Special.png

  • System of holocameras and viewscreens, coupled with a SOC and bio-organic circuitry/computers that allows for a bridge to be hidden within a ship, rather than placed in an openly viewed and easily attacked location, such as what is standard on most vessels. The bridge can effectively be buried in the heart of the ship, maintaining functionality and removing it from being a target.
Strengths.png

  • Organic circuitry and computers allow the system to withstand EMP attacks and maintain functionality, which is essential to a bridge with no external viewports.
  • The bridge is hidden within the ship which makes it no longer an easy target.
  • Redundant holocameras mean the loss of one won't severely hamper visibility.
Weaknesses.png

  • The lack of external viewports can be a downside if the organoform circuitry becomes sufficiently damaged, or if the cameras are destroyed.
Description.png

One of the most targeted locations on a ship by enemy gunners is the bridge because eliminating the bridge eliminates the ability of a ship to effectively function. In response to this, EIC worked through its subsidiary, Overlock Industries, alongside Lucerne Labs to produce a new and secure bridge system that allows the entirety of the space around a vessel to be viewed without the use of viewports. Utilizing strategically placed and redundant holocameras connected with organic circuitry to viewscreens, it's possible to make a bridge fully enclosed. By adding a strategic orrery center, the entire battlefield can be surveyed from the safety of a place deep within the confines of the ship, avoiding becoming a target for the enemy looking to quickly incapacitate a ship.
