Obsidian Butterfly

Dutifully doing as instructed, her breathing slowed and she found her use of the air was strangely easier than she knew, perhaps one day she would harness fire and air. Becoming a lighter, less impetuous Jedi. For now the air in her lungs, which she had always worked to ignite, was instead willed to remain in them, albeit with some discomfort.

The sight was disgusting, and you could see it across her face. Good thing for all she hadn’t eaten any more chocolate! She had to dip a hand to her stomach and the other to her face, holding the back of her hand to her lips to be double sure she covered her nose.

It corrupts. Heeding the rest of his warnings, she knew to take him seriously at times like this. Something she respected in him. It corrupts was something she struggled with. How did a being corrupt by its nature. She understood his words but her old lingering dogma, all is the will of the force, was in the way of her acceptance of what he said. Holding her tongue and not questioning, so many puzzles to overcome from the past.

Sent through the force ~“Can it be saved?~ An odd question but she had been saved. If there was hope for her, then there was hope for anything? Idealistic. She was trying to speak to both Jedi at once with mindspeak, which she was finding difficult but was practicing. Taking Syn Syn ’s offer hand she lifted herself up and moved to drop down the other side. Taking his lead again, and helping Liber down the other side. Helping still wasn’t natural for her, but she was making progress. It felt right.

Staring through the darkness and looking for any sign of the creature… Older than him? Flashback, she remembered how he had told her of the girl he watched grow into a woman from his cage, and her children, now to still be here when they had all come and gone. She touched his arm, though he might not know why. Walking beside Syn, she understood with her bargain she would suffer that fate too, slower aging, not as long as he but long enough. ~Pieces of the past the galaxy has forgotten.~ Somedays she understood exactly what that meant, ~but we must find and remember.~ Who else could find the stray Jedi, or find the threats in the dark that lingered awaiting the unwary, no one else even knew these threats existed. Her hand moved to her saberstaff and rested across the hilt.

Seeking conclusions to the past in the dark.

He was listening and he did think about it but he knew such a creature was less... beneficial. "Not likely such a creature is designed to kill... it might not have the thoughts enough to get out of its base instincts." He was not going to discount the possibility of such a thing but there was a highly unlikely chance of it happening as he crouched down and waited there in the dark. "Stay here." He said it and moved toward the center of the larger area quickly and quietly. Taking a moment to look around as he waited for the scent of the shadowfang to appear within his nostrils. He looked towards one of the passages and narrowed his focus.

He placed his feet apart just enough and lifted one leg... bringing it down with a reverberating stomp that echoed through the caves themselves and he could practically see it rebounding off of the stone. That seemed to draw its attention and he repeated it again as he stood there. Letting his body focus internally on the force and the jedi master rolled his shoulders to loosen himself up. He focused the force into his bones and his muscles.. into the very fiber of his being and his skin became taut with veins in the arms showing. The muscles bulking up just a little before the sounds of the beast came through the cave and he breathed out with the force calming his body in preparation.

"He isn't doing what I think he is... is he?" Liber said it from the shadows low and careful while she was watching not wanting to well.. not wanting to run the risk that she was going to face a beast they could not easily fight. Meanwhile Syn had prepared himself and as the think was coming it shimmered from the genetically augmented shield it could produce which was what made it dangerous. As it charged and roared he braced himself and didn't move until it was baring down on him with a massive snap as they opened and closed. Then he moved forward at the last moment to grab his massive teeth holding the top and the bottom as the jaw closed in place for a moment.

Wise to tell her to wait, Sera a touch overzealous to want to heal the world. She would have probably tried to offer it food. Liber tugged on her sleeve to dissuade her following him, though she would have stayed anyway, there was that keenness to save a life but a duty to Syn holding her to her spot.

He isn’t doing what I think he is, is he?

“More thank likely yes.” Sera closed her eyes, folded her hands beneath her robes, exhaled and smiled. She was learning more about him the longer they were together.

The moment came, the danger close. A danger that she felt that was still part of her. Sera’s Master took on a form ready to subdue the creature, grabbing it to close its jaw. Seeing the beast was a bioengineered creation, her insides felt like they were stomping their feet down in protest. She’d made beings like these in Keth’s temples, she’d helped him. Liber tried to hang on to her sleeve and Sera wrestled with the urge to cleanse what she had built, and her Master's command.

There was huge uncertainty in the force, Liber could probably feel it and Syn definitely if he wanted to. Kill it, destroy it, burn it, cleanse it. Inside she chanted, echoing outward her hand looked like it could explode into flame. Liber once again tugged on her sleeve, a mix of emotions from the Priestess. “We have to try.” Sera edged forward, head bowed, she had no gift for animal bonding like Kylraya possessed, or mental attacks like Glade, but she knew what this was. Looking the creature in the eye, understanding, compassion but also equality. She had been shaped and molded just as it had, not with the knife but by the same hand.

No words, looking directly into the soul of the shadow fang, she crouched low not by its side but closer than she should be. It might scratch or claw at her, even as Syn wrestled. ~End or Freedom~ Simple mental impulse questions to the creature, understanding its torment. Once she had felt the same like there was only death or survival, but Syn had shown her that even basic instincts need not be destructive, they could simply be natural. "Please Master, let it choose." He would probably know if it was deception, but capturing it may prove harder than killing it and training it even harder still. Either way they would have tried and done all they could. She believed he had strength enough to tame the darkness within his hands, if there was any hope for it at all, it was with Syn.

He was not certain what Sera Inkari Sera Inkari was doing or planning as he held the creatures head between his hands... from just the teeth he was working to prevent it from attacking and going after her. The massive legs with claws moved from its side trying to get at her but he held him steady and there was the massive jaws he kept a tight grip on it. Where he was looking at the beast seemed to not calm down but it resigned itself so that it wouldn't break its own jaw and teeth. he could move quickly as the force pushed through to make sure it knew what and who was in charge. Liber was staying a distance away but she was offering moral support with her hands. "Ahh go team." The jedi master didn't need to turn his head but he spoke towards Sera. "If you think you can reach him then do but even i can have limits restraining a beast this size."

Syn wasn’t certain. Sera wasn’t certain either! Team. Yes. Liber was right. “We are a team Liber, help him.” There had to be something Liber could do even all the way over there to help, maybe stop its feet lashing out or its claws with a force pull. Pressing it down with the force or calming the beast, something the Jedi could do even, make calming or predatory noises of an equal. Calming a shadowfang was probably not possible but a wild wolf was not calm, yet it still stood beside a man it respected. Syn could be that man, he had been for her. Idealism perhaps, but hope.

Her Master held it, just like he held them all, a protecting guiding hand. Syn had the strength to pause from the killing blow. Which was twice the strength of most, to assess and judge first. Even risking injury, which was the quality in him she admired. Sera did hurry, she took her Master’s warning seriously. She wasn’t calm, she was fire, dedication and faith. There was no real peace within her still, so she looked to the Shadowfang as an equal, with the fire she had at the back of her soul in the words and action. Seeking a force bond.

Staying really low at eye level with the creature. Mindspeak hadn’t worked, obviously, she was no nature expert and didn’t know how to ‘act’ or put on a performance. Sera didn’t act or put on a show. Through their force connection, she sent two pictures to the beast, two options, needing only a tug or pull of instinct toward one or the other.

The first, an end. No more suffering, a peaceful rest. No more consuming hunger. Peace. It’s death. Though surely it would fight, it didn’t have to be alone as it died. An unspoken mercy even to a misshapen beast forever trapped in solitude.

The second, a place, a pack, guarding and snapping at those who challenged its pack. She couldn’t unmake what a shadow fang was. But it no longer had to be alone. Was she asking for one more addition to her Master’s growing gang, yes. Syn may well say no of course, but it need not be a permanent addition, the pack could be any group they left it guarding. If they could control such a beast. She idly wondered what Alema would say about bringing aboard another stray!

The choice wasn’t hers, or Libers, it was the beast in Syn’s hands, and his grip that would decide next what happened. She had done all she knew how, wishing for a force bond, willing it to be so with the beast as she stared it in the eye. Wanting that connection that Kylraya had once found. She did not know if it was within her to form it, such things were fickle. Even with it, the creature may still choose a fighting death...

The jedi master was listening to her and first place his mind went was... ah have you seen the size of this thing? He was holdings it teeth to keep the jaws closed and its claws were the size of people... it wasn't exactly a small pup of a tuk'ata that you could keep in a room. He was listening to her while Liber seemed to inch forward and placed one hand on the creature mostly to try and calm it. "Yep you are both crazy.... and I am not exactly the most impressive jedi." She said it but he could tell she was working and pushing the force to try and calm the thing. He knew another thing as well she might be scared but she was trying to be just like most jedi as she had been trained.

"The beast is dangerous on its own, the Vaale were known for little more then spreading a sort of madness. The combination of the two is more dangerous but I am uncertain if it would be able to be calmed down let alone kept." He was focused on keeping him steady before pulling the beast down and into the ground. Dislodging its feet that were on the floor but he remained there looking at the beast as it stayed there but each time it tried to shake the jedi master loose he held him in place and his presence pushed on the creature so it would stay still. He left room for Sera and Liber to focus on the force and try to calm the creature.

There was a slight grin. “Size matters not.” Yodaisms. At least when you weren’t holding its jaw! She flurried her robes remembering just who and what she was. She was Sera Inkari, third heir to the water of life, and a priestess of the burning globe. “Thank you Both." They were all helping.

Standing tall as lower down wasn’t working. “And, should our ship have a porch, I will sleep on it.” She flurried her robes. Meaning she would do everything she could to save a life today, including sleep in its cage, endure madness. Whatever it takes. Life was precious, but an overcompensation within her for taking lives with the Sith on show as her motivation.

How would the three of them calm a behemoth. Maybe it couldn’t be done. Better a bad attempt to save its existence. All she had were her gifts of fire and what she feared, foresight. To save a life. That was when this power was worth the cost and risk.

While Syn held firm, and Liber did her best to calm or restrain the creature. Drifting off, Sera entered a trance. Never before had her Master seen her willingly surrender herself to farsight in its entirety. Not disappearing from view, but in the force she was a blur, like she could just disappear! The waking current of the dream. Her hand held outward as if parting it, farseeing taking every sense, all the sounds and sights merged together in a million different channels. This was a place she had feared to return, but you couldn’t fight what you were forever. She had him. His guidance and… ~I need your voice.~ She called to Syn Syn ’s mind, a fragile call that held a great deal of fear, so she didn’t lose her way. Not ready to be alone within the dream, reaching for Liber’s hand. Liber could be a rock for her also, even if Liber could do less for the beast, the knowledge of a grounding presence was welcome.

All the moments became one, every possible strand, from the most likely futures to the least likely. Everything was explored until the most likely future for success was seen at the head of a hundred, where most points connected.

Still in her dream. From her belt she took out her glitterstim. Which exposed that she carried it to both, though they knew not her addiction they would see it plain as day. Applying it liberally to some dry rations. Kintan’s priestess walked to the creature and held the feast under its nose, dropping crumbs of rations through the tiny gaps in its mighty jaw. The telepathic properties of the spice were undeniable.

“It will eat and it will hear you, not just the madness and the violence and the darkness but everything else you’ve ever been through, to be who you are. It will see and hear all of what is balanced beside the darkness. I can’t reach it Master I never could. You can just by being there. You will know whether there is anything but the dark madness there within.” Beyond its size, its reputation, or its stigma there would be cold factual truth. And he could end it or they could save it if there was anything there to save. At least, that was what her sight told her, but telling the future was a fickle thing. Her eyes opened as the last crumbs fell into the small gaps she had found in the huge teeth, Glittersim also gave a pleasurable sensation to those which ate it, perhaps the edge they needed to settle the beast.

She was a flame but he was the shadow that the beast drew fangs from. A shadow gripping a shadowfang. He was already its equal in the darkness but he was so much more. Was there anything inside the beast but madness? Now was the time to find out.

She couldn't see what she was doing.. not really but he caught the scentin the air as his gaze narrowed when she started feeding it. Using his grip and the force to keep the large jaws shut with one hand... and the other went to Sera to help ground her as she was doing something. He knew a lot about the force but he didn't often go for aids or something like this. "Spice." he said it in more of a monotone but Liber was there to try and hold Sera Inkari Sera Inkari close so that she would be grounded. Her wrapped an arm around her to ground her and focused the force to hold the creature down and still. Ever expanding and contracting to hold the creature there.. to protect both Sera and Liber while he pushed the force and spoke.

"Focus on me." She was going into her mind but there was a danger to that... he wasn't going to let her get lost in her own thoughts before the jedi master focused and could see where the beast was from... where he was protecting. The spice doing a little but mostly making it go to sleep as the chemicals reacted to it. Deeper into the mountains was what they wanted to try and find and stop.. he had been able to sense the collection fo the darkside here and it was far more dangerous then he liked normally. The Vaale were a danger in some regards but they were mostly manipulators who relied on proxy fighters to take the heat for them.

"Liber scout ahead, I have this handled... Sera just needs a moment to breathed and then we are going to join you." The jedi master said it and looking up at him Liber nodded untangling herself from the pair before she was moving through the caves into the mountain carefully to scout ahead and try to get any information that they might be able to get. He breathed in deeply with the force where he checked around. He let her move and didn't say anything just looked at Sera trying to determine how far she was with the spice... a dangerous thing to have but shehad kept it under control enough to deceive him.

Focus on me… they both helped her through, she'd touched her innate talent, her fears, and survived it because of them. Liber leaving them alone gave them space they needed to resolve it. “Now you know.” Sera felt relief. As the farseeing faded she felt quite tired, it was not an ability you could just conjure up with no cost.

As the beast began to settle, the shadowfangs thoughts became a telepathic beacon that was easier to read for anyone, the glitterstim enhancing all abilities to hear, making all thoughts easier to read. They would need a healthier substitute to feed the creature, one of the light rather than kessel, but she believed they could do it with how settled it had become.

But Syn knew. Not just the beast’s nature but hers, and she would explain as he watched her for signs. She had sacrificed the knowledge of her glitterstim use to save the creature. Sacrifice to gain, an old trait of her Sith Master, taken to a lighter place. He had shown her the value of life not sacrifice, but those reminders were there still.

Her voice was distant almost and withdrawn. “When our enemies the galactic alliance attacked our Sith emperor, I used glitterstim.” She recounted, “when our fleets attacked in reprisal, I used glitterstim.” Her eyes were deep currents, potential farseeing still at the edges, “to fight other seers in our never-ending war to shape our future, I used glitterstim.”

Kneeling down to tap the creature on the side, “when we met, I stopped. Do you remember how I had sweat on my brow,” she had sweated from time to time, felt the pangs, and the temptation to use the substance to help her abilities was mixed with the temptation to use it to forget. Syn may notice for example how she hadn’t removed it from her belt even now, her amber robes folding over any trace of it instinctively.

Maybe it wasn’t only their new potential fang companion that needed new healthier herbs to assist or settle them. “So.” She looked up. “What now.” Asking openly. What now with the giant creature, what now with their living arrangements and what now with his students' glitterstim use exposed, but she had resisted using it here again on herself, even if her hand was shakey as she replaced it to her belt.

What now?..... The thought was there as he listened and he knew that jedi and sith used stims and spices... meds to enhance their abilities it was a flaw sure but also something that could be powerful if you wanted a quick boost. He was looking at her and moved quickly maintaining the force but the creature was numbing and getting more drowsy as he spoke lifting her up to look down at her. "What now?" He saidit and moved to fingers along her forehead... down the side of her cheek and stopped at her chin. "Now we move forward, dwelling on the past can do a lot but it can also weigh you down. If you have stopped... if you are not using it then I see no reason to hold it against you."

He kept his gaze in the force on Sera Inkari Sera Inkari but he didn't move just remained there holding her steady as she had focused hard.. she likely also knew the dangers and price that could come from it in tryingto calm a creature compared to just fighting it like he had planned to. "it will be dangerous Sera, in many ways but I am here and you have more then enough time to heal yourself... just remmeber that you can come to me wheneer you feel you need to speak. I am not one to judge." He said it and was moving to look at the creature who was calm and almost sedate while reaching out. One had on him as he focused the force to put him into a trance.

"That will keep him calm and until I wake him up... sleeping. I am uncertain your plan but if you believe it can be done then I will trust in your abilities." He said it as he finished up and looked towards the path Liber had taken to scout ahead. The jedi master was allowing the force to flow through him as he started walking to catch up with Liber and moved Sera so she could focus. Feeding force energy into her as he pulled it from the planet itself. Generating energy was something powerful a few jedi knew how to do by grounding themselves and he was feeding it into the two of them to revitalize and refresh both of their capabilities.

“You always surprise me.” Her voice whispered, resting her cheek to his hand and closing her eyes, staying there for a much-needed respite. “Thank you,” she said quietly, and it was the single biggest release of emotion he'd have seen from her, in the quietest possible way. A different reaction would have meant been the need to pull away, defend or feel guilt over her past. But there wasn't, there was just acceptance from a friend. She wanted to give the stim pouch up to pass it over forever, but their time wasn’t opportune as their mission lay before them, and the others were already moving ahead.

Giving the pouch up. She resolved to do that at the next opportunity. To be free of it. Her hand shook slightly at the thought, and the beads of sweat threatened to appear. Though she would crave, she would sweat and she may shake. It'd be real. She’d be real, “no more living a dream.” She exhaled to herself, and although she wanted to slump over, he was renewing all of them even as they moved.

Did she have a plan for their new friend, maybe? Taiden knew herbs, although she didn’t speak with her old crew for obvious reasons, maybe it was time to change that too. His herbs might be what they needed to calm a ravenous beast. Lightside fruit? Did they have enough to feed a small barn? She smiled softly and blinked once.

Duty called. She followed after them both behind the pair. “What can we expect ahead?” Because even with a full life lived, a Jedi’s work was never done. Very glad of that she was, almost a bounce in the priestesses graceful steps.

He stopped when he found Liber and looking towards the structures in front of them. it was massive and he could see all of it. The buildings were a purpose... each one filled with life... or something that might have been in. The Vaale were twisted in many ways they liked to imprison for decades even centuries people ina sort of mental loop that kept them alive to suffer and feed them.. that was what made it so dangerous and why not many tried to fight them."Mental attacks." He said it and was looking at it before stopping and he was able to feel it.. a pressure int he force and in the air itself as he held a hand up and held it forward. Ripples in the energy were there and he kept Liber from moving into it or touching it.

"Careful." He said it and moved forward letting Sera Inkari Sera Inkari and Liber follow behind him while he was making a bubble around them and it shimmered and flared froms oemthign exerting pressure upon it. Trying to get in with white tendrils that came from the air itself and shapoes.. figures around. Changing shape almost as soon as you looked at them but you could make out what they were. Arms that were long and thin... fat and multi jointed... hairy but then would be almost snake like and smooth. Red eyes with impossibly large mouths and the jedi master spoke. "The jedi have faced them before... fought them but they are not like other things..."

He stayed there watching it and pushing forward as he brought a hand up and focused motioning for Liber and Sera to get closer and stay within the bubble of protection. It was shrinking for the moment before the jedi master stopped and breathed in and out for a moment keeping himself focused and ready for it. The shapes pressing against as it tried to get in and shatter what protection they had. THe jedi master could feel them trying to sear and prod into his mind. He could feel and he could shield Liber and Sera more when they got closer and it was getting stronger.. he allowed the force to radiate outwards from himself to repel the horrors that they were trying to show him.

Sera’s mental defense was not actually trained as well as some, something they could probably practice together at some point, today she was getting plenty of practical experience! Picturing a candle in her mind to keep horrors outside their bubble at bay. They licked and spat the flame she focused on, threatening to snuff it out and overwhelm her meager techniques. The force birthed new creation, peaceful flow fell over her, for the first time in decades.

Firepath.

Shapes and sounds wailed and writhed against the force bubble, she did something she’d never tried before, used fire protectively. Outside their bubble flame would begin to rise and burn to the sides and behind, controlled warmth as air ignited to her command. Aggressive negotiations with the darkness, a far cry from how uncontrolled she had been as an apprentice. It wasn’t as precise or strong as she wanted but it did carve out a path leaving a smoldering fire behind them.

Hands raised up and fingers outstretched as she walked the fire with them. It was an overt way to do mental defense but then it gave her something very strong to focus on and did protect her, hopefully to distract liber too, waking them up to the fact there was a small inferno a few feet away at all times. The birth of the walk of fire, the crafted flame. Beneath her breath, she offered a small prayer for those she walked with and gave thanks for their strength.

Lider was staying close as the jedi master remained in control where he could. trying to really push the force outward and strengthen the bubble. It shimmered green as he used more of his willpower to reinforce the shield. Where he was looking now though he could see Sera Inkari Sera Inkari adding fire to the outside as it seemed to more keep them away and getting closer to the city itself he stood taller as the shapes stopped coming around. Backing away for the moment at least as the jedi master stood there and looked upon it with the force. "We are here." he said it but was checking out some buildings with the force. he could feel the life within as he stepped towards it and opened the doors.

The interior was dusty... cobwebbing strewn across it as the central area held a writhing mass of flesh that the people were in. Bodies partially emanciated from lack of food and it looked like they would perish but their chests kept rising and falling. The jedi master spoke going over towards it. "They hold beings within their thrall.. in a dream like state and feed off the energies. Eventually it becomes dangerous to release them as the body has eaten away at the muscles and body." He said it and had a look on hi face though touching the mass that moved under his hand but didn't try and grab at them after one tendril exploded touching the barriers edge.

After a moment only a single flame remained, dancing on its own soon to be snuffed out too. Living fire was almost in her grasp but the flames still needed material to burn or constant force energy from her, and so they soon all simmered down to untouched kindling behind them to conserve her strength. Taking a sip of water to quench her ongoing thirst.

Quiet grace marked her entry as always, wrapping her hands together and seeking the dreamers within the dream. There was a heightened chill down her spine. The dreamers, Syn had chosen this place, and she instantly knew why. Triple A eyes grew intense, a look to Syn of admiration, apprehension and acknowledgment all in one.

What she could become, “never waking from their dream.” Facing her fears. Each unfortunate soul they came across given reflection, “are they alive?” Obviously they were alive, but “do they know who or what they are?" How long had they been lost here? Despite his words that not all could be moved. The obvious question was coming, how many can we save and how. She may not even need to ask by this point, with how in sync they were beginning to work. Liber also turned to her silently, as if expecting the request to save everyone by this point from the priestess, the two Jedi just looking at each other.

Staying behind both Liber and Syn in this place, she reached her hand out inside the bubble, looking to sense what might await them all on their path. To feel any elemental connection or movement ahead, seeking hints of a subtle change in temperature or warning signs of body heat. Retracing her hand suddenly with the tendril contacting the barrier, so cold, she almost shivered.

"In a way, they won't survive if they are removed and in a dream many things can happen." He was looking at it and there was more to it he was sure but touching it and repulsing what was there the jedi master sneered a little. It was fleshy and he could see more here... there was a lot of dangerous things one could encounter in dream he knew... even more there were ancient things... things connected without distance. "A person I knew once, said that all things dream, it creates something which knows no bounds which is what made those who could inflence and use it most dangerous since they could trick the mind and body to harm itself."

He stayed there not looking at Sera Inkari Sera Inkari but the jedi master worked with the force more to search and find what else there was here... this had grown around the people as they stood enthralled. "Whatever this is it is a byproduct of the vaale's rings and the danger but their whatever you want to call it is a problem." He punched the mound and pulled some of the flesh out as metal was there and wires where they checked out things. "They are fused with metal and flesh... it is profane in many ways." Where he was looking though was further out and he could see some more of it as the force screamed with what was happening here.

Ancient things "Many things. Some we bargain with, some that bargain us as if pieces on a board." Sera recounted as if going through her training as a child, her indoctrination and training taught that there were helpless against it, till Syn had started down a better path. Feeling she could offer a glimmer of insight from her old order’s ideals, “our dreams are how we decipher and organize our day in our minds, if someone controlled that, our experiences may be a jumbled confusion when we wake.” A practiced dreamer, her farsight took her into her dream, to better organize the billions of subconscious cues her mind was given to decipher and learn from, which is part of what dreaming for everyone was used for. If that was jumbled “over years and decades, we might wake up different people.” Even one bad night’s rest people felt different let alone ten years' worth of unchallenged restlessness.

“Profane”, it was then she resolved. “We must end and cleanse this torment absolutely.” Some of her old sithness on show. Absolutely meant no trace should be allowed to remain. Raising her chin slightly upward, her posture and bearing became more unfaltering. Watching the vile material ahead, a certain fire burned with the priestess to see this great injustice and torment to the dreamers end.

Pushing his fist through the wall, he should probably wash his hands after that! Sera wanted to glance to Liber for the soap, but sadly could not dismiss the torment of this place so lightly. She was genuinely disturbed, and somewhat angry. Her emotions still running a bit too hot for a Jedi, but they were but a whipser against the torment of this place. She wanted to burn it all.

That got the jedi masters attention as he stood there looking at it and shook his hand. A dangerous attitude but it was not to be unexpected when confronted with well this sort of darkness... He blamed the Vaale... they were older then even him and they were advanced in their technology to the point they had been almost gods to any other species they encountered still in caves or learning to survive. They were different minded.. you couldn't apply certain mannerisms onto a species that when they built anything drove corruption into the air or assailed the mind trying to find a shape that could be perceived. He was allowing the force to spread outwards as Liber went and got something to wipe his hand off.

"We will move through it but if we are not careful that could burn us out and any thoughts will not be helpful." He was checking on it and moved out of the building to go deeper as the fleshy material seemed to be on the walls and more people were around. Some in what looked like speeders and some who were turned into flesh monuments... limbs twisted like trees or bodies strewn in a showing of art to some but they were alive and the jedi master didn't move through it but stayed away from some of the webbing that was around them. He sneered more moving with a hand up that sent the fleshy webbing around and out fo the way for the three of them to move.

Realising as she had said it, seeing the shake of his head, the more reasoned approach he offered. Sera nodded gently, understanding, adapting her sith training to be something more reasonable. “Yes Master, we will try to walk with care.” The words were heartfelt, even if her emotion was more geared to incineration rather than careful steps.

Must be a way to save these souls, she recanted in her own mind. The fleshy material was still reminiscent of the one sith experimentations and biodroids, it was unnerving but familiar. “There must be a way,” she repeated out loud this time, a way to save them, free them, something. It was always at the back of her mind, how can she best help, a completely new Sera mindset. Not realising the alien nature of what surrounded her was beyond her ability to comprehend, or was it?

Reaching out with her senses into the wiring, through the tubes deep down into the creations. Searching out signs of clues of temperature and power sources, and following the elemental guidance within each machine, she almost entered their dream. Were they in pain, were they happy, or in a nightmare?
"They forget their creations, their time passes and they don't realise what becomes of them." Architects, "each project superseding their last." That was all she could sense, alien and foreign intelligence. She was looking to him for guidance, and for how to proceed, turning again to make sure Liber was alright within this place.

Nimir-ra to Iella, Jedi Shadow
He was looking at Sera Inkari Sera Inkari as she seemed to be thinking about it and this far out the jedi master spoke weaving the way through the streets into the central areas where it was spreading from. "It is the way of some. Many species in the galaxy you can understand.. they have similar motives for their actions.. they have the same wants... rarely are there species and creatures that have almost entirely alien motives and thoughts. Other places I have seen them involved and their monuments seem like they were trying to understand what they had found." He didn't say it with anger or a sort of wonder instead he was looking towards the more dangerous aspects... if they didn't know what they did was dangerous to other beings.

"Though they are not like other species that have things beyond their control." These were not zeltrons who had pheromones all of the time or both who could hear just about anything... fleas on an ewok. These were conscious but the dangerouwas feeling a sort of sympathy for them in the dangerous situations. Liber remained close. "You know he serivce corp mapped some fo the worlds they had gone to using old reports from archeologists.. they didn't really have a pattern just appeared over worlds and messed around then seemed to move on making other things in some of the cities." She said it but had been surprised she might actually be useful here.
