::Continue towards the Palace Landing Pad Master Jedi. No orders have changed regarding the Republic Delegation. Welcome to Alderaan.::
Cambria brought the Azure Star's shuttle carrying the Republic's delegation into the landing pad just as instructed, touching down with the softest of thuds on the transport's repulser lifts. The weapon systems and shields had been powered down for the short journey down from orbit to ground so as not to add any more ire or mistrust of the 'new' Republic by the Alderaanians than already achieved by the earlier unfortunate move by one of their own, [member="Commander Firestorm"], upon his arrival in system. Though hopefully now all was better and the meeting could go forth without further distractions or incidents as everything rested on a sharp razor's edge at the moment. It was imperative that a deal or rather an alliance be negotiated with the Royal House of Alderaan for the sake of the fledgling new faction.

As the small group debarked down the boarding ramp to meet up with their escort, the blue-skinned Jedi Knight sent a wave of calm and encouragement through the Force to her fellow delegates, hoping that it would help relax and focus all who came to put the best face of the Republic forward to Crown Princess [member="Faith Organa"] and her consort, Commander [member="Draco Vereen"], whom they would be meeting with this day.

Republic and Alderaan Delegation

As it were as Captain of the guards Ja'rrod was ever more the dutifully in performing his duties. Having personally made sure of ever aspect of their travel here. That is up to now where given orders to secure the ship back instead of seeing the meeting thru. The newly returned standing count Andulf had wanted some private time to close the end of the deal.

Which somewhat something he'd didn't agree on but follow thru with the orders just same. That when thru his stationed listeners he'd pick up on the chatter. Of seem unidentified ship possibly republic in nature were coming in. Which got his attention knowing the somewhat tumotious recent history that been. Between the Republic and Alderaan having lived and fought in defense of their homeworld. Which the Count Andulf had not.

So as he monitor the situation and view thing as they transpired before them turned. Informing the Count Andulf of it who then relay his intent be there for the meet. Which he complied and stood wait by the royal hanger for him. Where royal guards stood and created a perimete. Control the security and extending the royal orders of diplomatic stance ....At the moment.

Many thoughts were on Nicolas's mind as the shuttle's ramp descended and touched the surface of the Palace's landing pad. Alderaan had always been one of the centers of the Republic. The Organa household, especially, had always given so much for the Republic. There was a point when the entire planet had paid the ultimate price for the sake of the Republic. Nicolas was glad that the planet had been brought back, though he hadn't ever really tried to figure out how. That Alderaan, since being brought back, had seemed to become the whipping boy of the Republic had never sat well with him. He had taken the job of the Jedi seriously, determined not to make the mistakes that so many Jedi had made before, in serving only the Republic instead of the Galaxy. That had made him absent for so many of the Republic's crimes, both against Alderaan, and against its own people.

There were nights when the what ifs still broke through his concentration. What if he had been there, at Roche? Would he have been able to stop Hadrix from spacing civilians? What if he had been closer to Lasedri, while she was in office? Would he have been able to spot her darkness fast enough to save the Republic then? What if he had been more active in the Republic during Suravi's tenure? Would he have been able to wrest control away and bring the Republic back into the light?

Those What Ifs had brought him here. He could no longer claim the job duties of a Jedi Knight while the Republic burnt itself again and again. It was why he had taken charge and evacuated all who considered themselves Republic citizens from Denon, and a handful of other worlds. It was why he constituted the Republic in Exile, a flotilla of various starships looking for a new home.

It was why he was here, setting foot on the soil of Alderaan as a leader of the Republic. He had been a Jedi his entire life, but he had never been as apprehensive about his duty as he was about leading the Republic.

Nevertheless, he led the Republic Delegation off of the shuttle, and smiled at Ana as they approached. He offered a shallow bow and his hand to the handmaiden.

"I presume you are Ana. Thank you for meeting us out here." He and Ana exchanged pleasantries, then moved into the palace. Inside the palace, they came across [member="commander firestorm"], and Nicolas motioned for him to join the delegation as they continued to the throne room. Ana and the Royal Guards halted them just outside while Ana went in to announce their arrival. Once announced, Nicolas and the delegation stepped into the grand chamber. Nicolas walked to a point roughly halfway into the room, then stopped and bowed low to [member="Faith Organa"], then to [member="Draco Vereen"].

"Your Highness, thank you for agreeing to this meeting." He began, then took a deep breath and looked Faith in the eye. "Before we begin, I need to apologize for the ordeal that happened in orbit. It was not the intention of the Republic to have a Star Destroyer make orbit. I take full responsibility for the miscommunication, and I hope it will not hamper our discussions on this trip." He was thankful for [member="Cambria Zadira"]'s benevolent aura, as it helped keep him on track. He did his best to exude his normal calm confidence. However, this was a new role for him, in a relatively new arena.

Firestorm followed the delegation, when Thorne apologized for the Star Destroyer incident, he spoke up, "I too apologize for the incident, I'm not really up to date on this era's starship policies, nor am I really the best pilot, I just hope I didn't complicate things too much." He kept his helmet off and under his left arm as he said this, allowing them to see his face as he apologized. The Jango Fett clone had a look of worry and understanding of how his actions may have jeopardized the whole mission. "I just hope we can put it behind us for now and focus on the meeting without any more incidents."

She was to the left and back one behind the Jedi. She kept pace keeping three to four paces before the person In front of her. Rashae bowed gracefully with the other delegates in succession and precision as was proper for the Royal family of Alderaan. The doctor stood straight and maintained a professional air about her.

There was something to the ability to tune certain things out, such as mediocrity and mass stupidity. Perhaps it was a skill acquired from her mother or something picked up through attrition. Honestly she hadn't expected to speak at all but only there as a representative of the medical corp for the Republic. Actually she probably could stand for research and development as well, now that she thought about it. Maybe not. The raven haired physician didn't know when she was going to get behind a lab again.

Those ice blue eyes caught the fact that the Crowned Princess was wearing classic Alderaanean royal attire. How fitting and lovely. It flattered her well. The prince consort she did not know well, but his position was clear. Rashae's complexion and hair was a striking and stunning contrast against her white medical uniform. The Princess of Alderaan was radiant in white. The medical professional had the good sense to not say a word.

Alderaan.

How dare they. How dare they all. He stood in the mirror, adjusting his uniform. He wore his dress uniform. Enamored with memory, he checked the placement of his ribbons. The straightness of his medals. The spacing, if it was proper with a ruler. He made sure there were no wrinkles. He admired the campaign ribbons, the medals for valor- but most of all, the insignia on his left arm, sewn on to his finely-kept uniform. Sergeant Rohn, Havoc Squad. Havoc Squad. What a time. What a time in his life. How he missed it. And how dare these so-called-Republic people hold a committee on a planet that he had once gotten on a fight on, without him. He exited the hotel, turning heads where he went. It had been a long time since they had seen a Republic soldier dressed to the nines. For some, ever. Because there was no Republic anymore. There was no Havoc Squad, there was only hope.

He reached the palace with little fanfare, arriving in a taxi. Guards asked for his credentials. He just looked at his uniform.

They let him pass.

He walked solemnly along. The Commando was on a mission. Lord helped whoever he wanted to hurt today.

"We're not leaving the shuttle." The sarge suddenly declared as neutrally as possible but even through the comlink system CC-1147 could make out that wasn't happy. The ramp had opened to reveal the pleasant environment and architecture of Alderaan and now they wouldn't at least enjoy that. The delegation had already left the shuttle leaving the troopers behind.

"You. Have. Got. To be kidding me, SARGE!" Traz, the voice of complaints for the squad, could not keep his tone down over the com and the clone felt as if his ear drums would explode. This time the whole squad, except for CC-1147, turned into a group of whining men and women.

"Silence! Soldiers!" The sergeant retorted back over the comm regaining the authority as the loud complaints turned into whispers. "Orders are orders and we are made to follow them." The same words were often used by clone commanders, CC-1147 remembered. If anything, the sergeant had the closest mindset to CC's own brothers. "Apparently there's been some...diplomatically threatening actions, so our presence in the palace of Alderaan is not really wanted.

"Damn politicians. This calls for some sabacc." Harjo, the verpine of their squad, accepted the fact that no complaints would change their situation. "Traz, shut it and let me rob your creds."

"We'll see about that, you fool." The gotal replied back obviously enthusiastic to play some sabacc.

CC-1147, on the other hand, simply sat back again in his corner and patiently waited. He had nothing much to do but daydream.

Daydream of times long past.

Mensa walked in the rear with the delegation, silent and ever attentive. He never considered himself a diplomat, but if diplomacy halted war than it truly was the Jedi way - it was just that Mensa knew he was not good at it. He was soldier. He would bring peace through his saber if needed. Never had he felt more out of place than on Alderaan.

It wasn't that he did not enjoy the view. Picking up the pieces left scattered across the galaxy, he had seen some very lonesome places. Alderaan was not one of them. Everything about it was...alien. The look. The view. What was right and wrong was completely foreign.

He took a deep breath and focused, "I am with the Force and the Force is with me."

It was then once he'd reach the location just outside of the palace landing pad that Ja'rrod met him. And that at best he could debrief him of what he knew thus far which sort caught his attention. As his reports somehow corroborated with much what he'd read in the summons from the place. Which came he figured due to the work and project he'd been working of late for the royal family.

Which he figured was issues he had to deal with and put off on the side for now. As at that time being that his duty as Count of one the house of Alderaan rather than the businessman that he was for his family came first. Thought he had personal misgivings about the whole thing he was no less will see things thru by her highness side as their family had his. As he figured there been enough bloodshed and loss due to the past events during his absence. That he'd rather that this time around issues could be dealt in a rather civilized manner rather than on the end of blasters.

At which time once his credential had passed and he along with Ja'rrod had been ushered into the landing pad. Walking to then stand a few feet behind her royal highness alongside her other advisor and delegation of Alderaan. Which standing there made him look somewhat out of place being younger than most that were there. Dressed in a seem simple suit with nothing but a solitary emblem brooch of their family crest on his chest. As if anything else Andi was never one like his peers of his age from the other household. Having his head buried deep into books and studies rather than anything else. He didn't have much in terms of medals or commendations of war. But it was not said he could be view as weak or such but then again it was if anything one the few secrets he'd kept.

He would then as he stood on the sideline would passingly glance over at Ja'rrod who he'd spoke briefly to. As he then made sure he was kept abreast of everything transpire thus far at the same time keep a keen watch over his safety. As from across the platform, he could no less see as he peered ahead. The mix delegation which came to their steps and planet....a ragtag mix at best.

The throne room was filling with guests as well as the nobles of Alderaan. Faith caught the glimpse of Draco by her side as she sat on the chair beside the throne, the Queen absent from these discussions, Faith was her representative.

Apologies were given not once but twice. She nodded her acceptance of these and gave them her small royal smile. The one she had been practicing since she was 12 years old. There were so many of them from the Republic.

"Welcome to Alderaan, and New Aldera City, you are all welcome here." For right now which she did not add. "I can appreciate your apology and accept it as misunderstanding." Yes misunderstanding but was that the way they went to every world, some would not be so forgiving and some would have requested their immediate departure but Faith was curious about this new Republic. Who were they? What was their purpose? And what did they want from Alderaan.

"I would greatly appreciate knowing the names of everyone who is in attendance for this meeting. I for instance am the Crown Princess Faith, of House Organa, and of Clan Vereen. This is my husband and prince Consort, [member="Draco Vereen"]" Names had been requested but so far Ana had not said she received them, perhaps the Republic had been too busy deciding the exact position they wanted their ship over her home to send one. She smiled again, a bit broaded with her thoughts giving her some entertainment.

Faith wanted to live up to the image of Princess Leia, strong, quick witted, always thinking, determined, and from all accounts an excellent Senator and Diplomat. She hoped to be half as good, she called upon her skills as a Senator when she spent most of her time listening.

Commander Firestorm

ARC Trooper Out of Time, Commander of the Unbroken
"My name is Commander Firestorm, former commander of the 608th clone battalion, but you may just call me Firestorm if you like." He gave a quick salute after introducing himself. "It is a pleasure to meet you both, your majesties." He gave a warm and sincere smile as he said this. He had a high level of respect for politicians and royalty, as he understood they had large responsibilities for their worlds.

[member="Faith Organa"]

Nicolas could feel anger and hate roll off of the soldier who had just entered. It had actually stopped him from speaking when he had opened his mouth to introduce himself.

His mouth closed into a line, a forced smile on his face. He turned to [member="Kaiden Rohn"] and merely blinked at him. He looked at the man's uniform and smiled a wintry smile.

"Sergeant, you will remain silent or return to your ship if you can't keep a civil tongue in your mouth." He spoke softly, but there was danger in his tone that Brookes no comment. He was considering the old Republics lack of a standing army as being wise now.

He then turned back to their Highnesses [member="Faith Organa"] and [member="Draco Vereen"] and took a deep breath. "I am Nicolas Thorne, Jedi Knight and Chancellor Pro-Tem of the Galactic Republic." He introduced himself and silently debated on whether he wanted the Sergeant to test him or remain silent

Two troopers who didn't seem very excited about the circumstances, and a Jedi Knight acting as Supreme Chancellor, a throw back to the old days of the Republic, even before the Ruusan Reformations. Interesting choices. The Jedi and Jedi Twi'lek girl were also noticeable but hadn't introduced themselves. The Royal Guards hadn't allowed any of the delegation in with weapons of any sort, but even still the Knights between the delegation and the royals didn't seem lax in their duties.

It was difficult for Draco not to come off the dais and lay into the diplomatic group just from them being there, but he held back. Only smirking at the trooper in his dress blues. Alderaan didn't know what this delegation wanted, didn't know why they were here. The planet had seceded from the Republic when it had faltered to openly supporting war criminals that orchastrated attacks on civilian targets through Senate budget appropriations made directly to someone they had known would provoke the Mandalorian Crusade. And when it had come calling, that same oligarchy had cried foul play and used civilians as shields for their military.

Draco didn't need to introduce himself, Faith had already done that and he had so few titles these days. He was Prince Consort and Knight-Defender of Alderaan, not there to make decisions. "I believe its called holding a meeting, Sergeant. What Alderaan wants to know is why the Republic has asked for this diplomatic gathering and has thus far been so hostile and rude towards your hosts, who very mercifully agreed to this meeting?"

"Supreme Chancellor. Perhaps you could answer that question."

Right before the former Republic soldier spoke with ill-will rolling off his aura, the Rutian Twi'lek was able to slip her name in and announce who she was. "I am Knight Cambria Zadira, your majesties," she offered respectfully to [member="Faith Organa"] and [member="Draco Vereen"] with a deep bow at the waist and an eloquent swish of her right lekku across the front of her Jedi robes.

Impatience for the lack of discipline amongst their group was beginning to grow within the Twi'lek Jedi, though she quickly dispelled the darker emotion into the Force and replaced it with a peaceful feeling of hope for a positive outcome. Did these individuals not realize how important a meeting this was for the fledgling faction... or did they think it a joke?

Cambria had come with the purposeful intent to help her fellow Jedi Knight [member="Nicolas Thorne"] forge an alliance with the Royal House of Alderaan for the new Galactic Republic and the people who had sought protection under their banner since fleeing Denon. Other's though she feared had not and thus the blue-skinned Guardian would be watching with an ever mindful eye ready to step in if need arises to keep the peace and the integrity of this day. It did not need to be this way if one just used a little common sense and etiquette in both speech and manners.

Rashae wanted to scream and go back to the ship in frustrated anger. The Doctor stood straight and kept focus on the Royal assemblage before them. Amongst the disorderly array of random persons speaking, the diplomatic delegation provided their identity as was Requested by the Princess so graciously. The raven haired physician could only imagine what the royal court was thinking by now. She felt a certain doom upon these proceedings, but that might just be her pessimism.

Once Knight Cambria had introduced herself simply and succinctly, the doctor crisply with the sharp step of her boot upon the polished marble floor came forward. She bowed again to the royal court before speaking.

“Warmest greetings, your royal Highness and your Lordship Prince Consort. I am Doctor Rashae Lovous, Medical doctor and Research scientist. Might I add that Classic Royal Alderaanean Attire is most becoming as you do the Classic most justice in radiance and grace. Your Lordship, the Mandalorians are known to protect kith and kin to which is proudly displayed and speaks well of the honor of kith and kin. May these proceedings be blessed with both grace and honor.“ The Doctor bowed towards the royal court once more in completion.

The same staccato and smart step was an about face and paced back to where she was standing before. She was not trained in diplomacy but perhaps someone would have figured out that they had a native Alderaanean amongst the delegation. Rashae neither condemned nor did she applaud. The words perhaps could create a level of sorts for people to build off of. Seriously why didn't they have a diplomat amongst them? Alderaanean court was not difficult or complicated but there was a certain amount of propriety after all, if nothing more than polite courtesy.

[member="John Ash"] [member="Nicolas Thorne"] [member="Mensa Dak"] [member="Ja’rrod Categaern"] [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] [member="CC-1147"] [member="Commander Firestorm"] [member="Valkren Calderon"] [member="Faith Organa"] [member="Draco Vereen"]

[member="Nicolas Thorne"] got a glare. [member="Draco Vereen"] got a side eye. Not a glare, but just a glance. He rolled his shoulders back, and fixed his uniform.

"Do you all see what I am wearing?"He pointed to his medals."What I wear on my chest?"He said, glancing to each individual in the room. He never lingered on any one person. He was speaking to all of them."Before any of you answer, before you check which campaigns I was apart of- let me tell you- they mean nothing now. These medals, this uniform, means nothing."He glared hatefully at [member="Cambria Zadira"].

And he pointed right at her and Thorne.

"Because the Republic died. The dream, the idea of the Republic died. It died when it faltered on it's values, on it's promises. The dream of the Republic is dead. What you are attempting to recreate, what you are attempting to build again-"He became overly emotional, for the smallest of moments."Is an insult to the very men and women who died, not only under my leadership, but for the Republic. I have accepted that I will no longer wear this uniform, other than to remind myself of what we have lost."He rubbed tears from his eyes. For those touched by the force and able to influence it, he was suppressing a deep sense of grief, loss, and anger.

"The Republic is dead and you insult everyone who died for it by trying to revive it here. House Organa, I urge you, not as Sergeant Rohn, Doc, Papa, or any of the other names, aliases that I have gone across- but as Kaiden Rohn, a man betrayed-"His eyes flicked to the Jedi."That you do not support this Republic. The Republic died because it deserved to. The Republic died because it was corrupt. The hopes, dreams, and desires of those who died for it are gone. Do not let them be insulted further by letting them tarnish their memory."

It was then that once he'd met up with the Count that he did his best to debrief him as best he could. Thought all the while he no less could sense the tension in him which was understandable. Being that he had to at best step into quite some big shoes which needed be filled. As the only male heir of the family, he would assume it be quite a heavy burden say the least on top that. He'd had assumed the post at such short time. But then again that was talk for another time as for now.
Attending to this new turn of events regarding Alderaan and the newly arrived Republic Delegation. Was an issue need be addressed...in which with the two being waved into the place main chamber. Were as far he could see the bulk of the delegation were gathered.

" welcome to Alderaan, and New Aldera City, you are all welcome here."

As she then seems paused and continue on speaking.

"I can appreciate your apology and accept it as a misunderstanding."

To which he could only silently scoff at the idea as the thought crossed his mind. Having personally stand witness to the earlier conflict that concluded in Alderaan secession from the former Republic. It was personally for him an unwelcome sight has them here but then again. By his loyalty to the crown and house, he'd swore to personally serve. He thought it best to set this thought aside and listen. Standing at attention beside his Count side. Dressed in his more subtle uniform at the counts request than his usual full regalia. Which was in his mind suited for a more formal meet in the palace as this.

"I would greatly appreciate knowing the names of everyone who is in attendance at this meeting. I, for instance, am the Crown Princess Faith, of House Organa, and of Clan Vereen. This is my husband and prince Consort, Draco Vereen"

But then again all the while keeping his tongue in check and keep to the decorum of the meet. Try not let his emotion dictate his action and be mindful keep the honor as well the dignity. Of his planet sovereign and house in mind above his own. And instead keep his ears peels take in the Republic Deligation name along with whatever they were in the scheme of thing. Which he figured be helpful in the long run. In knowing who they were faced with. When everything seems been going well a lone soldier in the Republic rank could not keep it in. Seem to speak out of place in his opinion. Which he would take as an insult but was held back in reacting to. By both his adherence to their sovereign Prince Faith wishes and his Count whom. Standing close to him had no less glance over to him and with a notion ask that he not to. Obeying and keep to his duty he stood side while his Count soon spoke.

It was then that all the while from the time they arrived at the landing pad till they reached the palace proper where the delegation met. That he kept silent. Listening intently as best he could as impartial and with a level head thru out. Between listening to Captain Ja'rrod of their house guard keep him up to date.
Once in the throne room that he couldn't help feel slight uneasiness. Nothing much of anything other than his nerves getting at him as for once. It seems he was truly standing in to represent not only his family but their house in a seeming meeting of great importance. On his own without either his father nor late brother -in-law by him. All of his own, he had to but give slight nervous deep breath. As the proceeding began by the opening word of the Princess Faith to their guess. That was soon followed by her addressing no only their guest but those present. Opening the proceeding by letting those present to introduce themselves. Which seem to go well for the moment and as a doctor by her introduction spoke he in good faith replied.
8
" I am Count Andulf Nicholas of House Terran...."

His words then cut short when from the crowdSeem overwhelmed by some deep-rooted memory spoke his sentiment freely. Cause a great hush among those present at which time....

Mensa stared silently at [member="Kaiden Rohn"]. He spoke from the heart yet maybe spoke out of turn. He looked at the medals. He saw the tear. He tried to place merit of the armor he was wearing. This was definitely out of his territory.

He approached [member="Nicolas Thorne"], "Would you like me to escort Sargent Rohn away...from these talks?"

He tried to whisper but the vicinity of Sargent Rohn to Thorne was not very far at all. He probably heard what Mensa said, but Mensa only sought serenity in any situation.
