OOC Some Like it Hoth | GA Invasion of FO Hoth & Bespin Hex

[member="Aver Brand"]

Alright, edits have been made. I have reached the middle with you here arriving and directing through the trenches and not countering the tank blasts at that time. My apologies for the inconvenience.

[member="Magnus Ren"] [member="Fiolette Yvarro"]

Hey love the posts! Quick question though for clarity. Can you guys give me a quick summary on what your station actions are? I want to make sure that my team doesnt miss anything.

I know there was mention of depressurization, but I am unsure of the actual cause. I know our Orbalisk Boarding shuttles are made to quickly make a seal on the hole cryobanned and cut through with plasma before allowing entry of any occupants, so I don't believe it has to do with the shuttles itself. Here is the link for your convienence. http://starwarsrp.net/topic/84750-ss-orbalisk-class-boarding-shuttle/

Did you guys depressurized the station yourselves??

Your submission seems to contradict itself, so we didn't depressurize ourselves. I put a picture here that reads what the submission says, in addition to what you've just said. So if you could please clarify this, I'll be happy to edit accordingly.

tl;dr of my post just in case

- Fiolette and Leona continue to evac medical ward
- Defensive Line Adrastia is out in full
- Sondheimer just keeps picking up trash.

[member="Fiolette Yvarro"]

Thanks so much for pointing that out. You know what, let me check with the submitter to clarify so that we are all on the same page.

[member="Sieb Tevv"] could you clarify on the depressisation bit on the Orbalisk sub?

[member="Micah Talith"], [member="Fiolette Yvarro"]

After reading over the sub, it's pretty evident that the shuttle cuts a hole in the hull of whatever it is breaching, which depressurizes it. Once the pilot of the shuttle decides to do so, the shuttle then presses down closer to the hull and seals it with the belly of the shuttle before deploying it's troops. The tactical benefit if that you suck the defenders into space, giving yourself a nice little beachhead. The drawback is that you suck the defenders towards you... So if they are already in vacuum-capable armor and equipped with, say, grappling lines... You now have a squad or platoon of angry Marines/troopers trying to destroy your shuttle with blasters, grenades, and plasma torches.

Also, it would be entirely optional to the person controlling the shuttle to decide how quickly to seal off the hole, to control how much atmosphere (and personnel) gets sucked out.

Specify what part of my post was confusing and I'll do my part in clarifying it.

@T'yr

Thank you so much. This seems legit and is very helpful.

I am totally down for this scenario. That sounds pretty epic and a fair compromise. Does that sound cool [member="Fiolette Yvarro"] [member="Magnus Ren"]

I can go back and edit how fast we did it, maybe even stagger a few to take longer, and or say some of the orbalisks were blown up leaving open breeches?

[member="Magnus Ren"]

Of course, it would be my pleasure. It is just to check for understanding so that we are all on the same page .

My original confusion was based on the depressurization. As Fio pointed out, the submission contradicts itself a bit. My team had originally believed that the boarding shuttle provides a seal and the way Fio's and your post were written confused us on just how bad the depressurization was and who started it.

@T'yr Dellos has actually provided a perfect solution, and I have offered to go back and edit my posts to provide a variety of scenarios as we'd be the ones controlling how fast those breaches are. The results basically giving a different sort of end result with how bad those depressurizations across the station would be.

How does that sound?

Beyond that, i wanted to ask specifically what were the security actions you were taking. I caught the Autoblaster turrets that will deploy and start striking at us right? As well as catching Keric's attempt as slicing? I hope I did not miss anything.

Beyond what I did for the point of view for my character, you caught everything. It's all up to you guys to decide how it affects you and your people.

Other than that, there were some clarifications as to how the population of the Station would react / how their demographic would react in this situation, and how difficult it'd actually be for you and your own to make progress.

Basically, turadium doors are all over the place.

Edit: Also, it's unnecessary for you to edit your post. We'll roll with what's already in place.

[member="Magnus Ren"]

Awesome. So I'll go back and edit the amount of time those breaches were sealed.

As for actions taken:

From Fio -
- Fiolette and Leona continue to evac medical ward
- Defensive Line Adrastia is out in full
- Sondheimer just keeps picking up trash.

From Magnus -

-Those auto blaster turrets firing at folk breaching
- turadium doors locked down every where
- and keric was noticed attempting to slice in

Roger. Once I edit my stuff I'll let you guys know so you can retread and respond accordingly! You've all been very helpful! :)

No.

Our decision is to continue with what we've already replied to. It's not our fault the submission was misread.

[member="Micah Talith"]

But they don't want you to edit?

So if you are going to, okay, that's your call, it *is* your post, but maybe don't make it sound like you are doing them a favor in that case?

Making everyone else retread their actions isn't actually very helpful, compared to moving forward at this point, imo.

[member="Irajah Ven"]

Oh, looks like we both posted at the same time at 12:40. As I am on mobile, I only caught is edited post from earlier on and can only refresh at specific times. Wasn't meant to show a disregard of a request.

I was just offering to edit to clarify the various breeches, so that it could include their current reactions and make sense plus give MY guys a neat backdrop for story for our future posts. I just figured that they may want to at least reread it after ward so they are aware I edited, and not like sneak edited. Lol It is just to be transparent about everything :)

How many OBL-2's are present with the boarding shuttles that you have mentioned?

Also, I'd like to make sure that the points you mentioned in 'some were met with hard fire' this is coming after my part in the station's actions?

[member="Magnus Ren"]

I went with a blanket amount because in the end, they are just background fluff. I dont want to get into the particulars of counting NPC vs NPC numbers when all we want is PC vs PC action and neat story akin to Episode 4.

The OBL-2's are there to give flavor and some shielding as we progress through the station. They are by no means end all be all. We hope that this will encourage PC's to come to us and interact. We expected that we'd have to face some hard fire once we went to full breaching mode, and we wanted to respect that we'd be met with opposition, be it PC or NPC, despite the submission having a weakness that it is easy for attackers to reasonably make their way into the station even in battle.

Some come at us! We welcome the fights ^__ ^

Also, I apologize again for the miscommunication earlier. We both posted at 12:40 and i totally missed it. At work and on mobile, so taking a bit of time to respond. Hit me up for any further clarifications!

Any FO peeps on the Anoat Station want to PC fight this green chick?

Yeah, I believe that's correct. A stygium-cloaked ship that leaves hyperspace doesn't get detected if its cloak is already up. I was just reading about that in Dark Disciple a few weeks ago.

I thought that the established canon was that Hibridium and Stygium cloaks couldn't be used while initiating or deactivating a Hyperdrive, or the ship exploded?
