Jetii delenda est [ Mandalorian Raid of Ossus vs. SJO ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrJAwCBbnuc

Objective: Destroy the temple.

The orders were clear, set the charges and make it all crumble down. Ronan, Alkesh and Kalad would bear the full burden of the onslaught on their beskar'gam while he had to make sure that what they came here for was done.

No matter what the price.

As a mercenary, he had been used to go solo. Now, knowing that he was next to his brothers and sisters, he felt odd and out of place to be alone seeking the quickest and safest way to reach the temple. The battle was at its peak at this moment, whatever advantage was their surprise attack it was no longer one. That card had been played. It was another round, a bloody round where both forces ferociously came at each other's throats. Many men and women would perish this day, many vode would not see another day. Grim had to succeed or their sacrifice would've been in vain.

The HUD blinked at the far left edge of his display - a humanoid being detected by his lifeform scanner. Before he could react properly for cover, Grim heard the less than a second long buzzing sound similar to that of a bee passing by with supersonic speed. Falling dead weight to the ground right after was too late as the HUD flashed a red point on its right hand side relaying the information that the mechamiri pack was offline.

Hell of a lucky shot. The Mandalorian rolled away into cover and cursed his luck that he had to go into the den of the Jedi without no Force nullification gear. It made him smirk and remind him one time during his career as a mercenary where he had to face a Jedi of the Galactic Alliance and would've eliminated her had not a cease fire been called between the Alliance and Grim's employer.

Before Grim could do anything, he had to turn off the bad news projected on his HUD from different Mandalorians - their ships were disabled. Whether permanently or temporarily, he did not know nor did he want to think about it just now. The Mandalorian was not actually thinking of leaving.

Through the HUD and the communication channels, he was alerted of Ronan's orders to lay waste upon the sniper. The covering fire that followed upon the enemy's position was perfect opportunity for Grim to jump up and dash inward in a zig-zag manner. The more ground he covered the better off evading another face-off with the sniper and the closer he got to his first X.

<<"Nice one, vode. Moving in deeper.">>

A massive explosion rocked the ground beneath him and Grim instinctively jumped behind the closest cover he found. Something big had struck the ground somewhere further down his road. Whatever it was, it probably meant more distraction for his enemies and more opportunity for the Mandalorian to cover more ground. He also could act as recon as best as he could for the assault force Ronan was leading. Gripping tighter his submachine gun, the Mandalorian went once more onward deeper into enemy lines, the explosive charges still safely with him.

Up ahead Jamie could see the starship Waide was racing towards. Time was running out, but there was no way he was going to escape that easily. Fortunately for her lack of expertise in piloting it was mostly a straight shot to Waide's ship, and the man he was forcing to actually do the piloting was not quite in the best mindset for doing so, making it a bit easier for Jamie to slowly catch up. The lead he had on her was sufficient enough for him to secure Reginald in the cargo hold much like an animal, caged. If she had continued at full throttle Jamie still wouldn't make it in time before the hold sealed, and her face would be kissing the hull of the ship at around 130km/h, not pretty.

With a silent growl the blonde pulled hard on the brakes, turning the bike to the left and skidding to a stop about five meters away from the Sith and the man being held high in the air. She quickly dismounted and stood adjacent to the vehicle, thinned lips, flared nostrils, and furrowed brows indicating she had had quite enough of chasing this man. Tired of being thrown through the air. Tired of the cowardice of the Sith. Already tired of the pain in her back.

"Put. Him. Down. Gently." Each word was emphasized, spoken slowly, the softness to her voice now completely lost on her.

She had enough of this.

"Release the prisoners to me, Waide. And I will still let you leave."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?

Her training was intense. It was not only a daily ritual but a specialism of hers. Whereas other Jedi focused on a variety of aspects of the Force, Sorel had always wished to become a Guardian. Students in the Temple learned to defend, to wear one another down. They were shown that to conserve their strength was the better route to success. To press was to fight in a dangerous way. You would leave yourself open to attack time and time again, and rely on your opponent to take the defensive stance. It would end the fight quickly – one way or another. Because you cannot always rely upon your enemy to take the defensive stance. Such a fighting style was perceived by the Jedi as too dangerous, too risky.

A part of Sorel wanted to be dangerous. Her injuries meant she was already at a disadvantage. But her training invariably overrode her instincts in these matters. She would rein in her anger. Given she was unsure how strong her opponent was, she could not risk exhausting herself. She prepared to expect her enemy to not miss an opportunity to do her harm. Their initial encounter indicated as much.

She’d negated the blaster, but at the cost of the use of her right hand. And given her opponent now wielded her saber in two hands, she knew that she would struggle to block any powerful blows. She would have to reply on speed and parries – which fortunately played into an area of strength.

And as the armoured woman circled Sorel, she relaxed. She connected deeply with the Force and placed her life in its charge. Her own disposition was in contrast with her foe. Sorel didn’t know if the rasping was some air filter or natural breathing, but the sound reflected the woman’s demeanour – cold-blooded, her breathing like the hiss of a deadly snake.

The generic application of being on the receiving end of hardship to a race or a group was common and often misguided. Like Sorel’s own mistrust of Mandalorians because some attacked the Jedi on various occasions. She knew it was generalising but she found it hard to overcome the prejudice. But at least she tried. One day she would need to do or do not, but that’s for another story.

Sorel felt a clammy blackness in the air as the dark-side of the Force was drawn upon by the woman standing in front of her. The sensation was cloying and made her feel dirty. But she was sadly used to it by now.

The armoured combatant swung her saber with great force. Unlike a typical manoeuvre, the power was not at the sacrifice of speed, given the Force guided and enhanced the move. Sorel’s left hand moved into an intercept position and a moment before the blade would have made contact, a small slapping sound indicated the hilt was in her palm and a golden blade snap-hissed into life and she parried the blow down and away from her body. Such was the force of the blow, a direct block would have probably shattered a bone or two in Sorel’s forearm.

Sorel immediately deactivated the saber, choosing not to counter. “Which Jedi?” she asked calmly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Darth Ignus said:
"Good day. I am Darth Ignus, here on behalf of the Sith Order. To whom do I speak?"
"This is Davon of Clan Karr of House. Stand down, drop your shields, power down your weapons and prepare to surrender. You have thirty seconds to comply."

The old man clicked off the comms. "Interdiction fields up, target them with everything we have. Lock on to the engines of that heavy cruiser. I've been looking for a chance to find more Sith in the sector for weeks now."

Connor didn't stop looking at her all the time she circled, and even grabbing him. All so materialistic and harsh words he hadn't heard before. The threat of death, the inability he showed, the lack of drive. It was water off a Gooberfish's back. There certainly was a venom to Keira's voice, and he could tell she was in the mindset of a bloodthirsty warrior. It wasn't the Keira he knew, not at all - but then he wasn't the Connor she knew.

Yanked across by her strength, he stumbled forward a step, before straightening his messy tunic and giving an exasperated sigh, nearly a scoff.

"Either kill me, and do them a favour, or leave me alone. I'm really not in the mood. I've got more important matters than this little squabble between you both."

The dismissive words of "you both" rather than "with us" slipped out without thinking; he wasn't here for the Jedi. He looked at her, stepping across to her again and looking into that helmet.

"Yes, right now I lack the ability to control my power, but so do you. If attacking me makes you feel strong, it's a poor show when I'm not even stopping you. Easy target. Well done. I'm leaving here today, because I have a lot more to learn. And then you'll think twice about talking to me like you have." He brushed his hands together. "I've made mistakes, said and done things I wish I hadn't, but that time is over. I've finally found the calling that has been inside all these years and I'm answering it - and if you have any ounce of respect for me, as your friend, then you'll leave me to find it and return more powerful than they ever thought I could be."

He opened his arms.

"Free shot again. Either hit me as your enemy, or end this and accept me as your ally, because I will fight, and keep on fighting. But not today. Not now, like this."

There was a smirk on his face as he could tell that his offense had penetrated through the Jedi's defense and lightly injured her as he could tell that the rhythm of Aela's dancing blades skipped a beat and moved towards her side, favoring the side of where one of Vilaz's blaster bolts struck her in the arm. But the fight wouldn't end there. Oh, no, he knew there was some fight left in the woman and wouldn't step down from a little blaster bolt. That's how most of them were as he had fought both Jedi and Sith alike.

The outbursts of blaster bolts came to a halt as the Mandalorian didn't want his assault rifle to overheat and become a dysfunctional tool. It would give Aela some time to ready her defenses, but the Munin wouldn't give her the chance to.

Suddenly the Akaan's opponent dashed to his left and then with the aid of the Force tried to push him off of his balance and leave him lying down on the earth. This was a success as the Munin Alor fell down and rolled on the terrain of Ossus, making the gap between both Jedi and Mandalorian wider. Vilaz gave another grunt of annoyance, and began to rush at Aela again. This time, however, he wouldn't be firing at her with his rifle. Instead, his right hand held onto the weapon and his left hand was raised, firing blaster bolts from his Dur-24 wrist laser that was a part of the weapons system of his armor. The rate of fire was lesser when compared to the rifle, but he couldn't just do nothing either.

The man kept coming at her, but she knew that as soon as the gap closed they’d be on more even ground, that was something she couldn’t allow.

She didn’t know a lot about the Mandalorians, but she knew well enough that their armor was impervious to lightsabers. That in it of itself was a danger to her, enough that she had to try and take him down before he could ever reach him. To that effect Aela took a step back, one lightsaber flicking up to reflect the bolts from the wrister laser, the other wheeling back slightly.

Aela shifted, and then threw the bright white saber.

Within half a second the lightsaber turned to a glowing white disc, spinning through the air and becoming half a blur as it flew right towards the Mandalorians legs. At the same time she launched herself forward.

She tried to surprise him with a move of aggression, using her remaining lightsaber to swipe at the mans arm and hopefully bat it to the side while her other saber knocked him off balance.

Jamie Pyne said:
"Put. Him. Down. Gently." Each word was emphasized, spoken slowly, the softness to her voice now completely lost on her. She had enough of this. "Release the prisoners to me, Waide. And I will still let you leave."

Waide watched as Jamie dismounted, then spoke to him. His face was a mask of calm as his right arm pointed at the guard who hung upside down. It was a strain for him to hold the guard up, and he wasn't one to kill on a whim or out of spite. He motioned, and the guard flew through the air to crumple onto the ground butt first, then lay in his continued unconscious state.

"Or what, Jedi Pyne?" Waide asked as he stepped away from the dropship, his leg limping as it was still very injured. The pain flashed in his eyes when he put his weight on it, but Waide kept his weight evenly distributed. This was partially out of pride. He didn't want to show weakness to anyone, let alone a Jedi. This was also partially to generate more emotion. Both his previous and current masters had taught him to use the negative emotions as sparingly as possible. They were powerful, but extremely seductive, and relying on them often stole the wits from a Sith. Right now, however, he had little to be positive over, so negative emotions were going to keep him going. "What is your end game here? You take the hostages, then let me fly off on my fairly well armed and armored drop ship?" His voice was a growl, and his eyes flashed in indignation. "Am I supposed to believe that is going to happen? Am I to trust that you trust me not to blast you as soon as I am off the ground? Am I to trust that you won't have fighters inbound as soon as I hand over my hostages? Why?" He asked a lot of questions, but he stood between her and the hostages. Though he was obviously in a lot of pain, he still looked like he wasn't going to back down.

Her eyes flinched as she watched the unconscious man roll onto the ground. In retrospect it was likely best that he was unconscious, lest he feel the pain of hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes. Still, she didn't move towards Waide or the man, he had managed to get the drop on her twice now, and wasn't about to let her guard down rushing to check on the man's well being just yet. Her weapon remained by her side, rather than in her hand. A slight breeze shifted in the trees, carrying with it a bit of a mid-afternoon gust, throwing her hair into a bit of loose disarray.

"Or I will do what I have to, to ensure their safety." She let him make of that what he would. Her left hand crossed her right arm, holding on to her forearm as she spoke in return, tone softening just slightly, enough to pull away a bit of the venom from moments ago. A sign that she was a little less on edge seeing the man on solid ground, rather than dangling from the sky by only Waide's will. "Yes." She said simply, nodding in tandem. "To everything you've just said." Blue eyes stared from across their unspoken, invisible battle line. "I take the hostages, you leave unopposed, just like I promised before."

The Padawan looked to Waide, taking in a deep breath, teeth pressing against her lip as she gathered her thoughts. "I'm hoping that despite all of this there is still a chance for mutual trust." She shrugged, "You could get aboard your ship and kill me, true enough. For obvious reasons I'd prefer that not be the forecast for my day. But I am no Silver Jedi, Waide. I can't call for backup, perhaps I might have, had this been Sullust, or Lothal, or Naboo. But I was only here to study their history. I can't order fighters to pursue you any more than I can pull a star destroyer from the sky."

Her hands fell back to her side as she wrapped up her proposal. "I care about all life. Some Jedi may not, but every life, even yours, is precious. That's why I care." The blonde knelt down, reaching into the boot she had slid the Sith's weapon into, pulling it free. "Here. A token of faith." She said, throwing it to him with an underhanded toss. "Please, just give me the prisoners and you can go."

Location: Low Orbit of Ossus, heading towards Aegis
Objective: Defend Ossus
Enemies: The Sith Order, everyone else currently shooting at the Silvers. (Popo, I'll still take you on with an alt on the surface, but my focus has switched to fleeting. I'd enjoy a dogfight, so feel free to tango with me if you care.)

At
the edge of the Ossus system, Arisa dropped back into real space in her A-Wing at the head of joint forces of the Klatooine and Lianna flotilla now under her command. Originally, she had planned to have Commander Baner sit back with his flotilla in the staging area with the rest of her ships, but the situation had changed as a Mandalorian squadron had appeared overhead Ossus on top of the two previous fleets detected. Now she would be the one to reinforce Aegis.

Stations along the border between Silver and Mandalorian space had picked up on large movements of ships, indicating the Mandalorians had reinforcements at the ready. For this reason, she had advised Admiral Sala'dine to hold off on sending in so many fleets, lest the Mandalorians or Sith advantage of the massing of so many hardware in one area to strike elsewhere within Silver Space. That’s why she had left most of her fleet patrolling in the Si'Klaata Cluster instead of throwing them at Ossus. Between herself and General Isard, she could make due for the time being.

Hellcat had identified most of the vessels of the unknown belligerents after analyzing readouts from local sensor arrays, cross-referencing public
holonet sources and internal databases. The second, larger group (Ignus) consisted of ships of the same class used by a Sith Lord at Ziost. There had also been confirmed sightings of Sith on the surface at Aegis.

It was too much of a coincidence for both the Sith and Mandalorians to have appeared at the same time. She concluded that it was the work of collusion. As she had personally witnessed at Togoria and Mimban, the Mandalorians weren’t above working with the Sith to achieve certain political ends in eliminating a common foe, and the Mandalorians themselves were infested with Dark Siders from top to bottom.

As for the Mandalorian ships, all were identified. Several
interdictors, and now singularities were being detected. That actually worked to her advantage with a new strategy in mind.

“Baner, the Mandalorians have interdictors active. Jump behind
Nerit to avoid the pull of their gravity wells, then standby. General Isard, you get behind Mimhttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mim, and wait as well. I’m going in with the assault group. As we pass through the two main formations, attack the Sith vessels with ion cannons and missiles. Jam everything, then throw up a screen of gas behind us as we pass by to baffle their sensors. Avoid directly attacking the Mandalorian vessels and the unidentified fleet, ROE on them is to avoid attacking unless first fired upon.”

Despite an inner cry for vengeance for the death of so many at Kashyyk, the Watchman held off ordering her ships to attack everything in sight, holding out on the small hope that the stubborn Mandalorians would finally get their act together and recognize the true threat that
Thurion had tried warning them about. She had no issue blowing them all away if they forced her hand, though. I’m getting soft...Sorel is rubbing off on me. Just how was her friend doing on the surface? She would soon find out.

“Commence operations.”

The groups of ships dispersed on their separate assignments in microjumps. Outside her cockpit, the black backdrop was briefly replaced by streaks of blue, then the vast expanse of mottled browns and golds of the surface of Ossus below.

The HUD of her helmet lit up with all sorts of warnings as proximity sensors were going wild as contacts were detected in every direction.

“Keep it together, just barrel straight through!”

Racing away at combat speed, the small body of ships and escort fighters and gunships cleared the Mandalorian formation within seconds of reversion. After passing through, the Chandler fired four EWAR missiles behind, creating a large cloud of nagnol gashttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nagnol_gas between Arisa’s assault group and the Mandalorian formation. If the Mandalorians felt so inclined, they were free to shoot through the growing cloud to get at Arisa’s formation, but they risked hitting the surface of the planet with every missed shot (made more likely with the nagnol cloud blinding their sensors and comms along her trajectory). With her on a direct course for Aegis, that could mean hitting the very Mandalorian (and possibly Sith?) allies they had come to protect. Would they risk making the same mistake that Charzon had after crucifying the Silvers?

Next came the Sith warships. As earlier commanded, every capital ship was targeted by a combination of ion batteries and missiles - diamond-boron, pulse-mag - as her assault group blew past them. She and the rest of her squadron had their Phantom Jammers active, directing their jamming efforts at the ships to leave them crippled during the blitz.

A few seconds later, and her group was past them, too. Like
with the Mandalorian formation before, the Chandler fired another round of EWAR missiles into the Sith formation, intermixed with several concussion missiles to decrease their chances of being destroyed before detonation. Even if they were hit, that would still result in their payload being released, just not at the exact coordinates desired.

Clear skies now lay ahead, but the window for her to act was terribly small before the Mandalorians and Sith recovered.

Nusan, deploy pods.”

The
recovered pod-carrier launched its payload of dozens of droid pods, some destined for Aegis right below, while other for settlements across the hemisphere. Very shortly, the Mandalorians, Sith, and everyone else currently shooting at the Silver Jedi and Ossians were about to have some company at their rear and overhead.

Together, the ships of the assault group decelerated, and the Minerva began cycling power to its anti-bombardment shield. Arisa intended to create a killbox over Aegis once she reached the surface, raining hell down on the Sith and Mandalorian infantry between its shield and Aegis’ own while denying enemy ships the ability to do much to retaliate. She had a head start on the Mandalorian and Sith ships currently loitering in orbit, so she should be able to set up with the Minerva before they had a chance to respond. On the dark side of Ossus’ moons lay reinforcements ready to pounce on the Mandalorian ships if they got froggy, with more on deck just outside the sector to react to attempts at dogpiling.

“This is Watchman
Yune,” she announced over an open line to all surface forces. “The sovereignty of Ossus will be preserved. Withdraw now, or perish.”

At the end of the day, this was what it was about. She didn’t care about the small-minded Sith or their incessant campaigns of vengeance against the Jedi. Their ideology supposedly preached freedom from the system, yet they still allowed themselves to be shackled by their hatred and envy. All that mattered was keeping the Ossians and her friends safe. She would do right by the people who had taken her in as their own.

Oh, it was far too tempting, all of it. Every fiber of her being wanted to break his neck and watch him fall with his head wrenched unnaturally to the side, broken just as she had done to him in their last meeting. The only thing holding her back were the scraps of morality she still feebly clung to, the last of her sentiment keeping him alive. When he invited her to take his life her breathing turned to a hiss between her teeth, fingers flexing, breath hitching in her throat for the adrenaline sluicing through her veins. Her brow was furrowed, it evident she was warring with herself internally, tossing back and forth through her mind the idea of killing him. By all Nine Hells, she wanted to end him, break him once and for all.

Breaking his bones wouldn't bring about the same satisfaction it had the last time, though it would make her feel better about all of this. Still, there would be no real gratification gained this time if he was just going to stand there. Already she had declared time and time again that the Jedi were a waste of breath with their constant unwillingness to act, so for the vode to even be here was some kind of hypocrisy, though the lot of them were beyond the point of caring. They had been out for blood since Korriban, and this was their chance. For her own part it was an opportunity to mend old wounds or tear new ones into previously undamaged flesh, and right now she was leaning distinctly towards the latter.

Her right hand raised almost nonchalantly, halfway a fist as she exerted pressure around his throat. Slowly it closed until her hand was nearly shut - presuming he hadn't torn himself away at this point - his neck and windpipe both nearly at the breaking point. Her fingers twitched, halfway a reflex but mostly her want to end this, now and forever, leaving him just another corpse in another ransacked temple on another Jedi world. But however skewed her ethics had become, they wouldn't let her do this. And she wasn't prepared to sacrifice her own humanity once again for nothing more than immediate satisfaction. He would fall by her hand if she had any say in it, but there was no real enjoyment to be found in fighting cowards.

All at once the pressure about his throat would release, a moment of pervading silence passing before a focused burst would impact directly with the center of his chest, a blow that would send him backwards and off his feet by nothing more than opening her fist. Slowly her hand lowered, and she watched him carefully, booted feet crunching across rubble to where he had landed. "Then go."

Waide listened as the Jedi spoke of trust and faith. He was entirely skeptical, he had done a good amount of deceiving her in the very recent past and it would take a saint to have faith in a person after that. He had refrained from trying to kill her, or anyone else, but that spoke less to his trustworthiness than to his calculating nature. He was frankly surprised that the Jedi had not stopped to help the injured people, he had overestimated her dedication to the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one philosophy. His lightsaber spun through the air towards him, and Waide caught it with little difficulty. He examined it for a moment with an upraised eyebrow, then looked back to Jamie.

"You are not of the Silver Order, and you mention Sullust and Naboo. I assume you are of the New Jedi Order then. Will you not be in trouble for freeing me?" He asked, his interest piqued, though he made no move to open the drop ship's rear hatch. "Likewise, if you cannot order a fighter screen to take me out of the sky, you cannot guarantee my freedom. I would propose a compromise. I keep the researcher, you get the guards...there is another one in the grass beyond the nose of my vessel." This felt entirely strange, treating with a Jedi like they were selling stocks. He didn't know if he could count this encounter as a win no matter what happened. He failed to bring down the shield. Even if he kept the researcher, his use wasn't known until he could be interviewed.

Enyo's training had not been kind, not in the least. Genocidal HRDs were not the type to care about fuzzy feelings. Not unless they'd been given the order to get close to a target - or a critical resource. She'd been born in a cloning tube as a full-grown adult, but without all of life's experiences. From the moment she could follow orders, she'd been trained to become the weapon of the Force her mechanical overlords wanted her to be. Gehenna, the hellish death world where her sister had won her greatest and bloodiest victory, had been her home, when she was not living in sterile bases populated only by droids.

Succeed and fulfil their expectations, or be discarded as an inferior model. After all...Archangel could always procure another clone. By now, she was more than aware of her role as a tool. By now, the leash was slipping. Her bosses could burn for all she cared. She lived for Amara and for revenge on those she believed had wronged her. Perhaps one day Archangel would be hers.

Their lightsabres clashed and the Jedi parried her blow down, ensuring that Enyo's blade could not cause her harm. The Jedi clearly had power and skill. She was obviously more experienced than the clone.

Enyo took a step back, seeing that her opponent had deactivated her own weapon. Beneath her helmet, puzzlement was written across the clone's features. The Jedi's comportment confused her. Her left hand was removed from her sabre's hilt. Talking is not a free action. Succeed or fail. There is no try, the inner voice reproached her, but something compelled Enyo to answer the Jedi's whispered query.

"The Silvers." Venomous hatred and spite could be heard in her voice. "I was in Korriban City." Then she suddenly thrust her left hand forward. In the same moment, power shrieked from her free hand, unleashing a powerful burst of telekinetic energy towards the Jedi's leg. It was not one of the wide-ranged, area of effect kinetic explosions her sister favoured. Those were impressive and destructive, but also very taxing and wasteful. It was an invisible hammer, brutal and precise.

Then she stepped forward, right leg first. She brought her lightsabre crashing down like a falling avalanche, starting with one hand but swiftly ending up with both on the hilt. As she moved her left hand to join her right, she carved down diagonally from her left to right. The sabre, glowing with a violet fire, was aimed for the right neck and shoulder of Sorel, seeking to score a devastating cut by drawing upon Enyo's formidable strength.

The disappointment in Jamie's face was apparent when the Sith opted for a compromise she wasn't willing to make. She wanted all of the prisoners. "Loosely associated." She admitted, "But the trouble I will be in for allowing you to leave will be vastly outweighed by returning that man you have to his family. At least in my eyes anyway." The girl took a step forward, her head tilting ever so slightly, as if to emphasize her words with the gesture. "That's why I need Mr. Walthers too, if you would." Her hand extended, palm upwards as if expecting him to place the man at her side.

Perhaps returning the lightsaber was a mistake after all.Jamie still honestly believed nobody was beyond reason, though perhaps she put a little too much faith in Waide.

"I returned your lightsaber. I'm sure your master would not approve of losing it to a Jedi. Furthermore I sincerely doubt that the Silvers will waste their efforts securing a single drop ship leaving in the midst of whatever else is going on. I would venture to say that if another Jedi was in my place you would not find yourself leaving, just as if the tables were turned I can't help but feel that you wouldn't show me the same courtesy, but this is where we find ourselves, so again I ask, please return the prisoners, and you may go."

With lightning coursing through him, Ijaat cursed. Sensors flickered and flared, but the insulations and faraday cage kept the armor safe. His own body, however, was cooking in the suit. Blisters were felt in what would be very awkward places, and he cursed aloud, the sound a guttural bark of mando'a as he yanked with all his might on the cable wrapped around the Sith Lord's throat. If Thurion had succeeded in what was attempted, then this would further the cause. Sweat poured down his face from the heat as the repulsors in his suit whined, trying to blast off excess heat without providing thrust. His vitals on the HUD were out of control, and much longer he'd have to start shedding armor to keep himself alive, even though it would expose him to the raw energy.

Waiting, tense, he stepped up his back foot and kicked it out, as his arm came back to grip the haft of the hammer in a double hold, winding up like at a plate for bolo-ball. His leg came up and out, hoping his yank had pulled Carnifex towards him as he hop-stepped, kicked down and planted, swinging up and at the hips, aiming his strike at what should be the chin of his opponent. If it connected as planned, the Sith Lord would rocket off the impact from the hammer directly back at his irregular ally, the Grandmaster of the Silver Order. The Force pulsed in his hands and body as well, if successful it should amplify a minor application of shatterpoint to the Dread Lord of Carnage, shattering whatever he hit if possible.

Waide considered himself to be a reasonable sort, he had spared every life he had come across on this mission so far. That he had been planning to take part in the orbital bombardment of the base and temple complex didn't come into that accounting as it had been the sole purpose of his mission, and because he had failed at it. He hadn't pursued the Jedi, though there were some in his Order that would have aimed to take out any Jedi they could just because of the title. He hadn't killed the guards, or the numerous people they had run past on their merry chase. For all intents and purposes, he was a very reasonable Sith acolyte.

Leaving empty handed, however, was out of the question. It would be a stain on his record, even if only in his mind.

The lightsaber activated almost before he had decided to do so. His calm mask slipped away, and fell into a rocky exterior and glinting eyes.

"I've been far more reasonable than most of my Order would have been, Jedi." With those words, he turned towards where the nearest unconscious guard lay, and stalked towards him with his pronounced limp. Deep inside, he was working his anger and frustration up, letting every step with his injured leg stoke the fires within. He knew she wouldn't let him hurt the guard, that she would be forced to attack him, and he was keeping his senses alert for it, preparing himself to meet it.

The blonde's nostrils flared in resentment. Shouldn't have given him that damned weapon back, idiot! Her blue eyes stared at the crimson blade as it was activated, her hands curling into fists, the smallest of the bones cracking under the skin. "You will find that the Silver Jedi are not nearly as forgiving as I am for your misdeeds, Sith." The word rolled off her tongue as if it disgusted her to say. "You were more than fortunate that it was I who came for you, and not another. Taking a life won't make you strong, it only proves you're a coward." Her hand reached down, removing her own weapon once again from its' resting place. "You're making the wrong decision." With a deep sigh her thumb depressed the activator switch.

"I hoped to avoid this."

Twisting her wrist the blade came level with her chest, pointing outwards towards Waide as she shifted her body off to the right side. "Three times you spat on my kindness. You won't get that weapon back next time. "

With a single Force-aided jump the younger woman would leap toward the aide of the unconscious man a short distance away in an effort to prevent his untimely, meaningless demise. Her cold blue eyes would remain fixed on Waide and his movements, after having been victimized several times through his use of the Force, this time she was confident that she was ready for him. The instant her feet hit the ground she would move to engage the Sith. He had pushed her, and pushed her, and pushed her throughout this whole thing, always taking more than she was willing to give. He would answer for his crimes, even if that didn't mean today. She would see to that.

Zeltros, was a peaceful planet before the sith attack and made a barren waste land for a time. Coriella was a planet abundant with life nothing more than a asteroid field. Korriban, a near lifeless planet now flows with the blood his kin, brothers and sisters, teeming with endless bodies of those who cannot go home to their families. That was merely the tip of the iceberg of what the warrior has seen, the battle loving warrior enjoyed his fair share. But there were a few places where he chose to enjoy his peace. One was the renewed zeltros, another was voss, and lastly and certainly not least his home, OSSUS.

They dared attacked his home?

Here rested his clone army, his disciples of the elements, the great fort Aegis, and the steadfast veteran himself. The silvers were not ever lacking in defenses. His physical wounds had been taken care, he never felt better. But they dare throw salt on the still open wounds of his children and those he loved? That could not stand, Jericho cared little of whatever was in the minds of his foes was, to him it was merely a death wish now. There would be no excuse for anyone to hide behind now. All faults goes to the fools who steps in a Greater Krayts den.

He readied his armor, adjusted his mask, strapped on his belt with his four sabers.

The force circled around him flowing freely like a brisk wind. He pressed on his commlink to rally his forces. "Seems we have uninvited guests and it seems they had their fair share of our hospitality...." The warrior started off. "You know all know how I feel about prolonged company. Time to send them home." He walked out of the exterior of his temple, his home, behind him an army of clones, all trained and ready for battle both force using and non force using combatants. "Everyone listening tell me your current situations and level of urgency. I will held my men accordingly."

He felt two energies to the west, one calm and one conflicted, angry.....That is where he will start. Tear through anyone in his wake to get there.

"Commander, hand all situations accordingly. Face the mandlorianswith caution, no one is ever to be underestimated. Send teams to assist with all combating parties."

No one and he meant no one, was going to make his home a wasteland, not while he was breathing and if they some how did. Those involved will always be sleeping with one eye open for the rest of their lives.

Objective: Tactical Retreat

Leos could only shake his head at the audacity of this Mandalorian. They didn't have a strong enough force to just make him surrender. Besides, judging by the speed of their largest vessel, he could easily outrun them, so why would he surrender? Not to mention the fact that this was a corporate fleet, not an actual Sith fleet. He actually cared what happened to these particular ships far more than he would have if he was on Sith Order vessels. No offense to the other Sith or anything, but deep down he really didn't care about any of them. Probably true of most Sith towards the other Sith, to be honest.

"The audacity of this Mandalorian is astounding."

He smirked.

"All ships ahead full. I believe we can outrun them. Have on of the Guardian squadrons fly around the planet and out of these vessels sensor sight before diving down to the planet and finding a waiting spot. When the forces on the ground are ready to leave in the RAL's, they'll accompany them as support and we'll pop back in to pick them up."

"Yes, sir."

All six ships would kick their engines into full gear, even as they started becoming targets of the enemies guns. It might take them a while to outrun their interdiction ship, but he was positive they could do it based on the enemy ships closing speed. That said, they did have to deal with the fact that the enemy was firing on them while they fled. Fortunately, with no direct enemy ahead of them, that wasn't too bad of a problem. And of course he figured the best thing to do in the situation was to at least nitpick at these imbecile's anyway. After all, how tactically unsound was it to fly into a situation where you had people on the ground fighting the Jedi, and chase off the people that could help you defeat them? If they were his subordinate he'd have them severely disciplined for it.

"Focus shields to aft, all ships. Guns may open fire on the enemy if they're in range as we pull away from them."

"Yes, sir."

A squadron of Guardians would disembark from the fleet and head around the planet at full speed to find their place to wait. The remaining starfighters began to filter into their carrier ships. Enemy fighters could be dealt with by the defensive guns and the two anti-starfighter vessels that were mixed into the formation. He wasn't worried, for the moment.

That changed as an enemy Jedi fleet appeared and drover at them.

"Optimize shields. Return fire, continuing pushing out of the system."

"Our scanners and sensors are being jammed."

"Use line of sight firing. At this range we can pound them just as they can pound us."

The fleet force returned fire. While several systems retained damage, the fleet continued to move out of Ossus orbit and away from the planet. Considering the fleet had never fired a shot except at the Mandalorians, this new Jedi fleet commander had only given them further ammunition to use against the Silver Jedi. The Silvers had fired first.

"The Silver's will never learn. I will relay further commands between ships via the Force until we are out of system. Fly by sight. We will escape them."

Willa was looking as the vanguard fleet came out, they had taken more time to get there but coming out at the edges then moving int o get a better perspective of the planet and what was happening. Arisa Yune was there and giving information as was a number of others when they started linking up with them better. Moving in before she spoke. "Have the shield carriers mov into positions, cover the temple and aegis base then deploy and Jericho classes into the jungle. Coordinate with the others and form a wall. between the carriers and jericho's we'll set up a coverage area filled with a lot of anti fighter and ion cannons shooting things." She was looking at the tactical advantage of it and given the shield and wall carriers well should be interesting.

"Message from Watchmen Yune, commander she is coordinating and bringing in the fleet from Lianna. We'll move the ships in to meet and coordinate with her." Alright that would have to do as Willa was reaching out with the force and feeling it. The commander carrier was a treat to have but what they were really looking for were looking to move in and go behind the one group but Willa still looked over some of the plans. Arisa had the first eyes and the monitoring stations that were giving them feedback served well enough for what they were doing as the commander stood in the gunship as they launched. From the command carrier to the groundside as she spoke.

"Watchmen [member="Arisa Yune"], report and confirm on position. Sending in shield carriers to Aegis Base as well as temple with blockade carriers to encircle." The Jericho walls with the shield to make a zone of operations that would serve and block out things. She wasn't seeing a lot of reports of heavy weapons which the hulls of the ships didn't block out. So having them along with her tactical pads read out helped coordinate them to the planet. "Dymo cruisers will be in position providing anti fighter support and protecting the shield cruisers once they are in position and active. Primary fleet should be arrivng soon with reinforcements afterwards to stagger arrival given circumstances."

She secured her helmet as the high grade stealth armor looked different from the others but once the cloaking activated she was ready to go. Seeing the planet on her heads up display with positions where they needed to go she was making headway to go towards and protect some of the others. Rally what jedi and defenders they had to fall into the operational positions when going past them she could see the large shield carrier going into position as the cruisers in the distance were appearing. Their linking capabilities to form a high wall around the shield being deployed and the ranger's area of opposition was going to be reduced. Smaller chokepoints of enemy troops.

"Commander we have droids on the ground, biots, local forces have come in and all are reporting in to coordinate. We have the temple in view and anti fighter cruisers are taking positions to protect the shield carriers." Alright then she could go with that as the locals knew the world better then anyone, she was sending them the message to coordinate and cover the chokepoints that they were creating with the wall cruisers to bottleneck and handle the invading forces. The bulk of the vanguard fleets forces were sticking and coordinating with the directions from Arisa Yune about where to hold position so they could be ready to attack. More ships would arrive and she was watching the large soldiers with her as they started heading out.

The commander was taking up position as rangers were going out in the skyfall jeeps for the jungle to scout as well as reinforce positions. New that the Ossus fleets were returning would work in their favor as she guessed it had been an important reason they vanished and not quantum but who knew. Magical asteroids had been present before she got into position with her rifle and was looking through the scope towards the areas of the conflict. Seeing and sensing [member="Sorel Crieff"] whom she knew to be skilled but still sending a message to her tactical pad to confirm position for reinforcements. [member="Jericho"] was here as well and she sent a message for him with two of the biots.

Then there was [member="Coci Heavenshield"] she was reporting into and letting the shield carriers protect overhead once they activated with the shimmering light of the massive domes over the large areas. Sala'dine was learning from her experiences and had given them the best she could for what it was worth as the ship nearly functioned to make sectional world armor. She could feel the presence of [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] there on the world and was reporting for him that they were incoming with more at the temple before she saw the prototype droids the verpine had made and was directing them. Sending them to congest one of the areas to funnel other troopers into her line of sight.
