STRENGTHS
- More Bang For Your Buck: The Harpoon-class is heavily armed with a variety of cannons and missile launchers.
- In Space No One Can Hear You: The communications suite is quite advanced, enabling you to encrypt, scramble, or otherwise disguise messages as well as send them out across vast distances.
- You Are Unwise to Lower Your Defenses: While it has a lot going for it overall, the Harpoon is a little lacking in the defense department. The general assumption is that the pilot(s) will rely on stealth to engage in quick sneak attacks.
- Anti-Stealth: The Mercury Suite is vulnerable to power outages caused by ionization that can cause sensitive communications to be intercepted.
- Fried: For all its armor and shielding, the Harpoon's electronic systems are vulnerable to EMP and ion-based weaponry, which can wreak all kinds of havoc with the ship.
For All Seasons has recently taken up an interest in starships, primarily motivated by our disgust with the modern spacefaring landscape. Everything looks the same or is still basing designs on stuff manufactured eight centuries ago. Boooring. This project aims to make vessels that are more visually distinct than the usual fare, while not sacrificing functionality.
The Harpoon is, as the name would suggest, designed to look like a harpoon. Its distinct shape is sleek and suggestive of speed and lethality. It can also be quite stealthy, if its stealth-oriented systems are put to proper use.
