Endor. The historical location of the Battle of Endor, a battle that ended the oppressive regime of Emperor Palpatine and brought about the fall of the Empire. The Rebels, with the aid of the native Ewoks and guerrilla tactics managed to cause a crippling blow to the Empires presence on the Forest Moon.

That was in the past, and this was in the now. The Galactic Alliance was newly formed and just getting off their feet on the galactic scale, and they were going to need a lot more resources to get to that point. That was what brought Daren Silvari out into the open, taking temporary command of the Phantos Science & Exploration Frigate on behalf of the Galactic Alliance and travelling to the moon in search of diplomatic ties to it. The major exports produced by natives on the moon itself were purely foodstuffs and medicinal, both of which were things that the Alliance would never not need. He wasn't the best of politicians, and he was sure that there were others more suited for the task at hand than himself, but he would do what needed to be done for the good of the Alliance.

They were the new hope in the galaxy, and he would see that hope spread to all the corners of the galaxy, hope to battle the hopelessness inspired by the innumerable dark side factions that had risen in the wake of the many catastrophic events that had occurred. The galaxy needed hope, and he would see that the Galactic Alliance was the force to provide that hope. It was time that a new power rose from the debris of the fallen.

Eyes remained forward, and back erect, as he gazed out into the infinite blue funnel that was Hyperspace. He was traveling along the Sanctuary Pipeline, to get to the Forest Moon faster. The empire had built the hyper-lane to allow faster acquisition of materials to build the second Death Star. There wasn't any reason why it should go to waste. So, he had decided to use it both for its ease of access and for the simple fact that he had never truly felt comfortable in ships in the middle of space. It was a long embedded fear of his.

"Governor Silvari," the voice of the Captain of the ship invaded his thoughts and he turned his silver gaze to the man, who continued to speak, "We are approaching Endor, sir. We are expected to arrive within the next few minutes. Preliminary scans have picked up no sign of any enemy vessels in the area, but I would suggest caution to be on the safe side."

"Your suggestions have been noted Captain Gupta. Remain alert as we enter the system and increase power to our scanners, this ship will not hold out long if it is attacked, and I have no desire to die in space."his words were firm, but not unkind. They bore the formality and respect that is driven into any member of the military, and it was something that would always be carried with him. His silver eyes looked over the readings himself as they neared the system, and he noted that the captain had spoken true, their scans were picking up no traces of enemy vessels.

"Dropping out of hyperspace in.. 3...2...1" the human captain had timed his estimations precisely, which impressed Daren in the slightest degree. He had never had a penchant for piloting, yet alone able to predict exact measurements and the such needed to properly navigate the stars. He was far more comfortable on the ground, where he knew he could be more effective. The familiar pull of the ship dropping out of Hyperspace flooded over Daren and made him slightly queasy, gripping onto the railing of the bridge for support as his stomach threatened to loose its contents.

Thankfully, he wouldn't be in space for much longer, "Prepare the transport for departure. Remain vigilant of any threat that may enter the system, and contact me if the scans pick up something. Otherwise, you are free to do as you wish." With his peace being said, Daren headed for the Turbolift that would take him to the Hangar Bay and to the Diligence Class Transport that awaited him and any others that had joined him on this venture.

Helping with a diplomatic mission? Not on Rook's life.

Except sometimes you needed to do the things you did not enjoy. They were often the most necessary, and the alliance had a need for political ties here and there. He certainly wasn't going to be doing any of the talking; Rook was here to look tough. He had big armor, and a big gun. That tended to help diplomacy along in most cases. If Mister Silvari were to be threatened, the former Dreadguard would be here to help. If not, then he was going to enjoy his vacation from crusade against the Final Order.

It was good work, but gods was it tiring.

He awaited near the Diligence transport. The bridge was not the kind of place for a marine. He'd leave all that osik to the Navy men, and it was quite likely he wouldn't be allowed aboard the bridge anyone. Sure he'd been taken on as a part of [member="Coren Starchaser"]'s little dream team, and made a bit of a name for himself with the GA in the process, but he was still technically a Specialist. He was used to that sort of treatment though. The Dreadguard were always relegated to their own quarters on navy ships.

So far as the Republic, the Reformation, and the Architects were concerned, they were barely considered sentient.

"Governor," he tilted his head forward in greeting as the man of the hour made himself present, "I'll be here to make sure no one with an itchy trigger finger decides to say hello. My name's Rook, and I assure you, my success rate is very, very high." He cracked a well-meaning grin, and slipped on his helmet, "I'm also house-trained, I can do tricks, and on a good day I might sing for you."

A pause.

"Happy to be escorting you, sir."

Mya stood in her quarters, looking through her files at what they were trying to accomplish. It was much like what she had been doing on behalf of Susefvi for quite some time. Secure resources, foster trade agreements, and build goodwill among other cultures. Leading the expedition was [member="Daren Silvari"]. He seemed good enough at this job, and not like those Republic senators who may as well have been aristocrats. Coming from a background of hauling cargo, she certainly did not trust them. This Galactic Alliance seemed more suited that way. Less political elites and more people who understood how politics affected others.

She adjusted her outfit, nothing fancy here, just simple linen clothes of greens and browns. She knew the story of how Leia was found by Ewoks and she was working to lean on that connection, assuming such a thing would still exist in the current Endor political situation, whatever it might be.

Jedi Knight Adele Adonnai had come along with the Galactic Alliance Expedition to give support. While she was no diplomat nor a frontliner, the Jedi Healer had interest in learning more about the series of planets that they would be exploring. She had never personally set foot on Endor, and her studies while aiding the Jedi Order's Archivist gave her an inkling that coming to a discussion with the natives could prove beneficial.

She was adept at using traditional means of healing for wounded, and her use of the Force to the same end was negligible. She would not be the most blessed or powerful in that regard, but the traditionalist Iridonian would seek out how to consistently improve. For the moment, she would wander the halls of the ship, and perhaps meet with others were they so inclined.

The descent through the levels of the Phantos Frigate - the ship really needed a name - was quick and relatively painless. By the time the lift had reached the hangar bay, Daren had regained his 'land legs' and was able to walk with a fairly average gait. He nodded to each individual that stopped to acknowledge his presence in the hangar, he was a superior after all, but he did not speak. This wasn't done out of spite or superiority, it was more out of the fact that his own nerves were on end. This would be his first, and depending on how things went - possibly his last, diplomatic mission on behalf of the Galactic Alliance to the planet of Endor.

The Alliance had gathered quite the following, and pending their various skirmishes against the Final Order, and the current Primeval skirmish, they would likely need the exports offered by the native Ewok tribes. He had it in his mind to make for Bright Tree Village, a clan that was known for its part in defeating the Empire on the forest moon, and aiding the Rebels with guerrilla tactics. That, and they had knowledge of medicines that could be useful to the Alliance, and it wouldn't hurt that another major export was foodstuffs. All of these things were hinged on whether or not Daren had the guile and persuasive abilities to achieve the aid of the Ewok people.

And, as if that wasn't enough stress on his mind, word had reached him of a galaxy wide threat issued by another Sith - a direct threat to the Republic, made plain and evident. He wasn't a part of the Republic, but he had friends there that he still worried for. Maybe, that was the driving force he needed to push himself to achieve the desired outcome of this mission, if he didn't achieve it - well, he preferred not to think of the negatives.

He was pulled from his train of thought when another man spoke to him. The tall man seemed familiar, daren had previously read the personnel files on those that had joined him on his mission, but he couldn't seem to recall the big mans name. He smiled politely at the man, who towered above him and was quite well 'filled' in terms of musculature and gruffness. He was glad to have the man on his side to say the least.

Silver eyes glanced up and nodded in turn before he began to speak, "It's just Daren, marine." he never liked titles, even if it was one that befitted his station, he preferred a much more personal basis, it provided for better relations with those he came in contact with - gods knew that he wasn't a people person at best, so he needed the personal factor.

Rook!

That was the mans name, a former dread guard member, if he had read correctly. He would certainly be valuable on the field, if only in the combat capacity. He certainly made him feel a little safer about his chances of succeeding in this mission.

"It is an honor to meet the famous Rook, sir." a little bit of formality was needed, he supposed. And, a genuine smirk crossed his features as the man finished his introduction, to which his comment was, "Let's hold the singing for the natives, eh? House trained is certainly useful, makes things easier on my end." his tone was joking, clear that he wasn't an uptight political person. He hated politics, but he just didn't have the means to get back on the field anymore, he had seen enough death in his time in the Republic Military.

"Happy to hear that, Rook. Please, just call me Daren." he smiled before looking away from the man to see if any of the others had joined Rook and himself in the hangar bay. As of yet, there was no one, so after the next round of posts - the story would progress to Endor and the action could begin.

Apologies for the length of time between posting. I wanted to see if anyone else would have the inclination to join as well, but I figured six days was long enough. Others can join in as they see fit, so long as it's made realistically possible.

Time had come for their departure down to the Forest Moon. Mya took a deep breath and pulled on her pack. There were others who could technically carry it for her, but she hated that part of the job. She'd spent years cleaning her own ship's head for Force's sake. Let her carry her own bag. She strode from her quarters and down to the hangar where she could see [member="Daren Silvari"] and [member="Rook"] standing and joking around. That was good. They seemed like competent leaders to have involved in this mission.

"Hello, gentlemen," She said breezily, "All things ready for this mission?"

As far as she could determine, she certainly was. That certainly left things to the unexpected though. Best to keep a sharp mind in preparation for what those might be.

Taking a deep breath, the Iridonian female would rise from her perch and set out on her own. Idle hands were of the Dark, and she had to keep herself busy. Be it through meditation or through study, she always seemingly had to be doing something productive. It was just how the Jedi Knight seemingly worked.

It was either with the Circle of Healers or at the archives. For now, this expedition trip would be one of growing knowledge. Perhaps she could discover just how far away they were from their objective and what the plan was once they landed. She still had to catch up on what was known about the moon as well.

Rook would have responded immediately to Sylvari, were it that [member="Adele Adonai"] had not crossed his path. The soldier was not good at hiding his wandering eyes. His gaze trailed after the woman as she passed by, and then snapped forward. "That one's gorgeous." He mumbled so that the governor alone could hear. It took him a moment to get his head straight, but he managed. "And eh, yeah, singing. I'm sure they'll love it Daren." He snickered, reaching up to hold one of the handrails above. On short flights like this, Rook was not a fan of sitting. "Wouldn't really consider myself famous though. Less than you, anyway. I just have a pretty face and a starling personality."

"All set. Think we're about to set off. No in-flight move, I'm afraid," he grinned, "I figure we'll have a good time of it anyhow." He shrugged, reaching down to check his datapad. He'd expected news on the Ge'hutuun -- unfortunately that was not the case. Just another article on how great the Galactic Alliance military was. Rook was all for morale, but he was never a fan of the big publicity campaigns people put out, even if they were for an organization he was already happily a member of.

"Shall we?"

The Jedi Knight finally came into the open area where the rest of the exploration team now stood at. They were huddled together, conversing. Were one to glance at her direction, she would quietly dip her head in a nod as a greeting.

"I am Jedi Knight A'dele Adonnai, of the Circle of Healers at the New Jedi Order." quite a mouthful, but it would explain her purpose and the reason she was her. "I am here to assist in any manner I can, along with conducting research on the moon of Endor for medicinal purposes." she told them, her voice a quiet murmur in the room.
