DESCRIPTION

Since the release of the first card set for Age of Chaos and the two structure decks tied into the initial set, Galactic Illusionary Gaming had been brainstorming and beginning to put together what the company wanted to create for their second full set. That is, until the destruction of the planet Csilla in the Chiss Ascendancy roiled the galaxy and ushered in a new era for the galaxy. The company, wanting to commemorate those that had been lost and preserve information about both sides in the massive battle, immediately began gathering as much data and stories as they could about the event to create a special event set.

Two new card types were introduced in this new set, called Maw of Annihilation, with those being the new Superweapon and Saga cards to detail the events that surrounded the Mercy superweapon. In addition to the new card types, several new archetypes were introduced for the existing card types, the most prominent being the inclusion of the new Super Star Destroyer Starship Vehicle cards.

The company decided that half of all sales for this set would be sent to surviving enclaves of Chiss as they recovered from the destruction visited upon their homeworld.
