- Integrated biometric authentication access control system which only allows the designated wielder to activate and wield the blade. The hilt will discharge a potent electrical energy field in the event that the weapon is handled by an unauthorized agent, with the potential to cause severe electrical burn injuries to the victim.

- Versatility: Given the host of special features integrated into their design, the lightsabers are extremely versatile weapons. An ion energy cell in the hilt can be activated to allow the blade to impart an ionic charge upon impact, granting it more potential lethality against droids. Variable power settings can tune the lightsabers' strength from that of a training blade up to slightly above the power of a standard lightsaber. The length of the blade can be adjusted as well, up to three meters. The lightsabers are also capable of maintaining operation underwater.
- EMP and Ion Resistance: The lightsabers have above-average resistance to EMP and Ion effects, though this can depend on the proximity and power quotient of the discharge in question.
- Cortosis: The use of redundant non-dimetris circuitry in the activation loops makes the lightsabers highly resistant to the deleterious effects of cortosis.
- Material Limitations: The blades of the lightsabers have no particular specialized enhancements or amplified power settings that would push them beyond the strength of a normal lightsaber, even with the power adjustment system set to the maximum setting. As such, lightsaber-resistant materials will naturally present a challenge of varying degrees to the weapons, depending on the material in question, its thickness, and a host of other factors.
- Narrow Blade: Owing to the synthesized Byrothsis lens, The lightsabers have a narrow blade, which makes precise reflection of blaster bolts very difficult to execute. However, it is practical to use the lightsabers to bat blaster bolts away in a purely defensive sense, but the weapons are largely ineffective in precisely redirecting bolts back towards their shooter or another specific target.
Originally commissioned by Darth Sris in order to supply her elite personal guard with a high quality, standardized lightsaber, the Jasmine Lightsabers were manufactured by First United Astral Engineering, utilizing technologies developed and utilized in the company’s previous commissioned lightsaber designs. The weapons that would soon be known as the “Jasmine Lightsabers” were issued to members of Darth Sris’ personal guard, with the exception of a few which were kept as spares. Upon Sris' fall on Trian, the lightsabers were "looted" by First Sister, Laertia Io, the Amalgam, and Maple Harte, then were repaired, hacked, and distributed among the group and a few select others.
Like many products produced by First United Astral Engineering, the lightsabers are extremely modular and are constructed with many advanced electronics and specialized features. They are built to be wielded by both Force-sensitive and non-Force-sensitive individuals, offering modularity options tuned for both types of users. Notably, the lightsaber can be connected to a neural interface for non-Force-sensitive wielders, set to a Force control system for Force-sensitive wielders, and/or utilize manual controls. In addition, integrated security features prevent unauthorized agents from wielding the weapon, though these can be bypassed by most competent slicers.
All in all, the Jasmine Lightsabers are built as elegant weapons, for a modern age.
