Draco walked through the city and finally found his way to what would be their apartment. He didn't mind the idea of living in the city and vacationing out in the lake country. Perhaps something like a weekend home out on the lake he could take her to, just to get away from the city and politics and have her to himself, even if for only a weekend at a time. He knew when they had originally got together that they would have to share each other's time and attention, and have to juggle a lot of work, family, and each other starting off. It would get easier with time, but Draco wasn't one to slip into a routine. He needed to be spontaneous sometimes, to sweep through town, grab her up and run off with her.
He and the people following him made their way into the apartment, and Draco directed traffic. There wasn't much that needed to be done. Just a monitoring system and proper locks, replacing the doors with Turadium, and the windows with a transparent variant of Turadium. He wanted to be safe in his home, but he refused to be overbearing with his family. He couldn't bring himself to take away from them and depreciate their lives for his peace of mind. He would be a worrier, it would happen, and he would fuss over Faith whenever she did something he felt to be a risk, but he couldn't bring himself to lock her and their child away in a neat little box. It wasn't fair to her to do that.
As he walked in and found her, he smiled wide, "Good afternoon love. I missed you," Draco's voice was soft and affectionate, and even though she hadn't begun to show he wanted to hug her and kiss her, and make sure she was whole and feeling well. He wanted to coddle and take care of her every need while he was here with Faith. He knew she would want to maintain some of her independence, but perhaps after being separated for a time she would let him take over. He outstretched his arms to her waiting for her to fall into his embrace.
