- Technical Dependence: Despite her Shockboxing skills, she is still fundamentally non-combative. Her greatest vulnerability is the interruption of her thoughts. If she cannot access a system interface, analyze data, or physically defend her head/hands, she loses her primary weapon and becomes a priority target that must be protected by her fellow Handmaidens.
Miyoung was born in the small region between the northern polar region and the main Atrisia continent of Jar'kai.... sunny most of the time from its positioning but not nearly as cold as in the north and she grew up as the daughter of a rich merchant. Going to school where she was considered highly intelligent... so much so she was able to finish most of her primary schooling and move onto the academies and university quickly going through it. She spent more time in school but it was completing subjects, graduating from Atrisian school and larger accredited universities across the galaxy while war continued to rage on. She had an easier life among the students even though usually she was seen as the class pet for asking for more work or finishing it faster then most.
Not only that, but she managed to get nearly a dozen specialized degrees in the galaxy and brought them home to Atrisia itself where she went back home to her father and mother. Staying with them as they were visited by the Atrisian princess. Her father introducing her as his brilliant daughter but her parents were prouder talking about her in how it reflected on them. The princess exploring with her handmaidens would be leaving the next day to investigate the mines nearby and given her talents and skills and knowledge she could aid them. Her parents didn't approve but Junko used her authority to let her go with them and Miyoung got to travel with all of them. Unsure how she would be able to fit in but she soon learned as they explored the mines and were attacked by the Koar.
They were escorted down into Chitai the hollow world below Atrisia and she was enthralled with it. A massive world hundreds of kilometers below their feet. With ancient Atrisians aand their feats of technology that managed to keep it. Meeting their empress who offered to them a guide to the world who would take them but up to the surface. She met Kirano who became the closest friend among the Handmaidens. Given their high opinion of science and technology helped as she leaarned to protect herself just a little but she wouldn't be winning against more then one opponent. Junko led them and they continued onwards and upwards back to the surface of Atrisia where she made a decision. Becoming a haandmaiden to Junko whom welcomed her... the chance that she could bring her mind to aiding the princess as they were rebuilding Atrisia was important.
That came as she was basically given the posityion of chief scientist among Junko';s advisors... often being concealed in her handmaiden robes she could use a flesh kit to disguise herself and sit in for Junko's meeting with other minds and engineers for rebuild parts of Atrisia that she visited. With Miyoung able to offer the needed corrections or advice to make Junko seem smarter then she really was but using the best for the situation was important. She studied more while working with her and when they discovered enough gree records to get a better grasp of their dimension and stellar engineering she was one of the first to come into the field and write papers upon them in measured and controlled Atrisian script just to show how talented she was... humble was not a condition of being a handmaiden after all.
She met several of Junko's suitors and even more ones like Latyuo Shuy and Supisy Blen who were talented transporters. Amalia from Alderaan whom managed to get Junko on a date even before ghosting her and she would not lie that there was a lot more. She found it rather interesting when Junko brought the islander Uzeki as a bodyguard aand Barca well... Barca just liked flirting with every handmaiden, female guard and servant in the palace that she could find. Miyoung continuing to be one of the primary resources for advising Junko as she applied her dimensional engineering knowledge to Atrisian technology and their latest building materials that would be able to replace much across not just Atrisia but all of the worlds in the system and the Commonwealth itself.
THe time has been exceptionally beneficial for her. Miyoung has been able to spend her time with the princess developing dozens of new pieces f technology, improving many aspects of Atrisia and pushing them more and more forward tech wise but also refining their resource development. Making post scarcity not just maintainable but something that will actively replensh and improve itself. With automaated systems to replant and renourish the soils. Larger yields and size for the harvests, advances in the cloning to improve the livestock. It would continue to push it forward as the Commonwealth worlds would be able to store enough supplies for years at a time and as the years would go on they would build up their reserves.
