"Mai works" she said to Artemis Verd Artemis Verd with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you. Ive heard of your clan, less so about the Rodarch sorry. I dont really have reason to come to Mandalore." she also said to Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch , holding up her own holo projector that zoomed out to a highlight a thriving planet in a nearby system, a little further than Concord was from them. "This is us, out on Vanquo, its a beautiful planet. It would be nice to set up some trade links when this place is a little more established."

Artemis made some suggestion about going out and camping, cooking fresh food, to which Mairéad raised a little eyebrow... why? There was food here at the bar, and Mairéad had a ship nearby with a fully stocked galley. She supposed that wasn't the point. "Sure, I'm up for that. I think I might pass on the food though I'm off of rare meat the moment... and shellfish, pate... wine... all the good stuff" she laughed and pointed at her alightly swollen abdomen that held her precious offspring, she was showing, but her coat made it less obvious at first glance.

Valery hardly needed the Force to know that her arrival had sparked something. That, at this point, plenty of weapons were aimed her way from positions most wouldn't be able to see. Her senses alerted her to that tension, however, and her Keshian eyes were far more precise than that of other species. She could see their body heat against the cold background, and felt their hearts beating as they kept a close eye on her.

None of it bothered her.

"I came to confirm the news for myself," Valery declared, as her fiery gaze began to wander. She took note of those who had turned to face her, their weapons and stances, but ultimately looked for the newly declared Mandalore.

"I came to meet the new Mandalore on behalf of the Jedi."

Straightening, Ijaat adopted a crooked grin as he watched the plain and naked assessment from Valery Noble Valery Noble . It didn't bother him. If anything, it made him actually think a bit more of her. Almost respect her. Gesturing to himself and broadly around, he spoke with a bit more drawl and grate to his voice. The cultural accent taking over the courtly.

"Well, that would be me. And your face is known to me, Valery. I wondered how long until Coruscant tried to send someone. So speak, and I will answer. Though you may not get the response you expected..."

"He consorts with enemies of our people," Korso scoffed at Mia Monroe Mia Monroe Mia Monroe Mia Monroe after landing near the forge.

Mia rolled her eyes. "Ne'johaa, Korso. Both of us have enough history, ancestral or otherwise to be marked an enemy of Mando'ade. Stay your axe else we will have to take this outside the city where I will show you what sorcery I have at my command." she nodded to Tharil Tharil in thank for her support in quietening the bitter Mandalorian. "We cannot afford to name enemies before they've struck us anymore. We need allies, support and resources to rebuild and restore, either get on board, or go back to the wastes."

Comms chattered in her ear, informing her of the arrival of Treoff Kellak Treoff Kellak and Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr the list of people need to speak to Ijaat was growing. "Jhi," she said softly, in her comms "Watch the Rook, I don't trust him to not do anything stupid."

Stepping past Valery and into the forge she touched Ijaat's arm.
<"There's others to see you, I can bring them all at once, or I can keep them busy?">

Ijaat nodded to Mia Monroe Mia Monroe and smiled softly at the other's approach. Honestly, this was a good opportunity to show a bit of statecraft, and stress to the Jedi present she had little to no say in Mandalore's course, but that Ijaat was also not just another Crusader hungry for blood. He turned as he spoke, grabbing a canteen and drinking deeply of the water therein.

"Bring them all here. The Jedi can say what she needs and all can see I deal with enemies, friends, and unknown equally. No favorites. No pasts...Besides, this woman knows my son, Darius... Don't you, Sword of the Jedi?"

No indication where he considered Valery to stand or what he thought of her visit as he smiled to the woman, this time the grin not touching his eyes, and seeming almost cold and imperious. It seemed to say he saw her as she was but challenged her to reach past likely prejudice of her Order and seem him the same.

"I wasn't sent by Coruscant," Valery clarified rather quickly. "Nor did I discuss this trip with the Council." She stepped forward a little, sparing only a brief glance at Mia Monroe Mia Monroe , who she assumed was quite close to the man in front of him. In some ways, he looked extremely familiar to her, despite not having met him before.

His presence, too.

"I came here because I wanted to meet you in person, and listen to what you have to say. What it is that brought you and your people here together, and how you look at the future." She wanted the truth about what was happening. Perhaps a reassurance that it wasn't another crusade to terrorize the free people of the Galaxy.

"I have met him, yes," Valery said with a smile of her own when he mentioned his son. "He was a pleasant man, and someone I respect." They had their differences, and some of those came to light when they last saw each other. But she still spoke rather fondly of him despite that.

Mia nodded at his request, sparing a wary glance in Valery Noble Valery Noble 's direction. It wasn't fear, more uncertainty of her intent, but she trusted Ijaat and his judgement and she trusted the journeyman tasked with his protection . She moved away, looking for Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr .

She knew he was here somewhere. As she moved she contacted the spaceport. "Have Treoff Kellak Treoff Kellak guided to the Mand'alors forge. He's hosting his guests there."

"All at once?"

"That is his request."

"Understood, Al'verde."

Mia moved through the city, between comms with various overwatch points and breif conversations with the city inhabitants she was able to track Malum down easy enough. She stepped up beside him "Malum." she greeted her tone clipped. "Our Mand'alor would like to meet you, but I should warn you the Sword of the Jedi is also here. If I take you, its is of the understanding that there will be no violence, regardless of how you feel. Understood?"

She was on edge, coiled like a viper. There were too many variable for her to have her eyes on them at once. the situation was utterly out of her control and all she could do was stand back and watch.

The whistling Marr, walking through the streets and alleyways of a rebuilding Keldabe was rudely interrupted as he felt her presence, spinning on his heel in the theatrical manner known to him, he offered a smirk that did not reach his eyes, confirming quickly, that the woman was not here to kill him.

The standard considerations between allies, he assumed.

"So he has gotten over the incident up top, has he?" Ah, then the emotion did come to his eye, referring to the incident of the dreadnought in Moridinae's orbit, "I will admit, I have never received such a rude response to a housewarming gift, but I suppose you Moridinazid were never the most hospitable." His body still had aches and evidence of burns, from that encounter, the Rekindler was certainly an apt description of what the man was.

The mirthful spirit left him as quickly as it came at the end of her words.

"Valery Noble is here?!" He advanced upon her, his eyes blazing with emotions that ran as hotly as he did, the Sword of the Jedi, here, at Moridinae, after the battles on Thule and Odacer-Faustin, "I hate Kaine, and I hate the Kainites, but if your Mand'alor decides to align himself with the Jedi, securing the hyperlanes to Korriban and Dromund Kaas, I will have zero hesitation, to bring the force of the Malsheem to snuff your little experiment out here and now." He hissed out, eyes watching carefully even in this emotional state, he saw how tense she was, she was as ready for battle as he was, for if a battle would break out between cold allies.

It would be now.

Treoff was finally given some word, there would be a meeting at the forges. He wasn't upset, he was a foreigner requesting an audience with a king he felt lucky to meet them the same day he arrived. "I will follow your lead," he said to the guide. He would be patient, and didn't even mind being last to meet Ijaat. Treoff was sure he had more important people to meet.

Beneath her helmet, Mia frowned her head cocked. Was he really that stupid?

"Protectors!" The call rang out, mandalorians around them stopped hands reaching for their weapons. A dozen t-visors settled their gaze on Mia and Malum. She took a step to close the gap between them. "This my home, Malum, you are surrounded by my people. Do. Not. Threaten. Me." For a moment she said nothing, then a gesture of her hand and the people around them carried on what they were doing, only now they all knew his face and his image would be circulating. If he thought Mia had been powerful alone, with mandalorians at her back, she was unstoppable, one toe out of line and he'd never make it out alive.

"Valery was not invited, she just came, like many others. Its been a long time since anyone took the mantle of Mand'alor. People want to see him. I don't trust the Jedi, but we are not going to turn down their aide if the offer it. You want to make sure those hyperlanes stay secure? Then play the fething game and make the better offer. Do not, under any circumstances, lose your temper. Are we clear?"

Eyes left the woman before for a second, looking behind her to confirm the sight of the various Protectors, a dozen that he could make out, perhaps more further back or on rooftops.

A challenge certainly, but not insurmountable.

No, insurmountable would be needing to battle Mia Monroe Mia Monroe along with them through the streets of Keldabe.

Yet, it had not been the first time he had faced insurmountable.

He smirked, seeming to vanish in front of her, as a ghostly voice spoke over the proceedings, "They might know my face, even if it is not true," There was mirth in the air, an inside joke only perhaps known to him, after all, he was not wearing his true face, his eyes hidden, he could have been confused for a Jedi, "Yet can they battle me if they cannot see me?" The voice seemed to sound from everywhere and nowhere, difficult to pin around, as it seemed to circle all those around them.

He reappeared behind her, a mocking smile that did not reach his eyes which were entirely dulled and serious, "I have no desire to play your game, Lady Monroe, make an agreement with the Jedi and Moridinae burns once again, you take threats against yourself and your people seriously, I respect that, so you know exactly how it feels to be told that you will need to negotiate with an existential threat to yourself and your people. I will negotiate, I will be polite, I will be the perfect diplomat," Even the mocking smile was gone now, turning into a sneer by the end, "But if your Mand'alor thinks collusion with the Alliance, with the Jedi, will be allowed to stand, he is sorely mistaken." He finally hissed out.

Before the mask was back in place, a genial smile as welcoming as it was forged, offering an arm towards Mia, as he seemed forcibly relaxed, "Well, as long as we have made ourselves clear to each other, let us not keep your lover waiting," Even with an alliance signed between them, forged without blood or ink, he could not help trying to annoy the woman, there was no gain in it, no support.

Simply satisfaction.

Selle glanced back to the port where her Kom'rks were landed as she made her way through the revitalized city. With the return of the Protectors, several officers of the Sirsahyav had been sent to see how things were playing out. Selle, newly appointed Ver'alor to match her command of the Kad Beviin, had been given a couple of missions of her own - direct from her father the General.

The first was to investigate this new Mand'alor, and she would certainly have plenty of time for that later. While it likely wouldn't be too difficult for her to gain an audience with him, she preferred to earn that honor by drawing attention to herself, which would also fulfill her second mission: drawing new recruits to serve with the Sirsahyav. For that mission, she decided to join the battle circle. As Clan Skern's undisputed Rally Master, It was more a point of pride and honor that she chose this path, to bring the legacy of Clan Skern to bear on those who would accept her challenge.

Arriving at the Arena, she placed her weapons in a locker, carefully placing her shuk'orok with them before encoding the lock to her chaincode. Placing her helmet on her head as she entered the pit proper, she called forth for any who would dare share the circle with her. This is going to be fun.

Marshal, Journeyman Protector

Exiting the Oyu'baat, Arla recieved a text message on her HUD as she replaced her buy'ce. "Excuse me just a moment." She said, before storming off. She barked orders into her comm, quickly arranging to be met enroute to her destination. There was a Sith in Keldabe, and Arla wanted to be there to greet them personally.

Just around the corner from the cantina was the Medfort Hospice that had been set up to provide healthcare and medical services to the people of Keldabe. Arla had stationed some few of her still loyal Black Hand to assist with security. Two of them were on their way to rendezvous with Arla, bringing a pair of packages with them.

Even as the Journeyman Protector came into view of the somewhat confrontational scene, the two loyal Black Hand fell in behind her, each carrying a covered box-like item. Arla recognized the Sith immediately from the sniper's description, even as she saw Mia Monroe. The power rippling off such a confrontation was almost visible.

Until Arla came to stand beside the Sith. In an area around her out to a sphere of several meters, the Force was pushed outward and away, unable to be touched. This was thanks to the packages the two blackhand carried. Nutrient boxes, each with a pair of Ysalamiri lizards inside them. The lizards were rare, since the destruction of Myrkr, but they could still be found, with difficulty or for a great price.

One of the snipers on a nearby rooftop was of Clan Rodarch, and he had passed the word that there was a Sith Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr making threats. Arla's duty as a Journeyman Protector was to at the very least be there to answer them. The presence of Mia Monroe Mia Monroe held her back from taking more direct and permanent action then and there, though she still very much wanted to take this Sith down several pegs.

"Let's get one thing clear, right now. This is Mandalore. Whatever threats you make, Sith, will be carried out posthumously. Keep a civil tone and tongue, or you may find it harder to leave freely than you might wish."

Arla delivered her threat in a matter of fact, calm, almost diplomatic tone that she'd used many times as a noble of House Susni. Her words, though, were those of a Mandalorian of Clan Rodarch, and a Protector.

The tension Mia carried in her shoulders always, lifted as the force null bubble washed over them. She always felt so free within them, like the weight of the galaxy wasn't bearing down upon her. A low chuckle escaped her and she clapped a hand on Malum's shoulder. "You see, here's the difference between you and I, without the force, you are nothing but an ant under my boot. I learned to fight and kill without the force so did everyone you see around you. Keep a civil tongue it your mouth, or you're going to lose it. Last warning."

She patted his shoulder and then turned to Arla, speaking in mando'a. <"Good timing, Arla. Mind escorting him to the Rekindler? There's a Jedi there that I'm sure would appreciate the ysalamiri just as much as this fool. Don't kill him though please. He's of use to me, and I need him alive."> She made to move away pausing and switching back to basic. "Alive doesn't necessarily mean undamaged." Laughing she walked away. Arla could have her fun, maybe Malum would learn a lesson or two and she'd deal with the fallout later.

She headed back to the spaceport, to greet and takeover from Treoff Kellak Treoff Kellak 's guide, extensing a hand to him in greeting. "Su cuy'gar, I apologise we've kept you waiting Mr Kellak. You're gifts are greatly appreciated." She indicated him to follow her, heading for the forge on the other side of the port. "Our Mand'alor has quite the audience today, I promise you will be entertained at the very least."

Was traveling with a guide until a representative seemed to show up and replace the guide. "Same to you," he hoped his greeting would suffice, extending the same gesture, offering to shake if that is how this representative would lead the hand. "And no worries, consider me the least important guest here. I give this meeting the same weight as if I was meeting the Chancellor back on Coruscant, if not more. So even just meeting a representative, I'm glad."

He followed their lead as they gestured him, "If all else fails, however, if I'm not able to meet the supreme leader, I merely wish to extend a helping hand to the efforts here. Equally, I would like to learn of your culture, if that would be permitted. I don't wish to steal it, honestly, I admire it. At most, I would like to learn of your Mand'alor, and decide if I wish to pledge any support or loyalty. I see what they are doing as a good cause, and it's in my upbringing I help those who deserve it. But I would like to meet the man in charge, so to speak, if you understand."

"I came here because I wanted to meet you in person, and listen to what you have to say. What it is that brought you and your people here together, and how you look at the future."

Ijaat nodded as the Jedi spoke, complimenting his son and detailing that it wasn't anything official. He took the time to untie his sleeves and roll up the flightsuit he wore under his armor, closing the garment and pulling plates of armor back onto couplings with a practiced ease that spoke of decades and decades of doing so, an almost mindless comfortability with the task as he then spoke.

"Well that is at least a pleasant surprise. And simple answers. Two things I'm not used to from your kind. As long as you aren't coming to lay foreign edicts on our soil with an expectation of obedience, we can talk a piece. As for what brought us back to Manda'yaim? The very tenants that guide the soul of our people speak of family and home, of the education of our people. Abandoning our ancestral planet for a pale imitation makes little sense. We have ever wandered, true. But since the days of the Taung, we have always called here home, and it's a mistake to disregard that significance. I believe it's what leads to the rotting of the spirit that causes the malcontent crusade you and yours have taken a stand against. And that I am against endorsing as well. But the Protectors? This group? Our main goal is to restore our home, give back the soul of the Mandalorian people, and help bring security and strength to ourselves. Peace isn't the word, not as you would know it translated. But neither is the Crusade that rages. It's a concept of neutrality and reset, until someone steps over our line. We can hardly stand strong on our own with a weak foundation..."

Clipping the helmet on the table next to him, the Manda'lor stood in armor made to look whole, but forged from scraps of lost warriors dead in the cataclysm and in the Sith atrocities afterwards, fused together with bes'manda itself. It would outwardly be bare gunmetal beskar with chunks and veins of golden kyber beskar shot through it, a tribute and testament to the history of his people the last century or so. Hefting a forge hammer from the same table, he dropped said hammer into a holster at his hip-belt and nodded.

"Does that bring understanding to you, jetii?"

Mia smiled "I'm Mia, al'verde - commander-" she corrected to basic. "of the Journeyman Protectors, the Mand'alor's guards and we don't really lean towards the 'supreme leader' feeling your used to. The Rekindler is a first among equals he stands with us, not above us. As for our culture, well, its vast and full of differing views. some of our people are more guarded than others, seeing aruetiise, outsiders as a threat, not to be welcomed. In contradiction, most people who become Mandalorian come into it as an adult, less are born to it than you might think."

She led him across the starport towards the forge, stepping inside, she ushered him in. "Mand'alor, may I introduce Treoff Kellak." she gestured between them "Mr Kellak, Ijaat Mereel, Mand'alor the Rekindler."

As they walked, he nodded, keeping up his best warm and welcoming smile without smiling too hard. He wanted to show he was intently listening. He nearly opened his mouth to correct Mia, as he was only speaking the dorect translation, but he figured not only would she know that, she was explaining anyway for the sake of him knowing. As well, he understood their position with outsiders, even if they all didn't think that way, what little he studied he understood that outsiders always destroyed Mandalore in the end.

He was almost lost in thought as they entered the forge. Mia introduced him to Ijaat Mereel, although it seemed he was in a conversation with a.... a jedi? His face scrunched up slightly to peer at the other. He blinked, realizing well, it was definitely a jedi. All he could think about was another Force User alliance, like all those in the past he read about, and where they lead.

“Bic cuyir ijaa at urcir gar.” He said somewhat quietly; enough that Ijaat would hear him, but not loud enough to demand attention away from the Mand'alors conversation with the jedi. His accent left others wanting more, and his pronunciation was almost perfect. Though he coughed at the end, covering his kouth to clear his throat. Speaking Mando'a certainly wasn't common for him, and speaking it formally to a real Mandalorian... well this is the first time. He bowed his head, clasping his hands behind his back as he waited patiently. The man of the hour was talking, he would give Treoff the floor when he was good and ready.

"I'm not here to impose anything. Merely to listen, and hopefully to understand." They were far away from Alliance space, and she wasn't here on official business. She did hope to learn that they wouldn't become another threat to the Alliance, sure, but she had no interest in serious politics or heavy discussions. It wouldn't go anywhere and only further strain the relationship between the Mandalorian people and the Alliance.

But her worries seemed to be largely unnecessary.

"Rebuilding your home is something I can understand. I never understood why the Mandalorian Enclave abandoned it so," Valery said as she looked around. Then again, so much catastrophe had already ravaged this world.

Perhaps they were worried it would happen again.

"That does bring me to understand, and I hope there's a future without war between the Protectors and Alliance." Both sides could use that, she figured. Valery's eyes then shifted, taking note of Mia returning with Treoff Kellak Treoff Kellak . Another who wanted to meet this newly declared Mandalore, she figured.

"Thank you for your time. I'm sure you have many others to speak to."

The figure of Darth Malum stood unnaturally still as Lady Monroe's hands clapped his shoulder, there was no threat from that avenue he had long ago since calculated, for all that she could speak and threaten, her words were as false as they were empty. Whether or not she liked it, and he could easily surmise she did not like it, Malum had proved his usefulness, and now she considered him an asset too important to lose.

The feeling was mutual as far as he could tell, Malum seemed to believe she was useful, and analysing memories of events on Zanbar and in orbit, he could not deny her skill.

Such was the reason she kept her hand.

Such was the reason he stood quiet and still as she left.

The only one here that would be problematic.

Well apart from the one before him, Force Dead... with Ysalmiri lizards perhaps? Nothing he had not dealt with, yet entirely too rare.

There had been a reason he had not been let out since Fiviune, after all.

He waited patiently, and quietly until Lady Monroe was a far distance away, before Malum's hand crossed into Malum's robes, pulling out the hilt of Malum's lightsabre.

He finally regarded the Moridinizid before him with blue eyes hiding red that were far from the bright glimmer they were known for.

Instead, indeed, they looked quite dead.

"You have unfortunate timing, Mandalorian," The dead eyes bore into the hidden face of the one before him, flanked by troops in black that most others served either Imperial or Sith clientele, not a single emotion revealing themselves, "Malum was quite content to proceed onto negotiations, however, it seems your people's reputation for bellicose behaviour is apt, both against outsiders, and yourselves," There was no emotion in the figure's words, no judgement, only statements, "You may believe you heard whatever you wish, yet when I ignite this lightsabre, I can guarantee it will not reveal me to be what you think I am," He took a step forward, tilting his head up, unblinking, regarding the Mandalore before him, "If Grandmistress Valery Noble is truly here, it would be unfortunate for any miscommunication to occur, that may lead her to assume this party here, is attacking a fellow Jedi," His gaze shifted towards the boxes which those wearing black armour wore, so it would only take the elimination of two lizards and a Mandalorian for his purpose to be done.

Simple.

"Remove yourself from my presence, and take your lizards with you, Malum is more than willing to accept the escort of all others here, as he had agreed to with Lady Monroe," The figure of Malum turned, taking back his original position, yet facing away from the Mandalorian, "The last thing either of us desires would be a diplomatic incident on the streets of Keldabe, I presume."
