Jedi Mission; Ryloth Investigation

Leina remained very still looking at the councilor and turned around at the urging of Vorhi as she smiled. "Yes okay for dealing with a canyon it is best to make sure we have long pants and shirt to avoid scraps, gloves for climbing or chalk so the sweat won't make us slip. Stay together and use the pins while we go down to secure a small path, ah Fluffy the III knows how to climb down best and we can follow his instructions. At the bottom there could be caves or something I do not know. Last time I was on Ryloth I didn't see this, I was putting Fluffy in his new home at the northern ridge."

Then she kept walking towards the destination and chirping with the ruttkarr as they went along with a grin while moving her hands to indicate. The canyon was still far off but she spoke. "So does anyone want to ride a Ruttkarr? They are really nice when you talk to them... Lots of jokes and they are large pets you can use as shields in heat storms."

Josh smiled faintly as the Knight backed off, nodding as his attention went to the task at hand. Finally.

Ignoring the idle chatter and listening carefully to the important points, Josh nodded. "If it can get us to where we need to go, I don't see why not"

Vorhi simply smiled and nodded. His skills in archaeology not withstanding he still felt the specifics of what they were looking for was being left out. A temple, a ruin, pottery? Hell, it could be any thing on a planet a topographically screwed up as Ryloth. "Right, so basically, we're looking for any signs of Je'daii stuff from around 25,000 years ago or more," he mused calmly. "At the bottom of a canyon that's never been thoroughly explored in any Rylothian documentation, because Ryloth's weather hates explorers," he said matter-of-factly. He adjusted his hat. "I'll climb down with cable. I trust my own hands pretty well for this sort of thing," he said with a nod. He meant no offense to the local fauna, but he liked climbing, and was pretty used to it.

He wondered what these kids were really after, though. So far, they'd been way too vague about all of this. Then again, maybe they didn't know. "So, the Star Map didn't list anything other than the coordinates? No hints, or legends, or anything?" He inquired playfully. Honestly, he was still wondering what the heck this group was aiming to accomplish here. And why a Star map would send them on a chase like this? It was strange, to say the least.

Jekk Reth

Defensive Specialist
An unheeding nod followed Alestrani's inquiries, clearly displaying the Knight's lack of interest in his questions. Frankly, Jekk could barely be blamed for this. The talk of Star Maps, coordinates, and legends all seemed like gibberish to him. Indeed, he was hardly an archeologist. The vague briefing he'd been provided with didn't exactly help, either. Jekk had been deployed here due to his skills with a blade, not to conversate about ancient civilizations. His gaze turned to @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] and @[member="Leina Snowfire"]. "Perhaps you two are better informed about the contents of said Map? Especially you, Councilor DragonsFlame. I'm sure you know far more than I do."

Leina looked at Vohri as he spoke and she kept walking. "Ah well.... The star map was in the remains of a Tho Yor, Which means the legends were possibly wrong or misinformed. Since no one actually knows what the situation was like back then there could have been so many things. I mean the worlds were very different. It is possible just like how other worlds were changed to better suit the need of worlds. Or the slaves oh oh oh Idea. When we get down there we can totally use some spare datapads to record everything. Je'daii will be so jealous that we might have actually found something while she was made to stay back at the starmap."

Leina kept walking and finally found the canyon as the ruttkarr clicked its mandibles before heading down and she walked over looking. "Whoa is it deep okay, Now the first rule of climbing is safety first, make sure your equipment is secure and take your time. If there is a heat storm the canyon should protect us minorly... Maybe, hopefully. Not really sure imagine if the heat storms were actually created in the canyons? Oh that would not be fun all the burns and blisters. Alright how wants to be a climbing buddy?" Leina moved opening the pack and withdrawing the equipment as she slowly started to dig the pin into the ground. Then did several more to hold the others while securing a harness on her hips.

"Alright now Vohri and me will start heading down, Fluffy III will be able to help me navigate and then follow us as we set up some of the pins to grab. Now remember be careful and ... Ahhhh best you don't look down if you have a queasy stomach or ate food. The vertigo can be intense sometimes and never know what might be down there. Oh there might even be some water snakes so if you see water make sure your very careful they like to wait for their prey to come forward and then -SNAP- they get your face. Just like that -SNAP-. Leina finished and secured the saber on her hip while the ruttkarr started hopping down the canyon. "Chomper will show us the way come on."

Sarianna listened to Leina and then to Vorhi and then to Leina some more... Namely because... It was more enjoyable. Her staff clicking just enough until they came to the edge and she stopped. As the equipment was set up she collapsed her staff and clipped it next to her saberstaff. Then came the gear and she worked slowly fidgeting until it was on and hooked. Her face went towards the others to look checking her equipment namely the leather gloves for fighting but right now they would do for climbing. "I will head down in the second group."
