  • Nearly limitless source of energy.
  • Needs "recharged" every couple of years.
  • Capable of powering a ship and its weapons with energy to spare.
  • Runs itself.
Strengths.png

  • Nearly limitless: Fusion reactors provide a nearly endless supply of energy as long as they're "recharged" at appropriate times (replacement of the lithium blankets and addition of deuterium).
  • Excess power: Arc fusion generators produce more than enough power for the running of even the largest of droids on the same size generator, minimizing production costs.
  • Energy Weapon Resistant: Because of the construction of the reactor being made of both Echani Graphite and Phrik, the reactor is able to withstand strikes from blaster and laser weaponry.
Weaknesses.png

  • Not Proof: It's resistant to blasters and lasers, but repeated strikes will break it.
  • Extra Hot: Fusion reactors produce a lot of heat. The electromagnetic shield combats this, but if it is struck by an EMP, the two cancel each other out which will release a lot of plasma with the heat of a star. Things are going to melt.
Description.png

Much like the smaller fusion reactor installed in most of the EIC current model of droids, this larger reactor operates through the use of hydrogen gases. By superheating them, the fusion of deuterium and tritium gives off a massive amount of head which is subsequently collected by the reactor and converted to energy which is then used to power the ship that the reactor operates in. Even the strongest of weapons doesn't provide additional strain because the amount of power produced by the reactor is always designed to be proportional to the needs of the ship, meaning at maximum capacity of systems the reactor will not be strained. This system isn't without its drawbacks, however, as the reaction is very very hot and the electromagnetic shield can only hold back so much of that. Approaching the reactor while in operation requires protective gear, and any electrical interference with the magnetic shield can cause plasma release. All that's required to run the system is an ignition spark of power, and from then on it will run indefinitely so long as the lithium blankets and deuterium supply are regularly replenished.
