  • Role: Slavemaster of Clan Rook
  • Links: N/A
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 62
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: A hardened and weathered man in his early sixties, Guvaith Rook is what one might expect of a Mandalorian who had been exiled for his beliefs; bitter, cruel, and more than a little sadistic. His armor is ancient and pocked with battle scars, a relic passed down from father to son for generations. On his return to Mandalorian society, not much changed for Guvaith as he was given charge of one of the Sith Empire's larger foundries on the subjugated Mandalore. He continued to wear his armor as a source of pride, his faded yellow cloak gliding behind him like a specter's shroud, a feared sight for the countless slaves who toil and die under the crack of his whip.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Guvaith Gar'gaan Rook
  • Loyalties: The Sith Empire; Clan Rook
  • Wealth: Moderately Wealthy
As one of the few Beskar smiths that willingly shared the secret of working Beskar with the Empire, Guvaith has made himself invaluable for the training and effusion of Beskar smithing throughout the Sith-Imperial Corps of Engineers.
  • Second to his talents in smithing was his willingness to partake in the Empire's deplorable slave trade, having founded several slaver groups that were eventually amalgamated into the Empire's official slavery operations.

[*]Notable Possessions:

[*]Beskad
[*]Shuk'orok
[*]Blaster Pistol
[*]Blaster Rifle

[*]Skills:
  • Competent Hand-to-Hand Fighter
  • Skilled Weaponsmaster
  • Felicitous Tactician
  • Able Administrator
  • Beskar Smith

[*]Personality: A power-mad and tactically brilliant weaponsmaster, Guvaith Rook has both the ambition to rule and the cruelty to maintain his hold on the conquered. Under his leadership, slaves of Clan Rook labor whip-crack to whip-crack on frightful siege engines—weapons that will inevitably be turned against the slaves’ families, neighbors, and homes. Having once been exiled from Mandalorian space due to his extremist views on the subjugation of the weak, Guvaith takes great pleasure in exacting retribution against the Clans that had once spurned him; fully embracing the Sith ideology of might makes right.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice:
    Long-Range:
    Blaster Weaponry
  • Jet Pack Rocket
  • Wrist Blasters / Flamethrower

[*]Close-Range:
  • Crushgaunts
  • Beskad
  • Vambrace Blades

[*]Combat Function: Though no longer a frontline warrior, Guvaith Rook still retains all of the skills that made him such a feared warrior. Without an outlet for his violent tendencies, Guvaith has taken to killing slaves in mock-sport for his own amusement and the amusement of his Clan Rook contemporaries. If pressed into battle against a more worthy adversary, Guvaith is more than well-equipped to go toe-to-toe with most warriors of the now defunct United Mandalorian Clans. He'll assail his enemies with long-distance barrages before swooping in on roaring jetpack to engage in fierce close-quarters combat, his beskad often reserved for the killing stroke.
STRENGTHS
  • Fierce Warrior: Before his banishment, Guvaith Rook was an accomplished warrior of the Clans who earned his renown in many battles against the Sith, the Republic, and lesser adversaries across the galaxy. Even after his exile and eventual return, he still remains a fierce warrior tempered by experience and age.
  • Beskar Smith: Guvaith learned the art of manipulating beskar under the tutelage of Clan Rook, who adopted him after he was cast out of his Clan preceding his banishment. He has passed this skill down to others, and had willfully instructed the Sith Empire's most talented metal-workers on this once close-guarded secret.
WEAKNESSES
  • Capricious Despot: Sadistic and cruel, Guvaith is prone to variances in disposition that alter his treatment of those around him. Slaves particularly get the worst of his darker moods, with slaves tortured to death at a whim for the slightest inconveniences. The constant influx of disposable bodies has not helped to curb this rampant sadism.
  • Age: Guvaith is in his early sixties and age has begun to catch up to him, his movements growing slower and slower as his joints erode and his muscles give way. Though his armor helps him to some degree, he's not the same warrior he once was in his youth and as such he has grown more wary and cautious.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Born at the tail-end of the eighth century ABY, Guvaith was raised under the purview of a Clan that has long since shunned him; striking him from their records just as he had stricken them from his mind. Because of this erasure of history, no one other than Guvaith remembers what clan he originally hailed from. What is known is that he was raised like other Mandalorian children before him, taught the disciplines of the resol'nare and groomed to be another warrior to propagate the Clan's many wars.

His first taste of war came during the Imperial-Mandalorian Conflict in 836 ABY, where he narrowly avoided death at the hands of the Sith on Concord Dawn before partaking in a renewed offensive against the barren world of Junction, which had been cleansed of all inhabitants by the cruel hand of the Sith Emperor's Grand Vizier. Though pitted against the Sith, Guvaith came to admire their steadfast adherence to a purely strength-based hierarchy, which subjugated and enslaved the weak while venerating the strong. He recognized many similarities between the Sith and the Mandalorians, but found that the Mandalorians were not as willing to go as far as the Sith in order to secure their future in the galaxy.

The Sack of Dromund Kaas temporarily soothed Guvaith's disillusionment with the Clans, but eventually his appetite for domination grew too unruly for the Clans to tolerate and he was banished from Mandalorian space. Stripped of his Clan name, Guvaith made a living as a mercenary for hire and bounty hunter to whomever paid him the best. He became known as a vicious killer, a butcher that tortured his targets before he executed them, for he never took a bounty that couldn't be returned dead.

His wanderings eventually brought him to Echoy'la, on the very frontier of civilized space. There he reunited with Mandalorians who had, like him, been banished from Mandalore for a multitude of reasons. He was adopted into Clan Rook, and was tutored in the means of Beskar smithing. When the Sith Empire was reborn on Bastion, the newly christened Guvaith Rook was one of the first Echoy'la Mandalorians to pledge his strength to the Sith in exchange for greater glory and wealth.

He proved his mettle by aiding the Sith in expanding their Empire, recapturing many worlds that had been lost to the Clans or the Republic in the last war that rocked the Tingel Arm. For his service he was granted many privileges, though his heart quickly turned to the practice of slavery that was being reinstated across the portions of the Outer Rim under Sith control. The subjugation of the weak was Guvaith's true calling, and he took to the practice with exceptional vigor.

When the Sith invaded and occupied Mandalore, Guvaith was personally called up to oversee one of the Empire's newest beskar foundries on the planet's surface. It was known as the Rizûti Kûts, and it quickly earned its ghoulish name as Guvaith ruled the foundry like a tyrannical despot, eagerly throwing away the lives of the slaves that toiled within the mines and smelters in exchange for a greater output of processed metals for the Empire; earning himself a new moniker.

Gar'gaan.

Iron Hand.
