Once Upon a Canyon Wall (complete)

Draco perked up a little, "You don't happen to have that dress on hand?" he asked with a playful whisper, continuing to slowly nudge her towards the bed, working on assisting Faith with unbuttoning her shirt. "Never mind, don't waste the time to put it on, I've missed you too long to wait that long." Even Draco could feel the dull ache in his body as he held Faith against his chest, feeling her warmth seep through each other's skin and into their spirits. She was always going to be his deep passion, and he had to remember not to fret over her.

As her fingers ran through his dark hair, he let his own hands drift down her waist, squeezing her backside as he grinned, continuing to plant kisses up and down her neck. "I like it when you melt. I like it when I'm in trouble with you." His breath became more ragged and his heart rate increased as she touched him.

"I could never find you enough surprises to repay you for what you have done for me. But I will keep trying, and I will keep loving you, and loving on you." His chest rubbed up against her, his mind registering that his twins rested within her belly. That she was the mother of his children, the mother of his only biological children, his one great love.

The pressure in his chest building he decided to relent and give her a hint. "One flies, and the other was owned by a former Princess of Alderaan. I thought you should have both." He pushed on her gently, "But later."

"You're always in trouble"

Later

Tangled among the sheets tired in every sense of the word their separation had put aggressiveness into their intimacy. Faith lay breathing softly one of Draco's love bites on her shoulder, while he endured the trails of red from the middle of his back to his shoulders.

She looked over at him, his eyes half closed, his breathing even as he rested there beside her. She never got over that he was there with her, that he wasn't going anywhere, and now they were expecting children. Once again life for her went on fast forward. The only thing was they weren't really married. Yes it was just an accepted status among her staff, but no one else recognized it.

He kept saying he wanted to wait until her mother saw him as fit for her. She understood, and tried to exercise patience. She did know something about that so...they'd wait.

If there had been any staff around they had vacated to the other apartment to set in place security, and shifts for the protection of the Princess and her consort.

She couldn't sleep it was hard because he had something and she didn't know what it was, "So one flies and the other was from another Princess of Alderaan." Faith pushed up to look at Draco, "So you bought me another Thranta?" She smiled not sure that she had guessed correct, "As for the other, do I get a hint as to which Princess?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled lazily, laying in the bed covered partially in sheets and blankets, partially by his beloved Faith, his eyes half closed as he rested. Draco knew the pain of waiting for marriage. He didn't want to, not really, but he didn't want to steal away the fairy tale royal wedding Faith really wanted. He was however getting to the point that he was willing to succumb and take Faith off to have her married somewhere else. He was normally an impatient man, known for spontaneous acts. Either way, his patience with Arianna was wearing thin, he kept seeing her pushing Faith towards a lecherous man she knew would be unfaithful and only wanted a title because it would benefit the Crown more to have the two paired. Draco wanted desperately to prove he was worthy of Faith's love, but each passing day it seemed less likely Arianna would agree.

Faith spoke softly, her breath dancing across his chest as she shifted to look at him with a smile. "No, I didnt' buy a thranta. I don't know enough about them to get a good one. But, I do know ships. I even supplied parts for the design, and its a collectors item from Theed Palace Engineers." He breathed in deep, watching her rise a little as she lay against his chest. These were the moments he would cherish while they were separated, the moments he would never forget, burned into his memory as a blessing. A reminder that it is always darkest before the dawn.

Draco put his arms around her midriff, hugging her gently as she lay atop him, little droplets of their sweet mingling. He considered taking her to get dressed and find the ship and the other gift before they worried about sleep. "Hmmm, I would consider her the most famous Princess of Alderaan. Certainly the most well known Organa in the history books." He smiled teasing her verbally, and with gently prods with his fingers into her hips. "Once you are done guessing we can dress and go look at what I brought you if you like. They are both just at the space port."

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"A famous Princess" the only Princess that came to mind when he spoke those words, "Ooo you found something from Princess Leia's time? Really!" This made her sit up, "what did you find? When can I see? It's here?"

She was excited. "At the space port, hmmm. Well then we can take the underground train to New Aldera City, I can see how it is operating." She smiled this was great she'd get to try everything out and get a gift.

She stroked his arm with her fingertips as she thought of all the things he could have found, of all the items that Leia had touched, been given, what could Draco have found.

In her stomach a growing excitement could it even something from House Organa?

"Well I'm going to have to shower and change...and we'll have to take a couple of the guards, and..." She laughed, "going somewhere on the spur sometimes isn't as easy as it should be. Shall we...shower?"

Faith reached for her communicator and sent a message to Ana that they would be heading to the spaceport within the hour to get ready.

"Do I get any further hints?" She smiled at him hoping to lure him into giving her more information.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled, seeing her excitement in her eyes, through the Force, in her features, and even in her body language. She was beautiful and kind, and gentle, and loving. Everything he had needed, nothing he deserved. "Yes, I found something that used to belong to Princess Leia," he let out an omphf, as she sat up quickly, pushing the air from his lungs a little. He grinned, chuckling up at her, seeing how giddy and happy she was to hear about getting something from all those years ago.

"There is an underground train?" He asked, having yet to see it or hear about it from anyone else. He assumed there were some tunnels and bridges that connected the sides of the canyon walls to the mag-trains to allow them to transport people around quickly. Its not like the space port was more than a thirty minute walk away, but taking the train would be faster, and he would get to keep Faith to himself more, return back to the privacy of their apartment much faster.

Perhaps it was her heritage that excited her about it. She would be really happy when she found out what it actually was, that he had taken great pains to ensure that it brought the style back from death. "Oh, it will be easier sometimes, harder and more difficult other times. Especially with twins on the way, but we will manage just fine my love. And yes, we should shower. Maybe I've earned a present?" Draco stood from the bed, letting her send the messages she needed to for her aids and assistants. The needed to know the pair would be leaving the apartment.

He smiled back at her as she probed him for more information. "If I give too much away, it will spoil the surprise. I want to see the look on your face when you first see it." She and her feminine wiles could extract a great deal of information from him, but sometimes it was funner to keep her in the dark until the last second.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

"Yes the tunnel cleared,and now we have the old connection." , She looked at him he was keeping it a secret he was very good.

"Our twins imagine that. Two. Hard to believe" she was overjoyed with the news, she could see. And feel it, the happiness he felt came through with each tender touch, every loving kiss, and every whispered word.

"A present, only if you come shower with me." , She began inching away, "or just lay here looking like the manka who are the last of the shatual." Faith ran a single finger down his chest across his stomach, low across his happy trail, "up to you"

She slipped off the bed, "you might be inclined to tell me more. Otherwise we will be leaving soon for the spaceport." She flipped her hair smiled adding a bit more away to her hip she walked towards the bath.

"Don't think too long"

Draco was not one who needed to ponder what to do in such situations. His eyes noted the extra sway in her hips than her normal gait, and the slightly tickle of her finger from moments ago as she teased him. She was good for him, kept him grounded, kept him longing for more of her touch. Even in her embrace he was satisfied, yet still wanted more. It was an interesting conundrum, that he could be perfectly happy with her mere presence, and yet never be sated of her touch. Regardless of satisfied or unsated, Draco followed Faith into the bath, anticipation already rising from her playfulness.

~Later~

He stood dressed, and freshly cleaned, fresh clothes, and grinning, happy with her present. Draco pulled his dark mane of hair off his face, letting it settle as he waited on his princess. He wasn't in a hurry, but no doubt with her present to him out of the way, she would be excited to get on with it, and find out what he had found for her. It wasn't all that much of a big deal. All he had spent on both things was just money. No favors, no barters, nothing crazy. He wouldn't miss the credits, and together they had enough that neither of them would want for money for the rest of their lives. It would be difficult to teach their children the value of a credit given the amount they would be exposed to.

Draco's mind drifted around, he had an adventure to go on, one last step in his long journey to recovery from his ordeal with multiple personalities. It was odd that still, weeks later he had yet to feel the slightest presence of his alter ego. Not unsettling, just, odd. If anything it was a good thing. He had twins, Force guide him, twins, on the way. He was a Mandalorian Warrior, she was a peace loving Princess. It would be difficult to teach them both their heritages properly, and he knew he really wanted to raise them out in the fields and forests. Draco knew how she had lost her last family, and how him running off with their children would dredge up those memories and fears, and so he made a note not to go far with them for a while. He needed to build her trust in him, that he would always return, stupid smile on his face, arms open and waiting to encircle her. And he needed to build trust in her as well, especially given her ordeal on Alderaan, that she would be okay for a little while without him. That he didn't need to loom over her.

Finally, he turned his head to look at Faith, "Are you almost ready to show me the train?" He asked, walking up behind her. This, days like this, he could keep doing. He could keep this up for a long time if it was anything like this. "The guards you asked for are waiting and ready when you are, ner runi." He glanced down at his own hands, wearing the Light Shields on his wrists, unassuming and hardly noticeable. Of course he was always armed with something, carrying a knife on the back of his belt.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

Faith pulled on the last of her outfit as Draco came up, She leaned back as he wrapped his arms around her. "Yes I am you ready to ride?"

She saw his reflection in the mirror, "baby have I told you what a gorgeous man you are?" Her gaze met his in the mirror.

It was no wonder they were having twins they found comfort within each other so often. But she couldn't help it she loved him with every fiber of her being and the longing that she felt for him pooled into heat so quickly she just had to touch him. Feel every breath hear every,beat of his heart.

As much as she loved him to see their children dark hair dark eyes looking up.

"Ok love I'm ready. You ready?" she turned smiling "you will love the train. "

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled, feeling her warm touch on his hands and chest, even through the casual clothes they both wore. His eyes met hers and he could feel the burning love she had for him, matching his deep love for her. He couldn't imagine what he would do without her, and every moment they were not holding each other he felt as though he was missing a piece of himself. He needed to put a ring around her finger, but he wanted to surprise her with that as well, propose on Vena after they slipped away from the host. Hopefully she would like the ring he had selected for her.

"You have, baby." His voice was a low whisper and he kissed her cheek as she looked in the mirror. "I certainly haven't told you how alluring you truly are, but I just can't find the right words to describe you. One day I will find a poet and I will discover words worthy of your beauty. One day." His grin was still plastered across his features and he let her turn, looking lower in the mirror to see how the leather made her butt look. "Yeah, I really like these pants of yours, too." His teeth flashed through his smile for an instant and he looked down into her eyes. One day soon he would go on that quest for a poet to learn how she deserved to be described.

"Yes I will love the train. Lead the way, cyar'ika." Draco took up her arm in his, letting her lead him through the apartment. The quartet of guards waited for them in the entrance hall, wearing robes the colors of the House of Organa, carrying small carbines and deactivated energy shields on their arms. Not too flashy, but flashy enough to make people keep a respectful distance. "One of these days, I will have to take you dancing somewhere no one will recognize us. Maybe a club on Nar Shaddaa or the Taris mid levels." He could only imagine the sight of Faith and himself out at a club, he'd look ridiculous, making a poor attempt at dancing, and she would look gorgeous in some unbelievably sexy outfit, drawing attention away from him. He could only imagine her dancing as graceful and exquisite, but, as he imagined it, he realized he simply didn't know for sure. That would need to be fixed at some point before the twins arrived.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"You don't need words cyar'ika I feel it when you look at me that adoration you transmit to me." They walked together arm in arm the guards showed no reaction their training forbade it.

"So we go down a few levels" they headed to the lift all of them nearly standing. Draco and his broad shoulders rubbing against the guard. She laughed it was a funny sight she knew he could best them all of he wanted.

As they dropped down to the right floor opening up to show them the sleek tubular looking cars with an engine ready to pull them out.

"Well look our ride" She slipped into the first car the seats were set by rows it didn't look comfortable but it wasn't built for that it was built for speed for efficiency.

"Everyone find a seat" Faith sat down so she could look out and around "lots of rock I'm sure might better to not have windows" She took hold of Draco's hand "so. Lets hope we don't get stuck" she said playfully. She had not said anything more about rings or marriage. She wasn't pushing. She wanted him happy and if this was what made him happy she was ok with it. They were together. It was all that mattered

"So anymore hints on my surprise"

The train they were taking to the space port wasn't a luxury transport by any means. It was obviously built for mass transit, which no doubt it would do very well for New Crevasse City. That fact didn't bother him at all, he was used to taking the cheap routes and using public transportation. Often times he had to use public transports to get to certain places he was often called to, so that wasn't an issue. He could see the rock and darkness of the tunnels outside and smiled at Faith. She was his stability, otherwise he might have been a little nervous to be in a dark tunnel again, even after all these years whenever he was in a tunnel like this he was used to checking for the chittering of crystal teeth.

Draco took his seat right beside Faith, still holding her arm in his comfortably. "Oh, I'm sure if it goes outside the windows will make for a lovely view of the city. Certainly their are bridges so the train can cross to the other side of the canyon?" He was reassuring her of the train. He liked it, it was something that would be helpful in raising their children, and it didn't look half bad to the people seeing their Princess and would-be Prince together and using the same train as them.

"Hmmm, let me think about it. You certainly earned at least one more from the gift you gave me. I know what drew me to it was because it was from Alderaan, something one of your ancestors used to own all those years ago. But let me see if I can think of a hint without giving it away." Draco's mind trying to remember any information about it that wouldn't give it away. "I liked it because it was a gift from Han Solo to Leia," Well, he had wanted it to be a gift to his princess all those years ago, but she wouldn't end up getting it for a couple of decades after he tried to give it to her.

"Does that help you any?" He asked, secretly hoping it didn't at all, and she wouldn't be able to guess before she saw it for the first time with her own eyes. She had probably seen holograms and pictures of it in the archives, but so very few had ever laid eyes upon the real thing this century.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

The thought of being stuck wasn't bad it was the dark being stuck in the dark. She kept hold of Draco a bit harder than she wanted trying not to show her unease. She would take a thranta any day.

She was listening focused on Draco seems the gift she gave him earlier has a lasting effect his finger prints were likely embedded on her. He was a passionate man.

"Yes it should leave the tunnel. And have great views" she was ready, "you mentioned dancing going out. Id,like that", yes to move her body to music and not worry about who saw her. They best go quickly.

"I'm thinking" Han got Leia something he got her. She had a feeling "I can't wait to see it." She closed her eyes to rest and think about history. What was it hmm

"Is it bigger than a breadbox?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled as the train exited the tunnel and for a moment was out in the sun, racing across a bridge as the couple sat, chatting and flirting with each other. They had a lot of dating and courting to do in not a lot of time, and so he cherished every moment alone they had together deeply. Outside he caught brief glances of the city, lights shining, the sun reflecting off windows, the long shadows growing little by little up the canyon wall, afternoon sun setting in.

"Yes, I mentioned going dancing or clubbing. Or even just going out on a couple proper dates before the twins arrive." He grinned at her. Draco's version of a date wasn't one activity, it was normally dinner, something where they moved around a lot, followed by something they could sit, cuddle and watch together, and then he could play the rest by ear. She deserved at least one or two of those dates in the near future. One or two at the minimum. He made the note to take her out like that at least once a month from now until the last star died in the heavens.

"Two hints?" His voice was teasing as he felt the little added pressure on his arm. He was here, there was nothing to worry about. "I don't know if I can give you two hints for one present." The train slid to a stop, but the doors hadn't quite opened yet. He feigned considering her question for a moment, seemingly reluctantly giving up the information. "Its bigger than a breadbox, but you owe me now."

The light buzzed and changed color subtly, and the doors slid open, the guards making room for the Princess and her Knight-Errant to make their way off the train without having to push or shove through people.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"Proper dates? What do you call a proper date?: She smiled as they train finally broke into the light, oh good she thought the tunnel did not fall in on them as she had feared it might. She could see the landscapes of Alderaan again. Not everyone who lived on Alderaan could afford private transports, or speeders, or thranta. No there were quite a few that relied upon public transportation and this train was one of many that would help the citizens of Alderaan resume normal lives again.

"Well you plan one of these proper dates, let Ana know when it is, so that she can clear my calendar and we will go." So how would they work their guards out for that? Would they go? Of course they would, why wouldn't they?

"Bigger than a breadbox, hmmm" there were many things that were bigger than a bread box so, she knew it wasn't jewelry it came in small boxes, and it wasn't clothes, so that left a great many things. "OH I owe you " She laughed and pat his arm as they passed the guards to walk onto the platform, "What do I owe you? Hmmm, you seek a gift, a compliment, another shower, or..something else entirely....for I could come up with a great many things to, well owe you"

She kept smiling at him even as they walked, she was not in follow mode he would have to lead her where they were going.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled and the pair, and their escort started making their way on foot from the station towards the space port. Technically he was leading her now, only barely guiding her as they walked for the space port and the landing bay the ship he had for her was located. "Well, I consider a date a dinner at a nice restaurant away from the crowds, a show or museum or dancing, and then something along the lines of watching the sunset somewhere or going to a park together after dark." He would work something for them to do up while he was away and she was seeing to the kingdom following Alderaan's declaration of neutrality. She was still recovering after all.

"Well, how about you owe me a date?" There were other things she could give him or offer him, but what he really wanted was her love and affection, and so, an opportunity to earn that, and whatever else she offered him, would be the best gift she could give him. He would enjoy the shining of her eyes that night, and the look she would have that night. That would probably be best for them both, and he would certainly still feel like she was giving him a gift. "I want to get to see you happy more than anything else, so getting to take you on a date would fulfill my desires."

After a moment, they approached the docking bay, and inside the chromium plated J-Type Apailana-class Elite Transport. "To be truthful, I've had the ship for a while, and I've been waiting to give it to you until we were able to be together in public. But your other gift is on board." Oh, the Duke would probably be eating his heart out to hear about them together in public, and whether he would even try to top the gifts Draco was giving was a mystery. Probably not. He wasn't trying to impress Faith, he just wanted a title and influence. The thought of it made Draco pull her just a little closer, a little tighter. "I love you ner runi, do you like the ship?"

Faith looked up at the ship slowly letting go of Draco's arm. She marveled at its sleek design the rounded edges it was a work of art, she looked back at Draco, "Is this really for me?"

No one had ever given her a ship before not like this, not..."Is it for my personal use? Or for um diplomatic missions?" She reached up to touch the ship, "Does it have a name?"

She couldn't believe it really whether this ship was for work or pleasure the depth of Draco's generous spirit was stealing her heart away, if she had not already given it to him so completely this would have been proof to her that he was so much more than his armor.

What do you say to a man who offers his vulnerable side to you, and then brings a gift the size of a ship? I love you seemed so little she shook her head, man rarely said the words of endearment they preferred actions.

She smiled she would just have to give him those gentle reminders of how much she loved him, and their children. The heirs to whatever legacy they forged that their children would inherit, if they only inherited a tenth of Draco's generosity she'd be content.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco's grin disappeared as he simply looked at his mate admiring the least of the gifts he had to offer. Certainly it was special, and from the heart, a ship meant for a Princess or a Queen. "It really is for you Ner Runi." He said with a soft smile that slowly faded as she reached up and touched the ship. In moments like this, Draco often pondered how he had been so lucky, to have earned such a woman's love and affection thus far. How far he had already come from what he had been when they had met. That she had looked past all the obvious darkness and black spots on his record to see him for what he was truly.

"Its yours, to use as you need it to be used. Be that Diplomatic Missions, Personal use, or whatever else you need it for. I want you to have it, and I hope its good enough to represent you properly, but I don't see how it could capture even a fraction of your beauty and divinity." He took a few steps closer to her, slipping his hands on her hips, holding her from behind, marveling at how lovely she was, sensing her awe and gratitude through the Force. He hadn't suspected such a reaction for the ship, and now he couldn't really fathom how pleased she would be to see the other thing, hanging in the ship's main hold.

"Come, let me show you the inside. There is a vip bedroom and your other gift to look at. You can even try your hand at flying it." Not that he would be able to help her much. He would be lucky to fly anything without assistance from droids. Mostly he was just excited to see her face when she saw the painting he had scoured the stars to bring to her. He was proud of that gift, the ship he wasn't so much. Perhaps he was being modest, it was a lovely ship after all.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

She felt his hands rest gently on her hips she leaned back ever so slightly this was hers, truly hers she just did not know what to say. As much as he called her his soul he was her heart if she lived the next 100 years feeling like she did at this very moment it would still not be enough of a lifetime.

She turned to look at him, "The ship represents more than just me. It represents how much you love me that you would think of this." She took his hand as they began to walk inside and he began to describe the ship, "VIP bedroom huh, why does that part not surprise me" She was teasing him taking into consideration where they were prior to coming out to look at his gift to her.

"I think you are just providing additional places to be rewarded in" She laughed then nodded to Captain Lindsey an indication that they could all stay outside the ship. Certainly there weren't potential assassins or kidnappers in the ship.

"Another gift, you really are looking for something else huh, you can't change twins into triplets no matter how many times we bed together, you know that right?" Yes still teasing him even as they walked. Though him trying to do so would certainly be worth doing.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco spoke softly, "If you decide to reward me right here, I won't stop you." He grinned roguishly at her as he lead her up the ramp, "It might be a good way to break in the ship, even." He wouldn't mind it, Draco would enjoy that greatly in fact, though that wasn't what he was fishing for. He wanted to see the look on your face when she saw it for the first time. He was excited for it, and he wanted to see it himself and memorize her features in that moment.

"Well, you might have to prove that, cyar'ika. You know I like to make the most of the weekends I get to steal you away from everyone else." He squeezed her gently, thinking momentarily of Arianna, the Duke, the Countess. He needed these weekends in her arms, with her wrapped in his embrace. Even with their children on the way, the obstacles keeping them from happiness seemed to be mounting and growing. Perhaps it was just the universe, putting one final test to them.

"Its right in here," he guided her up the ramp and into the main cabin of the ship. Hanging on the far wall was a painting of moss, and flowers, in a special frame that kept the whole thing watered properly and evenly. For close to Eight Hundred years, Killik Twilight had been missing, lost well before the Gulag Plague, before the rebuilding of Alderaan. Draco was smiling now, turning so that he could pull her towards it and still see her face. "So, what do you think Ner Runi?"

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"Oh you are sooo bad" She laughed as they entered the ship Faith began looking around this was hers. All hers. Wow, unbelievable that it was hers. It was all she kept thinking about how much this was all hers.

Until that moment her gaze fell upon the frame.

Slowly taking in the art, slowly reverently moving towards it she fought the urge to touch it. Her lips parts as she softly whispered "oh my" Lost treasures of Alderaan 800 years lost and here it was in its full glory, beautiful stunning and she just couldn't find the words to ask questions, everything her emotions, her words all began to fill her.

Sadness, happiness filled with total awe as she stared at her gift. Obviously he knew the story behind it he knew that Han had tried to get it for Leia. But here her Draco, her Dragon had it.

She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes she shook her head, "Draco" she called slowly she turned to look at him a tears rolling gently down her cheeks, "Cyar'ika" Beloved the word meant so much more in this moment, "where did you find this?" oh my she ran towards him throwing her arms about his neck. "I love it you don't know how much I love it"

She began kissing him over and over until her lips pressed against his she could feel the very life of him beating in his chest as she claimed him. There was not enough time for rewards in the entire galaxy for this gift. She would spend a lifetime rewarding him, and expressing how much this single item meant to her, and to the people of all Alderaan heritage.
