- Ow My Back!: As a dedicated carrier, These Mutate-Class Carriers were built for the specific purpose of providing a wealth of starfighter, and support craft squadrons for fleeting actions, or can also operate as a mobile Security force for the Warlords. Thus, it can transport a mass of troopers, The Sith themselves, to space operations. Secondly, the Carrier Class is sporting an impressive defensive array to provide plenty of time for the Vessel to deploy troops to any situation, before backing off or closing into a front to provide support fire with various defensive systems.
- Exposed Head: Due to being a ship that is a downwards facing triangle shape, the vessel has a rather exposed bridge sitting atop. Open to attacks from other opposing starfighters or capital class ships.
- Sitting Duck: As a Carrier, moving about the battlefield is extremely difficult. Having any kind of change of position takes time and thus relies on the protection of its squadron disposal.
The Mutate-Class Carrier is a pocket carrier built for the specific purpose of forming a wall with multiple others of its class, acting as a blockade. Haivng multiple of these ships set up in a line, and release waves upon waves of fighters, bombers, or other such fleeting actions that can act as a swarm of Spark Bees. Overwhelming a foe, or even enclose this wall upon an opposing force to limit any forms of retreat, and limit movement. Sporting defenses to be able to withstand most if not all that is thrown its way. Below is the first recorded outing of such tactics being employed by Vora Kaar, Dark Sovereign of the Errant Fleet.
Standing aboard the Mutate-Class Carrier, Vora Kaar looked out into the void of space. Watching as various starfighters and support craft performed training drills in which would be utilized in fleeting actions. While the Admiral stood beside him, the captain yelled out commands for others to follow. Making sure that all vessels, squadronds were performing as requested. While they were not firing, or shooting at people, they had to meet specific points in flying around attempting to avoid other starfighters trying to lock on. While the Support craft, drop pods, or troop transports moved down onto the planet to present themselves towards the objective.
"Everything seems to be going smoothly m'lord."
"As it should be."
"Are there any other objectives you wish for them to perform?"
Turning around to face the captain, He stopped mid step to look at the Sith Lord. Dipping his head in a bow and listening.
"Take us to a Shadowport, or a possible force in the Wild Space."
"Sir, what are your plans for-"
"Admiral, you should know that training means little to real combat and fleeting action."
"Yes, however this is the first one we have completed."
"No better time to test it."
The Admiral wide eyed understood but didn't like the idea of sending these troops into battle. He began to open his mouth again.
"Sir, I strongly reco-m-uhk- Ach!"
The Admiral, slowly lifting up into the air, and clearly suffering from a pain in his chest and lungs. Unable to breathe or speak. His posh frame and ironed clothing became wrinkled in his shifting and fighting to breathe and survive. Face changing from a natural skin tone, to red, and purple. Veins popping from his face attempting to fight against the force being held against him. Finally, the Admiral ceased all movement before dropping down to the ground with a loud thump. The ranks of Admiral was then moved over to the Captain. Pinning upon him through the force.
"Congratulations. You have been promoted. Now, O'scion mine, Take us to a port."
"Yes M'lord"
