The Forest Moon of Endor

Endor. The historical location of the Battle of Endor, a battle that ended the oppressive regime of Emperor Palpatine and brought about the fall of the Empire. The Rebels, with the aid of the native Ewoks and guerrilla tactics managed to cause a crippling blow to the Empires presence on the Forest Moon. That was in the past, and this was in the now. The Galactic Alliance was newly formed and just getting off their feet on the galactic scale, and they were going to need a lot more resources to get to that point. That was what brought Daren Silvari out into the open, taking temporary command of the Phantos Science & Exploration Frigate on behalf of the Galactic Alliance and travelling to the moon in search of diplomatic ties to it. The major exports produced by natives on the moon itself were purely foodstuffs and medicinal, both of which were things that the Alliance would never not need. He wasn't the best of politicians, and he was sure that there were others more suited for the task at hand than himself, but he would do what needed to be done for the good of the Alliance.
They were the new hope in the galaxy, and he would see that hope spread to all the corners of the galaxy, hope to battle the hopelessness inspired by the innumerable dark side factions that had risen in the wake of the many catastrophic events that had occurred. The galaxy needed hope, and he would see that the Galactic Alliance was the force to provide that hope. It was time that a new power rose from the debris of the fallen.
Eyes remained forward, and back erect, as he gazed out into the infinite blue funnel that was Hyperspace. He was traveling along the Sanctuary Pipeline, to get to the Forest Moon faster. The empire had built the hyper-lane to allow faster acquisition of materials to build the second Death Star. There wasn't any reason why it should go to waste. So, he had decided to use it both for its ease of access and for the simple fact that he had never truly felt comfortable in ships in the middle of space. It was a long embedded fear of his.
"Governor Silvari," the voice of the Captain of the ship invaded his thoughts and he turned his silver gaze to the man, who continued to speak, "We are approaching Endor, sir. We are expected to arrive within the next few minutes. Preliminary scans have picked up no sign of any enemy vessels in the area, but I would suggest caution to be on the safe side."
"Your suggestions have been noted Captain Gupta. Remain alert as we enter the system and increase power to our scanners, this ship will not hold out long if it is attacked, and I have no desire to die in space."his words were firm, but not unkind. They bore the formality and respect that is driven into any member of the military, and it was something that would always be carried with him. His silver eyes looked over the readings himself as they neared the system, and he noted that the captain had spoken true, their scans were picking up no traces of enemy vessels.
"Dropping out of hyperspace in.. 3...2...1" the human captain had timed his estimations precisely, which impressed Daren in the slightest degree. He had never had a penchant for piloting, yet alone able to predict exact measurements and the such needed to properly navigate the stars. He was far more comfortable on the ground, where he knew he could be more effective. The familiar pull of the ship dropping out of Hyperspace flooded over Daren and made him slightly queasy, gripping onto the railing of the bridge for support as his stomach threatened to loose its contents.
Thankfully, he wouldn't be in space for much longer, "Prepare the transport for departure. Remain vigilant of any threat that may enter the system, and contact me if the scans pick up something. Otherwise, you are free to do as you wish." With his peace being said, Daren headed for the Turbolift that would take him to the Hangar Bay and to the Diligence Class Transport that awaited him and any others that had joined him on this venture.
