ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Get Over Here!
    • These ships are technically classified as military grade hauling ships, but this is slightly misleading. Advanced tractor beam systems allow Atla ships to envelop ships in tractor beams, pinning smaller ones down or slowing the movement of larger vessels. The Dominus droid brain handles the aligning of the beams to maximize effectiveness. Groups of Atla can work together to more effectively subdue larger ships
  • 4 Elixir
    • Good defensive systems ensure that Atla can take incoming fire from ships they're trying to pin down. Similarly, their point defense guns keep them safe from fighter swarms, giving them above average defenses for their class
  • Stasis Field
    • Putting combat capabilities aside, the vast number of tractor beams stored in the MTC-20's split bow make them excellent space haulers. The power outputted by these beams in the space directly between the split bow is nearly equivelent to a stasis field -almost useless in combat but very helpful for keeping cargo in one place-
WEAKNESSES
  • Toothless
    • MTC-20s are not equipped to take out the ships they trap. Their only weapons systems are two single barrel turbolasers and their point defense cannons, giving them very low damage output for their class
  • Extrovert
    • MTC-20s require the aid of friendly ships in combat scenarios. They're able to persist on their own for a reasonable amount of time due to their shields and point defenses, but they lose most of their effectiveness if they don't have supporting fire from other ships.
DESCRIPTION

Treatech's design attempt to build a very specialized corvette, MTC-20s fill essentially only two roles. The first is a support ship, where an Atla (or many!) is to pin down specific targets to be obliterated with turbolaser fire focused on an immobile target. The other role is that of a hauling ship. Be it ferrying damaged ships to safety or to a repair yard, or just lugging specific kinds of cargo between its bows. Most fleets that incorporate these ships into them only field one or two, which are used to ferry escape pods or crippled ships to safety using their tractor beams, defensive systems, and respectable speed.
