SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Tracks are made to cover all types of terrain with ease, including mud and swamps with a variable height management system that allows the driver to adjust the height of the tank to give it more all terrain power or more stability by raising and lowering the tracks on the tank.
  • Auto-loader is able to pull different rounds from ammunition bay and even extract rounds from the chamber to re-chamber a round in case the gunner decides to switch targets/target types. Also has the ability to program the HE-MP rounds to either perform as HEAT warheads or as HEDP warheads.
  • Turret incorporates a fire control system that when set can either utilize a laser rangefinder and computer system to lase, track, form a shooting solution and automatically lead the target based on current velocity and allow the gunner to fire in seconds, or, can set to a manual aiming system where the main cannon reverts to a preset zero allowing the gunner to Tattooine Windage and Corellian Elevation with targets.
  • Utilizes a Light Phrik-A and Ionite-A coating to protect the tank from small arms and Ion/EMP attacks. Underneath the outer armor coverings theres almost have a meter of Alusteel/Durasteel spaced armor.
STRENGTHS
  • Big guns move fast - This is a tank destroyer. It's designed to move fast around the battlefield and set up in defensive positions to give the crew the best possible angles of attack from oncoming enemy armor. And on top of that it has not one, not two, but three 140mm heavy vehicle cannons. This will become the thing of nightmares for enemy vehicles.
  • Armored Cavalry - The drive train on this vehicle and its reliance on tracks over repulsorlifts makes it able to go across virtually any terrain and be deployed on any planet regardless of atmospheric conditions. Add into that an Isotope-5A micro-reactor as the power supply for the drive train and all of the electronics on board this vehicle, and you have a tank destroyer that can keep up with the rest of whatever its with and operate so long as it has ammunition. Or to remove that dependency, slap on a capacitor sub-system where the ammo racks were and put a light turbolaser or three heavy laser cannons and watch as this thing tears through whatever has the misfortune of running into it.
WEAKNESSES
  • Armor not so much - This is a tank destroyer, not a tank. It's meant to move across the battlefield as a more defensively minded unit to set up ambushes and exploit enemies not covering their flanks. This isn't going to be the centerpiece of your armored charge into enemy lines, but rather a vehicle you'll keep towards the back to support this while you attack, or dig the vehicle in to prepare for enemy assaults. The Alusteel/Durasteel armor underneath the skin makes it able to take a couple of hits, but if this vehicle is being shot, you're doing it wrong.
  • No room - There isn't any room inside the tank destroyer for spare people or cargo outside of what's necessary for combat operations. This means that you dismounts are gonna have to find another ride. And with as fast and heavy as the turret is, I wouldn't risk riding on top unless you have a death wish.
DESCRIPTION
So, what's better than a really big gun? Three really big guns. That move on a tracked platform so you don't have to worry about environmental factors, but is also just as fast as its repulsorlift counterparts, is stabilized, and can give you the option to either stagger fire all three guns, or fire all of them at once. That's the M-4 HTD. It's three really big guns on tracks with ammo storage on board. And while it's not as heavily armored as a main battle tank or fighting vehicle, this thing makes up for it with sheer firepower. And with the three cannons, this firepower is utterly terrifying. So don't use this thing as a frontline battle tank, but rather use it as a support vehicle to support the main battle tanks. You'll want this thing to protect your flanks and exploit the enemy's flanks to bring a lot of firepower to wherever you want, fast. And with a vehicle like this, you'll make whoever was foolish enough to try and fight your vehicles be given massive revelations. Specifically three 140mm massive revelations that'll hit them so hard their grand kids and grandparents will feel the hit, even if the poor sod was behind 1 meter thick spaced armor.
