This ship was designed to be a fast attack craft that can dart in, drop off its load of starfighters, pick off enemy starfighters, and then get out of harm's way. It has decent defense but lacks any capability to fight with a capital-ship. All 4 squadrons of starfighters are externally mounted for rapid launch when entering the battlefield. The only weapons platforms carried are the OPDL installations which are purely designed for defensive measures, making it ideal for use against enemy starfighters, but nothing else.
