BIOGRAPHY:

Shran was born on Ornfra, a planet located within Chiss space. He was born into the Nuruodo family, which is the second Ruling Family of the Chiss Ascendency. However, having spent all his childhood being groomed to be a politician like most of the rest of his family, Shran decided that at the earliest possible moment, he was going to book passage offworld. Shortly after the 23rd anniversary of his birth, Shran stowed away on a cargo ship. The ship smuggled him to Coruscant. Shran had learned quite a good deal about the Empire in his studies back home but it was nothing like experiencing it firsthand. It didn’t take Shran too long to realize that without a place to stay, life was going to be hard. On top of this, he didn’t have any credits for food or clothing. With this in mind, Shran decided the best course of action was to enlist in the Imperial Military Academy. Shran used his family name to weasel his way into the academy without raising too many questions.

From the ages of 23 to 34, Shran served as a soldier in the Stormtrooper Corps. On one fateful day, Shran was on standard patrol with a trooper who was known as Rosco when not on duty. Rosco was the very first friend that Shran made at the academy and was one of the only friends he made there since the Empire was still a widely xenophobic faction. As the two made their rounds, a sniper shot split though the sky and burned a hole straight through Rosco’s head. The incident destroyed Shran and filled him with a deep hatred. This newfound hatred led him to defect from the Imperial military shortly thereafter. Now, Shran was going to put his skills to the test by trying to find the man who killed his friend. After a year-long manhunt, Shran found himself in the heart of The First Order, on the planet of Bakura. It turns out that Rosco had outstanding debts to an intergalactic crime syndicate. Shran spent a while trying to devise a way to take down the syndicate, known as Crimson Sun (a newer incarnation of what was once known as Crimson Dawn many years ago.)

Shran had little to no luck finding anyone who was willing to join him in a physical battle with the syndicate so then Shran began to think outside the box. If he couldn’t take out the syndicate with force, he was going to have to do what he was always meant to do; become a politician. The mayor of Gesco City had been having some trouble lately due to charges of corruption, much to Shran’s benefit. In the following election, Shran forged the necessary documentation to get himself on the ballot and won the election in a sweeping landslide, having promised to take down corruption in the city and bring a stop to organized crime. His first act as may was ordering the arrest of the previous mayor. From there, Shran embarked on his vendetta, utilizing every resource he had at his disposal to bring the Crimson Sun to justice. The organization wasn’t completely broken, but it very quickly moved its operation off-world, but not before Shran captured the assassin responsible for Rosco's death and having ordered his execution. Once his crusade was over, Shran decided he had nothing left for him in the First Order and decided to return to the Galactic Empire. Deciding to stay in politics, he worked his way up the ladder. Eventually, he landed as the Minister of Defense.

Following the fall of the Core Imperial Confederation, Shran found himself leading a small imperial remnant that retreated to the unknown regions. At one point he caught wind that a small band of imperials under the command of a rogue warlord had retaken the imperial palace and were defending it against invasion from the Grayson Imperium. Shran wasted no time, he went to Coruscant and assumed command of the imperial forces, however, it was moments too late as the Imperium had already breached the palace. Lord Grayson himself allowed Shran to retain control of a small Imperial bloc and sit on the council of High Lords in return for unconditional surrender. Shran accepted the terms and held the position up until the Grayson Imperium reformed and became more democratic. His Imperial allies and he were becoming less and less welcome as time went on and eventually he found himself leaving the former Imperium.

Again a man without a home, Shran applied for asylum within the Zweihander Union. He took an interest in the union because of their traditional imperial aesthetic but also their relationship to the Eternal Empire, which Shran saw as the last true major bastion of Imperial values. Within the Zweihander Union, Shran was granted a naval commission and accepted the position of Supreme Joint Chief within the Union's military. On top of that, he applied for a role as an Overseer of the Armed Forces within the Eternal Empire with the hopes of serving as a liaison between the Eternal Empire and the Zweihander Union. He spent a considerable amount of time as Overseer of the Armed Forces for the Eternal Empire, but his time in the position was cut short. Incompetent members of his staff made one too many mistakes and Shran stepped down from the position. By this point, Shran had been getting up there in age. Already in his mid 60's in standard years, Shran knew that he only had at best 20 more good years left before a permanent retirement might be necessary. It was clear that his days as a fighter were most likely behind him and that a quiet life would be more suitable for him. Shran and his wife made his personal Star Destroy, The Imperator, their primary residence.

Still wanting to be involved in politics, Shran moved back to the core. In his heart, he was a traditionalist. Other entities existed that wished to uphold the ideals of the Galactic Empire as it was under Palpatine's rule, but few had the legitimacy to create a new Galactic Empire. The last time Shran had been in the core was when he was serving in the government of the Grayson Imperium. Seeing as how that government no longer existed and was instead replaced with what amounts to the continuation of the old Galactic Republic, Shran knew better than to expect his old position back. Instead, he began looking for ways to get involved, make a name for himself, and if possible; avenge Emperor Palpatine.
