The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian

Location: Carida, Republic Senate Halls.

Two Months after Corellia's Secession.

Alexandra leaned against the wall with her eyes closed, the great chamber silent now as few politicians remained after the last two months. Worlds had left on their own accord, seeing that the Republic would need to evolve or disappear. She did not agree with the decision that these worlds had chosen but she understood them, Arkania and Rendili leading the group that pushed for separation from the Republic. There were senators and individuals who remained though, those like [member="Lux Berooken"] and [member="Harley Fenstermacher"]. Among others like her own student [member="Kava Koyote"], [member="Vulpesen"] who remained on contract, [member="Irielle Decker"] who served with the Republic's soldiers, and the others who she had asked to arrive but had not yet. There were more, like Beth Cadera who was already on Fondor from what her Ai had told her, and Solan Charr, who remained in space, guarding the world for now until all the supplies and loyalists to the republic had gotten on the transports.

Alexandra's right hand rubbed at her wrist, thinking about the situation she was putting herself in now and wondering if the Republic would be able to become itself once more. There would be issues, things that need to be dealt with. The unclosed situation with the Confederacy, ties to governments that could be formed. like with the Silver Jedi and the Outer Rim nations. Alexandra did not know where to go or proceed but she would not give up when there were others that wanted to stand their ground and continue.

Sadly, not everyone saw it that way, groups having gone off ahead already, talk about melding into other governments, knowing she would be going forward alone as far as family was concerned, but she would make new connections serving the Republic, so it did not matter to her as she listened to another ship rise above the grand chambers. Her foot tapped as she leaned there, looking over towards those in the chambers and clearing her voice.

"All those assembled here, we need to move. The Republic cannot sustain itself in this region of the core any longer, and the worlds that have welcomed us, no longer wish to do so. We will be moving to Fondor, a world in the Colonies and on the edge of the Inner Rim. IT is a world some of you have been too already, and where our chancellor was assassinated before our Vice himself resigned from his injuries... I ask now, that those who remain strong step forward and lead us... Senators Berooken and Fenstermacher... can you lead your people, and follow their will?" She looked towards where the two senators would each be, waiting and her hands clasped behind her.

She hoped they would, knowing that it would take more than just the leadership of those two to bring the Republic forward, but also knowing that they could provide the ideals for the members of the Republic to uphold. She knew they could lead the people of the republic, and that they would have the humility to not let it drive them to their own delusions of grandeur. She knew they would be able to bridge the gap between the military that remained, and the people who came with the republic to hold it together.

Her eyes drifted again, this time to an old friend in the form of [member="Jairdain"], nodding to the woman before looking back and wondering if there would be an answer.

He listened to the words of [member="Alexandra Feanor"] and at the same time looked to the empty seats in the chamber once packed with Senators, now empty and the New Republic stood on the precipitous of collapse. The past few months had worn heavy on him the Chancellor dead and he had met with the Vice Chancellor while on his diplomatic mission to Corellia to stop them from leaving the New Republic only to find out that the man had resigned his position and was actively helping those who wished to tear apart the Republic that they had spent so much blood and sweat to build. While others decided to leave he would not give up he would provide the stable leadership that the people would need to get through these very tough times, yes that meant leaving Sarapin his home and while saddened he knew that this was much more important at the moment.

He stepped forward face composed in order to give a sense of calm and stability to all those in the room "I will provide the leadership that we need to get through these trying times. I still believe in the ideals of the New Republic and while today many have lost hope and fear what the future will hold, we must keep the faith in freedom and democracy in the rule of law and justice, these ideals are not so easily destroyed for they are the calling card of free people everywhere and in the dreams of those who live under oppression." he considered his next words carefully because when thrust into leadership it pays to make your words meaningful "We are not now that strength which in old days was able to move the stars, that which we are, we are, one equal temper of heroic hearts that have been made weak by time and by fate, but we remain strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to under any circumstances yield. We will get through this together if we keep faith."

Stepping back he hoped that he had made a good first impression for those who may have never heard or knew very little about him. It was easy for most to overlook someone so young especially when came to leadership so he had to make up what he lacked in age and experience in charisma and charm and hopefully he had used both to sway people to remain or at the very least come to Fondor and try to make things work there.

Jairdain was not a face seen very often outside of Commenor or Kashyyyk, but when her friend needed help, she would be there for her. Alex had called and requested her support and she came to do just that.

On the way, she was updated on what all had happened and it was something she could sympathize with. Her loyalty was to her friend and not the worlds that had withdrawn.

She had arrived and gave her friend a warm hug before taking a spot nearby, but not close enough to interfere with what was going to happen. Her role here was support and she gave Alexandra everything she could.

Things will work out, Alex. I am here for you.

That was all she sent to her friend, but hopefully it would be enough.

Listening to what was planned, she knew it was true and something she was very familiar with. Recently the Commenori had made the decision to join with the Silvers because they could not support their system any longer. This is what had happened to Alex and she nodded in understanding and sympathy.

Harley Fenstermacher

remeber it's not personal, just buiness
Things were royally fucked, always seemed they were, at the very least no one was dead, not that the same could be said for others but it was not a matter to dwell on right now. Even in the shambled state the Republic was not finished just yet and dam if he was going to let that happened, kind of ironic considering his past life, seemed actually having to rule a planet and be social changed certain outlooks that the Ehcani had. Standing to the side, arms cross the company CEO turned senator listened to [member="Alexandra Feanor"] and the new plan, cocking his head a little, contemplating the changes. In short he had to agree, Fondor was a good ship yard planet, in a reasonable isolated place compared to most other galactic powers and on the end of a major trade route, thankfully the First Order imploded on itself.

For the moment the Echani stayed silent, letting the still new senator [member="Lux Berooken"] talk first, quite the motivator and positive attitude, perhaps it was a youth thing. "Well, I am usually not one for speaches, but it's not like we have a large gathering". "When I joined the Republic , back when it was just the remnants out on Teth I did it out of self interest, saw it as a chance to gain power of Nar Hasska, all in all I was not the loyalist political leader around but over time things grew on me, I made friends, got married, actually contributed to something". "If anyone of you truly knows me, then there is one thing I hate more then anything else in the galaxy, having something I've worked on and built be tampered with by other people, letting this Republic fall due to the CIS's action the new imperials expansion put an end to us would be just that". "Perhaps sticking with this out of spite may not be the most noble of goals, but in the end it means one thing, you will have my support through thick and thin".

He gave a firm not to the Jedi grand master, his resolve as strong as Beskar, one way or another this republic will continue on, even if he had to run it himself.

What was there to say to them, what was it they could do? Theo contemplated it all wondering what was the galaxy coming to. Alderaan had sat back and watched Corellia leave the Republic he understood it, his parents understood it, Alderaan had once done the same thing.

So now what was he to do....sent to ...well..sent to....remind, no, remember that Alderaan was around. Not as much of the front of the galaxy as it had once been but enough that everyone there wanted others to know. He would be going to Corellia, or someone from Alderaan would, they would help however they could.

That's what he was here for...what could they do. H

The Senate halls had that sound the echo of footsteps from needing more furniture to absorb sound, or was it the starkness that brought people in. He never knew.

There were groups standing around talking in hushes whispers. He smiled and nodded....ok...now what?

Silently, Vulpesen stood at one of the many entrances to the senate hall, his arms crossed as his eyes surveyed his surroundings. Yes, the Republic semed to have fallen once again, but that did not relieve him of his contract not yet... or did it? In truth it didn't matter. Like caring for an ill father, Vulpesen would see to it that collective would not go completely abandoned. Even now, in their weakest, the Vitae stood guard, covering entrances, hallways, and important angles as if they were at the height of their power, perhaps even more so to make up for any shortcomings of the faction's reduced military.

"A bit of a pup to announce such a lofty desire. Still,he does have a way with words." [member="Lux Berooken"] was not a face that Vulpesen recognized, and in his experience, experience was everything. Even as he placed on his mask to speak into its com device, inquirires were only met with a small list of deeds. He didn't hold it against the boy. Experience came with age. True, by the time Vulpesen had exited his teens, he'd made a name for himself the galaxy over, but he had grown up a warrior. Diplomati ppursuits required finesse which required time.

One more whispered sentence to himself as he glanced around, observing those that remained. "The Republic has fallen... but it'll get back up. One way or another. This form or that... it always does." The words echoed out to those with ashlan ears as Ace curled up a bit more in the Valde's pocket. Yes, even the little wolf had seen it. It was simply an inevitable truth.
