In the Marshes [Training Mission] [Republic]

"Exiting hyperspace in fifteen minutes." Tallia said over the ship's intercom. "Be sure to strap yourselves in for re-entry." She eased back in her chair and took a deep breath. She had volunteered to organize a trip for padawans to the mid-rim planet of Obredaan. It seemed like just yesterday that she had been in a similar situation as the padawans in the back of the shuttle. Eagerly waiting to arrive and experience something new. But that had been a year ago, and the things that had happened to her between then and now still made her head spin. She had nearly been killed twice, almost frozen to death on Illum crafting her lightsaber, fought in warzones, been promoted to knighthood, and now she had a padawan. She really hoped that things would start to slow down soon.

Valx sat in his seat, next to @[member="Akodya Mune"], meditating. He was still upset about the incident with his head a few months ago, but his Force powers had returned for the most part. After having all this angst against Akodya, his master, @[member="Tallia Farn"], thought it might be a good idea to embark on this training exercise as a team. He was kind of nervous about this as he had not done much since his injury.

He turned to Akodya, "Are you ready," He asked monotonously.

He sensed the ship slowing down and could hear a few of the fellow padawan's breathing. He tried to focus, and remain calm even though he was totally excited. Valx felt for his guard shotos and grabbed them, knowing he'd need them in the coming minutes. He didn't know much about what they were doing here aside from finding a holocron hidden somewhere on the planet.

As a female voice hummed through the ship's intercom Akodya immediately tightened her seat's belt as the vessel appeared in front of a unfamiliar world. She peered discreetly out the window at the planet's greenish-grey surface before turning back to face forward, uninterested. She had done her research on the planet Obredaan before departure. It was a moist, marshy world with various beasts that weren't so welcoming, as well as unforgiving murky water that were alive with creatures that wouldn't hesitate to pull you under. Solid ground was scarce, and when you fond it was clocked in dense forestry. It was one heck of a field trip alright. She focused on keeping calm and level headed, hoping that if she was mentally prepped early that she'd maintain it for the exercise.

Shifting her gaze across the room Akodya was delighted to see some familiar faces also undergoing the training. Her friend @[member="Nala Tu"] had also signed up, which put her more at ease. She'd trained and been on a few missions with her before, and knew she was a excellent Jedi. Another was @[member="Valx Raizod"], who Akodya was less happy to see, and even less so to have him sitting next to her. The pair had never really been on good terms with each other, and tended to avoid confrontation if possible. So naturally, there masters thought it would be a great idea to pair them up as a team.

"As ready as I can be at this point." She replied to his comment with a cold tone of voice, not even turning to face Valx as she spoke.

The young corellian remained seated in the shuttle as the ship was about to leave hyperspace. Looking at the chair's seat belt, he touched the buckle in the end to make sure that it was properly set. Once that he was sure, the just waited patiently in his seat and looked around.

This wasn't the first time that he was tasked to join in a mission with other Padawans, if he could count right, it was the third... or forth? Within the time in the Order, he has seen more war and battles than the times he spent in the Republic Military as a contractor, almost mercenary.

Looking closely at the padawans in the mission, he noticed that, within the Padawans, he just knew @[member="Aronis Vilgar"] , a promising young man that fought with him in the battle at Nar Shadaa. With a polite nod, he saluted the man but remained silent the whole time, as usual.

He actually knew more Knights than Padawans, for different situations and missions, but in the end, Vex would end up knowing all of them in one way or another.

The mission details were unknown to him, based on the information provided, he just knew that he had to go along @[member="Rasu Gan"] , a female member of the Order training with... Who is she training with? Thought the man, he didn't really know, it was more a rhetorical more than anything...

Patiently, the young man waited until they were at the location and for further instructions, afterall, there was nothing he could do at the moment other than wait.

@[member="Tallia Farn"]

Sochi sat calmly, and patiently in her seat next to her team member and friend @[member="Nala Tu"] . It was exciting yes, they had just been training together recently, and now they were working together once more. The ship was filled with multiple padawans, some she had seen around the temple, and others she had sadly not. She didn't know any of them other than Nala, which was probably a good thing, because she was with someone she was familiar with. She looked over at @[member="Akodya Mune"], and smiled at her, quickly to be followed by the voice of the master that sponsored this trip to come over the ships intercom. It was fifteen minutes before they exited hyperspace. Sochi strapped herself in. She sat calmly, and professionally in her seat. Her hands interlocked; sitting on her lap. Her legs were covered by a long, flowing, brown colored skirt that hid her legs. All of which were covered by her Jedi robe. Her lightsaber was slightly visible underneath her outer robe.

"I'm pretty sure this is going to be a great experience, much fun to be had." She said softly turning to Nala, while simultaneously smiling. Although she was excited, Sochi remained professional, she at all times upheld the Jedi Code, and most of its tenets. Some might say she focused on them entirely too much, but being familiar with them, and actually practicing them were important to her, and that's what made a great Jedi in her mind.

Nala had been very excited to be on a group mission with a number of padawans. This was the first real time she'd done anything like it and was growing more and more happy to know that this missions would have her with her newest friend, @[member="Sochi Ru"]. While she was a bit upset that she wasn't with @[member="Akodya Mune"], whom she'd been friends with longer, it gave her comfort to know that at least Akodya wouldn't feel that badly about it and it gave her the chance to better acquaint herself with her own partner for the mission @[member="Valx Raizod"]. She looked over to Akodya and gave a little wave to show she was glad to have her with on the mission before hearing Master @[member="Tallia Farn"] speak over the intercom.

She strapped in while hearing what Sochi said before saying "Yeah, as fun as this is though I wish they'd have let me pilot. I having been behind a ships controls in a long time and I just love to fly." she sighed and said "It's nothing. Maybe I can convince Master Farn to let me fly on the way back." she smirked at the idea.

Vulpesen smiled happily and sat back in his seat, watching the padawans. He himself had just come out of that rank, and he wore the title of Knight proudly as he prepared for landing. He always enjoyed group missions, and this being one of his firsts since his promotion, he was eager for it to begin. His hand drifted down to the main hilt of Tenebris Anime, tracing along the scaly design. As he did so, he could sense the crystals within and welcomed their presence. A single meditation crystal had started all of this, and now it was one of the greatest reminders of how far he'd come.

Vulpesen's eyes surveyed the shuttle's passenger cabin, casting glances over his friends. This would be entertaining indeed, especially since he was a part of it. If there was one thing Vulpesen would always be counted to do on a mission, it was finding someway to add some excitement, though it did help that danger seemed to follow him most places he went. However, hopefully this time the danger would leave him alone. At least, that was his hope.

Valx sighed and looked away, resting his hand against the armrest. He was already regretting this decision to undergo this mission. To make matters worse he had to go with @[member="Akodya Mune"] who was going to make this extremely difficult. As they progressed, Valx had hoped that they'd bond and get over their childish anger. But, so far she had not given him much to work with, so he'd try to engage her in conversation.

"Akodya, we need to work together on this..." Valx said finally, breaking the tension between them.

He unlatched his seat belt, reaching up and feeling around for a hand hold. He just couldn't sit still any longer. Valx wiped his colorless eyes and pulled his white hood over his head. He had no idea what to expect from the planets surface. Marshy, he was told, but he had never seen or been to a swamp before, so he had nothing to go off of. He'd be relying heavily on Akodya for this one...

Akodya remained still, with perfect posture and her lips pressed in a straight line. She caught sight of @[member="Nala Tu"] giving her a little wave and her partner @[member="Sochi Ru"] smiling in her direction. The human responded with a stiff nod and a tiny smile, knowing Nala would understand why she was so quiet at this point, as she had told the kamionan countless times how irritatingly stubborn the blind padawan was. Her hands that were folded neatly in her lap clinched into fists when Valx tried to spark a conversation.

"I know that, Valx. That is what 'team' implies. I am willing to be civil if you are." She answered, turning so her hazel eyes met his milky ones.

It wasn't that she hated @[member="Valx Raizod"], but more of the fact that the grudge he had been holding against her was only just beginning to fade. Even after she spent weeks tending to him while he was in a coma, she can't even remember if he had even thanked her. He'd made it obvious enough that he disliked her, and now he had the nerve to play the peacemaker. Akodya felt her muscles tense as her back straightened. Swallowing back frustration as the male padawan pulled his hood over his head. "Are you going to be able to manage the foreign terrain?" She asked slowly, referring to his sight. She was still very confused on how the Valx was able to 'see' things through the force. Up to this point Akodya just figured it was like how Miraluka's used the force, but she still struggled to grasp the concept.

There was a surge as the shuttle exited hyperspace and settled into orbit around Obredaan. Tallia sat up from her seat at the control panel and moved toward the aft section of the ship. She took a moment to compose herself and calm in the force, putting up a neutral, unreadable wall in her presence. The door slid open and she walked briskly into the cabin, but stayed silent for a split second as she observed her padawan, Valx Raizod, sitting next to Akodya Mune. She sensed the level of disdain they both seemed to have for each other. She smirked as she thought about the incident in the training hall. It had been no accident grouping those two together, she had seen to it personally. Hopefully they would at least learn to respect one another while they were down there.

"Ok everyone, now that we're here, it's time for your first test." Tallia said leaning against the wall in her flight suit. "If you'll follow me to the escape pod bay, we can begin."

Tallia strode over to a hatch off to the side and headed through, waiting for the padawans to follow.

Valx shrugged and followed his master to the pod bay. He could only see the outlines of objects, but recently, he'd also somehow gained the ability to "see" sound--as in a visual soundwave. They were finally getting underway with the assignment and his anxiety was subsiding.

"I'll need you to be my eyes. I can generally see most things, but not in fine detail." Valx said to @[member="Akodya Mune"].

This was where the fun began. He had speculated at what it was that was going to happen and he guessed they were going to board the pods with preset flight coordinates in the general area where the holocron was. The planet was hostile in terms of fauna and flora, so they'd need to use extreme caution while down on the surface. Valx turned to face Akodya as his piercing pale eyes stared unknowingly at hers. Some field trip...

After coming out of hyperspace, the Knight piloting the ship finally showed herself. She seemed like a strong Knight and a presence that would stand out in any room, but still; her demeanor was unknown at the corellian seated and fully strapped to the chair.

With a commanding, yet calmned voice; the female Jedi asked all of them to follow her to the escape pods... for a test... The word was received by the man with a slight frown, he was not sure why they were going to be tested. Were they failing in their training? Perhaps they were missing some important details about the Force and had to be refined?

Vexander unstrapped himself from the chair and eventually began to follow the girl to the location where they would receive instructions... still, the young man didn't say a word and just limited himself to listen and assest the situation further.

To say she was the runt of the group would be saying the least. Miri simply sat in her own personal space braiding her hair, most would probably judge her for being superficial but in all honesty she was nervous. She didn't even know how she ended up on this ship as she was meant to go on a basic mission with a mentor and apparently took a wrong turn. Every jedi here looked prepared compared to her; she didn't know how to feel about her relative weakness but someone had to grow strong enough to face the monster her brother had become.

Miri looked up at @[member="Tallia Farn"] as she announced that they would be landing soon. Which caused Miri to wonder for the first time through-out this whole trip to this planet. Where the kark was she?

Rasu hadn't said a word the entire trip, which was very strange of her in these sort of situations. In the form of a Mirialan, Rasu sat in her seat calmly, playing with her fingers to distract herself. The group of Padawan's had become extremely restless during the long hyperspace jump, but once the Knight piloting the shuttle, @[member="Tallia Farn"], came to greet them, everyone sat upright, all eyes directed at her. Sitting next to Rasu, was another Padawan, @[member="Vexander Graves"], if she recalled correctly. On this mission Vexander and Rasu would be working as a team, and the Shi'ido Jedi was very eager to work with the young man. The female Knight departed the passenger compartment and continued on to the escape pod bay, ordering the young Jedi to follow her. Walking beside Vexander, Rasu worked up the courage to speak to him. "Are you nervous?" she asked looking up at him. "We've got experience on our side either way. You have your military training and I have my forty years of studying techniques and perfected lightsaber forms. We'll make a good team, a force to be reckoned with." she added, gripping her lightsaber to stop her hands from shaking.

Tallia stepped inside the lowly lit room and turned to face the padawans that had trailed in behind her. Almost every single one of them looked at least a year older than her. But what she lacked in physical maturity she made up for in field experience.

"Ok, as you know, this training exercise is fairly straightforward. Your objective is to find one of the holocrons we have hidden on the surface and bring it back to the shuttle once it's landed." She motioned to the left and right. "Your going to get to the surface in escape pods. Each one's heads-up display is programmed with a beacon that will lead you into the general vicinity of your group's holocron. Other than that, you'll be flying blind." She watched for their reactions.

"All of the major instrument panels have been stripped off these craft, so take it slow on your descent and watch out for the swamps."

She chuckled at Nala's response, "Im sure she wouldn't mind you flying on the way back." She smiled as she smirked, while looking off again at the passengers. They were a pretty unique bunch, even had a couple of knights in the bunch. It was nice to be amongst peers, who knows what we could all learn from one another. They were greeted by the knight who was leading the group, she had came into the cabin as if she wanted to say something, but was silent for a moment. Her eyes were locked on the ones @[member="Valx Raizod"] and @[member="Akodya Mune"] . The to of them did seem to have just a little tension, but it wasn't any of Sochi's business. Instead she kept her composure, and focused on the task at hand. Within time they were finally addressed by @[member="Tallia Farn"] ,she spoke of some type of test, which surprised Sochi. There was a test already? Nevertheless Ru un strapped her belt, and rose from her seat, and calmly followed behind the woman. She was directly behind @[member="Vexander Graves"]. It was best if she didn't say anything, or question it. Somehow it was all apart of their training.

@[member="Rasu Gan"] @[member="Miri Shorn"] @[member="Vulpesen"] @[member="Nala Tu"]

After hearing Masterb@[member="Tallia Farn"] give her brief of the training missions, Nala simply nodded in understanding what they would have to go through. She rose with the others after unstrapping her belt and followed at the very back, not wanting to obstruct anyone's view given her height. Once they were at the escape pods Nala jumped into the one @[member="Sochi Ru"] was in and prepared herself.

"If this is how Jedi train, I'd just love to see what they do for vacations." she joked to Suchi to try and reassure her of the situation, even thought she was probably as nervous as her.

Jessie had been quiet the entire time, no real need to chime in until it was needed and he had learned that from his master Sky. Hell just laying there he remained relaxed and kept his hands clasped behind his head. Then they were all speaking and moving and he rolled over giving a yawn while his hand went through his hair. He might have needed to shave later on but that wasn't a matter yet no looking around and listening to the one leading the group he just breathed in a little offering a smile. No saber and no shirt under his robes. "Well now britches, we going to have some fun or what?"

Akodya's attention was now on the instructor for the mission, Jedi Knight @[member="Tallia Farn"], and Valx's master. As Master Tallia directed them towards the escape pods, the padawans automatically formed a line as they moved. With @[member="Valx Raizod"] in front of her, she struggled to get a better look at some of the other Jedi students on the trip. Besides the padawan's she already knew of there were a few others she hadn't met before. There was a girl with red hair that she had been braiding quietly the whole time they had been in hyperspace. Although they had never spoken, Akodya knew her name was @[member="Miri Shorn"]. There was also a padawan who looked older then herself, with dark hair and a unshaven chin. Trying to make small talk with him was a female mirialan who's name she didn't know.

while the small band of padawans strolled down to the pods, Valx turned to her and answered her earlier question. "Define fine detail?" she hissed quietly, annoyed by his rather vague response. Silence fell upon the group again when Farn explained the situation to the group. How on earth were they to find a solid place to land in all the marsh? As she chewed on the instructions another Jedi knight emerged. Shirtless and weaponless, @[member="Jessie Volt"] grinned at the padawans. Akodya, turned her head away, finding it a bit...unprofessional to be half naked like that.

@[member="Rasu Gan"] @[member="Vexander Graves"]

Tallia was showing padawans to there escape pods when she heard @[member="Jessie Volt"]'s comment. Turned around and put her hands on her hips, smirking back at him. "I'm pretty sure fun wasn't labeled on the brochure." She quipped. "But if it's "fun" you want, I'm sure I can find something for you to do."

She turned back to the padawans, looking at all of them. It was then that she noticed something out of place. A red-headed girl, Tallia remembered her name was Miri, wasn't on her list, so she hadn't assigned her a partner. "Excuse me padawan @[member="Miri Shorn"] do you have a partner yet?"
