two. Orladri grew up never knowing the true identity of his parents, and began to view the Order as his true home. With no other preconceptions of the galaxy, the ideology of the Jedi quickly took root in his being, motivating and guiding every single one of his actions into early adulthood.

As a Jedi Knight, Orladri possessed a keen desire to help those less fortunate or less powerful than he, even at the cost of his own health or task. Though often his help was accepted, even celebrated, there were those who spurned his help and cursed his name as a Jedi. This dealt a serious blow to his previously unshakable beliefs, how could people despise him when he was a Jedi?

It was perplexing and he sought the counsel of his elders for guidance. They told him that not all people viewed the Jedi as virtuous or righteous and that the Jedi could do little to persuade their perception other than continuing to perform good deeds for the good of all.

Though he accepted this wisdom, it sat ugly and rotten in his belly.

It became a common occurrence for Orladri to extend his power in the Force to subtly influence the minds of those he wished to aid into accepting his help, whether they wanted it or not. A thought began to fester in his mind, that perhaps he could use this power to impose his pacifistic will on others.

He smothered those thoughts for years, viewing them as using his powers for ill means despite his altruistic intentions. But in suppressing these thoughts he allowed a dark seed to be planted in his subconscious, one that would spell doom for his allegiance to the Jedi in the end. For you see, as he was rewarded with the rank of Jedi Master for his steadfast dedication to the Order he began to notice faults within its ranks.

Zealotry, a desire to see the enemies destroyed outright. Laxation in their duties to uphold the rule of law, Jedi becoming corrupt as foreign politics infested their hearts. This disdain for his fellow Jedi was ultimately personified in the New Jedi Order and the Silver Jedi, organizations who went to extreme measures to eradicate what they perceived as Dark Side influence no matter the consequences of their actions.

This is when he was approached by the Jedi Master Taeli Raaf, who sympathized with his feelings and encouraged his own vision of how the Jedi should be. She told him that she knew a path to bring order to chaos, and justice to the unjust... And that she would share such a way with him if he helped her cleanse the Order from within. Her seductive influence reawakened the dark thoughts he had suppressed for so many years, and he readily joined in her initiative.

When the Sith Empire engaged Operation: Eclipse, it was Master Orladri's duty to use his suggestive power to sway military officials, politicians, and even Jedi to side with Taeli to purge the Jedi of corruption. Though he took no direct part in the pogrom, he orchestrated much under Taeli's guidance.

With his ties to the Jedi officially severed, he was given a position within the Sith Empire as the Grandmaster of the Xendori Guard, a militant Dark Jedi order in service to the Emperor's will. His perception of his actions was so far twisted at this point, that he could no longer recognize that he had become the very thing that he was taught to resist since his earliest memories.

An agent of evil.

[member="Darth Carnifex"] This is a well put together submission and I enjoyed reading it. There is only one thing that concerns me, and that is that you've written a very powerful character, but his weaknesses are small compared to all the strengths he has. I would like to see him a little bit more balanced, so please give him another weakness or two and we can get this submission moving along :)
