Accessibility: Unlike its sister, Serin, Molgeth is highly accessible to anyone and sits atop the surface of the planet. It resides as a pit in a sinister-looking bog, constantly emitting an ominous, thick, low-hanging fog. It is not difficult to locate, which seems to draw people to it, should they wander into the effects of its aura.
Description: Once believed to be the only font of power on Yesmireen, Molgeth palpitates with the Dark Side of the Force. Its crude and chilling appearance is a cruel reminder of the horrific terrors the Dark Side of the Force can reign down upon a sleeping galaxy. Everything about the font reeks of evil and malevolence - from its outward appearance to the very taste it puts in your mouth.
Nexus Effects:
More than anything, Molgeth affects a person’s will or desire, infecting them with an infatuation with great power, built on a foundation of rage and passion. It corrupts the spirit gradually, with the effect becoming stronger the longer one remains within its embrace. In all, like its sister Serin, Molgeth plays on the emotions and desires of those who wander into its embrace.
Points of Interest:
- Haunted Cape - An area of land that juts out over the seemingly bottomless pit. This is the area where the effects of Molgeth are felt strongest. Around the minuscule stretch of land, an eerie fog lies ever-present. Sickly, green moss laces itself through the grounds here, giving off a faint sage glow, showing maliciously in low light.
Historical Information:
Molgeth was once revered in a far more powerful light centuries ago. A bastion of strength to those that dabble in the unnatural arts of the Dark Side of the Force, the nexus became somewhat of a sanctuary to the Sith that first immigrated here. But beyond that, it had already been called home by the fiendish Yesmirin species - one of two sentient species native to this world. However, time has withered its strength, and as more people came to draw upon it, its power seemed to seep away.
Thousands of years ago, beyond recorded history, Molgeth and its sister, Serin, were in fact one. Vyxtal. A mammoth Nexus that wavered between light and dark, blanketed the world of Yesmireen with its gentle embrace. Just as the planet with which it was located, Vyxtal itself was volatile and ever-changing in nature. Seemingly going through a constant shift of balance in the Force. At one point, favoring the Light Side of the Force, and at another, swinging toward the Dark Side. With each swing, the mental effects would shift with it. It was as if the Nexus itself had a mental disability - bipolar disorder.
