Open Arms, or To Arms?

Coruscant
High Council Chambers

A former student of the prior two Grandmasters had come back to the Jedi Order. He wanted to teach, but he had been gone for quite some time. Long enough to assist with the establishment of the Confederacy's foundation.

Despite the understanding between the two factions, there was a policy in play to evaluate teachers who were returning to the Order.

So that's why the council and the Jedi in question were now in the High Council Chambers having a nice little chat.

Syn was there in hologram, attending in a meeting and business elsewhere as this was a strange thing. Josiah had returned before O'reen and with Selena but now the council was bringing it up. The jedi master continued to stand there in the room of the ship. "This is a belated meeting, shouldn't you have called this when he returned awhile ago?"

Phylis was...early for once! Admittedly she'd gotten the timing wrong and had been waiting for half hour, but that made her look alert and interested! Or possibly constipated.
Either way, if she'd read the agenda right, they were here to discuss returning masters. The 'revolving door' recruitment policy was not one she approved of, but she'd try her best to be neutral and impartial.

It was going to have to happen, Rianna was going to have to turn over some of the Hall's responsibilities as Rianna could no longer keep up with Council duties, and run the Hall of Healers the responsibility was mind altering.

She entered the chamber noticing that she was not terribly late, Rianna smiled at Phylis and Kiskla. As she noted the form of Syn, and then nodded in greeting, returning masters always an interesting bit of news.

With each stride upon the marbled floors of the Council Chambers, Iella boots echoed around the halls and walls. Her cream cloak billowed behind her as her stride is set with purpose this day. Once more into the Chambers they are summon and she would be there.

As she entered she smiled to all the Masters now present, with a particular glint in the eyes as her smile fell on Syn. But only he would see it. She moved to her seat and sat wrapping her cloak about her legs and threw her hands on her lap.

"Greetings Esteemed Masters", she said as she waited for the talks to begin.

Late? Unfathomable. Josh was right on time as he made his way in, the blue dragon once again on his shoulder. The little one seemed to have grown a bit since the last meeting... Cripes, the little buggers grew up fast. The Grandmaster gave a nod to his fellow Councillors as he took a seat.

He was later then he would have liked. His schedule was hectic, he was tired. Maybe tonight he'd go to bed early-Nope, he had to do... Ugh. Nope.

"Good evening, Masters" he said calmly as he took a breath. "Is Josiah waiting for us?"

It had been ages since the Jedi had walked the hallowed halls of the Coruscant Temple; and even longer since he had stepped within the Council Chambers. The last time he had been within this room was...when he had left, in fact. 'Twas with the blessing of @[member="Ben Watts"] that he had ventured out of the Order, determined to find his way with the Force. Now, having found all that he had sought and matured to a Master, Josiah Denko desired to return to where he felt he belonged: home within the Jedi Order. Giving the dual doors a solid shove with his hands, Josiah was the last to arrive; right at the appointed time. He took his place in the center of the room, regarding the Masters present with a respectful inclination of his head.

"Greetings one and all." he began, standing straight, "It's an honor."

Carn Dista

Guest
Carn appeared through means of Hologram from the space station orbiting the homeworld of the Sith. He had a stern look about him - the last time someone had been brought before the council with the mindset that they would be accepted with open arms, they took hold of another person and lept out of a window. He wondered if it had been repaired yet. In an unusual move for Carn, he had chosen to allow his Padawan to view this particular council meeting. She stood behind him in absolute silence. Carn had given her strict instructions not to talk for the duration, and ever the obedient Padawan, Vei had accepted. She was thrilled to have been guven the opportunity, and was prepared to do anything to get a better understanding as to the workings of the Council.

"Let us begin then...

Josiah. You left the Order for, what I can only describe as an extensive period, in which you found yourself a member of the... Templars, was it? The council wishes to know how you came to your decisions in regards to your absence."

Carn could have quite happily asked every question there was about Josiah and his time in what Carn frequently described as a misguided cult of Force users, who openly embraced the Darkside. It's safe to say he wasnt the grestest fan of the Templar Order, especially after watching the former grandmaster have her time wasted by a certain Daxton Bane with some completely unneeded peace talks.
