Rank: Obsidian Lord Marshal, Atrisian Representative
Attire: Traditional Red

Interacting: TBA

Though but a young women when it happened Kurenai was well aware of the old wounds between Naboo and the old CIS. While some things in the galaxy had remained the same, like the Sith empire here right now history was to be changed and to an extent the Marshal could understand. Naboo stood as a bright beacon and jewel in the galaxy and despite it's own issues had largely remained free form any war scares. Also it's more central location would elevate the Confederacy power even more from being an outer rim power to a central controller and protector of the core worlds.

Still, even if the world had a such a clean history that didn't mean she was going to drop her guard on this day of celebration. As much as she was looking forward to the coming coronation Kurenai knew full well it would be an optimal time for any of the CIS enemies to strike, no matter how much security was in place.

Though until that gut feeling or some alarm was triggered she'd attempt to have a good time and mingle with other members, something that would be necessary since her short leave back home. With Atrisia being incorporated into the confederacy she had been reasonably busy back home sorting out things and dealing with a few 'family' matters.

She'd weave her body in and out of the large crowd which had gathered, herself giving the odd bow here and their to other members. The atmosphere by in large one of enjoyment and letting lose for the coming event. No doubt many a few people would wake up in the morning with a hangover and if eveything went well that would be the only problem to happen.

Naboo ll Theed
Emissary of the Alliance

Attire
Br8YpBr.png

The top brass of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Alliance had frequently been at odds since the enactment of the controversial 'Confederacy First' doctrine. Restriction of movement through CIS territory had forced the Alliance to seek a new (and expensive) trade route and the imposition of tariffs put significant strain on exports. However, despite all odds, the two galactic powers maintained a steadfast, if watchful, peace.

Adhira Chandra knew better than anyone that peace was fickle and required a great deal of tending to if it was meant to endure. It should not have been a surprise then when the elder stateswoman appeared on one of the terraces reserved for foreign dignitaries. The Senator was draped in flowing black fabric embellished with golden accents in the shape of laurels - signifying the majesty of their democracy - that twinkled in the sunlight. An ornate necklace of onyx stones adorned her chest and in each was carved the visage of one of the Four Sages of Dwartii. She was an image of authority, dignified and stoic as she observed the festivities below.

Though they performed an almost entirely ceremonial role, disarmed as they were, the four Senate Guards who accompanied Adhira were intimidating enough to deter unwanted attention. Completing her entourage was the diminutive woman in a simple black gown that lingered near her perimeter with a datapad clasped tightly in her hand. "F*ck... it's hot," Adhira muttered, pressing the coolness of her hand to her neck discreetly.

"Ma'am?"

"HOT! It's HOT! And I'm OLD! You'd think they'd provide a little shade -- unless the plan all along was to assassinate me via heatstroke." The sudden loudness from Adhira startled the attendant, but her expression softened when the elder flashed a rare smile her way. She cast her eyes on one of the robed guards. "Hey! Tall, blue, and handsome, find me a chair... and a drink." Two of the guards exchanged a glance, unsure which one she was talking to, but seemed to telepathically draw straws as one of them clicked his heels and set off down a set of marble steps to the west of the terrace.

"And what do we know of the young princess?" Adhira queried over her shoulder to the attendant who hurried to her side, datapad in hand. There was a brief pause as the younger woman scrolled through paragraphs of information and photos.

"Uh- well, born into the ancestral house of Naberrie... she is the first Queen in centuries to inherit the throne-"

"Hmph!" Adhira scoffed amusedly as the guardsman returned with a sturdy metal chair in one hand and a perspiring glass of icy, clear liquid in the other. Gratefully, she accepted both, lowering herself carefully into the seat. "Good man!" she exclaimed upon the realization the drink was in fact very alcoholic in content.

"Her rule is not widely accepted by the people. There are reports of demonstrations throughout the city. She is actually rather unremarkable as of yet, though she is also not yet Queen so it is hard to say what her reign will bring. Her advisors believe she will be a strong and compassionate ruler."

"Well, she's off to a good start," she mused as a CIS ship passed overhead. Adhira took a deep gulp of the drink she'd been handed and continued to survey the streets below. Force willing, the procession would begin soon. She was actually rather curious to get a look at this young and reportedly beautiful Queen of Naboo.

Westenra smiled at the assertion made by Karlie Lynn Destat Karlie Lynn Destat that she was perfect.

"I wish that were true...but thank you for saying it..." Westenra replied, continuing the slow walk to the parade.

"But the truth is that I am not perfect. Rom...even less so."

The Biot was overwhelmed almost by the sights and colors. Atrisia was beautiful but it was full of hazards like Zombie Yovshin Swordsman, creepy ghost women with stringy hair, Shinobi, deadly Force Anomalies, Lost tombs that were seemingly fething everywhere, and other "fun" things. Naboo had none of that insanity. Here, everything was soft and smooth.

(Narrator gags at writing that last sentence.)

The Android noticed the parade tape falling on her dress and hair. She glanced at it, feeling it in her hands. She wondered what it would be like to enjoy a rainstorm without shorting out. She still wanted to find a way to eat actual food. To not have animals run from her.

Sometimes Westenra wished she were like her sister Vera, who did not concern herself with such things unless they allowed her to be closer to Karlie.

"Strange...I've never been to another Royal persons coronation. Mother was ancient royalty turned Consular in the time of The Old Republic. Her being 'Royal' is the only way I have ever known her..."

She saw a happy family walk by her. A normal family, who wore normal clothes and had no horribly lethal enchanted or scientifically advanced weapons or horrific thirsts or curses upon their bodies. Sure, she could kick ass. Sure, she was richer than that family ever would be.

They were probably still happier and safer than she and her friends and family ever would be.

Westenra glanced at the public statues as she walked with Karlie.

"Mother's Royal House was born in the dark and cold." Westenra mentioned idly, the knowledge of which she had many hours to review in Mother's old records.

"She wasn't made into what she is by choice..." the biot added. "I wonder if its any different for this Kairi Leidias ..."

She then looked at Karlie's chrono.

"You're wearing it!" she exclaimed. "Have you figured out how it works. I've been studying my own schematics and I can 'barely' figure out how 'I' work..."

Naboo had always been a thing of beauty to behold a grand jewel in the galaxy that stood out to be admired and today was no different, the people had gathered to welcome their new Queen, there were detractors, yes but in time they would see the error of their ways. At least in truth, she had hoped as much, the security concerns surrounding the event were only punctuated by the movement of the Confederate capital to Naboo. Between the ships in orbit and the forces at the outskirts of Theed, security was well in hand, and at the recommendation of the Confederacy next to Nassane stood a young red-headed Jedi wearing grey robes. Taiia Locke Taiia Locke as they awaited the future Queen.
Nassane stood presently not far from Kairi's chambers just a bit down the hallway as she stood next to a couple of guards and a young woman dressed in elegant grey robes, contrasting the vibrant red hair of the woman a first glance by the way she carried herself would suggest a Jedi, the assertation would not be inaccurate. Nassane was currently speaking to Taiia as the closing of the chamber door caught her attention, she turned dressed in an elegant black dress with white accents on it. Her hair down and flowing down her back she gave a smile to Kairi Leidias and motioned for Taiia to follow and moved to introduce the new arrival to her sister.
The two guards turned to leave as the pair approached Kairi. "Kairi, the Knights Obsidian has sent one of their own to look after your well being for the remainder of the ceremony. It would seem the Confederacy is taking things quite seriously." she looked to each member of the court as well, she could see how pensive everyone was, hopefully bringing in an outsider would not add to.

Going home so many months after his sudden departure, he hadn't expected to be swept up in the politic, let alone the coronation of a hereditary queen, and especially not as her advisor. He should have at least expected some of the first, none of the other two, but when the princess turned out to be the younger sister of one of his oldest, closest confidants and old fencing teammates, he had difficulty saying no when asked to lend his mind (and protection); he had difficulty not letting his thoughts wander to Chiara, his companion these many months, wondering what she would think of all this, and him in the light-coloured, embroidered, bespoke robes his mother had insisted on commissioning for him upon his being conferred the title of Jedi Knight, some seven years prior. They were the only thing in his wardrobe that was fine enough to wear without sacrificing mobility, and the two lightsaber hilts and songsteel blade on his person drove home that point.

He wasn't the only one of the court that was primed to action should it be called for; it was such that the addition of a full queensguard might be overkill. For his part, he was 'listening', his senses alert, head bowed and hands folded behind his back, until Kairi emerged with her handmaidens, holding on to the scant few moments before she would step into the light, her procession in tow; his head and eyes lifted, to look on her as Nassane and Taiia approached the young royal, his focus mostly settling on their interaction.

The Knights Obsidian...?

His thoughts remained separate from his calm expression - he wasn't yet certain what to think on the matter, but then, he didn't know that Order particularly well.

Kaiburr could mostly be overseen in this parade. There were much more interesting people to look at. He was a droid, robed in brown, with a simple wooden staff at his side. At least as far as appearances went. The force had guided him to Naboo. Guided him to where he was now. A not entirely common position for a Baran Do Sage. But, he was already a rarity among them. Being a Shard, and neither a droid nor an organic. Simpy hidden within this droid body.

He walked beside them all, strategically placed where he was. The sensors of the eyes scanning, but they were not his focus. As much as he loved to look at the sky above, and the crowds of organics before him. The scenery of beautiful Naboo. Such a pretty planet. No it was not merely his physical senses that were used. Rather, the force itself. He focused not on its specifics. Not on individual signs of what was coming, but what to do.

It was taught to him, that it was better to allow the force to guide you towards a goal, then to force it into a direction. By permitting the force to aid you rather then clenching it and making it, you may reach more peaceful results. At least, that was what he was told. It was not easy all the time, letting the force make your decisions for you. Sometimes, you could make a mistake, and lose that feeling of being a simple leaf in the wind. And that jolt out of the method might lose your chance completely.

Perhaps that was why most Sages avoided taking combat positions, even though he had done it. In the chaos of battle, perhaps it was easy to lose that connection and fluidity. And emotion or panic might interfere and break it. Nevertheless, here he was. And, as simple as it was. As basic of a job. He was plenty happy with it. Content that he was still following where he was supposed to be. For what reason he did not know. Whether it would change much he didn't know either. But he was here, to help.

She'd never been party to a coronation that wasn't Hapan, so when the invitation came, the only sad part was that Teyla didn't want to come along. Usually, her sole reason to come to Naboo had been to visit her sibling, but those visits had paved the way for her now-relationship with the rest of her family, and it was true that she had become fond of the Nabooian landscapes and climate. The only part that was uncomfortable, like virtually every other world outside of Hapes, was that it had a distinctly separate nighttime.

The array of colours was striking, and part of her wanted to wander down into the crowds... maybe after the procession passed? They would be following on, to the actual ceremony, anyway. Teyla would no doubt encourage her to mingle with the regular folk - Jedi were not above anyone, and she knew it... but in this dress? Surely her blood relation to Teyla went a long way to helping Kintel retain his composure, because most other men she had passed on the way here had difficulty averting their eyes. Teyla's mother most definitely had something to say, but Teyla must have said something, because the elder woman's lip was zipped about it.

Eline bent over the balcony, craning out as far as she could get to see what she could see.

"Eline, dear, be careful!"

She glanced at the matriarch, with a small smile, the woman fanning herself... the Hapan turned her gaze back to the processional way, stifling a smirk. At least unlike many of the people here, she wasn't suffering the heat, from wearing too much!

To see a new queen crowned had always been a pleasure of hers since she was a child. The parades, the celebration, the festivities. It was a day of pleasure and happiness throughout Theed, and the rest of her home world as broadcasts were sent out across the planet. She still recalled the day of her own, years ago. It was surreal, a dream. But it was also a dangerous time. A time filled with uncertainty. The Confederacy, the Alliance, the First Order, the Sith, all were on the small planet's scope for one reason or another, be it threat of invasion, a hope of peace, or a pact of neutrality. It came with responsibilities she could never have anticipated. It came with restrictions and obligations. It came with incredibly tough decisions. It even came with abduction and assassination attempts by Sith and First Order operatives.
But Naboo had endured. As it always had before. As it would now. The former queen was now free of those bonds. She was delighted to see a new face take her place, to watch as new, fresh ideas were planted and grown. Truth be told she was delighted to also be free of the sleepless nights. She could pursue other endeavors without her council and fellow advisors panicking at the thought. It was true freedom. Her people were strong and loyal. And though she had heard rumors of unrest throughout the city, Jamie felt confident that in due time they too would come around. She only hoped that it would end peacefully, as she had always strived for. Jamie, like her predecessors before her, did not believe in making Naboo a military force, though that decision was out of her hands. She would support the decisions made, so long as they did not bring harm to her home.
And so quietly the blonde sat whilst the others prepared their ceremony and celebration - One last time in the palace garden, dressed in a gown of simple elegance, flowing colors of blue and pink, a Rominaria in her hair, picked only moments prior. A smile painted her face.
It was almost time to go.

While Teyla hadn’t wanted to come along, at the last minute she made the choice to put herself together and make an appearance for the new Queen’s coronation. Makeup could only hide so much of the dark circles and puffiness that surrounded her dulled chestnut eyes, but she tried, for herself and for her children. Sometimes, they were the only thing that kept her from completely caving in on herself.

The Naboo native moved quietly behind her sister and gave Eline a light squeeze on the shoulder to let her know she was there. “You were right,” she said in regards to their earlier conversation about Damon, and her needing to continue living, with or without him. Frail hands smoothed out the dusty, rose-pink silk dress, stepping besides her sister, but keeping her gaze looking forwards. “Thanks for inspiring me to get out today.” Her lips pulled upwards, though it didn’t quite reach into even a half smile.

Coming from behind and in tow, was Karina and Marcus. Each of the twins were clothed in their own spiffy matching outfits for the event, perched on Rafiki’s broad shoulders to allow them to see the procession, whenever it began.

Having been a handmaiden herself once, it was not only right, but important that she be there to show that previous generations stood in support of the new Queen, her handmaidens, and this fresh direction their planet was taking.

She knew about darkness and cold. Just didn't figure on Nine Lives Nine Lives coming up the same way.

Karlie looked over to her friend as they made their way through to get a better vantage point of the new elected queen. She were going to ask as to how long ago..how old were their creator, their mother. Karlie understood that West was in fact one of the youngest of Nine's creations. At least the newest one to have come into consciousness. How long West's gestation period was in developing her, it was at best a guess. But that was what was not on Karlie's mind at the moment, but the fact that Nine's daughter mentioned her mother had not been given a choice in her immortality.
maybe that were something she would have to ask Nine herself...seeing that west's mother was keen in teaching her what Karlie's own mom had not the chance to in the art of the blade.

Karlie realized she unconsciously had settled her hand on the ceremonial hilt of her sword. Upon doing so, she quickly removed it. Perhaps it were what may have drawn her friend's attention to it and the crono her mother had given Karlie...

"...yes, and how." Karlie replied, taking the opportunity to show it off. She were quite excited in wishing to let West know how much more she liked it over her own. Nine had once examined the piece Karlie had made to regulate her blood sugars and had designed her own with not only many improvements but in design. Nine had popped it..had redesigned the upgrade version in Steampunk...something Karlie unknowingly had a natural knack for. The blonde loved the look, the functionality and unique handcrafted clockworks. This of course weren't something easily accomplished these days without printers and labor bots. Only that Nine had fashioned it the old fashion way (excuse the pun); with her hand. It were an art many had long lost.
Again, Karlie's curiosity as to how old nine really were.

"Actually, the instructions were quite simple but not detailed. " Karlie went on to explain as she offered west the opportunity to examine her mother's handiwork.
" Kind of guessed your mom's not into micro managing...hehe. You know, she let's you figure things out yourselves. Kind of gives you a hint, a little boost, then it's all up to your own initiative.
I mean, from my experiences-" Oh fodder, her experiences were more around West's sister Vera/Rom.

"Aherm..."She had to swallow it, clearing her throat. no, she weren't going emotional on West. Not here, not now. 3..2..1.. breathe.

"Your mom's the bomb. " she continued. "The instructions were enough for me to be curious enough about it to try it on and...hehe, experience the difference."
Yes, it were a perfect match the very first time it were doned on. It started to seamlessly regulate her sugar level, adjusting it to the micro-ui in divisions of micro seconds besides other surprise functions Karlie were still discovering.

"Ohh, and just before you came over, it tapped me. I think it is set to let me know when-" She stopped a second to look into her friend's eyes.
"...when a friend's nearby." Long shot maybe on that one... but, yes...
Yes, that may have been one of it's purpose.

"Your mom...she kind of inspiring. Got me thinking out of the box on a lot of major levels. You could say that your mom has been the catalyst that's taken my research and development in many new directions." Oh golly, maybe she should bite her lips and save it for when she had a working prototype.
Yes, maybe that would be best if she surprised Nine herself when she would arrange for those lessons.

"Anyway...boring stuff. I 'm sure you'd rather interested in us exploring this coronation together. never been to one neither...hehe.
Oh look, I see flags starting to make their way down this avenue." Karlie perched up on her tippy toes, pointing over to the near distance.
" I think we'll be seeing the start of the parade." It were difficult to really see much distance through the celebration confetti and ribbons falling all around them. It seemed to have picked up some, like a a thunderstorm...Oh wait, those were the confetti cannons going off more..and the horns..the trumpets..the tubas.."Oh, I think I see some Gungans!" Karlie exclaimed like a little girl at her first big royal parade celebration...

"Yeah, that sounds like Mother alright..." Westenra admitted when Karlie said Nine had not provided too many instructions.

"Her background in the sciences was cultivated during her time in the Original version of House Li-Ves. Then it became more refined in The Jedi Order. After she was...turned into what she is now, she seemed to experience a quantum leap in intelligence. Before it was just pure electronics. After she became what she is now, her advancements explored the use of flesh. This latter aspect of her research predictably advanced a lot further after she woke up in this era."

The parade tape seemed to wash everything in an endless flow of ever shifting colors. She saw all the wonderful dresses and monuments and beautiful people she wanted to snack on...but for some reason, her mind was still somewhat on that normal, happy family that had walked by without a care as to what was going on, simply happy to be together and safe.

Already Westenra was looking out for possible assassination attempts on her or Karlie. She found herself wishing to trade places, but knew it was selfish.

"Mother will be delighted to hear she's had a positive influence." The Android assured her as they walked, smelling actual food being eaten by people. She wondered what regular people did for fun. She fantasized about a quiet house in a flowery meadow she could live in, where there was no violence. No madness or evil witches devouring the souls of the innocent.

But she had responsibilities. Ones not easily cast aside. But it wasn't like she wanted to be totally unresponsible...she just wanted somewhere simple and quiet, where she could be herself, without the trappings of weapons or blood money.

Karlie pointed out they were at the start of the parade and Westenra used her x-ray mode to see Gungan skeletons through the crowds.

Bright colors, bright worlds, bright futures. If only she could believe her or her family had a future so rosy...

Faith loved a good celebration and a coronation invited all the indulgences of life to come out. Cakes and candies made only for such occasions the tid bits of memorabilia to commemorate the event, the finery, the parades. so much to take in, so much to admire.

Faith with Becca and one Alderaani Guard at a very far distance walked through the streets headed towards the palace. Faith couldn't help but to pick up some sweets for Ma'ree. Becca eyes were wide at everything she saw.

"Ohhh look did you see the waterfalls, and lakes it reminds me of home"

Faith nodded, "Yes Naboo is a jewel like no other. It rises up to meet the sky and shines eternally" Faith had always felt a kinship here among the people and the nobility. They had a quietness to them but their quietness was rivaled by their determination.

How many had come from across the galaxy to witness this day? Faith could see representatives from a number of planets. The cynic in her said that they were all here with a purpose, the romantic in her believed otherwise.

Becca paused, "It will start soon"

Faith nodded, "I understand its so rare tho that we are able to celebrate I want to enjoy this feeling for as long as possible"

"Yes Mam"

Faith continued her slow walk towards the palace

Commander Ra Vizsla
Objective:
Ra and Mando'ade Entourage Performs Haka In Dance Battle While Waiting For Parade
Location: Crowded street, pre-gaming the parade.

A small child was being led through the crowd by his mother, navigating the massive sea of people gathered to see the convention of the parade.

There were several people in Ra's specific vicinity that had taken up drinking and general merry-making. Ra, his usual stoic self, had partaken in very little of this up until now while members of the Stormtrooper 403rd Legion and other various Mandalorians had joined in the festivities.

The crowd, as crowds do, began to entertain itself with music and dance battles.

That's when the entourage of Ra jumped into the fray. They began their dance, known as the Haka as some worlds.

The child and his mother passed by Ra.

The child tapped his mother on her hip, frantically, whispering. "Ma, Ma! Ma! The scary man..."

His visor, glowing emerald even on the sunny day, exploded in frenetic colorful display of emerald showers as the lights danced around, further startling the child, and his mother whisked him away off into the crowd.

And then Ra broke through the crowd once more, joining his fellow Mando'ade in the dance.

Though displayed aggressively, it was as much a war chant as it was of festivities. Further alcohol was consumed, though it did not appear that the Commander and former Mand'alor was partaking in any of that specific celebration once the dance was done.

Karlie swallowed deep.
Nine had indeed been very influential in her life. Only it took some time for her to realize that West's creator, or mother if you will, was her best ally.
A rocky and an unsure beginning it had been though. But could one blame the blonde those first few days under Nine's roof?
Karlie had been targeted and attacked by none other than a zealous operative group vying for political foothold, claiming to avenge Darth Metus son's death on Melida/Dan at any cost. That black op group of course had been misguided by doctored up intelligence that to this day was believed to be concocted by none other than Karlie's mother. But that recap is for another time...here now the blonde were in the company with one of her most confident ally, Nine Lives Nine Lives daughter Westenra.

Why the hiccup at West's reiteration that her mother was very pleased in hearing that Karlie looked up to her?
Karlie knew she had given Nine more than a hard time , many times over, testing West's mother's patience and empathy. But in the end, at this moment with all of their past trials and tribulations, they were as close as family. Ok, it were what Karlie felt in that matter. then again, her attachment to west' sister...well maybe that would be visited at a later time. Right now, it were Westenra that she were in company with..a very good friend. One whom had risked her life, like all of nine's daughters had for her sake.

"Sometimes... looking back..." Karlie shook her head. Yes, she had tested Nine and company several times over.
"...I wonder as to why mother..." Yes, yes, Karlie had found it easier to refer to Nine as 'mother' when speaking about her to them. Of course in Nine's presence, Karlie always addressed her as Lady Lives. It were somehow more fitting..more respectful of the great lady Nine Lives.

"... had not thrown her hands up over what I put everyone through. I mean, I gave her so much trouble in the beginning.
I...I didn't know mother well then." No. No she didn't.
Now...now Karlie saw Nine as more a mother she should have had, rather than the one that had spawned her.

"West... between us..." A secret. A trust to be kept between them. "I don't know what I would do without you...without mother.... without-" She didn't have to say it: Vera...Rom.
But Karlie were human, as humans could get, maybe more so now in this galaxy. And a human heart, aside from being a difficult concept for any non-human to understand; Karlie could not herself could figure out her own. What human really could?
"... gah, you know what I mean...hehe.." The festivities around them, made it difficult for Karlie to be so weighty on matters of the past. But she had little experience in having the past wash over her. Her own mother, none other than Darth Rigor had managed to disappear into the void again. Karlie's past was in fact her present and future, as long as Rigor existed.

Kairi looked to those present, each one of them. A nod of reassurance as her gaze passed over their visage. “Thank you all for being here for me today.” It was simple and short, perhaps curt even. She wasn’t trying to be, just the overwhelming anxiety was encompassing her entire body. She ran her hand idly through the fur of Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol , intertwining her fingers occasionally as she turned to her sister, Nassane. “Oh? Is that so?” She stopped the petting to look to Nassane and the young girl beside her, Taiia Locke Taiia Locke . She would incline her head slowly, before turning to Brave Capon as he approached. “I’m going to assume we’re ready.” Another nod as she moved away from her enrotage, passing Merrick Sato with a glance. No more introductions for now, it was time to get the parade underway.
Changes were made, security was adjusted – the ceremony would no longer take place on the Isle, but back on the stairs. The reason for the changes was simple, give the people what they want. Thousands had already lined the streets, and she had felt there was no need to make them wait any longer. And so they would emerge from one of the many ancient buildings which decorated the tiny island. Her hands would remain clasped infront of her as the rays of sunlight cascaded on her face as she stepped out into the open. The thunderous roar of applause and delight filled her ears as the people of Naboo were able to glance upon the woman who was to be their Queen.
A hand would rise, a bit hesitant as the anxiety seemed to wash away from her as the sound of her people crashed into her senses. And off they would be, Kairi would continue to greet the masses in the best way possible – by simply waving. It would be a quick boat ride, then a raised platform through the city before they reached the stairs leading up to the Royal Palace. A quick, painless and easy experience for most everyone, including Kairi.
Atleast that is what was hoped for.

He wasn't really here for the coronation: he was here because the Order had sent him here in advance. Less than a week planetside and his solitary comment about birdsong, about noise, was coming back to bite him in the ass. While the throngs hung their collective gaze on the emergence of the to-be queen, his was cast skyward, a hand at his temple to shield from the sun. The Lord Commander was up there, somewhere (as far as he was aware), not in the midst of the crushing surge of people as they threw another deafening cheer, in haphazard unison. His other hand plugged one ear, as if that would help.

"I'm gonna hang Rothe by his ears, for leaving me out in this..." he groused under his breath,, "...wherever he's frakked off to."

And he wouldn't have to lift a finger to do so. And though he wasn't here for the coronation, it was part of the local culture, and part of knowing his freshly minted padawan better. He supposed she was with her family. He considered what his family would think of this, but he shook his head and lowered his gaze from above, knowing full well what they'd think. The temptation to just take to the sky, to just escape this was very real, but not everyone appreciated a guy just up and flying away... particularly not if it was likely to bowl some of them over, in the process.

Luca scratched at his chin, freshly shaven that morning, fingers of the other hand drumming on his thigh. He couldn't light up here, either. There was little he could do with his hands, nothing to preoccupy him to abate the itch to take a drag. This was gonna be one hell of a day.

"Nevermind his ears. Nope. I'm gonna...."

An even louder cheer drowned him out of hearing even himself. He shouted in abject, incensed surprise.

"...oh, go for a walk*, would ya!"

*Vandorian equivalent of 'frak off', but with the implication that one should go take a long walk in the snow and die from exposure.

Queens Court - Beginning The Parade
Kairi Leidias , Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol , Audré , Tyché , Inhye Inhye , Merrick Sato , Nassane Naberrie , Kaiburr Kaiburr , Taiia Locke Taiia Locke

Brave smiled as even more people flocked to his Queen's side. Noting each of the legendary faces in turn. Anse the poor pooch. Kaiburr the steadfast crystal. Even Taiia the fashionable sword made her crimson-haired appearance.

These weren't their real names by the way. Oh no. This was just what Brave thought they should be named as his smile scanned the gathering crowd. Ah. So many people. So little time.

"Do you think she'll try to meet all the guests?" The dutiful lady Holliway asked him as they exited out into the sunshine.

"Ha! And why not? She loves all the attention. I don't doubt we'll be here all night and evening once she gets spritzing it up. Ha. Doubt I'll have much time for cards tonight either."

He smiled to her as he said that. Brave was always sneaking away for cards. Old fool. Undoubtedly had a gambling habit.

"Good. The less money you lose to all these foreign dignitaries and crimson gowned divas The better." She smirked as she said that too. As if keeping ol' Brave in check was in her job description.

"Why, my darling Holliway. ,,,I'd won't even think of it." He winked with a twirl of his mustache.

Happy and at peace. Together they strutted out towards to the parade. Naught but a heartbeat from the Queen. Yet neither too close nor too far. Not for the camera nor for the crowd. For today, the spectacle and the spectacular must have their run of the race. Patience has it's virtues.

The Old Man abides.

And the parade continued.

L O C A T I O N | Naboo - City of Theed
W E A R I N G | [x]
T A G S | Bastille Rommer

The difference between worlds had never ceased to amaze Jamilah. Ra’Katha was doused in shades of muted orange, browns, yellows. A very pleasing and harmonious mix that was extremely easy on the eyes. The streets of Naboo, on the other hand, were very different. A cacophonous rainbow pallet that she could only find one word to describe: hectic. It wasn’t necessarily bad. Jamilah found she had more things to look at than any other planet she’d visited. It was just overwhelming.

She had the good grace to say nothing in response to her husband’s compliment, but her cheeks did fill with a fine rose tinted blush.

“I think we have time to explore the city for a little while first.” Jamilah slipped her arm into Bastille’s, bringing herself closer as their steps carried them through the streets. Bastille, as always, had summed up Jamilah’s thoughts. They would find time for advice later. Kairi Leidias had known well in advance of their intentions to attend. Jamilah had no doubt that the young Princess would have the means to find them if she was in need of her. “How long has it been since we have strolled together like this?” It wasn’t a complaint of any kind, merely a musing. In all things, for both Bastille and Jamilah, Ra’Katha came first. It had willingly come before their choice to freely find love, and it would come before all things after.

“I remember my coronation.” She said with some fondness in her tone. “It was not until they placed the crown upon my head that I found myself truly nervous...” Her ocean blue gaze trailed up to Bastille, a flicker of amusement pulling her painted lips into a soft smile. “When all the responsibility and duty had finally settled. They weigh far heavier than the eyes that were watching, or the crown itself.”

The roar from the crowd left Anse briefly backing his ears, but his pawsteps never faltered. To an untrained eye most within the assembled masses would see him as just a curiosity, a pet. Except he didn’t move or act like a tamed beast. His gear was armor, his attention much like any soldier.

He kept his shoulder, along with the handle to grip, always within reach so that he could shove his body into hers so she could mount and allow him to run. There were a few places that he had been ‘ordered’ to take her should the worst happen, but Anse was a paranoid sort.

He didn’t trust the guards, nor anyone else for that matter, that was his job. He was outside the hierarchy, the one person whose sole job was to see to the queen’s needs, if no one else could or would. In this case, he had his own arrangements, should the worst happen.

Everyone knew there was unhappiness at the spectacle, of the soon to be queen. A predator always knew when there was unrest in a flock of sheep and today was one day where a show might be put on by those sheep believing themselves to be wolves. He wouldn’t lie though, he was hoping for something to happen just because then he’d be less bored.

He didn’t want anyone innocent hurt of course, but even an innocent thing to just liven things would be nice. Still, he’d rather be bored than there be bloodshed, but oh did it make his paws itch.

While Crown Princess Kairi Leidias prepared for her royal procession, Lydia Brandes, newly-appointed Throne Minister for the Arts remained at Theed Palace to put the final touches on the coronation ceremony. The lithe young aristocrat floated gracefully around the throne room directing the assembled guards and servants to make small adjustments here and there. A flock of doting young girls followed her, giggling and commending her every recommendation. "No, no, more pink flowers... a little higher... not there silly - there... yes, wonderful. We'll have the heads of the Noble Houses stand here to swear fealty and the Gungan Chieftains there. Yes, very good."

"Attention to detail is paramount, a labor of love for our glorious new Queen," her melodious voice echoed throughout the Throne Room, briefly capturing the attention of the servants before they went back to work. The girls following her chirped in agreement. Lydia smiled knowingly at them as she swept around the perimeter of the hall. As Lydia was passing one of the tall windows overlooking the gardens something caught her attention and she stopped suddenly to peer outside. "Um- girls? Go to the banquet hall and ensure preparations are proceeding... the wine still needs to be sampled. I'll be along in a moment." The young women seemed overjoyed at the suggestion and hurried down a nearby corridor, their giggles and gossip fading as they got further away.

Lydia glanced back at the Throne Room with a mischievous grin before setting off down a set of stairs and throw a wide doorway that led into the gardens she'd just been observing. Unlike the palace which was alive and buzzing, the gardens were silent and serene as if they existed on an entirely different plane. Sitting a short distance from where Lydia stood was the thing that'd brought her searching: Queen Jamie Pyne of Naboo.

"Your Majesty," Lydia lowered herself into a deep and reverent curtsy just a few feet from the reigning monarch, "forgive me for the intrusion. What brings you to the gardens? Should you not be out festivating? Enjoying your new-found freedom?" Her sing-song voice queried.
