- Reliable: The fact that most of its components are tried and tested, with most of its electronics being of the single-circuit variety adds a sense of reliability to the starfighter.
- Agile fighter: with a more than adequate speed and maneuvrability, this starfighter could be considered a dangerous foe to all standard template fighters in the galaxy.
- It's a numbers game: The balance of this vessel stands in its favor, with an overall well-balanced build, adequate offensive and defensive meassures and a rather easy to pilot and control starfighter, it's greatest strength has to still be its compact, sleek size, which allows for greater squadrons in comparison to its variant siblings.
- No AI, unlike most of the N&Z ship designs, the TIE/MBP does not have a designated AI installed, meaning that unless it would be added, all variations would require manual control of the vessel and thus require some experience with handling at the very least starfighters of similar size.
- No Hyperdrive: these TIE as most of its siblings is bound to either carrier ships or centralized locations, as no hyperdrive means that without ships to carry them, being stranded in empty space with this fighter could be considered more or less a death sentence.
The TIE/Stu relies on the basic modular platform of the TIE/MBP, in order to be designed as a modestly adjusted and strongly attuned interceptor and raider model. As it stands to reason this starfighter model is of a much higher calibre than most of its TIE siblings; not persay by having better offensive or defensive capacity, but because of the combination of having a slightly better defense than most standard TIE in combination with a by design smaller and sleeker profile which allows for easier transport and thus a larger number of fighters per squadron, further pressing the advantage.
It's shape and sleekness do come at a cost though, as due to the change in shape, the production costs soared and thus the production overhead would have gone through the roof if it had not been limited to avoid ballooning expenses. While offensively not as strong as some other starfighters and interceptors produced by the company, with slightly improved defenses and the advantage of larger squadrons, the TIE/stu 'Stürmer' has been designed to raid larger ships and hunt smaller ships, combining a modest armament that allows it to be suited for both tasks in the form of precision-shot AFT-14.4000B FLAK Turrets and high caliber NZ LC-2A Laser Canons combined with eight, single use missile tubes which can host a variety of ordinance that can and will be used against larger vessels.
Consequently, as the solar collector panels are not used for the ship's propulsion, they deliver additional power supply to the weapons and the pilot's lifesupport system, making it so that even with a damaged or depleted reactor, the ship's electronics can still function through the use of the solar connector panels.
