IC Heirarchy: The Empire of the Ancient Eye is a theocratic feudal monarchy, ruled by the God-King Mythos with the support of the priesthood and his various vassals. Seras Rose is the heir to the throne and Amaunet Asira is the High Priestess, leader of the powerful Anubian clergy, who's influence permeates almost the entirety of the Ancient Eye society, with few exceptions. The clergy enforces the Ancient Eye's religious doctrine and the worship of the various gods and goddesses of the Anubian pantheon upon the peasantry and nobles alike.

Amongst the vassals, the most powerful are the Matador, War Chieftain of the Ancient Eye, effectively an Archduke, who commands the other Warlords and nobles in Mythos' name, leads the ground forces in battle and answers directly to the throne. Each Warlord rules over a piece of territory and is tasked with administering that and levying troops and taxes for the crown. The power of individual Warlords varies, as does territory size, based on favor with the War Chieftain, wealth and conquest and as such, power struggles and political alliances are common amongst them.

Another powerful vassal is Kainan Wolfe, the Lord of Admirals and supreme commander of the fleets, who also answers directly to the throne and is the democratically elected ruler of the Shrouded Republic, the Ancient Eye's most powerful vassal, an enigmatic hermit nation who's reasons for aligning with the Ancient Eye can be found in the covert machinations of a mysterious secret society that secretly manipulates the Shrouded Republic through propaganda, known as the Wardens of the Shroud; Force Users who secretly plot to destroy the Force itself.

Splintering off from the priesthood, there exists a much feared death cult of sorcerers and necromancers, known as the Ascended. Led by Skorvek, these sorcerers use their Dark Side powers of Sith Alchemy to raise legions of Sithspawn abominations in the service of the crown.

The Ancient Eye and some of its most powerful vassal states also maintain intelligence organizations and units of elite guards, which are tasked with difficult and critical missions. Most notable of these are the Assassins of the Eye, elite, fanatical killers who act as the God-King's secret enforcers and the Promethean Guards, highly trained warriors that are tasked with the role of bodyguards for the most important individuals within the empire, with the exception of a few notable individuals who maintain their own cadres of personal guards.

Their most notable counterparts within the various vassal constituencies, are the Shrouded Republic's Precision and Contingency Operations Division, an organization who's professionalism and efficiency is well-known and respected. The personal guards of the Lord of Admirals, are the Wolfguards, highly disciplined and fanatically loyal commandos drawn from the Shrouded Republic's greatest soldiers.

The peasantry of the various Warlord fiefdoms and citizens of the Shrouded Republic are the Ancient Eye's middle class, the artisans, soldiers and engineers who keep this society running, while a large, oppressed underclass of slaves and second-class citizens carries out the dirty, dangerous and menial tasks and has few, if any rights.

Description: The Ancient Eye, a Faction that rose with it's roots firmly planted in Anubian mysticism and royal culture. It started when Mythos was resurrected on Ankhypt, his power and abilities in the force awing the Anubian priests who began to hail him as the incarnation of a god. But the Sith Lord was not content to stop there. After growing his power, he called upon friends and allies of his both old and new in order to create his own Empire. Because of this, The Eye's own set of gods and culture is either tied to or similar in nature to that of the Anubians.

The Priesthood is largely set up the same in form and function, ministering to old members and indoctrinating new members of the faith. Worshiping an group of gods and goddesses with rituals and archaic ways, they wield power both in the Force and politically. Sorcerers and Priests, they jockey with and against the Warlords and the Noble Houses tor power. The word of a well renowned Sorcerer could lead to the ascension of a Noble house, or to its fall. So too could the political positioning of a Noble House oust a particularly powerful Priest. The Warlords are much the same, governing the military might of the planet under their control while having to do a balancing act between the Noble Houses under them along with the Priesthood.

On top of these layers of intrigue is a singular driving force that binds this loose coalition of Warlords, Priests and Nobles together. The search for The Great Eye, an ancient and powerful force artifact that was long ago destroyed and scattered across Wild Space. To find one piece would spell greatness for its finder, a captain might become a Warlord, or a Priest gain much prestige and rank. Or perhaps one of The Ancient Eye's secret societies might pay for it, having their own devious plans in mind for the artifact.

Regardless of whom the finder took the piece of the eye to, it would be wise for them to watch their backs. After all, who knows what lows their competitors might stoop to in order to obtain it. Everyday life of The Ancient Eye's citizens is relegated and simple. All members of society are put into general castes, all of them working directly for the empire in one way or another. Amongst the lower castes, there is no family unit, rather all young are brought up and raised in the way of the Ancient Eye, its faiths and beliefs. While there is no direct slavery done by The Ancient Eye, the lowest caste of Conscripted Workers is close. Workers forced into penal labor, they do the dirtiest and the most dangerous work that needs doing. While the conscripted workers do not make up the backbone of the work force, they are not uncommon to find either.

The Military of The Ancient Eye is one of the few castes one can choose to join. While military service is mandatory for most members of The Ancient Eye, it is not for every single caste. A Conscripted Worker could join for instance, in order to try and regain some form of standing through valor and bravery in battle. While the Shrouded Republic brings most of the Navy might, The Ancient Eye provides the majority of the ground troops. Brave troops with a single, unifying religion and a thirst for war.

As a feudal nation, there are bound to be some differences between individual constituencies and these differences are most visible especially within the most powerful vassal realms, such as the Shrouded Republic. In stark contrast from the Ancient Eye, the society of this vassal nation is something which bears many similarities to the nation of the galactic core. Organized into a disciplined and ordered stratocratic democracy where those who serve, or have served in the military, have the right to vote, the Shrouded Republic is governed by an elected ruler who pledges allegiance to the God-King himself. The fact that this vassal state bypasses many of the hierarchical norms within the empire, is a point of contention amongst the Warlords, who view this powerful vassal with envy and suspicion and their hostility is only kept in check by the Shrouded Republic's immense military power, which amounts to almost half of the naval strength of the entire empire.

Led by Kainan Wolfe, the enigmatic Lord of Shrouds, this powerful vassal state has its own reasons for aligning with the Ancient Eye, reasons dictated by common political interests, as well as the covert machinations of a mysterious secret society of Force Users which lies at the heart of Shrouded society, known as the Wardens of the Shroud. Isolated and secretive to the point of paranoia, this secret society controls the Shrouded Republic through propaganda and covert cultural influences and has a hidden agenda to use the Great Eye as a means for creating a Wound in the Force, with the ultimate goal of destroying the Force itself, out of a misguided belief that this would serve their twisted beliefs of greater good.

The Pitch: The Ancient Eye is a true feudal faction with a unique theme, focusing on world building, the creation of deep lore and the writing of multiple, converging stories that are part of greater, overarching narratives. We offer our members a high amount of possibilities to write their stories and develop their characters, whether they choose the path of the scheming noble, the power-hungry warlord, the fanatical priest, the professional admiral or the mysterious member of a secret society.

In terms of options for military roleplay, the Ancient Eye offers its members the possibility to join a number of military orders, ranging from fighting as the imposing, unstoppable killing machines that are the Promethean Guards, to commanding their own personalized armies and fleets as a warlord, from unleashing the wrath of the Force as a priest, to performing precision strikes from the shadows, as a spy or assassin.

Beyond military roleplay, we offer our members a unique society fraught with political intrigue, hidden conspiracies and the power struggles between nobles and warlords that are the staple of a feudal society. An exotic faction from the exotic, mysterious Wild Space, the Ancient Eye emerges to bring forth its own brand of order to this part of the galaxy, driven inexorably forward by the search for an ancient artifact and the various plots and plans that its most powerful warlords may have for it, engaging our members and neighboring factions in entertaining storylines.

United by the goal of creating a new, fresh and exciting setting within the Star Wars galaxy, we combine our unique theme with our political system inspired by medieval Europe in order to provide people with the building blocks to expand the largely empty Wild Space region with new worlds, stories, organizations and lore that will leave a memorable and lasting legacy within the SWRP community.
