LFG Interest Check: Lovecraftian Horror

I have seen the dark universe yawning. I have seen the black planets that roll without meaning or purpose or name.

The planet Seline was once an outpost of the Gree Empire, a full sector away from the planets of the modern-day Gree Enclave. In those ancient days, however, distance was irrelevant. Citizens of the Empire could step into one of their people's Hypergates and be whisked almost instantly to a destination that would take a starship days to reach. But the secret of the Hypergates was lost when the Gree fell into decline, and even the case dedicated to their maintenance forgot how to use them. Attempting to activate them became dangerous, for an improperly-calibrated Hypergate could find dark and twisted destinations where ancient, hungry things waited.

Seline lies just beyond the Sith Imperial border world of Sernpidal, in a lawless region outside the control of any major power. Not far away is the planet Xo, home of the Zanibar cannibals, who worship their dark gods through ritual sacrifice. Now a high priest among the Zanibar, strong in the Dark Side of the Force, has received a vision from beyond. He has come to believe that he can contact the gods through Seline's long-dormant hypergates... if enough blood is spilled and dark energy harnessed. Nearby colonies and convoys have suddenly vanished, kidnapped by the Zanibar as sacrificial victims whose deaths will bring glorious communion.

But the horrific being that the Zanibar are working to bring through the gate is beyond what even their twisted minds can imagine...

Hey, folks! In the spirit of drumming up more roleplay in the Tyrant's Verge, the strip of territory between the Sith Empire and the edge of the galaxy, I thought it might be fun to combine two of my favorite obscure Star Wars things: the Zanibar and the concept of Gree Hypergates gone wrong, as portrayed in SWTOR's "Terror From Beyond" operation. There should be plenty for both lightsiders and darksiders to sink their teeth into here, and characters of all sorts are very welcome! I'm also working to keep the Verge Flotilla active, so this is part faction thread and part wide-open writing experience in the style of the old Treasure Hunt threads.

Before I put too much more work into it, though, or sub any participation rewards... are there people who'd like to participate?

Every time something Lovecraftian comes up on this site I just have to do it. Count me extremely in.

If you want Lovecraft, I'm your guy! Based the entire character of Gatlin around the idea of a vague theme of cosmic horror, but more so, I've been obsessed with HP Lovecraft and the authors that have taken inspiration from him. From the King in Yellow, the Dunwich Horror, and plenty of low name one time writers, if you want someone that knows Lovecraft, I be he.

Normally I dislike bragging about myself, but if there's one genre I've followed extensively, it would be Lovecraftian/Cosmic/Existentialist Horror. It's something I think I can personally write quite well if I am given the headspace to.

While I'm not sure if Gatlin would be a good fit, I have a few other characters, it really depends on which side of the coin you need represented. Honestly, I would love to be involved, I'm going to stop before I start repeating myself, but you may or may not have just made my entire day, so sorry for sounding too excited.
