Kessel Konundrum; Imperial Skirmish of Jedi-Controlled Kessel

Yuroic attempted to block some of the shots fired. However, he couldn't catch them all and his armour attempted to absorb some of the damage but still left him with minor injuries and bruises. Spending time to heal the worst of the wounds, Yuroic didn't have time to tell the dock workers to not intervene. Watching in horror as he felt the anger of the Trandoshan boiled over until he thrashed free and burnt alive some of the dock workers while others fled in fear. Taunted by the Trandoshan, Yuroic took a deep breath and moved forward. You will not taunt me into action. Unfortunately, surrender is no longer an option for you now.

Twirling his blades, Yuroic leaped into action and kicked down at the Hunter. Once landed, he used the Force, suspecting that the brittle voidstone plating was now broken due to the piled on attack. Pooling the Force into his fist, he slammed it at the Trandoshan's face. Before jabbing and stabbing at the armour, searching for weaknesses with his sabers. Leaving the interlocked sabers in their double saber form. His armour was weaken but so would the Trandoshan's from the dock workers attack.

Jumping aside, he observed Sith's attack, not wanting to be in her way. During this he sent a message to Asani via his VI. Alerting her to a high presence of enemies and injured civilians. The message was simple and quick. Larger number of enemies than anticipated. Asani need you to combat other Imperial/Bounty Hunters. However, do not jump into too much danger.

Yuvie cursed to herself that her force push didn't work, she had deliberately aimed for the jet-pack but it seemed the void stone was stronger then originally thought. Though distracted her for a moment as the Trandoshian pulled out his weapon, firing wildly at both of them, fortunately the Jedi step in to help deflect the round, Makashi not being good for defensive, though she knew the basics of Djem So ad was able to deflect some of the round but several still hit her, one inf the shoulder, the leg and chest.

The following pain making her recoiled a bit falling to one knee as the dock workers ganged up on the mercenary, giving her time to recover from said wound. Actually using a Jedi healing method she learn a while back, 'think heaven I decided to go with him'. While getting her wound under control she she could only waych horrific sight of the workers being decimated, ripped apart, she looked at the Jedi wondering what thoughts were going through his head, and was surprised by his calm nature, something that she'd struggle to keep in his shoes.

'Ill never understand how these guys work", pulling through the pain she rose to her feet, the wounds healing enough to get into the fight. The Kedi launched forwards directly attacking from the front trying to exploit any weak points.During this move she flanked the Trandoshian, aiming her saber at the leg, knowing now force powers would be useless for the most part, but it could still be used to increase the power of her own strikes.

Causstik listened to the Jedi speak, but it was lost on the Trandoshan. He was in his own world now. He watched as the Jedi turned into a hideous beast. The voices were roaring in his head like a hundred beings bound into one body.

KILL THE JEDI

KILL HIM NOW!!!

“Yes…” Causstik mumbled “Kill them… Kill them all…Hah,”

THE DARK LORD COMMANDS IT!

“Yes.. For the Scoreke-” Causstik was knocked out of his trance as a phrik plated fist collided with his helmet. While all the void stone had not broken off, their was not enough to stop Yuroic from enhancing his fist. As a result the blow was like a freight train to Causstik’s head. His helmet dented inwards and the Trandoshan roared angrily

“RARRRGH!!!”

Blood gushed out of Causstiks noise and in his dazed state he could not block the blows to his body. The Jedi managed to scar the phrik plate mail, but it would take more than a few glancing blows to reach the Beskar chain that lie beneath. Causstik snapped out of his rocked state as the Sith prepared to strike. She dropped low and attempted to cut at Causstik’s legs, but before she could make the cut his hand reached to his back. Between the Z-6 jetpack and Causstik’s backside lay his personal favorite weapon. A sawed off scattergun. Perfect for unarmored force users. Causstik pointed it at the Sith while she cut at his legs and fired near point blank. A large cone of pellets raced for the Sith with lethal intent. With his free hand Causstik reached for his helmet and threw it off, exposing his face and revealing the Trandoshan’s left eye was blinded.

After all they had just been through, most of the civilians that Asani had led to shelter weren’t really interested in talking, at least not to her, so she had decided to leave them alone and meditate for a bit. When Yuroic reached out to her, she heard his message clearly though the Force and quickly responded with a brief message of her own. “I hear you Yuroic. I’ll try not to get myself killed.”

With that said, she told the civilians and workers to stay calm, and promptly left the residential area of the mining colony. Wondering what the Imperials and bounty hunters wanted with this place, she began quietly exploring the rest of the facility, doing her best to avoid being seen. Eventually she came to hear footsteps in a room up ahead. She crept up to the entrance and peered inside and noted that it was some sort of control room, most likely for the mine itself. She swallowed hard as she watched the men inside, and her hand drifted closer to the training saber which was attached to a simple belt around her waist. For the moment though, she just watched and listened, wanting to be sure what was going on and what she was up against before leaping in head first.

Unfortunately for the Silver Jedi Order, their sensor net was too slow to keep up with the unrivaled speed of the Empire's Death Squadron. As [member="Sko'saht"]'s single ship was moving into position in an attempt to block-off access to the planet of Kessel, Death Squadron would arrive into realspace as close to the planet as possible and began to jam communications with their numerous E-WAR modules.

A dozen of the Empire's primaire star destroyers as well as its flagship, the Pellaeon, began a destructive volley of turbolaser and ion cannon fire, with concussion missiles and proton torpedoes trailing close by. Hundreds of TIE fighters raced out of their hangar bays, moving to engage the fighters that were being launched by the sole enemy ship, a Lucrehulk-class by the looks of it.

Soon afterward, Death Squadron's auxiliary vanguard would arrive in order to provide support utilities ranging from interdiction to anti-starfighter defense.

Mabbik sighed as the alarms started going off. He was overseeing the destruction of some new found spice caches. This was going to be interesting, some stormtroopers were in the docks along with what appeared to be mercenaries. Checking that his saberstaff was clipped to his belt the Kushiban jumped into a security airspeeder. Security personal throughout the area were converging on the docks. It would soon be crawling with security officers and droids. While the spice production had been ended by the jedi there was still quite a few security units just to ensure no one illegally started mining again.

The airspeeder quickly threaded it's way towards the cargo area that the stormtroopers had stormed. Relaxing himself Mabbik watched the security cameras. The fighting was still confined to that small section for now. Nodding in satisfaction as the police units began blocking off the streets his airspeeder pulled up to one of the barricades. Hopping out and over the barricade he began to quickly make his way down the street. Going into a sprint he made his way towards the sounds of conflict. Focusing on the force he tapped into the flowing currents and reached out. Feeling the flow of the dark side he followed it back to it's source. Touching upon the people and creatures causing most of the disturbance he began redirecting the more lighter currents of the force into into their defenses. It wouldn't hurt them however it would begin to affect their concentration if they were a sith and the mercenaries along with the soldiers would likely start to have worse and worse luck as the lightside began undermining the influence the dark side was having on them.

Noting that the Trandoshan was blind in his left eye, Yuroic attacked from the left hand side. Attacking high, saber cutting at the jetpack to ensure that he couldn't escape. Grabbing at the arms of Causstik, Yuoric attempted to fling the gun away from the Sith to avoid her getting injured. Before swinging his elbow against the Trandoshan's face. Finally he kicked the hunter in the stomach and flung himself backwards, assessing the situation.

There were other dangerous people about but Yuroic couldn't leave the two here to fight, not yet. He was desperate to find Asani, to take out the other threats that were in the vicinity. However, he shifted his focus back to the present and moved around the combat. His fist was sore from the punch, sadly there wasn't much he could about it yet. Not wanting to waste energy he might need on a minor injury.

Operation Spice Flow
Kessel
851 ABY
DT-2417
Call-sign Pestilence Actual
Post Two
Objective: Push the Jedi forces outside of the spaceport, thus ensuring security to proceed with the operation without harassment.

The corridor for Jedi reinforcements was still open. That had to change.

With battle all around, the Death Troopers moved throughout the conflict, occasionally taking a shot at the odd factory worker that tried to mount any sort of resistance against the Imperial forces. The ROE stated during the briefing strictly prohibited use of lethal force unless they got in the way of a skirmish with a HVT; thus the rounds that were used against the insignificant dock workers were nothing more than stun rounds, meant to incapacitate rather than outright kill. A force to spread terror and the will of the Empire, acting as the spearhead to slowly push the Jedi and their underlings from the spaceport, every move was methodical. The Death Troopers moved with purpose and with an eerie synchronization about how their approach to their objectives. As far as they were aware, the rest of the Imperial force had the cargo area under control, however establishing and maintaining a perimeter where the Jedi were kept out of the spaceport was vital. With that, the securing of the spice would surely be without complication of the Jedi forces hammering down on those assigned to the task.

The Death Troopers stacked on the door that led deeper into the spaceport, DT-2417 made several hand gestures as two of his men prepared a grenade each. Primed and cooked, the grenades were thrown into the adjacent room and detonated as the black armored prophets of death and terror moved inside and began their engagement. As if by external influence from an outside power, the grenades had been unfortunate enough to not take as much of an advantage that was hoped, and the opening volley were missed by an inch or something that was clearly just because of poor luck. What would have been a simple assault became a more tedious task but alas the Death Troopers were not made to complain.

Their objective would be met soon enough.

Call-sign Sigma Lead
Objective: Support Pestilence's advance by securing the space port's auxiliary service gate.

Actor status.
TK-1515. Sigma Squad: Under fire.

Morale is low.

TK-1515 mused to himself as he crouched beneath a spray of incoming fire, using a feeble standstone wall for cover. "I said 'return fire!' Up and at them Sigma!" TK-1515 shouted into his command comm, deliberately forcing the entire squad to listen in on their sergeant's outrage. The effect on the squad was instantaneous as eight other troopers suddenly sprung out of cover, beginning to aggressively push towards their opponents, a well entrenched force dressed in security fatigues. Despite the push, the defenders redoubled quickly- a wave of return fire once again pinned the Sergeant and his squad. "Emperor's fury!" 1515 spat in disgust, more offended by his squad's poor performance then the feasibility of the task. "Two. Seven!" The sergeant gestured towards a pair of stormtroopers, one of which is cradling a T-21. "Return fire. Full suppression." The pair of troopers nodded, and quickly went to work to suppressing the enemy position. 1515 shook his head and turned his attention down to his helmet's command HUD, muting the sound of the squad's heavy-weapon with comm-chatter. Clearing his throat, 1515 activated his comm-bead and quickly submitted a five second situation report to IMPCOM. Which can be accessed by any nearby Imperial combatants.

"Report. Squad Sigma. Service
gate entrenched. Squad cannot advance. "

He strike seemed to hit, but enraged the Trandoshian, as said mercenary pulled out a scatter gun, and pointed it point blank into he abdomen. She tried to doge but would not get out of the way in-time, causing the Sith to brace for the incoming pain, thankfully the Jedi again used the chance to push his scatter gun to the side, though not all the way. Upon firing some of the palates hit Yuvie in the hip, tearing several, not so nice holes into her flesh.

The force of the blast propelled the inquisitor back, sliding a against the ground for a meter, leaving a smear of blood on the ground, she clutch her sides in pain from the shot, no longer focused on the fight. She tried to slow her breathing and focus on healing, but the wound was to large to simply patch up and keep fighting, but then a push from the force came about, most likely a Jedi trick to get the upper hand in the fight, though for Yuvie it meant something different.

The light in pules increased her rate of healing, allowing her to return concentration to the fight, though still too injured to fight closely she could use to the force to fling projectiles at the Lizard face, and hopefully catch him off guard again. While the Jedi made another series of attack Yuvie reach out in the force and grabbed a hold of a sharp mining tool, forcing it with high speed at the Trandoshians hip, out to get some sort of pay back.

Asani Windsong said:
“This is Asani, Padawan to Knight Yuroic of the SJO. Kessel is under attack by what seems to be stormtroopers of unknown origin. Please send aid as soon as possible.”
Rebel Base, Hutt Space

Allied with the Silver Jedi and all those valiant defenders of the light, the Rebel Alliance also received the distress call. From her comfy hover seat aboard her flagship, Darci studied her tactical feeds while brushing her fur smooth. A Kushiban's fur changed color when stressed; there hadn't been a time that Darci's comrades had seen her coat any other color but brilliant snow white.

What she found, fed to her by SJO ships in the system, was quite shocking. At least a full battlegroup's worth of ships associated with the Galactic Empire by their model and drive signatures, the centerpiece of the formation being their lone Super Star Destroyer, one of only two battlecruisers of that size known operating within the galaxy. It was strange committing such force for a backwater planet in Hutt Space, but the Galactic Empire was known for such odd allocations so far from their space.

Life Day had come early for Darci. For weeks the pirate had been devising schemes to lure out the GE's SSD for capture, but they had just thrown it out there on their own volition. She would not waste this opportunity.

She issued a text message to the SJO ships and Jedi in the system, indicating her impending arrival. Hopefully, they would hold out by the time she was in a position to get to work. Operation Grand Theft Admonitor was now underway.

Luyioth Dakwin
Cargo Port 41, Kessel, Kessel System, the Outer Rim Territories.

Interacting with: [member=TK-1515].

Dirt fell from the ceiling as Luyioth ran through the halls. She was all too conscious of the lightsaber on her hip: she had never been in legitimate combat before, nothing beyond sparring and drills, yet it was quickly becoming a matter of sink-or-swim. Deep in her stomach, she felt concern: if the Empire seized the spaceport, if that was their goal, then she'd be trapped between an assortment of Stormtroopers and Voss - need not mention any inquisitors they might have.

She came to a shuffling halt to slam her offhand against the button controlling the air lock a few times, impatiently prompting it to open. The moment the doors were wide enough for her to squeeze through, she did just that, pressing through to the security forces being suppressed on the other side. With some due aid from the force, she slid partway across the field to unceremoniously slam into cover.
"Stars above-!" she cursed to herself as she adjusted, getting in a position that's a little more accommodating. Whether she liked it or not, she was forced to at least partially focus on the hail of fire on their position; it was overwhelming, a well trained suppressive volley from a team of the Empire's finest. With suppression like this, they'd surely find an advantage. In a desperate, scarcely thought effort, Luyioth searched for something to lob over the wall, where she eventually found an abandoned sports ball the approximate size of a thermal detonator.

In a barely-thought attempt to create an opening, Luyioth lifted a hand to extend her influence towards the ball. After a moment of focus it began to wobble, where she then threw her arm to lob it towards the team. She only hoped that they weren't sharp enough to realize that spaceport guardsmen don't often come with thermal detonators; how likely that was for the Empire's elite? Hard to tell.

Yuroic attack was swift and devastating. With a swing from his lightsaber he disabled Causstik’s jetpack. The Jedi’s move did not stop there, he managed to force the Trandoshan’s hand by shifting his aim enough to save the inquisitors life. Causstik had to reveal his ace in the hole… As the Jedi attempted to elbow Causstik, the center of his metallic left eye would begin to spin. It opened revealing the dark recesses of the fake eye and then a split second later it spewed a large glob of vile green acid.

As the slime raced towards Yuroic the Sith attempted to hurl a large piece of metal at the Trandoshan. In turn Causstik decided to use his other ace in the hole. His Z-6 was unoperational as far as flight went, but the warhead mounted to the top was still untouched. He Ducked low as the object came flying towards him then fired the missile at the Sith. The rocket propelled napalm grenade did not hit the Sith directly, but instead detonated to her left. The kinetic force sent objects sprawling and the napalm within the missile dispersed in a wide radius.

Everywhere things began to catch aflame as the Napalm did it’s job. The flames danced in the center of Causstik’s pupil. He became entranced by them and in them he saw the Scorekeeper.

“I WILL HAVE YOUR HIDE JEDI!” Causstik snarled as he raised his scattergun. This time aimed at Yuroic. He fired, pulled the cocking lever and fired again.

The guns belched fire as soon as the enemy fleet appeared. Computer systems reacted near instantly to the enemy fleet's arrival and lack of freindly IFF tags. The anti-fighter and anti-missile systems began to pour out rapid fire turbolaser and .fifty caliber rounds to surrond the ship with what amounted to a wall of flak fire. This would only last a few moments however as the computer anaylzed the situation and began to rapidly close down the firing arcs so they were focused down the arcs that the enemy missiles, torpedos, and fighters would be coming down. One burst from the heavy machine guns would rip apart anything unshielded and the guns were focusing down the missiles and torpedo's almost as soon as they launched.

Sko couldn't react nearly as fast of course however his reflex's were faster then most humans. He'd been looking at the tactical display when his compound eyes registered the arrival of numerous enemy vessels at close range. Acting off instincts from his days as a gunship pilot his chitin fingers dropped to the power controls. Eyes going down to try and keep up as his brain raced to register what was going on. Catching up he drained power from all systems except shields, internal comms, and weapons. Nothing else mattered at this moment. Next he toggled the targeting for his weapons. Letting the smaller do their work of blowing apart anything that strayed within defensive fire range he targeted the nearest SD. All Toprawa's and 88mm cannons that could began targeting it. He was glad so many of his crew were droids or automated systems and his ship was essentially a space station. Their ability to react was far quicker then any organics. His Summer's had already began targeting the reactors of other SD and were momentarily dropping the shields to fire out 380mm APHE shield piercing shells in groups of three. With all three turrets targeting different SDs they should be able to destroy, cripple, or heavily damage each one. That was one thing that was fantastic about this vessel, almost all of the hypervelocity guns had shield piercing capabilities. Turning to his last weapon system that hadn't automatically targeted he began assigning the Interdictors as primary targets. Light missile launchers spurted out MIRV missiles which cloaked themselves and began speeding towards the Interdictors.

Meanwhile his fighters began to move to engage the enemy fleet. Two of the squadrons of Wasps began launching their newest weapon, the Genie missile. With it's large blast radius the missile would detonate in the packs of enemy Starfighters shortly after they were launched. It should destroy even shielded fighters and the resulting debris field would make navigation hazardous. 112 missiles were launched, with four missiles per Wasp each missile was targeted on a separate squadron of TIEs, they would rapidly close and detonate. Any survivors would be set upon by the other three Wasp squadrons who carried the more concussion missiles. The five more regular rear turreted Wasps would move to keep the B-wings covered as they made their attack runs. Meanwhile all the B-wings would focus on their own SD. Launching torpedoes and closing to go in for passes with ion cannons to lower the shields and begin disabling the guns if the alpha strike of 80 torps didn't take down the enemy in one pass.

Fleet:
1x Lucerhulk-X-class supercarrier (Shields: 67%, Hull: 98%)
10x Squadrons of Slayn & Korpil Interceptor-1 Standard Module System/Military variant 14x per squadron (2x Armed with 4x Genie Missiles per fighter in their Attack Module and on their pylons, 3x Armed with Attack Modules carrying concussion missiles, 5x Armed with Rear Turret Modules)
10x B-wing/E Starfighter (8x B-wings per squadron)

Yuroic attempted to deflect what he could of the scatter shot, sadly he was hit in the gut. The bullets pierced his armour and though drastically slowed down, they still caused him damage. With the bullets inside his gut there was no way he could heal. Yuroic winced as he held his stomach with one hand and lifted his other with his palm outstretched. First pooling the Force, he then unleashed a strong Force Push. However it left him quite drained.

Yuroic removed his helmet as he examined his wound. He could feel that the bullets weren't deep in his body which was somewhat fortunate. Sadly, he couldn't tell exact where inside him they were so using the Force the push them out was not possible. Instead, he stemmed the bleeding and grunted. It wouldn't be pretty removing the bullets later but he still needed to be able to fight. The Sith might chance an attack seeing him weaken and he wasn't going to let his guard down.

Turning around, he twirled his blades once more, ready for action.

Kaiza Pawaro

Do, or do not. There is no try.
A blur descended from above and landed right next to her, prompting the Padawan into spinning on her heel, saber ready, stance defensive, back guarded by the massive container. Grateful for the helmet, as she found herself severely nervous and her expression conveyed that, Kaiza cautiously regarded the newcomer with a questioning gaze. She had expected Sith to go after her, yet this creature looked nothing like the stereotypical portrayal of dark side practitioners. Quite the opposite; deceit and cunning came naturally to those who worshipped dark arts though, and thus the Jedi’s armoured figure rejected the notion of lowering her guard just because the other party did not sport a skull-shaped helmet.

Most importantly of all, the Padawan refused to let go of her lightsaber – expecting trickery, she would never lower the weapon when dealing with servants of the Galactic Empire, even if said servant acted strangely friendly, in a manner completely unbefitting the situation. Still, the Mirialan offered a polite smile, completely ignoring the fact she wore a helmet.

“I am not here to test you,” spoke the young Jedi, “I am on Kessel to protect.”

Her form remained still like a statue, only fingers moving ever so slightly to adjust their grip on the cylinder.

“Please, surrender or leave in peace. Your people have caused enough suffering already.”

The racket coming from nearby fuelled her worries, appealing on her duty to defend the innocent and help her fellow Jedi. That was impossible before dealing with this strange, cat-like person though; Kaiza needed to resolve the situation soon.

Sitreps were coming in all around from troops, reporting encounters with some Jedi. Max began giving new orders for units that had fulfilled their objectives, though it was a daunting process among what seemed to be a strict time constraint.

Ahead, a Trandoshan ally was in combat with a Jedi. The fight appeared close, but as long as he kept them engaged, that was good for Max and his men. He wasn't just here to cause havoc, but also the spice. And there was lots to go around.

A report from a squad came in, reporting that they could not advance.

"Sigma Squad, we're moving some men on you."

Blitz was sporting his usual wear and carrying his gear in the designated place's,he had heard quiet a bit of buzz over the comm's and around as gunshots, explosions, screams, ect were being heard all around.

Blitz had quiet missed all the action he thought as he placed another detonator down on the lower support beam to the mine beginning to walk out to the entrance/exit point of the tunnel walking to the main bay/docking area.

He finally exited to see Causstik fighting it out with the Jedi and the Sith Acolyte when he was sent down here he was slightly briefed on the others a big psycho lizard and a Sith Acolyte, seemed about right but now why were they fighting? And why was the Acolyte fighting with a Jedi, that breaks all kinds of protocol, better clean this up before it gets really messy.

He would kneel down taking out his 500 Riot Gun flipping up the convertible scope. He would quickly take aim at [member="Iturizu Yuvie"]'s sternum going for a shot at directly center mass, his gun set to semi auto, staying a solid 30ft away, firing off the direct shot in attempt to wound her severely.

The woman took a few moments to look over her and think on what she was going to say. Watching what body language she could see, Ailuros could tell she was a little confused by her actions. While the cat was part of the Empire, she wasn't dark or evil. She was just following orders. In a way, Ailuros was innocence in an almost pure form.

"My people? They have barely stepped out of our system!"

She misunderstood the meaning of Kaiza's statement and thought she meant Trianni and not the Empire.

"Here to protect? What good is protecting these people? They promote the use of controlled substances and exploit the weaknesses in people."

Lowering the paw she had out for introduction, Ailuros looked at Kaiza curiously. She made no move for her weapon, but stayed on guard since the Jedi had yet to lower her weapon.

She stood up again as blood continued to trickle out of her scatter gun hip wound, she was starting to tire out, and concentration was fading. Her attack on the Trandoshian failed, but use up his rocket, meaning he was not able to target the Jedi, but did not bode well fro her. As the rocket detonated to the left all Yuvie could do was cover and shield her eyes as the and again try and brance herself for the incoming pain. The napalm scorched the left side of her body, she fell back onto one knee crying as the heat melted some the material of her outfit into the skin causing excruciating pain.

She could not keep up this fight, and both her and the Jedi where taking more damage from the mercenary, Yuvie gritted her teeth and stood back up, but was drawn away from the fight then the force alerted her to another presence. Several shot cam from behind aimed at the mid section, from a clone trooper not less. She tried to deflect the shots but was to badly wounded to do it properly, as such two of the round impacted on her chest and abdomen, easily punching a ole through her armor.

Yuvie stood still for a moment while rendering what had just happened, before falling down to the side, her saber tumbling out and onto the floor, disengaging. The world started to fade due to the loss blood, her mind slowly descending into an unconscious state, critically wounded and slowly dying, "Ba... *cough*.... sted".
