PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
There are big men.
There are huge men.
There are the jacked-up, unstoppable forces you only hear about in stories.
And then there's Caltin Vanagor.
Standing at 6'10", he's not just tall — he's immense, a wall of muscle and presence forged by a lifetime of relentless training. From the last days on Coruscant to the icy silence of Wild Space, Caltin has made physical discipline an extension of who he is.
- At first, it was survival — the boy tired of being picked on.
- Then, it was advantage — staying one step ahead of enemies in a galaxy at war.
- Now, it's simply part of him — silent, intense, necessary.
... maybe. ;-)
Across his scarred arms are the tribal tattoos of a Wookiee clan that once adopted him — a mark of bonds stronger than words or blood. His body bears the stories of a thousand battles, a living testament to survival, duty, and honor.
Force Connection:
Caltin was always a physical Jedi, channeling the Force through his body as naturally as breathing.
The Jedi Code teaches:
"A Jedi's strength flows from the Force."
For most, this strength must be consciously summoned, channeled into their will to leap higher, strike harder, heal faster. It depends on how clearly they can hear the Force singing through them.
Caltin was no different — once.
The Wellspring and the Change
When grievously wounded, Vanagor journeyed to the Wellspring of Life, seeking healing. What occurred there was beyond explanation — his mind and body were "stored off-site," repaired at a fundamental level.
The cost? His traditional connection to the Force was severed.
- He did not "channel" the Force anymore.
- He did not "call upon" it.
- He simply acted. Ran, struck, healed — without thought, without strain.
Death and Restoration
This new existence continued until the cannons of a Mandalorian Neo-Crusader Dreadnought under Command of "Mandalore the Anointed" @Carduul Akahl finally did the impossible — they killed him.
Or so it seemed.
In death, Caltin crossed into the Ether and touched the spiritual heart of the Force itself.
When he returned, something profound had changed again:
- His original connection to the Force — the true connection of his youth — was restored.
- His body, once altered, now felt younger, sharper, focused.
- He was no longer an anomaly. He was whole.
Clarity. Focus. The will of a Guardian reborn.
Today, Caltin Vanagor is the Jedi he once was — but tempered by survival, sorrow, and an unshakable sense of honor.
"The galaxy doesn't need heroes. It needs protectors willing to stand when others run."

"The first time I met him, he said five words to me: 'Show me you're worth it.' I thought he hated me. Turned out he was the only one who never lied to me. Saved my life twice before I even realized he cared."

I can’t explain it. Caltin himself can.
"What drives me? Justice."
My path was forged in blood and loss — the night my parents were taken from me before my eyes. That night, fear, grief, and the cruel fragility of life burned themselves into my soul. It was then I made a vow:
No one else would feel what I felt. Not if I could stop it.
Since then, every breath I've taken has been a promise to the broken and the afraid. I stand against the darkness — no matter where it hides: among those who boast of their evil, or those who cloak it in lies.
The galaxy drowns in fear.
If we as Jedi do not stand against it, who will?
I am a shield between the innocent and the corrupt.
I am the nightmare that haunts those who prey upon the weak.
Call me grumpy. Call me angry. Call me mad.
I don't care.
I don't do this for you.
I fight so that no child, no family, no soul, ever again feels the helplessness I once knew.
Vengeance is not enough. Fear is not enough. Only justice.
When it comes to right and wrong, I know the truth — it is not simple. It is not clean. The galaxy lives in shades of gray, but my compass does not waver:
- Protect the defenseless.
- Hold the corrupt accountable.
- Choose the harder path when no easy answer exists.
I do not follow a code blindly — I follow understanding, consequences, and responsibility. Even if it means breaking laws twisted to serve power. Even if it means standing alone.
I don't care if you are Sith, Dark Jedi, Fallen, Rogue, or even a Jedi hiding behind bureaucracy.
Injustice is injustice — no matter what robes you wear or what title you claim.
I could have walked away.
I could have lived a comfortable life, let the galaxy burn while I counted credits.
I chose differently.
I built something greater — not just warships, but hope:
Outreach centers, education programs, jobs for those overlooked and forgotten.
Not "handouts," but hand-ups.
A chance to rise.
My mission isn't vengeance.
It's not about punishing the guilty for punishment's sake.
It's about inspiring hope in those who have none, and striking fear into the hearts of those who would steal it.
I am not a symbol.
I am not a weapon.
I am not a story to scare children.
I am the force that stands between the weak and the night.
Because at the end of every day, when I face myself in the mirror, I have to know — without question — that I stayed true.
I forgot that once.
I remember now.
"The darkness will not pass while I stand. Not today. Not ever."
When I was a youngling, Master Vanagor sat me down after failing a test. I was afraid, afraid I couldn't do it.
He told me something I will never forget:
"When I was young, I thought strength was about winning fights.
I thought justice was something you could beat into the galaxy.
I was wrong.
Strength is standing when it would be easier to fall.
Justice is remembering the people who can't stand with you — and standing anyway.
I fight because someone must.
I protect because I remember what it feels like to have no one.
That's the promise I made.
And I mean to keep it... every day I draw breath."

Core Traits:
- Stoic: Caltin speaks rarely, but when he does, his words carry the weight of experience and principle.
- Gravely Protective: He guards those around him — not from personal attachment, but from a deep, ironclad belief in his role as a shield for the innocent.
- Grumpy (at first): Gruff, blunt, and intimidating — until you earn his respect. Then he becomes a loyal and relentless advocate for your growth and survival.
- Immovable in Honor: "Honor above all" — Caltin would sooner lay down his life than betray his moral compass. He never lies to himself or others, and expects the same from those he trusts.
- Justice over Vengeance: Like a mountain weathering storms, he believes justice is patient, principled, and righteous — vengeance is emotional, selfish, and ultimately hollow.
- Independent Spirit: Caltin respects councils and orders only when they are worthy of that respect. He obeys principles, not politics.
- The Force is life itself — not to be controlled, not to be wielded like a weapon, but honored and harmonized with.
- Where others see "light" and "dark," Caltin sees discipline and abandonment. To him, staying in the Light is a matter of constant vigilance and internal honesty.
- Relies on overwhelming strength, precision strikes, and an almost unbreakable endurance.
- Favors a single, massive permafrost-bladed long-hilt lightsaber, wielded with both technique and brutal economy of movement.
- His presence on the battlefield is like a juggernaut — slow at first, then utterly unstoppable.
"The galaxy doesn't need heroes. It needs protectors willing to stand when others run."

STRENGTHS
Jedi Master Caltin Vanagor is a man of unwavering dedication and commitment to the ways of what is right, and like it or not, that does not always mean the Jedi. He is one, he will always be one, but that does not mean he followed blindly. He believes in, and teaches to "be able to look at the person in the mirror". He will never mince words, and while his chosen adjectives are "stoic" and "annoyed", if you are able to have a conversation with him, you will realize the facade.
He does not "hate" anything other than "disrespect". The "disrespect" of the Sith to the planet Tython, for one. The "disrespect" of seeking to hold power and control over others. The "disrespect" of those who would seek to simply "advance" and not "understand" what they are learning.
"Respect isn't a gift. It's a blade you forge in the fires of action. Show me who you are."
-Caltin Vanagor on Trust
-Caltin Vanagor on Trust
With his sharp mind, unwavering resolve, and mastery of the Force, Master Vanagor is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. His dedication to the Jedi Code and his unwavering commitment to fighting against the Sith make him a formidable opponent and a true hero of the galaxy.
"You don't assign General Vanagor to a mission. You point him like a warhead and pray you're not on the wrong side."

- ▲ Supportive - Caltin is a universal helper, sharing his knowledge, experience, time, and energy with anyone who needs it, and all the more so with friends and family. People with this personality type strive for win-win situations, choosing empathy over judgment whenever possible.
▲ Reliable and Patient - Rather than offering sporadic, excited rushes that leave things half-finished, Caltin is meticulous and careful, taking a steady approach and bending with the needs of the situation just enough to accomplish his end goals. He will not only ensure that things are done to the highest standard but often go well beyond what is required.
▲Imaginative and Observant - Caltin is very imaginative, and uses this quality as an accessory to empathy, observing others' emotional states and seeing things from their perspective. With his feet firmly planted on the ground, it is a very practical imagination, though he does find things quite fascinating and inspiring.
▲Relentless
When the goal is right, Caltin takes all this support, reliability, and imagination and applies it to something they believe will make a difference in people's lives – whether fighting poverty with a global initiative or simply making a customer's day, and doesn't stop. He doesn't stop until the goal is reached.
▲Loyal and Hard Working - Given a little time, this enthusiasm grows into loyalty – Caltin often forms an emotional attachment to the ideas and organizations to which he's dedicated himself to. Anything short of meeting their obligations with good, hard work fails his own expectations.
▲ Good Practical Skills - The best part is, Caltin has the practical sense to actually do something with all this altruism. If mundane, routine tasks are what need to be done, Caltin can always seem to see the beauty and harmony that is often created, because he knows that it helps him to care for his friends, family, and anyone else who needs it.
▲ Guardian – He is a believer in peace, but Caltin's previous life was a living you know what. He was touched by darkness and while this would be a detriment to others, he used it to the best of his ability. Means he will try to talk you out of a fight, but he will be throwing hands, and lightsabers while doing it.
▲ Role Model - He may not be a stereotypical Jedi, but he believes in the old school approach and welcomes anyone wanting and willing to make a better life for themselves. He was always considered "intimidating"(still is) and "standoffish" in the past and in truth it bothers him. So while the big guy always tries to set the right example, he works more towards being "approachable."
▲ "Every Jedi should be good at something." - While he made an effort to learn all that a Jedi education had to offer, Caltin was, other than combat, only truly exceptional at piloting and mechanics. This was of course what he took to as a nice hobby.
▲Presence - If he does not know you, or you are a potential threat to him, those around him, or as a whole, Caltin gives off a presence as significant as his stature. It is not necessarily a Jedi technique but he takes pride in it because combining this with his experience and wisdom as a Jedi Master tends to end more fights before they begin.
▲Touched by Darkness
Caltin's life before he was a Jedi was one personal hell after another, he very nearly succumbed to his rage and slaughtered a room full of Hutt cronies. It was seeing a little girl who used to wave to him every day cower in fear to remind him of the promise he made to his father. "Always do the right thing." This has given the big guy an insight that he has used to his advantage against those who fall and never wish to rise.
▲Quick Study/Always Prepared -If given the time, say on the trip to a mission, Caltin will always search and read up on the destination, culture, and people. This helps when in diplomatic situations and detecting liars.
▲ Can fly anything - His early life on the run and as a vigilante forced the big guy to learn a lot about the systems from fighters (to which he can no longer fit in) to shuttles, to freighters to even capital ships (never flown one before, but how hard could it be?).
Caltin is and will always be somewhat of a vigilante . He is quickly known in dark circles for his dark and brooding demeanor, as well as his impressive physical abilities and intellect.
Despite his many strengths, Caltin also has several weaknesses. One of his biggest weaknesses is his tendency to work alone and keep his emotions bottled up. This can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, as well as difficulty forming close relationships with others. Additionally, Caltin's intense focus on his mission can sometimes blind him to the needs and perspectives of those around him, causing him to act impulsively or make mistakes in judgment. Finally, Caltin's reliance on his physical prowess can sometimes make him vulnerable to attack.
▼ Repress Feelings - People with the Defender personality type are private and very sensitive, internalizing their feelings a great deal. Much in the way that Caltin protects others' feelings, he must protect his own, and this lack of healthy emotional expression can lead to a lot of stress and frustration.
▼ Often Overloaded - Caltin's strong senses of duty and perfectionism combine with this aversion to the emotional conflict to create a situation where it is far too easy to overload himself – or to be overloaded by others – as he struggles silently to meet everyone's expectations, especially he own.
▼ Reluctant to Change - These challenges can be particularly hard to address since Caltin values traditions and history highly in his decisions. A situation sometimes needs to reach a breaking point before he will be persuaded by circumstance, or the strong personality of a loved one, to alter course.
▼ Too Altruistic - This is all compounded and reinforced by Caltin's otherwise wonderful quality of altruism. Being such a warm, good-natured person, Caltin is often willing to let things slide, to believe that things will get better soon, to not burden others by accepting their offers of help, while his troubles mount unassisted.
▼ Misunderstood - He was often considered "grumpy" and "brooding", this is something that has often caused him to dwell on his issues and even more stress. The more he tries to change, the less he does.
▼ Overprotective - You will not get past him and threaten those he cares about the most, this is known. He teaches his students as much as possible to prepare them for the worst, but for some reason is reticent to allow them to act without his oversight. It is difficult for the big guy to let his "little ones" grow and mature. Just look at @Ala, she can't show her skills because he is always there.
▼ Ticking Time bomb - From his early life to the constant battles, to the losses in his personal life, to over eight hundred years on the ice there is a rage building in him. It will boil over, the question is when.
HISTORY
At one time, Jedi Master Caltin Vanagor was poised to become a living legend within the Jedi Order.
His valor and skill in the Clone Wars were matched by few. His presence on the battlefield was a beacon to allies and a terror to enemies, his leadership inspiring all who fought at his side. But it was not merely his prowess with a lightsaber that secured his legacy — it was his actions during the darkest hours of the Jedi Order.
When the Temple on Coruscant came under siege by legions of clone troopers, it was not fear or hesitation that defined Vanagor — it was action.
Still a young Knight, Vanagor sprang into battle, lightsaber flashing through wave after wave of attackers.
Through smoke and ruin, he carved a path not for his own survival, but for others — guiding younglings, Padawans, and fellow Knights to safety.
His quick thinking and unwavering courage saved hundreds of lives that day.
The Frozen Silence of Rhen Var
It was on a distant world — Rhen Var — where Vanagor's path would take a cruel turn.
Responding to a distress call, he found himself ambushed and overwhelmed. Shot down in the frozen wastes, he crashed into the permafrost, entombed deep within an ancient ice cavern.
Frozen in stasis for over 850 years, his body endured — but his connection to the Force grew volatile, wild, unpredictable.
When he was finally unearthed, the galaxy had changed beyond recognition — but Caltin Vanagor endured.
Rebirth at the Wellspring of Life
Seeking to mend the rift within him, Master Vanagor journeyed to the mythic Wellspring of Life.
There, he was not merely healed — he was reborn.
The Force no longer flowed through him in the traditional sense; it acted with him, surrounding every step, guiding every action. He became a living vessel of the Light itself — something beyond even the Jedi of old.
Yet through all this, his heart remained unchanged.
His loyalty to the Light, his commitment to service, and his deep compassion for others endured.
It was during this era that he found love — reconnecting with the very woman he had once sought to save on Rhen Var, a rare and sacred bond forged across centuries.
Teacher, Guardian, Legend?
With a renewed sense of purpose, Master Vanagor chose the life of a wayseeker, traveling the galaxy to seek knowledge, wisdom, and truth beyond the reach of bureaucracy.
Eventually, he settled on the lush world of Kashyyyk, where he founded a new Temple of learning — not for ceremony, but for strength, wisdom, and compassion. There, among the towering Wroshyr trees and the songs of the Wookiees, Vanagor trained a new generation of Jedi, passing on the truths forged from battle and reflection alike.
His legend grew, his name whispered with reverence across the galaxy.
Sacrifice and Resurrection
The peace was not to last.
When the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders invaded Kashyyyk, Master Vanagor and his allies fought to the last to evacuate both the Temple and the Wookiee clans.
Unlike the fall of Coruscant, this time Vanagor did not survive.
Struck down by the cannons of a Mandalorian Dreadnought, his body was destroyed — but the Force had other designs.
Through sheer will... or perhaps through destiny itself...
Caltin Vanagor returned from the Ether.
Yet he returned to loss:
- The Temple he had built was gone.
- The lush world of Kashyyyk was scarred beyond recognition.
- The echoes of lives lost rang heavy in his soul.
It hardened his resolve.
It deepened his understanding of Duty — not as an obligation, but as a sacred vow.
A New Beginning
Master Vanagor has since built a new Temple on the world of Kesh — a structure of wisdom and endurance, modeled in the spirit of the ancient Shadow Temples.
Through war, death, and rebirth, Caltin Vanagor remains a beacon:
The Jedi who would not bend. The Guardian who would not fall. The living testament that justice, honor, and duty will never die so long as even one Jedi stands.
"I asked Master Vanagor once if he missed the old days. He just shook his head and said,
'The past is a weight you can't carry and still lift the future.' I never forgot that."
