Halting the Gears (Republic Dominion of Gratos)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
GRATOS

This wasn't a world she was familiar with, or even knew very well but the planet was something to be cettain and the occupants. The scouts had reported the Graug, millions of them and in truth she did not know wht to really do about that. In truth leaving them there that close to Atrisian space was a dangerous thing. Something that few could deal with and the jedi master made a face of determination while sitting in the ship and overlooking the world. "Begin setting people down and be careful, fighting the Graug is a dangerous prospect but we will have to subdue them to try and protect the galaxy. Their emperor was far to strong by himself." With a small smile the jedi master got nods from the soldiers.

Objectives:
  • Fight remaining Graug forces
  • Fight remaining Graug sithspawn
  • Secure Graug Forges
  • Secure Graug Armories

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
The graug were one of the few things she really wanted to fight, they were huge and beefy and powerful and well dangerous. This was a suicide mission if there ever was one and they were going to have to fight an entire planet of them least of all. Well after Ossus and fighting several of them she had to admit to wanting to go toe to toe really with one of the big ones. Just tearing him apart and decimating him with her own strength so he would know the bigger you were wasn't always the best.

Ayumi Pallopides

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
This was not a good place to be, less so because of the terrible implications but she really didn't want the headache of hearing from the emperors people. HE seemed to take offense to just about anything or treated it as some form of disrespect and it wasn't worth it. After the botched meeting on Coruscant when he brought a warship without advanced warning to meet the chancellor of all people there was little left to do aside from hope things got better. Which she doubted, since the empires fall everyone no doubt just wanted the Republic to burn and open space up. The rapid expansion and move to secure locations something dangerous and detrimental to their ideals of whatever. She truly cared little for the people outside her section of the Republic. That was why the graug a dangerous enemy had been important to locate they posed a threat at this section of space. Something that could be used when left unchecked.

"We will have to make sure there are no sith in the area, a graug army could be a dangerous thing if they led a few of them in an attack cell. Begin working on pulsemass locations to better handle the situation." The look from the captain as the tactical readout of the area came was enough as locking down the main systen and for as long as they could keeping the dangerous creatures on their own planet to kill each other started to come together. Let the jedi and soldiers deal with the clean up they would make sure nothing got off aside from their own people.

"Please be careful when we fight the Graug, there are not a lot of things that seemed to really wipe them out and if there was a dangerous species it was the graug compared to others. all darkside abominations bred for war. The real danger was in the closeness to the republic's space. They could even go after the atrisian's galactic empire which would have been something but she surmised that either way the Republic was going to be demonized in the empire's views. Their zealotry and adherence to the bastardization of the Republic something that might serve their agenda but didn't really impress the small sephi. She would be one of the first on the ground and make sure everything that happened was a success.

Jack Sheltrak

Senator of Zeltros, Former Supreme Chancellor
"Well lets just hope the Galactic empire doesn't mind this happening. Granted them showing up at our capital in a warship did nothing to help ease tension but the group isn't very threatening. We're just running pest control on the space that is needed and handling a dangerous threat." With a look at the women the chancellor had to admit he bought it at least, this wasn't about the empire this was about the remnants of the sith and their war machine had come here. That the empire didn't go after them seemed a dangerous thing but there was no time when it came down to it. He had no need to try and boost the ego of the emperor who was their neighbors. "Make sure the sodliers are armed and ready then send them down and be careful. This isn't going to be a walk in the park."

Syn

Nimir-ra to Iella, Jedi Shadow
Oh this was going to be fun and he was going to be the first on the ground as the shuttle was headed down. He had his shadows with him and each were practiced in breath control... Better yet their belts had a rebreather just in case. He had seen the mammoth beast that was Krag and when he learned Dragonsflame had faced him was a little disappointing but no matter, it was all about to change while he secured the dashi robe and tapped the armorweave over the gungnir armor. A fine example of what was needed while the doors opened and the jedi master charged a little outwards to search and look. "Be careful where you step they like to be in the ground.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
It was a dangerous prospect but at the moment as she headed down all Matsu was thinking about was collapsing some of the tunnels to bottle and herd any graug so they couldn't get swarmed. It would take work since they liked to dig tunnels but much could be done with it. They would be fighting a battle against a planet full of dangerous creatures that they didn't know much about. So she focused on the force and was sensing, not for them but for the earth itself and all the parts of it so she could mold it and shake it, let it become hers to command. "I will work on the tunnels. To try and bottle the graug."

Other Space Kaiden

Better than other-other space Kaiden
Weaklings scurrying about in the dusts of their own demise, their lives pointless and their resolve even more so. Krag had no respect for the ones who called themselves Jedi, warriors of the Republic or any other number of worthless titles used to tag themselves as Republic dogs. Krag, last Emperor of the Sith Empire and the murderer of Tefka Effet, stood at the apex of the Graug capital tower where his mother's body still laid upon the ground where he had killed her. The Republic had no way of knowing, but Krag had already relocated most of the 80 billion Imperial Clan members off world and now only a few million of their numbers remained. The process had been slow and Krag was forced to fight off the Dread Father, whose pirate clan lives on the two habitable moons of Gratos, but he had done it while the Republic was so focused on destroying the Sith Empire. Thankfully, the downfall of the Sith had taken months and in that time most of the population had headed off into the dark reaches of space and now those that remained had the opportunity to fight alongside their new Emperor and leader of their horde.

Beside him, on each side, were his Horde Guard who were decked out in their standard ultrachrome armor and held standard Graug weapons of the trade. "They have come...expected but early. Sound the war drums, I want these Republic rats to face the full might of the horde."

Well, Kira for this point in time decided to not go forth and wave her saber around.

No instead she focused on starting up a good solid base of operations from where to help out her fellow brethren; whether it be through aiding any wounded or providing sanctuary to any of the local inhabitants in the area for evacuation.

The ship that held the medical and aide team slowly settled down in a flat plateau. First things first, was to set up a secured perimeter.

Oh frak, Nico looked at what they might be facing and was even more imposed now, the idea of fighting a graug was not a nice one and she looked at what they were going to do. Not really wanting to fight something four times her size and weight most likely with only two sabers and shields. Well hopefully as she looked at the droids something good would pop for them and more soldiers would flood in to fight.

It was always good to rotate your position while in these operations. And so he decided that he would leave the fighting to the other more experienced Jedi Knights and Masters. He was upon the transport with, @[member="Kira Liadain"], and he smiled over at the Jedi Knight when he approached her. "Master Liadain, it is nice to meet you again." He said. They had last met upon Coruscant at the Grand Jedi Temple there.

When the ramp to the medical shuttle opened up he looked to the Jedi Knight. "What to do first, Master Liadain?" Dark brown eyes looked down at her for guidance, quite odd in most cases. But, she was the superior, and so he would follow and do his duty by the Jedi Order.

Ordo sat down his ship. He had seen the republic cruisers in orbit and done his best to stay out of their way. Thenlast Sith emporer had been one of the creatures that were supposed to be on this world and Ordo had a strong urge to hurt a few of them.

He strapped on his H-harness over his beskar'gam and checked his weapons one more time. He was armed well and even carried his lightsaber from Kaas city on his belt.

He checked his armor's integrity and sealed his buy'ce. He was ready to go hunting andna little birdy said it was Graug season.

He walked to his boarding ramp with his slugthrower assault rifle at the ready and grenade attachment preloaded. It was a bit doolosh to go alone but this one could be his last trip and he may as well make it one for the record books.

OBJECTIVE -- Secure a location for ally and civilian extraction and base of operations! Likely end up fighting remaining Graug forces.

"Windu," Kira gave a short quick nod along with a welcoming grin. The engines of the ships were blowing all kinds of air in all different directions... which in turn also blew Kira's hair in many... MANY directions. Which resulted in a rather comical display of her fighting with her hair to keep it off of her face.

"Well!" she began with a raised voice over the hum of the nearby engines. "Gotta secure the perimeter! " she gave a point towards the north, south, east, and west. "Gonna need to get about a kilometer and a half of secured space. " she then pointed to the massive crates to her right. She gave one a kick.

"We have sensitive sensory security equipment here that we will use to create that perimeter!" crouching down, she popped one open. "Kinda like stakes, see! Just stick them down on the ground!!"

"But be careful! There are still some Graug forces around... might want to tango a bit!"

Ordo moved slowly over the ugly terrain his weapon ready and his finger on the trigger. He knew they were here. He could taste their stench through his helmet's filters.

He dropped from the flat area where he had landed and began moving down toward a valley. Instead of his jetpack he wore a large pack of extra gear.

He saw the Jedi ships in the distance but he had not planned on them being here for this. He moved down toward the valley floor and a smaller Graug scout popped out of the ground in front of him.

Pop pop pop pop

His assault rifle split the beast head, but now they knew he was here and that was great.

GROUNDSIDE

Now it would be fun, Krag had done as he wanted to do and moved his people but there were still a few soldiers here and there to command. More importantly as she popped her neck and shoulders Balaya stood in full armor prepared for a brawl. Possibly a last stand but she doubted it in the end the sith would rise again and she would make sure she was there to see it even if she had to kill everythign to get to that moment. Her hand went to the large beskad on her back pulling it ouut to hold the claymore style sword with one hand for a moment.

He smiled when she greeted him. "Shall we travel together, or split up?" He asked, while he approached the crate that she had pointed at and had given a kick. He looked closer inside and saw the stake-like things within, and he nodded his head. He knew what they were, and he knew what to do with them. Just place them into the ground simply. Simple. Easy. It was a good day to join the easy team this day.

"I don't even know what a Graug looks like." He said with the makings of disgust in his voice. He figured they would be ugly, just based off of what their names sounded like. Though it didn't really bother him, all species would be ugly to another, and Jedi respected all forms of life. At least he did. Sometimes he wondered how much of a hypocrite he was in his views.

He walked over to the crate and took a few of them out, specifically a hand full and he looked at her. "Which way?"

"Big, brawny, bald, and A LOT of sharp teeth." Kira told Antares, handing him a handful of the sensory stakes. She took a handful herself, "The Graug are pretty strong, and can hold their own against a Wookie."

She gave a small grunt, then nodded towards the north. "Well start up there then work our way clockwise," she instructed, shuffling the weight of the perimeter security stakes in her arms.

"Pretty primitive.. and have a bit of a lightside phobia," yup, all those years having to read articles in the archives paid off. "Apparently the servant classes of the species are almost always guaranteed to flee at the sight of a display of a powerful lightsider. This can only be countered with a strong leader who is potent in the Darkside of the force, or a battlefield riddled with dark energy."

She started to walk towards their destination, explaining along the way, "...Even then, a strong enough lightside presence can be enough to cause the creatures to flee."

They would head towards the north side of the proposed camp, and so far, they didn't have anything to worry about. But that rarely ever lasted. It wasn't long before she'd started to put the sensors on the ground that Kira gave a slight frown. She canted her head to the side a bit, as if to listen a bit closer.

Something was out there. Or at least someone ( @[member="Darth Praelior"] )
