Invasion I'm On A Boat [OS-Republic Invasion of Manaan]

Melkaroth, having received his orders, quickly relayed them to his crew. "Helm, move to the starboard flank of the fleet, comms, signal the Genjix to go Starboard." as the engines slowly moved the mammoth ship into position, Melkaroth began to prepare to attack. "I need a composition report of that enemy fleet; I want it done before we're in position." As the Dark Blade lumbered on, the scanners identified each ship of the enemy fleet. Melkaroth noted that the number of enemy fighters was very low relative to the One Sith's fleet, meaning that bombing runs by their great carriers as well as boarding actions could be undertaken without great losses. This, however, was not his concern. Long-range fire support was his duty as the commander of a dreadnought, but he decided that he may as well pass on the knowledge he had gained.

"Relay this report to the rest of the fleet. Signal Lord Zambrano: initial analysis indicates that enemy fighter cover is lacking. Proceed as you will."

The guns were fully charged. The sky was filling with targets as landing craft swarmed down to the surface. He saw a transport (unbeknownst to him it held [member="Nick Gamastar"]) cutting across his path on its decent. He let off a long burst strafing the large hull as he shot past. He didnt bother checking to see how much he had damaged it, nor did he turn around to attack again. He emerged from the atmosphere. Scanners were lit up with more targets than his computers could track. Then he saw it...the fleet. Keanu had never seen any assemblage that large before. His eye fell upon the Immortal and his heart sank. This would be a blood bath. "Flight control, this is Chatter, Im planning on engaging now." He would employ an old tactic he had learned form a former commander. He was separated from the fleet by the enemy fleet. Flanking around to the side of the fleet he dove headlong into the advancing ranks of fighters, guns blazing. The Sith Fighters would have noticed a lone fighter hurtling towards their ranks.

Summary: A lone fighter separated from the fleet has flanked the fleet and engaged the fighters by himself.

As bodies crammed into the drop ship, he listened intently as Reverance barked orders. No, that wasn't right. He didn't bark anything. In fact, it was quite the opposite. He spoke in an almost normal voice, only raised slightly so that he could be heard above the roar of the ship. Like the rest of the Sith Lords, especiallyduring this invasion, he simply said and it was done. The ship rocked slightly and Logan was forced to grab onto a rung that hung from the roof of the ship. He made sure he was stabilized before he loosened his grip and gave himself one final pat down out of pure habit. He squated as best he could without disturbing those around him and tightened any straps that he might find loose. Although he didn't seem to find any loose, he tightened them all a bit more so that he didn't feel obligated to stop as often to check.

He pulled his DL-18 Blaster Pistol from its holster and checked to make sure it was in good condition and ready to be used at a moments notice. HE figured that although the Pubs might not have had time to gather an army, they would definitely meet some resistance once they were planet side. Across his back he had his rifle. Funny, he thought to himself. Pub rifle to take pub lives. He chuckled to himself before he moved on through his mental checklist. The thermals were still in their pouch, the hilt of the standardized light saber still on his hip. His suit had power, and although he couldn't test the Jetpack know, his visual display said it was ready to go. He looked down to his wrist and checked the small screen that was built into his suit. The light, probably from [member="Cryax Bane"] or another Raven, but he didn't have the time for that right now.

Images of his past flowed through his mind, sending him into a fit of rage as they always did before a fight he knew was coming. The countless shootings, stabbings and beatings had left him with more than physical scars. They had left more than their fair share of emotional ones. It was this anger, this rage, that drove him to fight as ferociously and wildly as he did without any sense of well being for himself. He had been through enough, and if he was to die, it would be at the hands of more than enough capable enemies. But that wasn't the damn pubs.

Luminara leaned lazily against the walls of the ship, watching small tendrils of violet lightning jump between the fingers of her left hand. She wore light armor (profile picture), as she normally did for skirmishes and missions. The atmosphere was thick with adrenaline and blood-lust. Though, she appeared perfectly at-ease. In fact, she was smiling. This was the kind of thing that she considered a field trip. She was excited to get started after months of doing the same boring things all the time. Her red-gold eyes glanced around at her comrades, alight with a giddiness that only she could portray. "Let me just tell everyone now. If you bring me a head, I'll bring you two."

"A very good answer, my apprentice," Taeli said, watching the Cornet retreat heavily damaged. Bringing up the enemy composition that her fellow Sith Knight had transmitted, Taeli took his advice and had her ship take up a defensive position on the starboard side of the Immortal.

"All batteries, begin long-range harassment fire and keep a close eye for enemy fighter craft, they are not to get near the Immortal," she ordered, settling into the command chair on the bridge. They would need to wipe out every last Republic ship in the system, reinforcements would be arriving once the Republic could muster a response force. Green flashes from their long-rang turbolasers began streaking through space towards the Republic picket line. The battle was now truly beginning, she wondered how the other Sith were doing on the surface.

"Inform Lord Zambrano and Lady Ayra we are fully prepared to engage and await further orders," she said from the seat.

Xilo couldn't be more anxious participating in his first invasion with the Sith numerous Vong surrounded him wearing their armor, but Xilo had forgone the armor instead he checked over his Verpine Sniper rifle that had been one of the last things he grabbed so he could watch over Alpha team. In case those Selkath got to jumpy and tried something, on his hip was a Sd-77 sonic pistol. On the opposite hip sat a standard blaster pistol. Xilo had stocked up on as many Vong weapons as he was able to carry with him all clipped here and there on his body. He had taken some razor and thud bugs mainly because of their effectiveness, but also because he wanted something that he could retrieve. In his lap sat the Tsaisi Magnus that he had taken as a weapon since he still wasn’t versed in saber combat, but he had never been warned about the pain it caused when it drained the life force from the user. Xilo shivered as the pain radiated through his body giving the boy a high off the pain. He petted the weapon as though it were something precious to him.

Before Xilo knew it they had landed numerous Vong standing and rushing out the dropship. When everyone began to get out of the ship Xilo followed suit, blending in with the Vong for a few seconds before sneaking off to where he climbed to a nearby roof and set up the Verpine rifle he looked through the scope and the first thing he saw was Darth Tsolan making a scene. A smile touching Xilo's lips he began looking around for any jedi that could possibly arrive.

Following her master's example Sophie followed her to the commanding chair but stood behind her as opposed to next to her. It helped, however, as she watched the ship turn and take it's defensive position. Watching everything play out was almost like watching a 3D game being played out in front of her. Seeing the firefighting already commence had put a spark in Sophie's heart as she watched ships begin to fire and blow up. Gripping the back seat of [member="Darth Arcanix"] and her chair Sophie waited and watched to see how the battle would progress. If any orders were given by her master she'd fllow, but for now it was just a matter of enjoying the show.

Everything rocketed around as the ships made their way down to the planet. Inferno would stand up, and make his way to the hangars of the ship he found himself on. Reaching it, the Vong, and other soldiers all were preparing for the landing that would occur soon. Slithering into the middle of the group, it was here that he waited in silence, listening to the explosions, and men roar, and haler.

Ta'mur Rokar stared down at the crystal clear blue water through the grates on the floor, his eyes wide and his pupils dilated. He breathed heavily trying to focus on the mission at hand.

He had seen hundreds of battles, more than these ruffians gathered around him. He had claimed near a hundred enemy outposts and several enemy lives. Battle nor death could make this serious war veteran scared in the slightest.... large bodies of water however was an entirely different scenario....

And here he was placed on Manaan, trying to keep it afloat... So he.... nor thousands of other lives would end up in the cold... and very wet, wet water. He shook his head to and fro, trying to focus on the fact that it was merely a battle and not a extremely watery world.

Oh how he wished he was in the sky with the admiral safe inside his star fighter.... well as safe as one can be in a star fighter anyways...

Stepping into the Dropship in a hurry Nulgath held his own against the many bodies and remained with a happy smile. He let his eyes do most of the talking and he reflected a joy of sorts, he was not blood thristy or waiting for combat but rather optimistic about what was to come. He crossed his arms against his chest loosely and started to whistle a tune you would hear in a Cantina. He looked about as he did noticing how nervous some of the younger Acolytes were in the moment. The Dropship shook about and the guns were firing at it and yet here was this optimistic Zabrak with bright green eyes whistling a tune to ease the minds of those who could not ease themselves. Nulgath had a fine faith in One Sith and did not doubt that the Invasion would be noting but Successful.

" Why all the Long faces?" he asked with wit to everyone around him in the dropship.

Korsan was at a small little shop that was still open, regardless of the big celebration on Manaan. He wasn't one for big crowds, so he wanted to go somewhere where not as much people would be, even though it meant he wouldn't be around his Master, Kana Truden. He was examining a nice figurine when a bunch of alarms started going off. He immediately left the shop and entered the streets of Ahto City when he saw a Sith Fleet nearing orbit of Manaan. "Sith!" He exclaimed to himself, before placing his hand on his Lightsaber. 'You wont be taking this planet while I give breath. If you are here for a fight, then you shall receive one.' Though he'd never done it before now, Korsan attempted to use the Force send his thoughts to any Sith around. He didn't have to give to much of an effort to put his thoughts out, which might have to do with his species natural attuning to telepathy, but it could also just be that his attempt didn't work. Either way, he was still going to defend this planet from anyone who meant to cause chaos.

She needed little encouragement to swipe a stack of the thermal detonators, six to a pack stashed within the over-the-shoulder carrier, slinging it over her arm before the dropship performed as its namesake implied and bottomed out of the Right Hand, the speed of their descent rattling the ship though she paid little attention. Tensions ran high within the drop’s confines, allies breeding hatred and feeding off one another in a dangerously vicious cycle so by the time the repulsors made the warriors within the ship sway with their activation Matsu was almost crawling with their hatred and excitement.

B e a u t i f u l.

The light of Manaan’s sun was nearly blinding as the dropship doors peeled back to let them spill out, dozens of boots on the ground cascading outwards on to the city’s surface. She wasted little time as their additional dropships unloaded their Vong payload, creatures determined to do battle and little else as they screeched and tore out of their transport to do their commanders’ work, seeking blood. One of the first out, she ignited her lightsaber the moment she left the relative ‘safety’ of the ship’s walls, almost immediately blocking stray blaster bolts from Ahto’s defense team, natural security for whatever event the planet’s people had been celebrating – the Jedi could not be far behind.

And at that moment she heard a voice press in to her head, her natural affinity for telepathic communication making it easy to hear a Jedi’s warning.

'You wont be taking this planet while I give breath. If you are here for a fight, then you shall receive one.'
She pressed back a reply, a sick-smooth sea glass of a voice.

L̘̮̪̲͎͕o̹̬̹̜̤̎͌ͅo̺̬̼̺̪̹k̯̂̈ͧ̔í͇̱̹̊̏̀ͮn̞̯̹̒̔ͤ̋ͅgͯͧͧ̎ͨ ̪̻ͧf̤͇̥͌̔͌ȯ͎̖̺ͭͮ͐ͯ̇r͚w͎̯͕̠ͅa̦̝ṟ̫̘́d̻̜̤̲͎̃̌ͧ ̥͇̬̜̂͒̊ͥͬͤ̅ͅẗ̘͕̭̯̬́ͪ̾̀̊͊ọ̺̄̏ iẗ͙͔̤̖́ͪͮ.̏̃̂ͥ̎.͇̬̱̻͉̃̏ͩ.̦͈̤

Pressing eastward towards the hyperbouyancy system, she moved with her team, sticking close to Gabriel as Jedi took up defense. Elara seemed to be meeting them planetside, a Graug bodyguard accompanying her – a fine brute of a beast to have in the face of what they might be up against.

The overwhelming presence of the dark side would make most hardened Jedi cringe from the nauseating sensation it sent as it rippled through the core of the soul. She felt different though, she felt as if she understood its call and its darkening presence that tried to snuff the very flame that burned within her core. She wouldn’t allow, she couldn’t allow. She was the burning brand that would eradicate the enemies of the dark, the fiery light that would shine the brightest in the darkest hours. She pressed an armored hand to her chest where the Pendant of the Singing Mountain was concealed beneath her armor, the pendant itself was something to remind her of who she was. and where she had come from. Something of inspiration and something to remind her she had a job to protect and guide. She could feel the Light of the Force speaking to her, flowing through her and guiding her as she brought her other foot up onto the railing. The explosions, the zooming of the dropships overhead would fall silent, and peace would consume her.

Despite the rough winds, she somehow found balance but only for a moment. She reached out with the Force, attempting to sense the incoming dropships and any type of flight pattern they might have established. It was then, she felt something she recognized from so many years ago and even recently. That dark hole in the Force that couldn’t be explained, a cavity so to speak.‘Yuuzhan Vong’ She muttered softly, crouching low as she waited for her next target to pass by. It wouldn’t be long before it did, not giving her time to reflect back on the last time she fought Vong, on Coruscant as it were. The feeling of the Amphistaff around her neck and the life that almost was brought to an end because of them. Then, without warning, she jumped high into the air as a Sith dropship swooped down.

Timing was everything, the jump, the landing. All of it, and she narrowly made it. The impact of landing on a moving target as such a speed was hard, despite the armor. And no doubt, her new benefactors who assisted her in a ride knew she was onboard. She groaned as she rolled to the edge of the vessel as it sped towards the edge of Ahto City and swooped back around towards the Western side to drop off the troops it had on-board. Aaralyn grimaced slightly, rising as best she could despite the sudden jolt. She brought her right hand up and pulled Kor-Vella free from its confines and with that – she ignited the violet blade with a snap-hiss that was no doubt, drowned out by the sound of roaring engines.

She steadied herself as she stalked her way down the hull of the vessel in the direction of the cockpit. Upon reaching the transparisteel glass, she took a brief moment to reflect what was about to occur – more pain. 'Oh well...’ She said as she brought the lightsaber down into the cockpit, shattering the transparisteel glass and exposing the pilots within. The sound of muffled cries and confusion echoed in her earpieces as she reached out with the Force and quickly lifted the pilot as he reached for his side-arm. As soon as he exited the cockpit, she would throw him through the air as if he were a leaf into the breeze and then all hell would break loose on the ship. It began to fall from the sky like a heavy rock in a giant pond of water.

It took every ounce of reflex for Aaralyn to drop down suddenly to avoid being tossed off like a pebble. As the ship took an arch towards its stern and descended from lack of control, Aaralyn let go and dropped to the ground like a broken branch from a tree. She remembered the impact and how harsh it felt, despite her best efforts. She had tucked and rolled on her side and even used the Force to aide her landing - but it didn't do much for the sheer blunt impact of falling from such a height. The vessel could be heard whining as it came down and crashed a few dozen meters away from her current position in West-East Ahto City, the sound of reverberating and shaking the ground. For a moment or two it would cause the cries and yelling to halt before they resumed. Her earpieces adjusting properly to handle the increase and decrease in volume as she remained motionless on her back.

‘Well, that didn’t go as well as I planned.’ She bit down on her bottom lip and sat up, propping her arms on her knees. Her right hand still clutched Kor-Vella tightly as she took a breath and looked around at the chaotic scene of canisters of Kolto spread about, supplies as people evacuated their homes and just general pandemonium. "Well, not getting anything accomplished by sitting down…’" She said as she slowly rose to her feet, attaching Kor-Vella back to her chestplate.

Her violet gaze came down to her right gauntlet while her left hand manipulated the frequencies. She’d switch to the communications channel which [member="Kiskla Grayson"] was monitoring and give a status update. “Kiskla, I’m on my way to the Hyper-Buoyancy Generator.” ‘She said flatly, her hand lowering as began pushing past the Selkath and Republic citizens alike who panicked and fled the area. The beautiful sunlight Matsu encountered was lost on Logan, his helmet adjusting automatically to the spike in brightness. He tapped his foot impatiently as the rest of the people on board filled off, finally giving him space. Being at the back of the drop ship had both it's advantages and disadvantages, both revolving around the potential terrors that awaited them all outside the metal hull. His gaze flicked to his left, to his right and then quickly to his left again as he ran out of the hull, unclipping the red light saber from his belt with his right hand, his left hand fumbling at the strap holding his blaster pistol in place. As he trained under Reverance, he had done his best not to loose himself too much. He had begun to develop his own fighting style outside of the one his master taught him like many force users did. He always did his best to keep one hand free so that it could drop to his hip, pulling out the blaster at a seconds notice. While he didn't quite have the technical skills to move fluidly between the two stances without faltering.

His eyes snapped forward as several bolts went flying not a foot over his head. He flicked the power switch on his saber forward and reveled in the humming noise it made. It was the sound of pure pain and anger. With it he would strike down his foes and fight his way to victory. He lifted the blade to deflect a blot that came boring straight at his chest and it clipped the edge of the saber, the deflected bolt burrowing in the ground about a foot and a half in front of him. Hardly a feat to be proud of. Well, he thought to himself, Eventually I'll be able to single-handily bring victory to our cause. He shook the train of through from his head and kept running forward, barely deflecting a few bolts as the whizzed toward him. His particular skills lied outside of the force, mostly in brawling and priding himself as one of the best shots out there. However, the smooth voice of Lady Xiangu soon reverberated about his head, taunting the Republic Jedi in a cool yet nasty manner. That much was not lost on him.

As their groups course was quickly set, he huffed along in silence, his darting about as they watched for any signs of movement. While the Pubs were probably still trying to muster up a group to lead a counter attack with, you could never be too careful. The suns reflection off of a watch or the shiny barrel of an enemies gun could be the only warning before hell broke loose. In those several seconds of either certainty or uncertainty, countless numbers of lives could be saved or lost. But that all came with war, and everyone here was aware of the consequences should something happen.

Salt... And fear could be smelled in the air. Odeyseis didn't expect the One Sith would attack this planet, who could? It was a celebration in Ahto City after all, everyone was having fun and would not expect an attack from the Sith. The Sentinel was in the crowd being vigilant for any small... evilness, but he got a big evilness arriving on Manaan's space and started to descend. This will be ugly... Odeyseis thought, while running through the fleeing crowd trying to regroup with any Republic forces that he could see first.

Odeyseis then stopped, noticing a very recognizable byzantine skin, it was Seraphina meditating in front of the blast doors. Odeyseis decided to help her protect the generator that keeps afloat the city. Reaching where Sera was, the Jedi took out his robe, preparing for the incoming battle.

"Are you ready, Sera?" Odeyseis asked Sera, hoping that she will be since he knew that this will be a hard battle to be fought.

The sound of the mass of bodies rushing out into the sun light quickly roared over the calm whistle over the Zabrak in the dropship, He made sure he was one of the last out of the ship. His patience was long and he always made sure he was not just a pawn in a game of chess, He saw him self more as a rook. A person with the power to move where he pleased with a certain strength and demeanor of confidence. Stepping out he squinted at the sun of the planet shining against his face and let his hand drop down to his belt where his Lightsaber was hooked, it called to him in desperation to be used here and now! Gripping it he actived the weapon watching the pure blue blade roar and extend fully, an odd choice of color for a Sith but it made him stand out more. With his off hand Nulgath reached up by his neck pressing a button on his cybernetic armor, the parts shifted and moved rapidly till his face was covered and he was encased in metal, Like a Juggernaut he stomped forward to press the battle ground.

In swift and graceful motions he fluttered his blade to deflect the oncoming bolts that came by him. As more of the group got out of the pod and some making way to the objective the Armored Zabrak now started to hum the same Cantina tune, His Helmet amplifying his voice loudly. In truth the tune calmed him and kept him focused it was a sort of meditation for him, hard to believe i know but it was. If examined carefully one would notice that despite the annoying humming and whistling, Nulgaths movements were matching up with Form III Soresu... Mainly Blast deflection. Now and then a bolt would get past his blade but was stopped by his Cybernetic suit, The combination of Form III and Armor complemented each other and the Zabrak made sure to take advantage of it fully.

Standing in front of the Dropships he continued to guard and shouted " Move out!!"

When the query came from the besalisk, he gave a curt nod, still not knowing what to think of an alcoholic padawan whose access to the Force actually worked better under the influence... according to Qun Vell's claims, at any rate. It takes all kinds, this he knew, but it was still one of the stranger definitions of 'functional alcoholic' that he'd ever seen.

"Ready as I'm going to be," he said back, perhaps a tad flatly, as the words of Van-Derveld came through. Of course, he hadn't a chance to respond before Qun was making his insistent suggestion to the former Sith and the girl all the way outside the blast doors, "With any luck, we'll be waiting a while."

Again, his hand went to the hilt dangling off his belt - the only thing dangling off of it, for something had possessed him to leave his blasters back on Ossus. He felt underdressed without them, but there were other tools at his disposal, and he'd rely on them when necessary.

He tossed his over-robes aside, leaving his normal, black robes and under that lay his black armor weave body suit. His new lightsaber swayed from his belt as he ran. The rest of his vibroblades were tucked into secret spaces all over. He even had a spare training saber tucked away just in case.

Upon reaching the lift he turned to Kian.

"Master, I sense them too. How could we have been so blind not to foresee this?"

The planet was about to be attacked, James was going to do everything to ensure nothing the Sith did succeeded.
