He moved a hand to his belt.. one of the few things visible to show he carried anything and removed some of the ration packs he had but it wasn't much while her held the packages. "There is not much, add water and one of these packs can feed a squad of twelve for a month. It was how Matsu designed it for the field and long missions is that understood?" He said it looking towards the two and handed each a packed cube. Sasori and the jedi master had mastered well how to shrink it and compress through art of the small so the food was entire meals that could last for months... why the foodstuffs in some of the ships and temples welcomed the idea of being a generation ship. They would likely never run out.

The boy took it and the jedi master offered a few of the others to people. Watching them before he crossed his arms over his chest and something came to him. The scent on the recycled air when he turned his head and heard a sound. "WHOOOO." The voice was as he remembered it, the scent even the same. "Liber." he said the name with an edge to it but others cleared around. The jedi robed human came forward and had a bottle in one hand. The scent of alcohol heavy but more then that she presented the oppressive nature of it as the force screamed from her before she was making the others back away. "Sorry but they will not leave and will keep coming until you have nothing left."

The jedi master looked at her and visually in the force she looked much the same a little less bright around the edges of the force... to others she was tall and not muscled but not flabby.. average in many ways. The jedi robes were left over from her time in the temple and the manacles were presenting something that could be locked down if she acted up and caused problems. The bottle in her hand and the spills on the robe showing she had been here for awhile. "You look as good as always, come to see me finally old man or are you bringing another padawan to stay here... I could use the company." The jedi master crossed his arms again looking at her.

Sera Inkari Sera Inkari

Seemingly surprise they got enough for two, Sera watched as the Mon Calamari youngling and his companion went away happy with their new rations, idly wondering of their fates, but not farseeing, still not walking the dream away from the moment. WHOOO drew the current of her ocean blue orbs toward a new sound, seeking the mystery of its origin.

Sorry but they will not leave and will keep coming until you have nothing left.

“Why does she...” wear the manacles, and then Sera cut that thought. Walking graceful steps around the prisoner, hands to her waist like she too had them permanently fixed there of late. Not wanting to risk waving them around in case she started a fire or two.

“Does company help?” Sera quizzed, usually seeking solitude over crowds. Genuinely interested in this lady's fate, there it was again, that urge to see ahead and step away from here and now. The stench of alcohol she hadn’t expected, crutches to live she understood very well. Glitterstim still somewhere in a pouch by her side on her cloth belt, one of those curious conversations Sera and her Master still hadn’t had, eluded to but unspoken.

Watching the bottle. She could farsee to find a way through whatever the other suffered, she could seek a clear path. If only she took another mouthful from that pouch she could again do so in high vivid color, walk the dream as if there ahead of time, maybe take the other woman with her in part. All of them, she could… no, that would be to make herself feel good. Such feelings did not last, she withdrew her hand that had been reaching for the pouch.

“What.” Sera looked to them both, “happened.” To us.
She would need the story of what was between the two of them. One of many mysteries they hadn't yet shared

Liber looked at her walking around and spoke. "I mean it doesn't hurt, it gets really boring here at times." She said it and took another swig... "And there is not nearly enough to drink. If I hadn't managed to get one of the synthesizers working might not even have this." The jedi master was looking at her and kept his arms crossed. "You were sent here because you needed a vacation. You violated the code and broke the law." She looked at him..... "And I maintain that sure but you make it sound so harsh... I didn't run even though I could have... I faced you and came in willingly then went through a trial... That is why I am here and not in an actual jedi prison."

"Jedi prisons are reserved for jedi Liber, you couldn't find a master and were sent to the service corps.| That seemed to sting a little but she stood there and looked at Sera. "He really hasn't changed you know... always wanting to try and save some of us. I judt got lost when Kiskla purged many many jedi from the Republic." She still seemed to be looking at Sera Inkari Sera Inkari who was circling her and... "Hey either you are spinning around me or the room is and I have gained a lot of tolerance over the years so I think you are trying to mess with me." She snickered and stayed with another drink before finding a place she could sit down and recline herself.

Sera laughed lightly. Not even realizing and showing some color in her cheeks. She had a habit of walking around people still to put them on the backfoot, an old sith habit. Our amber priestess stopped abruptly but her need to pace or move was more evident in her than it ever used to be. A trait all of them once bonded now shared, there was a movement toward something in all of them.

“Kiskla aided our force when…” and she corrected, “that is, she aided all of us.” Vague but then crusades against sith were vague outbursts of emotion or a driving reason that always ends. What came after in the republic Sera had missed almost entirely, because at the end of the crusade she had worked for whoever she could to get by, using her gifts for crime lords until eventually ending up with her Sith. Her sith? No.

“We all got lost along our way. Mixed emotions, reasons, shattered paths and half-truths” Sera admitted to the Jedi ahead, her part in events had been small and yet huge, depending on what perspective you took. Smiles found their way to Syn Syn , saving everyone, “someone has to try I suppose,” she teased her Master, “but just who looks after him or keeps him from trouble we can wonder.” Warm smile wide, trying to lighten the mood. In a prison of all places, Sera Inkari trying to lighten a mood wonders never ceased.

Then a thought occurred.

“We should take her with us Master, there is room on your ship, and hope in her, she trusts you even though she jokes, and is hurt, she trusts you.” Tilting her head up to him, “we can all help each other.” Sera reached a hand out to receive Liber’s bottle, “if we are ready?” The glittersim on her belt made that last line harder than she’d like.

She wanted to keep coming back here and helping each of them. Sera could keep returning to prison, and yet help. Until she was ready to be free.

He was looking at the two of them and listening to her.... well Liber was always one to make things different as he had learned. Sera's idea though was.... not what he was expecting. "It is true she could be released into jedi custody... not having to take care with a force user would likely make the warden glad." He looked at Liber who had been quiet as the woman had taken her bottle and she shrugged. "I am not actually doing much else... I mean oneof the cell blocks was going to maybe complete a deck of pazaak cards so we would finally be able to play but hey if you think I can be better serving my sentence traveling around the galaxy why not."

She said it and he stepped forward looking down at her. "This will not be a game Liber. Sera believes it will help you and therefore I will believe in her instincts." He said it but motioned with a hand towards one of the upper levels of the hanger and turned his head starring towards the warden who was watching and listening. "Is there any objections?" There was a moment but the large human stood tall with his armed escort to oversee what they had been doing and shook his head. "She was always a jedi problem if they want her back... what do I care there are far to many here for me to handle already and that is without them being able to use the force to influence my guards to get them drinks."

Syn, his trust helped. Without her habitual farseeing Sera barely trusted her own instincts, there was some hesitation inside which she had to ignore. Feeling thankful for his reassurance once more, he really did never give up on them. Right from her first steps off her homeworld, to here, he’d tried. She would never forget.

“Jedi understand Jedi,” Sera admitted to the warden, even if they’d kicked many of them out, her life had given her perspective. She understood why imprisoning one was hard, they had a way of manipulating events regardless of imprisonment. The sith had imprisoned their share, especially on Tython.

Holding the bottle. Full circle had been a long time coming for Kintan’s priestess, and there was a way to go yet. Taking cue from her master, “there is a price for our help liber,” she tipped the bottle's liquid to the floor, “no more reliance to numb your pain.” Deep down there wasn’t a price, she’d take the burden of watching Liber on regardless. Her heart was in the right place. Stern as her look became here, the irony of her own addiction not lost in her tone, unconvincing as it sounded to her own ear. Addiction was not broken in a day, and she doubted she could break Liber’s by taking the bottle, but it was the first step, just like she'd taken.

Ocean blue orbs turned to focus upon their warden, eyes drinking of the man. “I ask that you allow me… us,” she corrected once again, “to return and help others, we will pay what I have to inconvenience you.” Sera dipped her head to the warden, she was stubbornly intending to return anyway, but payment of what little she had might help. Never needing or wanting much for herself anyway.

Bottle placed on the floor and pulling her sleeves back over the burns on her hands, her stern face warmed. “Welcome back Jedi.” She said as much to herself as to Liber, maybe between the three of them, they’d have a chance at finding other wayward souls, it felt right.

"This sin't some shop where you can come and just buy people, some of them have been put here because they did terrible things.. some are just passing through and some got the short end but ended up going bad to survive. Your master might believe there is hope for them and I would like to believe it can be done but some people can't or won't be helped no matter how much you try." The warden hadn't said no and walked away mostly because they weren't in the business of being paid for people to mess with the prisoners. One of the droids though did come down and bring a datapad for requesting to come and help if she wanted to fill out all of the paperwork accepting the risks.

The jedi master though was looking at Liber and Sera Inkari Sera Inkari as she had poured out the alcohol with a raised eyebrow and she seemed to be disappointed but resigned to her fate now. "But it is too early in the morning to be sober." She said it and the jeid master spoke. "It isn't the morning." Then she snickered. "It is happy hour somewhere but fine." She was ready to go... having nothing of value helped as the jedi master turned mostly to look at the others who could be approaching around them and he knew she had stayed here because she wanted to be here... much like the jedi shadows it was a self imposed limits and restriction compared to actual ones and he had just the idea for them back on the ship.

Sera truly was on a quest… and she felt duty. Inspired. Only the trappings of that pull, but a sense of duty to something other than her dogma was something she’d not felt before. Actually beginning to walk after the warden... following him, ready to go on convincing him and sell her merits, to shout the merits of helping people. Animated and ready to scold him for not realising…

She opened her mouth, hand raised with a finger ready to wag high in the air, and nothing came out. Realising how she was acting. Turning back around to the pair, “some cannot be understood,” she sighed about the warden, more deflecting her own emotion than meaning it, and pulled her robes around herself as she trudged back.

Liber said she was ready but was Sera ready? She was hesitating again. Looking downward to where their drink had spilled. Nodding to herself, her hand on her own cheek, not having time to sink into self-introspection because they were surrounded by the small group of prisoners they helped. No want to talk on her own demons further either.

She did have one prisoner on her mind, the Mon Calamari who they’d fed, ~We will come back~ she sent to the young man through their force, who looked up and seemed surprised. Feeling like she was leaving a hundred behind, even if that was better for everyone, was difficult. Following if they did leave, but slowly, like she belonged here or part of her did. Maybe like Liber had felt for a long time, even though Liber could have left previously, she had remained. In self-made cages. Life wasn't just waiting for things that never came. The air around them heated up.

"We need chocolate," she said quietly to them both, "lots of chocolate." A better addiction. A raid on the Jedi-fridge.

The jedi masters eyebrow raised up at that revelation from Sera Inkari Sera Inkari . "Chocolate..." He said it walking and was leading the way through the prison back to the Alema as it gleamed. The living ship was secured and prepared for the group to arrive back there. He clasped his hands behind his back while waiting for the two of them to arrive and he entered the ship with a nod of his head. Liber followed through to join them and she got the manacles taken off of her wrists when she rubbed them where it hurt a little but she tested her reflexes a little. Staying to look towards Sera as the spirit in the ship was there looking at them all.

"Welcome back master." The spirit spoke looking at the two who arrived and Alema mostly spoke as a joke... as much as a massive ship could joke. "Oh we have more guests now... please don't tell me I am running a hotel." She said it but it wasn't sarcastic it was more like a point of fact that she was welcoming them and the jedi master moved quietly into the main area of the ship bringing it and the controls up. Their next destination would have to be something as they went forward. Theship waiting until everyone was on to undock and start leaving. The spirit remaining where she was while Liber found a place to stand on the bridge and look around. "So not much going on here."

Chocolate? “On Pancakes”. Slight smile squeezing her lips together, they’d gone down well when she’d made them last time, maybe other baked goods this time. Something with sprinkles! All going to her waist... maybe they would be low fat, high sugar, high chocolate and fried. Sounded reasonable.

Home at least again, she took off her shoes finally to free her feet, toes wiggling free. “But Alema dear it’s a very nice hotel.” Sera Inkari had developed a bit of banter with Alema over her short time here, more comfortable joking with their hostess ship. She felt she could try to ease any apprehension their new arrival may have, “pay her no attention Liber, just be sure to wash up sometimes else she gets cranky.” Hopefully, no sonic showers would be turned cold for her sassing the ship! Glade would be proud. She liked to think she did her fair share of tidying up and keeping things clean, something her and Glade differed on definitely.

Kintan’s priestess stretched her arms out like an angel to stretch the fatigue out. There had been a lot of lifting and sweeping at the prison. As she joined them on their bridge standing beside Liber, she was still barefoot and looking a bit dirty from her prison trip, not that she ever wore much but the simple robes she had been given anyway.

Lots going on. “Yes. Always lots to do.” Sera looked to find one console that seemed less used than the rest, “Master I never asked, may I request my own console?” Having her own workstation near the bridge might help, and “then if Liber needs one we could share.” They did have a lot of work to do, there were a lot of Jedi out there astray to be redeemed. Good to have a purpose. Not wanting to overstep and ask for two spaces, she already felt like she was imposing a bit, and he’d been quite generous with his home to take on another stray already. But then that was his way, and maybe now hers.

Their next destination. She was having a similar thought. There were old wounds she could heal, but they were selfish fights. There had to be other Jedi out there lost, or left behind that they both could find, people that had fallen through the cracks. Not causing trouble or making a noise, but just missed or forgotten. "Do we have holonet access Alema? Maybe we can find..." she trailed off, where to start. Records? Files? Not her forte. She was better with the baking, if only there were Jedi in the restaurant business, or in need of a good baker that they could assist.

"I do." Alema was there as she looked at her and stood there with the ship heading out. The jedi master himself though rarely looked at those instead meditating and trying to figure out where he would go. The internal configuration of the bridge adjusted to let him sit crossed legged in the middle and veins of crystal resonated around them. His focus on the force came... massive.... impressive and the jedi master allowed his mind to resonate backwards and then forward with the force expanding out while they were in hyperspace. He could sense they were closer to something.. the prison being able to move brought them to many different areas of the galaxy and he didn't point so much as tilt his head.

"Understood... you are going to want to hold on." The spirit said it as Liber looked with a raised eyebrow at hand holds forming in the wall. The sentient ship making use of it as well as resonating with the lightside of the force when it dropped out of hyperspace and readjusted the direction that they were heading. The jedi master didn't make a move.. his body remaining still and focused on the force as it guided him and the ship in the proper direction. Opening himself up as he didn't limit himself here. His body practically a beacon in the lightside of the force as it glowed under the skin and the he rolled his shoulders with Liber speaking off to the side.

"Oh frak... they weren't kidding were they." She said it and Alema was there next to her... "What do you mean?" The woman seemed to be thinking about it. "He is like a real shadow... old school before the recent ones at least. The ones who were powerful and only chose to hold back because they knew what danger they posed... I mean the jedi master taught about it and explained that restraint was a powerful tool but none of s really believed it. Masters like Dragonsflame loved to flaunt their power or Kiskla or even Je'gan." She was looking at it and turned to look at the viewscreen that was feeding information about where they were headed to.

"He isn't one to mess around...even when I was alive he didn't mess with others who could be a threat but going all out... well he showed what could happen with that when sparring with the lady Domino. Their power and skills were to much for most of the temple." She said it and snickered to herself as the coordinates pointed towards 3-299-11 a world that mattered little and didn't even have a real name. The jedi master was directing them there as they moved through and past several dangers... with Liber holding on and seeing soem fo the repair droids for the ship moving around until the jedi master finished and stood up with a look at the two of them. "There is something dark there on the planet."

Sera Inkari Sera Inkari

With no objections to her request, Sera sat at her choice of console. She began tidying up the surface and any clutter was removed, then anything that looked like it might make clutter, then anything nearby the potential cluster causes. Eventually, a brief epicenter of zealous tidiness had echoed outward from Kintan’s priestess, forming a potentially awkward silence as things were moved around at her station to make it just so.

More tea was being considered but before she could properly ready her cup.

Hold on?

? Sera held tight, feeling the sudden shift, the entire ship, and events guided by Syn. There was a great power there, but like him she was beginning to feel the greatest power was applied use of it, not overzealous counterproductive backlash. Looking over her wrist burn scars, she pulled the sleeve back over them, she'd found him just in time.

Oh frak... they weren't kidding were they.

“We are in agreement.” Adjusting her robes after the brief momentum in the force. Having learned to take certain things Syn said very seriously

Their power and skills were too much for most of the temple

Inkari was laughing again pushing stray strands of hair from her forehead, speaking quietly, “I had encountered a similar response to burning things.” Making light of it, but kicking her heels back in her chair, and admiring the display. Once upon a time, a different Sera had sought out powerful Master’s in order to grow stronger, now one of the stronger had found her, to educate her in the value of self-restraint, self-identity and a moral core. The galaxy was a strange and sometimes wonderful place. Wonderful? She hadn’t even felt that before.

There is something dark there on the planet

A small flicker of fire came from her finger pointed upward and held like a light “Darkness only needs our... a light.” Zealotry still in her words, but her heart was at least in the right place. Wasn’t it? If anyone was looking, she was chewing some all too familiar but slowly sweetening chocolate.

He was surprised a little... they had mostly remained clm and hadn't fallen over so that was a plus. The jedi master rolled his shoulders and moved to one of the walls as he grabbed his lightsabers. The twin blade sliding into clasps on his hips to hang there in front. A different sash over what would have been eyes in someone else. He looked at the two of them and motioned with his head while getting robes that Liber would e able to wear. The service corp uniform was made for others who might need it and the jedi master had different robes for different people. He turned towards Sera Inkari Sera Inkari as the doors opened and the world was full of jagged cliffs and dust.

There wasn't much on the world and Alema was scanning more of it as she spoke. "I am not seeing much in the way of structures... plenty of caves that are large enough but the canyons run deep enough." She continued to scan and sent out drones while he crossed his arms over his chest checkingout something in the distance so he would be able to head out and sense where they needed to go. Sera and Liber able to be ready and follow behind him along one of the cliffs sides that hugged the canyon wall. He didn't move his hands to press close but didn't need to instead standing there and looking down into the canyon as he could scent it on the air. "Sithspawn."

While Syn was getting fresh robes for Liber, Sera was being sure to pack fresh tea and chocolate treats, as well as excessive amounts of water for their journey as always. No sonic shower time let alone clothing time before they were out again, these dusty robes would have to do! “Always moving,“ Sera smiled to Syn, happy to be moving, happy to be focusing on the next journey. There was a sense of life moving through her that was almost uplifting as she healed body and mind.

Readying herself and thinking of Liber again, “don’t forget to pack something to eat,” she reminded the recently released Jedi, pulling a small pantry door open, to give the probably hungry former prisoner their choice at foodstuffs. Our budding soon to be Jedi-chef was keen to keep everyone fed, and she made sure she packed something for Syn too, as Sera liked to make sure he remembered to eat on their journeys.

Alema might comment, but she didn’t want Liber living off dry rations for however long they were here. Not after so long on prison food. Also not exactly gifted in foraging like Taiden might be, she’d try to make a point of seeing if this world had any food she could bring back to replace what she’d offered. Taking a small knapsack for that purpose.

Beside her Master, as the ramp came down the priestess exhaled, slipping on a fresh pair of shoes and socks. The liberation of her feet would have to wait for another day with these jagged rocks and edges. Tying her amber hair back in a ponytail and forgoing the veil this time, more confident in standing with Syn, and importantly within who she was. Ocean blue eyes looked out to the jagged forms ahead, wind brushing by them as they waited for safe contact with the ground, following him out with soft quiet steps.

Sithspawn. "You always bring us to the nicest places," Sera teased happily.

Focusing to try and sense them, but they were faint, too faint for her, wondering if she should farsee ahead of what was to come. Hesitation and doubt were broken by a small tumble of pebbles, she found her footing again but wondered if anything had heard their approach. That hesitation was going to cost her one day, maybe today.

He was listening to Sera Inkari Sera Inkari and turned his head for a moment as they were joined by Liber... there was a lot here on the world and the jedi master was checking out it. "This world... it is ancient. Vaale is here... well what is left of it. The jedi once led a small crusade here because of the dangers the Rings suspended a city in the force and cursed it. The ones who made it corrupting creatures around here to protect their secrets." He didn't move much but he finally motioned grabbing a section of the stone and leaping down as he pulled it and used it to dig into the rocks and create a groove that could be used to climb down the stone side of the canyon.

He was going down and Liber looked at she whistled a little with her robes on. "Ah.. you can go first... I don't think I quite followed how he did that so I will watch you." She was looking as the jedi master as he stood down there and cleared a small area for the to of them to touch down. The sun higher in the air before he started walking again towards one of the cracked areas of the canyon walls. He was moving through it and repulsed with the force to compact the stone and rock making he pathway larger. He looked towards some of the caves as the ship moved up and was scanning sending information to the datapad that was being read to him.

“Impressive Master,” Sera said with some admiration.

Turning to Liber once, “there is only the force.” there was a tease but she half meant it because sometimes... there was a cliff too. Although Sera took the slower way down, she did use the imprint Syn had made in the rocks to better get her footing, every so often glancing below. The thing with living her life around Sith, meant seeing danger wasn’t that scary, and she looked down only briefly.

Then she thought of liber and really made sure that some of these toe holds would take her weight. “we have our path,” she called upward. About half way down the Priestess chose to force jump, landing with some care to the space he had made. Loking up, pulling her robes about herself and smiling lightly to Liber. “Nothing to fear,” she assured Liber. IAir exciting to ignite a small glowing flame in her palm, illuminating the area they found themselves in, and ready for any cave ventures.

“A crusade? The army of light?” Her eyes flickered at the mention, Syn had so many journeys to share. She only hoped she got to hear half of them. Her own senses dedicated themselves to searching for clues in the temperature, variations or things which felt off, heat signatures to perceive. Not questioning their mission or what the Vaale was, dedicated faith in him and their tasks. She would follow by her Master, eyes open and aware, hand outstretched to keep the way lit for any caves. Every so often the Knight would check that Liber was safely behind them, her concern for her fellow Jedi growing. A good sign.

Liber was looking at it and started to climb down as she spoke under her breath. "Not nearly drunk enough." She said it and was looking at everything they had to get down and she was moving down the cliff side using the groove that had been made. She eventually came to the bottom and was looking to follow after them. The jedi master was up ahead and she ran forward staying guided until she looked over at Sera Inkari Sera Inkari when the canyon opened up into a cave outh that was wider and shaped... stone monuments going into it and down deeper into the cave as burned out torches were in scones. "Stay close and be careful... not many can see in the dark."

Sera still hadn’t asked what Vaale was, beginning to recover more of her composure and sense of integrity. Her view that asking too many questions wasn’t proper. All would be revealed as their force wished it. Inside their cave, she wondered if her hand flame would go out, it certainly flickered in the dark. She watched it carefully, hoping it would keep illuminating their descent into the belly of the cavern system.

Not nearly drunk enough… Liber remarked, and Sera idly wondered on the glitterstims she carried herself but said nothing, just raising her eyebrow and tilting her head ever so slightly as if in judgment. Trying to help the Jedi stay on the sober path. Careful not to dislodge any loose stones or pebbles this time, Inkari tried to light the torches that were down here as they past, hoping to have some luck. Unless the unnatural darkness below them was affecting the flame somehow.

Stay close and be careful... not many can see in the dark.

Every so often a small jet of flame would ignite the air forward of them to better light the way and watch for danger. Small amounts of force use at a safe distance, conserving her energy as best she was able. Her choices of footwear for a cavern would never forgive her! Fidgeting with her shoe. Sera wanted to ask, can they see in the dark? But bit her tongue, she would find out soon enough.

The jedi master could feel the two behind him... in the force it was like a screaming siren... meanwhile his senses was able to hear them when he stopped moving a hand to stop Sera Inkari Sera Inkari and Liber who were there. He stayed there looking out and he spoke. "Careful." His voice came out and he was looking forward towards the shadows of the cave. For the two of them no doubt dark and hard to see but he was listening and seeing it within the force as the smallest vibrations came to him. The chittering sounds from creatures who were navigating in the dark itself. The room they were in had other openings and he could sense it within the force.

"There are six other openings in the room, both of you focus your minds and use the force to control your breathing." He was looking at it with a small look on his face. "There are pools of ammonia and rotted corpses from something feeding here." He said it and was more matter of fact while his senses were tracking... he caught the scent between the others things... the sound of claws scraping on the rock.. the skittering of insects that was alerting him to where they were as he moved forward slowly. He went towards the northing passage that sloped up and looked as one hand came out and felt the wall.. listening o the force and the sounds within the cave.

He looked up and motioned for the two to follow while pointing and creating a small glow ball in his fist. He didn't need to see in the dark like they would have needed. He spoke. "It is a shadowfang." The jedi master finally looked at the two of them. "Something older then me eve. From the old sith wars... it sleeps and it eats and corrupts." He started to climb and pressed into the rocks to help pull Liber and Sera up into the crevice for a moment. He was listening and the walls were slick with water that slid down and it curved up higher then wider before wrapping around into another chamber but he moved up lifting until they were se down in a semi open chamber.
