Hard disagree with this concept. It didn’t go well the last time, absolutely not from me. People use it in a negative way.
People use it in a negative way.
I don't think that's a productive attitude to have when it's a pressing issue on the site for many people and for many writers, and for some overtly stated reasons of why people have left Chaos after being here for years.Time to move on.
| Faction | Wins | Losses |
| TSO | 3 | 1 |
| THR | 3 | 2 |
| TSC | 2 | 2 |
| etc... |

Yes.Do you think that people are better off being kept in the dark about decision-making like they are currently? We have people leaving the site for a lack of transparency, I think that calls for some discussion even if the head admin made a stance already.
It isn't that deep bro. Let it go. And it can't be that pressing to only come up this infrequently.I don't think that's a productive attitude to have when it's a pressing issue on the site for many people and for many writers, and for some overtly stated reasons of why people have left Chaos after being here for years.
There's a lot of truth in this. And I'm tiered of seeing writers chased off the site.
How can we fix this?
Are people against letting the dice decide the results at the end?
I feel in general, many major factions have amazing writers and tell great stories - so it would be impossible to judge a 'winner.' I feel for you, staff. Would also be curious to see in the last year or two stats on factions (still around today) for #s on invasion wins/losses. If there are rumblings of 'unfairness' that could potentially prove or disprove a point.
Like:
Faction Wins Losses TSO 3 1 THR 3 2 TSC 2 2 etc...
But that's the girl who loves stats/math in me. IDGAF to actually do this. Just a suggestion for the complaints on 'ppl already think staff are bias.'
Overall, I, as a writer, care more about the story and theater of the mind. There's a lot of good character growth and drama with losses.
I’m not saying this happens… but when Tef rolled out this new system he explained that if it came down to a coin flip that was fine.
Now, here’s the other thing no one is saying.
Some Sith faction wins…
Someone not from some Sith Faction asks… why did we lose?
It’s like clockwork.
When summaries were a thing MFOs:
1. stressed about getting them in on time
2. actively looked for drama so they try to sway that category
Site Staff:
1. had to read them
2. had to write them which could be boiled down to… faction A wrote a better story than faction B
The context of the post you have decided to latch onto seems to make it seem like staff is bullying people off the site. That’s so laughable, and isn’t even the point of this thread. That kind of accusation serves no one.

There is also no accusation. I know people who have left and have told me the reasons they have left.
I think this is a poor representation of many people's arguments and also not very constructive. That's speculating on people's reactions to things that have not happened, and accusatory that the people here are emotionally immature to handle being told "no".And you guys think you could handle being told you lost an invasion with several explanations as to.
Have you never disagreed with your boss and laid out why you think they can do better?I think the majority of this thread post staff saying no is indicative of an inability to accept a decision.
God forbid if it was a detailed invasion decision breakdown.
It's coincided, or at least, a part of the problem that I've seen festering in Chaos the last few months and years now, even. I think the return of transparency would alleviate other people's concerns with trust in the site staff.A problem… but not one this thread is trying to solve.
God forbid if it was a detailed invasion decision breakdown.
The invasion court of appeals must've been a warzone
I would suggest site staff host a poll asking if the community are unhappy with how invasions are right now. Cut through any debates or red tape and produce a number of how many people there are who feel like this. If there is big number of people unhappy with invasions then telling the community nothing will change isn't sufficient. If it is a small number of people then they can be told to kick rocks.
