SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High Power Repulsorlifts: Erutor has been fitted with exceptionally high power repulsorlifts which allow it to ascend several dozen meters into the air. This allows it to better reach hard to get patients, such as those trapped in buildings or isolated by obstacles in a reasonably quick matter. Additionally, the Erutor's repulsorlifts are strong enough to support the added weight of the patient as well with little drop in performance. It is a fairly fast droid too, capable of moving at roughly 60 km/h in most circumstances.
  • Evacuator: Erutor is designed primarily to evacuate patients for treatment. To that end, it has a pair of retractable manipulator arms as well as a built-in tractor beam to safely scoop up the patient on a repulsorlift stretcher which it can suspend from its bottom. While normally rigidly attached to the droid, the stretcher can also be detached from the droid to aid in transferring the patient or to better maneuver around different obstacles. A built-in cutting laser allows the droid to cut through obstacles to the patient, while the tractor beam projector can also remove obstacles out of the droid's way, such as rubble that might be on top of the patient. Remote viewers allow the droid to more quickly and fully explore debris and wreckage to find survivors or possible dangers.
  • Basic Medical Suite: Erutor can provide basic medical treatment to those it finds. Most of its diagnostic programming is based on information gathered from its Galen series Medisensor, however, its programming also allows it to carefully interpret data from its basic visual and auditory sensors to suggest medical conditions - the Erutor's auditory sensors are fine enough that it can hear heartbeats at close range. For treatment, the Erutor largely makes Haven-series Health Generator which can project an antisepsis field, enhance normal healing rate, or restart a heart. A biobacta sprayer provides much of the additional treatment for most trauma wounds, but a number of hypodermic injectors allow the droid to administer a number of chemical cocktails to treat or stabilize the patient. The droid also carries with it a number of medpacs, which it can dispense to help allow the patient and bystanders to treat the immediate patient, or to help treat multiple patients at once during a mass casualty event. Lastly, its manipulator arms are capable of effectively performing some manually needed interventions, such as directly applying medicine to a wound, starting chest comparisons or even removing objects from airways.
  • Knowledge Cartridge Input Slots: A side panel of the droid conceals of a panel of knowledge cartridge slots. This allows the Erutor to receive immediate, additional knowledge on certain subjects that they might not have experience, but which is necessary to treat a patient. Typically these cartridges contain information on uncommonly encountered species or specialty fields (especially injuries specific to different environments or locales) that normally beyond the droid's basic knowledge base or training.
STRENGTHS
  • Patient Stabilizer: Erutor is fairly effective at stabilizing most injured patients, and is even capable of fully healing minor injuries.
  • Rescuer: Erutor is fairly good at quickly finding injured beings, removing them from danger, and quickly transporting them to higher levels of care.
  • Durable: Erutor is pretty durable, having both thick armor plating as well as shielding which protect both it and the patient from both the environment and against many weapons.

WEAKNESSES
  • Basic Treatment Only: Erutor is not likely to fully heal most serious injuries or perform sensitive surgeries because of its limited number of tools and analysis capabilities.
  • Noncombatant: Erutors are not armed and have no combat programming, making their combat use to retrieve casualties sometimes risky.
DESCRIPTION
In a galaxy rife with wars and natural disasters, there is almost always a need to quickly find and rescue people. It's a high priority job for many organizations, but it is also a dangerous one, which makes the emergency medical technician particularly well-suited to being filled with by a droid. Designed from the bottom up to fulfill the role, the Erutor itself is part rescue droid and part mini-ambulance.

Unlike many medical droids, the Erutor is designed to withstand hostile environments through the use of armor plating and onboard personal shield generator which encapsulates both the droid and its patient. Additionally, unlike most medical droids, the Erutor is fairly good at both finding patients and then extracting them from difficult situations, whether it's a being trapped in a crashed speeder or someone dangling precariously off a ledge. Rather than walk around like many bipedal droids, its frame has been designed for both speed and carrying capacity. By taking this more unusual shape, it is able to suspend a stretcher from its bottom, making it both quicker to deploy and more stable during transport. Once the patient is onboard, it has a host of diagnostics and medical equipment that it can quickly employ to treat the patient during transit to a higher level of care.

Erutors were designed primarily to work for civilian and government agencies as part of standard emergency rescue services - they unsurprisingly have widely spread through space in the mid-rim "Slice" where Lucerne Labs has a strong corporate influence, but they are also finding some favor within some militaries as well due to its durability and speed - both of which are almost necessities on the most battlefields.
