Alderaan had been a place of refuge for many, but had suffered its own devastation in the past both at the hands of those in recent memory, and the long forgotten times when the planet had been shattered. Even now the planet surely felt the strains of being pieced back together, leaving those who lived on it to reconcile that the past may repeat itself.

These thoughts certainly have become even louder and more worrying in the wake of the Galactic Empire's return to the galaxy. Alderaan itself on the border of the Empire, and with the recent fighting in the Deep Core, that threat has never been more real for the people there. There would be many who could not escape if the war came to Alderaan, and with the losses on Coruscant, the Alliance was already hurting hard. The aftermath of the battle still resolving, worlds reporting in or holding out, and those who couldn't falling to the might of the Empire.

All of this is why Alexandra invited any who needed to recover to her home. There they could heal, rebuild, and reorganized, the opportunity for those she fought beside to improve their skills and connection to the force. The Jedi were not the only ones welcomed, but the GADF and Senators as well would be granted limited access, those who could be trusted and specialized forces being granted access to the vast forest around the compound. Alexandra had asked for her husband as well to help in this process, providing support to anyone who is more concerned with those kinds of preparations and are not injured.

All that said, Alexandra herself would be in her Garden. It was there that she invited Jedi to rest and meditate. The Nexus maintained at the center of the garden, tied to the tree that bore half of her very soul, able to be a source of comfort for anyone who needed it. Injured soldiers, senators and jedi were also welcomed to this place, a location where healing them would be far easier through the force. Traditional medical droids as well hovered out from the infirmary connected to the Garden, a location Alexandra herself had needed during the time when the Garden had been the location for her own Order from so many years ago.

Senators would also be given the chance to talk over the future and worries for their own planets. Alexandra hoped that providing them this safe place where the war could seem so far away yet still in the back of their minds would help them to calmly consider the future. There was also the chance that seeing the effects and harm of the war first hand might push them to help more directly, especially those from worlds like Eshan who likely have experience in combat.

Alexandra waited for those that would show up, ensuring tea and any food was prepared for those that needed it. The Jedi she had reached out to and contacted were the ones she had seen during the battle, but she had made it clear that all were welcome. Of course, landing at her home itself was a bit harder, and instead anyone who arrived would be brought to the estate from the shuttleport in Aldera City. It was a small precaution that her and Noah took to avoid someone easily getting to the shielded and hidden estate, but Alexandra doubted it would be that easy to hide in the future.

Lander's Blaster Pistol, Lander's Prosthetic Arm
Lander would be the first to arrive when Alderaan made itself a refuge once again.

Sacorria had since recovered from ecological crisis, and the aid provided by the rest of the Alliance had brought stability to their food supplies enough to begin exporting again. As an agricultural world, his planet was on the front lines of any crisis. This was no different. When war came to his beloved Alliance, Lander took action. He may not have been a soldier anymore but he was still in service. So, shuttles from the Corellian Sector landed filled to the brim with foodstuffs for refugees.

Anything to ease the pain of an empty belly.

One individual, an Alderaani resident, had opened up her home to those in need. It was commendable and spoke to the hospitality of the Chancellor's homeworld. While his people took began connecting with local volunteers to best distribute their food, Lander set off to pay his respects to the kind public servant who had made her home available. After all, the Alliance was held by people like her.

What Lander found was a lavish home with food prepared for all visitors and space set aside for the weary. He would politely decline these things, of course, leaving them to those that needed it. Before long he found the gardens of the estate, where the hostess was seated awaiting visitors.

"Miss Feanor, I presume?"

Alderaan. This wasn't a planet Shan had expected to be at any time soon. His travels had him going across the galaxy, so he had been unavailable when the battle for Coruscant had happened. There was a small part of him, deep in the back of his mind that thought it would have been pointless for him to be involved. Nothing would have changed in his eyes. The battlefield wasn't somewhere that he believed he was capable in. But he shook his head, trying not to focus on that mindset of his. Instead he had to focus on what he could do. Getting in contact with local hospitals, local doctors and trying to get whatever spare medical supplies they had given out. He still remembered the lesson he had held so long ago, about making stockpiles of supplies on distant planets, ready to be used for moments like this.

Though of course, he needed to be able to take a break. And that's why he found himself on the Shuttle, heading over towards the shielded compound, leaning against the side of the shuttle in thought. That was something he did far too much of recently in his opinion. Thinking. He didn't do enough action. But what could he do? He wasn't offensive. He wasn't the kind to take action first. Shan was reactive. Defensive. It wasn't what the people needed right now. Urgh. There he went against. The Mirialan shook his head, trying not to focus on this thought process, instead turning his gaze towards the compound as it came into view.

He made his way towards the Garden almost immediately. Not that he was hurt of course. Looking at Shan from the outside, he'd look completely fine. But it wasn't externally that he needed healing. Shan had to meditate on himself. There was much he needed to think about, but in a positive mindspace. He was sure that being amongst nature would very much help with that.

INT. ALDERAAN – SHIELDED COMPOUND – TWILIGHT
The security field hisses as it momentarily drops.
Omega Squad steps through.
Boots echo on polished stone. No words. No gestures.
Just presence.
Michael, visor down, jaw set.
Azrael, heavy pack slung over one shoulder like it weighs nothing.
Sariel, head tilts slightly, scanning every shadow.
Raphael, towering and armored, arms crossed like a wall.
Jeremiel, last in, a silent guardian at the rear.
They don’t approach anyone.
They don’t have to.
They walk with precision—like a storm remembered.
Some Jedi look up. A few padawans go still. GADF soldiers lower their voices.
The squad reaches a quiet spot by the far wall, backs to duracrete, facing the room.
They sit—not slumped, but ready.
And for a moment—

FLASHBACK — CORUSCANT | THE RUINS OF THE TEMPLE STEPS | NIGHTFALL

Ash still hangs in the air.
A broken world watches in silence.
Connel Vanagor walks forward, soot-streaked and bloodied, his father’s massive form cradled in his arms.
Caltin Vanagor’s robes are scorched. His armor cracked.
But even in death, he looks... serene. As if he chose this.
Connel doesn’t look left or right.
He walks—through lines of Jedi and soldiers.
Some stand in salute. Others can’t bring themselves to meet his gaze.
Behind him, Omega Squad fans out. Silent. Steady.
Not protecting. Not guarding. Walking with him.
The youngest Vanagor doesn't cry. Not here.
But there’s a fire in his eyes that was never there before.
One step. Then another.
And in their silence, there is commanding presence.
A warning to the galaxy:
This is what sacrifice looks like.
And this is what it creates.

BACK TO PRESENT — ALDERAAN COMPOUND

Omega sits. Still silent.
No blasters drawn. No sabers lit.
Just five warriors... and the space they've claimed.
People know better than to interrupt.
But if they did?
They’d find they were welcome.
Because sometimes, the most broken men are the ones who hold up the sky for everyone else.
And sometimes, they just need a wall to lean on.

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
It still burned. He could feel Alexandra's light still coursing through his veings, trying to purge the darkness he had welcomed in. His eyes still held a touch of the crimson that had formed in his gambit to weaken the sith. It hadn't worked. Not as well as he had intended, at least. But it was another skill he could add to his repertoire, even as he now tried his best to purge its results from his soul. For now, Vulpesen knelt in the garden with the jedi, a splotch of oil on white silk as he tried to bleed away the darkness.

He surrounded himself with the life of the flora and called it to himself, asking the spirits of nature to purge away the evil that infected his core. "That... was not fun."

"Gotta say, boss... you've looked better. Ain't even bleeding and you look like something an arlusk drug through the muck."

"Thank you Garlan..."

"You're welcome boss."

Vulpesen rolled his eyes at the candor of his commander. At the very least, they had done their jobs. He and Alex were alive. Which was more than could be said about some others. The news of Caltin's death had stung. The man had seen Veradune when it had first began to blossom into the planet that Vulpesen now ruled over with pride. If only he had been able tor return to see his error. To see the beacon of hope that the Zorren people had become. It was just another great loss for a few minor victories. But at least Vulpesen, and those around him, lived. Coruscant would stand. it would survive. It had survived countless incursions and invasions before hand. And some day, hopefully some day soon, it would return friendly control.

Thress had not been present on Coruscant. Though he did not wish for it to be lost as it had been, or the other worlds of the core, to people who so strongly broke from the Spiral, he could not bring himself to be on that world. Everything about it was decay or death. Very little alive called the place home aside from its inhabitants, and even they had seemed distant from the vibrant selves they could have been had they embraced the natural world. This was especially so for the denizens of the lower levels, whom rarely even saw natural light. How their bodies remained functioning he did not know, as, to his understanding, most of them required vitamins from natural light.

No, he wanted to help, in his own way, but he could not be there.

He was, however, present on Alderaan, amongst the flourishing forests and gardens. Here there was some level of harmony with the Spiral, even if it was obstructed by the dead structure where the locals resided. The most interesting place he had been to, by far, was the location of the Tree of Light. It felt like home to him. From it he could feel the call of the Spiral, even though he was far away from Selen'Kaath, and even though his world was not of this galaxy. It was mysterious to him how that worked. Perhaps if he communed with it, he would come to know.

"Ka'zaan kri'seth thri, xel'vai kaan'tek thrakka'lin?"

Having skittered his way up into the branches of the tree itself, he was aware that others were present not far away. Some were meditating. Some were silently grieving. All were in a state that made for poor decision making. He perched on the branch of the tree and wondered if there was a way for him to help them to see the truth of the Spiral. If they understood that taking things slow, that allowing themselves the time to think, would let them make proper and rational decisions then they would be far better off than those who had just bested them. Life wasn't always about winning and losing battles such as these, it was about finding the balance and peace to withstand the losses, no matter how painful they were.

For the moment he did not speak to anyone nearby, just watching, feeling, communing with the tree itself.

Arrived in: DD-Series Escort Shuttle

Wearing: Enclave's Guardian (Dark Blue)

Armed With: Nathan's Jedi Lightsaber, Bacta-Works Capture Pistol

He didn't show it, but his duel with Thomas Barran Thomas Barran still occupied his mind.

The biggest irony of that whole battle was that no one knew he had been aboard the Sepulchre to make a bid to destroy the ship. No one knew he had gone out of his way to have his forces evacuate as many from the temple and the Senate Rotunda as possible.

And once again, the sheer chaos of conflict had shielded his efforts. Eye witness accounts of the Clones would be lost, buried in the mad scramble to evacuate the Core. More hearsay. More rumors. Nothing solid.

Nathan's face was stoic, impassive as he stepped off the shuttle. He wore a variation of the Jakku Enclave robe and poncho set, colored a Dark Blue, silver hilted lightsaber dangling from his belt.

There was no question about it. His Clones needed an update to their gear across the board. Their skill had taken them as far as it could. Now they needed better gear to reflect the quality of soldier, and he was still working out how to do that.

He played his duel with Thomas over and over again in his mind. He had been holding back, not wanting to show too much of what he knew. He had barely used any Force Powers in Thomas. It had been mostly pure blade work.

The reminder of the death of Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor lanced through that duel.

He had always thought it would be Caltin who might eventually discover what it was Nathan did in his off time. Had always thought it might be Caltin who might one day come with the cuffs and those storm eyes that said stand down more than his voice would.

Nathan would have had no choice but to surrender. Because the alternative was to go to an unwanted war with the very society and order he was breaking every last rule to try and protect.

The thoughts of Braze Braze and his situation also haunted Nathan constantly since escaping the Coruscant battle space, when it was clear all was lost. He had been severely brainwashed from what Nathan had sensed. Commanded to fight his own.

His adoptive Mother, Magdalena Bloodscrawl Magdalena Bloodscrawl had 'programmed' him as well, but only because the alternative would have been to leave him a blank vegetable: The process she had used to save his life wiped his mind of data back in the Gulag Era. Though his memory had eventually returned, and Magdalena had finally started to understand just why her process was so deeply questionable on a moral level, she hadn't done what she had done out of malice, and she never resorted to such a process unless all other methods had been definitively exhausted. It was further complicated by the fact Magdalena genuinely loved him as a Son and had tried to jog his memory of his past even as a Deputy out of that love.

But whoever had brainwashed one of the only actual friends in the Jedi that Nathan had ever cared to make had thought of only making a slave of him. Nathan wanted to find Braze, and he also wanted to find whoever had hurt Braze on that level and put a few bullets in them. Not out of vengeance.

But simply for the sake of appropriate punishment.

(THIS PLAYS)

Nathan needed time to think. Needed time to figure out how to help Alderaan because he knew the Sith were coming for this world eventually. If Alderaan fell...

Nathan didn't even want to think of that possibility. He intended his army to be fully ready the next time.

They wouldn't hold Coruscant forever. They had pissed far too many people off.

Syd and his Mother had slipped off planet, going their separate ways. His private apprenticed had escaped with their lives. They had evacuated many Jedi who were not in a position to try questioning who was getting their badly injured bodies out of the warzone. And many who were not injured at all still didn't have time to question...it was either uncertainty with the clones, or certainty with the empire.

It would add up, eventually. Someone in the order would try to track down the Clone Army leader.

But one thing was becoming abundantly clear:

The leadership had completely dropped the ball. How could the Empire have succeeded in taking the core when LITERALLY surrounded by the whole of Alliance territory?

Nathan knew. The worthless, complacent, corrupt Senate his men had bled out trying to save as many inside as they could. A Jedi Order who, no matter how many times this same damn thing happened, never learned from.

It was their own home turf, and they had been utterly humiliated, their temple burned, the Dark Side Nexus they had never bothered to try purifying unleashed in full.

There was only so much he could do. And while he did not regret saving those lives with his clones, he found himself holding the Chancellor, Alicio Organa Alicio Organa , completely responsible for this failure. It was his leadership, therefore, the blame fell on him.

His path carried him to the Temple of the Gray, towards the Force imbued tree that was a central attraction.

He drew no comfort from it. So many lives lost. All because the ones around him cared more about the P.R. War than winning an actual war. About feeling good about themselves.

For a half second, he started to understand how his daughter, Laertia Io Laertia Io , could want to rebel against them. All he had seen at the battle space at Coruscant was insanity.

A tiny thought stirred in the back of his skull as he stared at the tree;

Am I gonna have to take this entire motherfether over from within to save it from itself?

He tried to dismiss the thought, what he was considering attempting in this moment of doubt and desperation.

Only Palpatine had ever pulled it off. He was no Palpatine.

But could he do it?

Could his motives remain pure if he tried?

There had to be an alternative. Some way to convince these people to save themselves, he thought immediately after thinking that extremely dangerous thought.

He didn't want to be part of the problem. He wanted to be part of the solution.

Except the Solution, as defined by the NJO...

...had cost them the Core. Had cost them thousands of lives.

Nathan stared at the tree, a flicker of uncertainty playing across his face for a split second before hardening into his typically grim, humorless expression.

There had to be a way out of this conundrum that didn't risk warping him into one of the very threats he was trying to oppose. He barely knew how to handle the power he had already acquired, and trying to find some way to silently seize control of key areas of Republic leadership...he could risk destroying everything he had built. It was bad enough someone would eventually find out who wasn't sympathetic to his aims. But if he dared attempt pulling a Sidious? He knew full well no mercy would be shown if he was caught trying that.

And he didn't want to try that to begin with.

Nathan continued staring at the tree, trying to soothe away his concerns, to momentarily forget his doubts...

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
For Alexandra, this Garden, this estate that her home had become was something far different than any other place to her. It was a place where she was truly whole and for those who knew what her being looked like normally, they would see something different in her here. Her form normally a mix of bright light and cold areas that seemed to have no life at all was instead unnaturally bright. Her body almost seemed to merge into the tree itself that she sat infront of, threads falling from the tree and skewering through her as they almost seemed to become her nervous system itself.

Except, that was only through the Force that one could see such a thing. For the Senator that came before her, that stood there and greeted her, she would just smile in return and bow her head. Her right hand raising to place a first over her heart as she did, a old habit from when she used to serve with the Republic Remnant. As she did this, it would likely only be then that Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart might notice someone was actually right to her side, behind her and on her left next to the tree.

Adara Raxis Adara Raxis , a woman who Alexandra considered as her own child would be there. They seemed to be simply sitting with Alexandra, but in truth Adara was there to help with the corruption her being had suffered within the flow of the Force. The Nexus and the influence of Darth Bellum Darth Bellum had left deep scars on her spirit, having detached herself from her body for those moments within the Nexus and in combat with the man, she had suffered the wounds that attacked her very soul. That damage meaning that Alexandra's left arm could no longer move as it sat in her lap, and her voice was strained and hurt to use.

Adara was one of the very few she trusted that could deal with such corruption, though the process would take months if not years to truly fix.

Instead she would smile, looking now towards Shan Shan and Vulpesen Vulpesen as they arrived too. She hoped those two could help others, hoped that they were both able to recover as well themselves. The fighting in the Deep Core had been on more than just Coruscant, especially on Tython when the Massacre there had taken even some of their youngest generation from the New Jedi Order.

For the two Jedi, they would feel the warmth of the Tree, the Light coming from it and flowing out into the force. The strength of the Lightside Nexus reflecting in the tree itself which seemed to have channels of light running up its trunk and out to the leaves.

Even those like Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor and his men would find some comfort and softness to simply sitting against the wall, her gaze turning on them and nothing but a understanding sadness in her eyes as she hoped they would be able to continue on and protect the worlds of the Alliance. She knew well that things were likely only to get worse going forward before they got better after all.

As Thressik Marn Thressik Marn made their way into the Tree though, they would find that it felt almost human thanks to half of Alexandra's soul being imparted into it. It was her other half, her being that now warmed and welcomed the soul of the Jedi who had decided to come so close to it. It soothed even the smallest concerns and fears and pushed them to continue and uphold the very beliefs they held in their core.

"Yes, I am Alexandra Feanor, I hope that your travel here was easy." She would finally respond to Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart as she continued to sit there, waving for him to sit before her and to her right. She did not wish for him to stand when there was no need to do so, and while he may be no Jedi, she did believe he would even find being in her garden to be soothing.

It was Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl who her eyes eventually moved to after offering Lander a seat, looking into his eyes and staring. She would feel such doubts, such worries, such... coldness all too clearly in her home. Her hand moving towards him, holding her hand with her palm up as if welcoming Nathan over to them.

"You... please come here." She would ask, just loud enough to not hurt her voice too much as even now the few words she spoke were clearly filled with pain. She could only speak for so long before the pain would start to affect her more significantly, but she did not worry as Adara could help her there. Her wonderful daughter who had been shouldered with so much due to her upbringing. Those who could look in the force would likely see that Adara was as far from Alexandra, dark as a void and yet the tree and it's aura seemed to divert away from Adara for the most part. Not all of it could avoid her, but it was almost as if Alexandra was protecting Adara from the lightside influence of the tree itself, keeping her dear daughter from being harmed in a place so antithetical to her.

Adara: by Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor

There was one among the Force Users at the Tree, who had no business in the Light. Adara Raxis, daughter of Alexandra's deceased wife Mand'alor the Infernal, an abomination of the Dark sat beside Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor cradling her mother's infected left arm. If she concentrated on the Dark inside Alex, the conflagration of Light around her didn't scathe the young woman as much. Still, Adara lived inside her mother's protection.

Maybe children always did.

The corruption didn't terrify, it sang to the Darkling, whose black sclera and red irises stared at the infernal nexus energy in an attempt to study and unwind it. To leech the poison from her only living mother's wound. Crackles of red energy surged between Adara's fingers and Alex's useless arm, drawing the Dark in through Adara's pale hand along black tinted fingers.

That was, until Raya stuck her face up between Adara and Alex and low whistled.

"Concentration, Raya. Have you heard of it?"
Adara didn't look up at the young woman, whose silver hair bobbed with natural curls and brushed against Adara’s forehead.

"Con-cen-tration…" Raya hopped down from the low limb of the tree she hung from, caught her feet with a stumble and pursed her lips. "Oh! I know that one! Yes! Yes, I've heard of concentration."

"… so let me concentrate. Mother, I do hope you enjoy our time together. You'll be having a lot of it to cleanse this."

"Right… whooooo there's a lot'a…" Raya tapped her lips with two fingers, slowly moving in a circle to see the people peppered through the usually calm compound. "… sandwiches. I'm'a make sandwiches. Lots of… sand… wich…es…"

The Light Sided Echani youth wandered off to the nearest kitchen, where Alexandra and Noah's daughter Cahira had already coordinated a soup kitchen with the help of compound droids and Clan Corek aides.

Halfway to the kitchens, Raya stumbled garden bed and into a padawan near Shan Shan and Vulpesen Vulpesen . "Whoop! Oh hiya! I'm Raya!"

The padawan looked up at the curious girl, as she bent down to offer a hand. "You look a lil ragged. Do you need a sandwich?"

"Ah…"

"Oh! You're hurt! That's not awesome, here."
Raya got on one knee and offered her hand. The curious Padawan reached, and Raya breathed deep. A lovely and warm sunshine sensation poured from the Light Sider, swirled around the Padawan and healed at least the physical wounds. "There… now… sandwich?"

"Mrs." Adara looked up at Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart , a passive, not unpleasant look to the Sithling's face. "Mother's a married woman. Regardless, welcome Sir. Please let me know if you require anything it is within my station to provide. I am Queen Adara of Mazara, but you may address me as Adara. I'm just a daughter today."

Adara's gaze snapped to Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl . If Alexandra called him, there was reason the Epicanthix could discern only through reason and time. What would the man make of an unapologetically Dark Sided young woman nestled by Alex’s left side? "Mother would like you to commune with her Tree. Please, do respect her wishes."

"Yes, I am Alexandra Feanor, I hope that your travel here was easy."

"No complications. Considering the last few days everything was smooth," Lander expressed. "Lander Stalwart. I represent Sacorria. I'm here to pay my respects. Community service in a time like this should not be overlooked."

"Mother's a married woman. Regardless, welcome Sir. Please let me know if you require anything it is within my station to provide. I am Queen Adara of Mazara, but you may address me as Adara. I'm just a daughter today."

"Ah, right," Lander frowned. "Apologies."

That was like the simplest mistake one could make. It had been an awfully long last few days though. His mind was scattered. Lot's of folks were having the same issue.

"I'm not here because I require anything," he stated. "I represent an agricultural world, one which has brought food for refugees. I am looking for places where it can be safely distributed, and your estate was very quickly brought to my attention. In short, I would like to offer resources."

Nathan stared at the tree, and found no comfort in staring. Worries about his friend Braze Braze , the kind of example he was setting for Thel Bloodscrawl Thel Bloodscrawl , his adopted son, the absolute slaughters at Tython and Coruscant that he knew could have been avoided if someone, somewhere in this damned Alliance with enough power and influence had decided to stop playing nice.

If only someone in charge had been willing to be a bit more of a bastard, they wouldn't be in this situation. All those people on Coruscant wouldn't be facing the boot of the Empire on their necks.

Nathan had long been of the opinion that pain and a shattered ego was often a better teacher of Jedi than their own Master at times. Their softness had made the slaughter easier.

A slaughter he didn't wish to see.

They needed War Jedi. Not mere Guardians. Guards could be overcome. Guards were often stationary...

War Jedi had to be willing to kill and live with the consequences.

Nathan was one of those types. He had been immersed in asymmetric warfare since he was a teenager. Since he was fourteen he had killed people in excessively violent and gory ways, often to make sure the Sith could not triumph, at least not completely.

A whole new doctrine was needed to fight the empire and retake the Core. Jonyna Si Jonyna Si had the right idea but Nathan knew she would have to become far more ruthless if she wished to be effective. Not that he wasn't willing to help...

And when it came to warfare, Nathan was the type who fought to win. To destroy the enemy utterly. Saw Guerrera with a Lightsaber.

As Nathan stared at the tree, he heard Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor and Adara call out to him.

He turned, still with that grim expression, gained from a life of never ending warfare. He glanced at Adara, sensing the Darkness, but did and said nothing. Too many people here would kill her if she tried anything and Nathan was too exhausted from the constant death and destruction he had seen and inflicted at Tython to be concerned about her presence.

Mother eh? he thought privately in regards to Alexandra.

Seems we both have something in common...daughters fully immersed in Darkness, and likely irretrievable because of it. he thought to himself cynically.

Nathan went over to her with a stiff walk, and a thousand parsec stare. He didn't look at Alexandra, more like it seemed he stared through her.

"I presume you are the chief instructor of this Enclave?" Nathan asked. "I'm Nathan Bloodscrawl. Jedi Guardian."

And a Guerilla, and an Assassin. And a Husband and Father. And a psychological wreck, and a few other things. he thought in private, careful to keep those musings buried in the very core of his mind where they would not be at risk of being detected.

"Is there something I can help you with?" he asked formally...

"No apologies necessary, Sir." Pale red lips pulled upward in a dainty smile. "Thank you for your time, Senator, I presume. You'll have to excuse Mother, her voice is a tad overcome."

Adara looked to Alexandra, her dark eyes gleaming. A potential for trade? The politics of aide offered? Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart couldn't have said a more fitting siren song to Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor 's adopted daughter.

"You know Mother, this would give Cahira something to do. Aren't you and Buir always telling her to choose a path? It would keep Cahira and her friends out of trouble."
This sort of negotiation is something Adara lived for.

"Safe distribution from your world to Alderaan and other refugee sites, with safe travels back? Or the safe distribution of goods and aide from the Corek-Feanor Compound? I'm confident a fair arrangement can be struck." The energy around Adara continued to waiver like a mirage on a desert world, "I commend you on your kindness. Please, do tell more."

Adara continued to hold her mother's arm, leeching out the poisonous Dark slowly, seeping it into herself.

The Jedi Guardian seemed, if she could be a judge of character, distraught. It would be fitting after such a battle, and as the Darkling searched him, she wondered how far his grief, if it was grief and not as Raya thought a need for sandwiches, went.

Where did Raya Najwa Zambrano Raya Najwa Zambrano get to? Raya could take care of herself.

Was the Guardian like so many other Jeti'ise throughout history, who stepped three paces forward only to fall? Or was this a form of decorum Adara was ignorant of? Ultimately, Adara knew nothing of the man, and could only suppose based on commonly available factors.

Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl wouldn't dare attack, not while she was protected by her mother. It was an intriguing study, nonetheless.

"Home. The Corek-Feanor Compound is a home, not an enclave. One with a… unique garden, although Mother is a talented Master and would make a fine instructor, you're not wrong. Perhaps we can convince her, Jetii Guardian Bloodscrawl. It would be to Jetii benefit."
Adara sought her mother's eye, sensing outward to dive past Alex's wounded voice.

"Perhaps Mother urged you over to help you? I don't think you and I need to bandy about the nature of the Dark, we've lived it, haven't we? Maybe, the fact you're here after a massive and tragic battle is enough for me to suppose a conflict within, Jetii. If I'm mistaken, I do apologize. I have no talent for telepathy. Mother attracts lost causes, and reminds us all who seek have a path to balance. This is a place of healing, there is no war here, but there is wisdom from a woman far braver and smarter than I."

Alexandra for her part did maintain a more passive state. The damage to her voice was quite severe even if there was no physical wound that showed, the damage like a snake wrapped tightly around her neck in the unseen world. It would tighten its grasp, sink its fangs in deeper every time she tried to speak and as a result it left her with a somewhat pathetic visage as Adara needed to speak on her behalf. She could atleast coordinate her thoughts through looks, small movements, things that Adara would surely have learned to read over the many years that Alexandra had acted in such a capacity as Adara's mother.

Her daughter seeking more information though on such a trade was something that Alexandra was thankful for. The extent of what she would have stated was simply that other worlds surely would need the food more. While Alderaan was sure to get its own share of refugees, she doubted the planet would keep those people on the planet for very long in order to get them to a further, safer, world. After all, Alderaan was essentially on the front lines now, even if a battle hadn't actually been fought yet.

It was Nathan who Alexandra would have had more to respond to, but Adara handled it for the most part. Much of her family knew that she believed this corner of the world that she had carved out to be her own was a long effort and one she did not think earned such a title as an Enclave. Her limited connections to the Order in the first place would make such a title for her home hard to believe, and calling her Chief Instructor was far too much.

Sadly, it seemed now was the time Adara sought to push on Alexandra to take such a role, or atleast to lean into the way she had taken on many in the past.

"Adara... Mr Bloodscrawl... please I am simply a Mother who helps to support the Jedi Order when I can." She would struggle to keep the words level and the pain from the words hidden. She maintained a more humble view of her place, thinking on it for a bit more before smiling to Nathan.

"But, she is correct, please, sit and rest. I know well how battle can wear us down." She would continue to smile, releasing her hold on the Tree's nature a small bit so that it would wash over Nathan, pull him into the warm embrace as well as welcome Lander to settle in a bit more with them beneath the limbs of the tree above them.

He watched as those nearby interacted with one another in a tone of familiarity. These were all unfamiliar people to him. He knew the species of majority present was called human, but that didn't mean a lot to him, being as he did not originate in this galaxy. He was old enough to remember the old one, and part of him missed it. The life he had lived there had been far more in tune with the Spiral than his life now. It all seemed far more chaotic in this galaxy. So much egoistic focus.

One clawed hand lifted to scratch at his cheek. He didn't have an itch; chitin didn't itch. It was more of an idle fluctuation. But he did have a feeling edging through him, brought by the Spiral that caused him to look at the tree again.

"T'khaa? Thri no'vaan ss'tel t'khaa kaan'reth. Kaan ze'lai… xii'tara?"

Tilting his head and chittering slightly, he watched the woman in the group as she spoke with those around her. The presence of darkness, of twisting of the Spiral, inside of the small one did not go unnoticed, but he had no interest in confronting them about it. It would take him a lot of contemplation on how to properly do so and that meant not speaking on it now, but perhaps when next they met.

What he was really focused on, was the fact that the woman was the tree, and the tree was the woman. He didn't understand how that was so, perhaps more contemplation would enlighten him.

"Yuu... kkt arr dheh... treeee?" he asked in his broken form of basic, caused by his internal mandibles.

He was speaking to Alex, though somewhat holding back in doing so because he didn't really want to interrupt their conversation. However, the Spiral had gifted him with knowledge, and that knowledge had given rise to more questions. Questions needed answers.

Jetii, she said.

Mandalorian, he realized.

[There's no war here yet] Nathan replied in perfect Mandalorian, with a flawless Keldabe Inflection to Adara Raxis Adara Raxis as well as Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor , for it was absurd not to presume she knew the language her daughter spoke.

He was clearly not Mandalorian. And clearly never had been. The possibilities of how he had come to speak the language so perfectly were few...

To be polite, Nathan sat down as directed.

He switched back to to the language of Basic.

The Tree energy, despite washing over him, provided no comfort. His mind was laser focused on how to evacuate Alderaan. And how to buy time for everyone here. When the Sith came this tree would burn. The Royalty? They could burn with it as far as he was concerned. The main population was the higher priority. As well as the lives of everyone in this place.

"It only gets tougher from here. Unless some method can be found to successfully defend Alderaan, we'll be looking at another repeat of Coruscant..." Nathan said idly to himself.

"Worse than that, more than likely..."

He still took no comfort in the tree. All he could think of were battle scenarios, coldly calculating the consequences of failure. Soon he would return to his family. But his mind would keep dragging him back to the battlefield. He could only pretend to be normal around them so long in his current state.

"We could always use instructors, Master Feanor..." he said with a sigh, "But it's just as well for you to remain in your current position. It's not a good time to be full time."

"After all, we just lost a large number of them..." he ruminated. "The price of complacency, I suppose..."

He looked at Alexandra.

"You seem...unwell..." he noticed out loud to Alexandra..."

"I don't really mind the specifics as long as resources get to where they need to be," Lander expressed. "Not long ago my planet was in crisis. I... wish to repay the aid my people recieved. Whatever you all deem as appropriate."

Lander was a bit out of his depth when it came to the discussion on Force things. Nathan Bloodscroll's comments sort of went over his head initially. He was just a guy who grew up on a farm and went to war. The monk stuff sort of was lost on him, much as he tried to understand.

But he did feel something. It made his mechanical hand twitch a little. For a moment he felt the organic hand again before the sensation vanished, the ghost of his lost limb flaring up again. Then a few more things were stated.

"Yuu... kkt arr dheh... treeee?"
"You seem...unwell..."

"I'm... afraid all of this is rather lost on me," Lander admitted to all the Force sensitives equally. "But... if you are willing, I would like to understand."

At least, he'd try his best.

"Excellent. It sounds like your provisions will be best scattered about multiple positions. I'm certain Mother or Noah Corek Noah Corek knows the right people to ensure they reach those places. My sister can help coordinate, it is good of you. Isn't it, Mum?" Adara searched for Alex's approval, trying as she might to say what Alex would if she'd been healed. Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart

"Oh pish-posh, mother. You've a talent to train your children well enough to get us out of all sorts of sticky situations. Junior would be dead and bone meal by now if you hadn't taken a rigorous care to his education." Adara's lips quirked. "Mum's being modest. She can help you… and if it's not rude of me to say, it seems like you need it. I do not envy your predicament, but I do recognize it."

Adara's head quirked to the side at perfect Mando'a inflection coming from Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl . It wasn't often outside the odd conversation with Buir she heard the tongue anymore.

[The planet breathes. War exists. What is life without conflict?] An acknowledgement of his linguistic skills and nod to the effort, Adara pursed her lips. Battles and wars, frontlines. It was always her mother's business. While Darth Prazutis Darth Prazutis ensured his little experiment's education was thorough, the strategy of saving worlds lingered too close to the tasks that left Adara's mother skewered in two. "The Force is all a bit much, isn't it Senator? Light, Dark, in between… it's like… explaining where the wind comes from."

"Jetii... you have no reason to listen to the dar'jetii daughter of a disgraced Mand'alor, but... I learned something, watching her Mandalorian Empire burn to soot. All those worlds, the cityscapes… civilizations glassed…"
Adara swept her hand over the corruption in Alexandra's arm, pulling up a crackling surge of Dark energy and letting it settle into her own skin with a timid shiver. "At some point, the civilians need to recognize they are within a Galaxy with the means and technology to rescue and defend themselves, even if all it gives them is a braver death. If they haven't seen the news enough to exercise prudence and get out of the line of fire, I don't think that's on you, even if it does you credit to care. Maybe the good Senator here can help. Regardless…"

"My birthmother defended her way into the grave, pouring over space lanes to find exit strategies that became infinitely meaningless once the barrages began. She ought to have fought back much sooner than she did… but the end result would have been the same. All governments meet their beginnings, middles and ends. All to create new life. The Force is not a linear wave surging from supreme goodness to unconscionable depravity. It is a symbiotic organism. Life, death, decay, fertile soil sprouting life… whether this battle or the next, conflict will always come. None can be innocent of it without putting two helpings on the head of some... well meaning but tired looking Jetii, who then goes about carrying triple on his shoulders. To exist is to be caught in a clockwork of conflagrations. If you worry for your people, take time to be your best. Fight as ruthless and hard as you can, there is no greater testament. And if they decide, for whatever reason, they can't even lift a pulse rifle, or pilot to a safer system, their choices are not on you. Is detachment not part of the Jetiise way? Can you fight effectively against the coming onslaught if your mind… isn't… clear?"

Something… was in the Tree. A few branches ruffled, and something rather large caught the corner of Adara's pitch black eyes. She looked up.

Adara's face finally broke into the wonder of an almost fully grown child seeing a new and amazing thing. Blinking twice, the Dark's daughter tugged her mother's arm and fell short of pointing at Thressik Marn Thressik Marn . "Oh…"

It wasn't often the young royal was lost for anything. While there were an astounding amount of species in the Galaxy, Adara's relatively confined childhood and adolescence poured through in a bit of wonder. Maybe the safety of being tucked beside Alex with a veritable supper of corrupted energy to dine on, let Adara be what she was. A youth barely out of her adolescence, by Epicanthix standards.

"Ah… oh, yes… um… am I hallucinating or do you lot see…"
Adara rubbed both eyes and looked back up to the tree and there he was, a being Adara could say with confidence she'd never seen before. "Goodness gracious me... hullo there."

Alexandra smiled as she listened to the words being spoken by her guests and by Adara Raxis Adara Raxis . They had such a wide range of how to see the situation, and their presence reflected that as she closed her eyes for the moment and reached out. She looked through them, into them and as if with an unseen hand pulled at the threads that made them up. She did not delve too deeply and for Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart she would simple smile as she opened her eyes and nodded.

She knew well that talking about all this stuff regarding the force probably sounded like mumbo jumbo explaining powers that were antithetical to reason at times. To control temperature, phase through solid materials, stop energy with their bare hands, and move items at will with nothing but a thought. All those small things compared some of the grandest displays of power that existed and darkest powers that manifested in the world around them thanks to the Sith who had brought such destruction.

"Think of it as a weapon no different from your blaster." She would offer to Lander, minimizing what the Force was for their understanding. She did not think that it was important to try and explain what Nathan and Adara were talking about, nor to get into the messy history that has her soul tied to the tree they sat before. Something that she noticed the Ant like being had picked up on, someone and something that had drawn her attention too like Adara before making laugh a bit behind her right hand when Adara spoke with wonder she hadn't seen in such a long time.

"You look much younger right now, my wonderful child." She would state, keeping her voice light and soft as she could before looking towards Thressik Marn Thressik Marn once more and nodding.

"I am, I planted it, bound myself to it, and nurtured it for the last hundred years." She would state, letting Adara explain more so that her voice was not further strained and the pain was not made worse. The parasitic dark pulling at her being and the signs clear on her face as she looked a bit paler after even that little bit of conversation. She dared to not test it further by speaking on her being an instructor and guide for others in the Jedi, especially given her own abnormalities in her teaching and understanding of the Force.

As for her being unwell, she would frown very lightly and nod to Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl , confirming that she had been injured, though not physically as there showed no significant signs of broken bones or a damaged limb. It was only through the force the extent of the corruption could be seen on her.

"Senator... I hope to be working beside you soon." She would state though, making it clear her intention to serve in a greater capacity in terms of the Alliance's politics. The first time she expressed such an interest, though Vulpesen Vulpesen might have heard her musing about it before in the leadup to the battle on Coruscant.

Vulpesen. That was a face Shan hadn't seen in a long time. And he didn't even seem to have aged. A small smirk played on Shan's face. He still remembered the days where he had went over what the druid had taught him. But there was another lesson that he had come to realise that Vulps had given him. Not one about powers, or techniques. Not about animals. No. About your identity. Vulps wasn't a Jedi. He was still a part of the Light, part of the Alliance...but he wasn't a Jedi. That was Shan's problem. He was pushing himself so hard to be something he wasn't. He could be a Jedi in times of peace...but when it came to wars? Shan crumbled. He couldn't give his all to a cause like that. At the end of the day, Shan couldn't be a Jedi when he needed to be one.

And so. That helped the Mirialan to make a decision. It was not some grand statement or grand act for him but from this point on, Shan was no longer a Jedi. He was not a Guardian of peace. A Sentinel against the Dark. Nor a Consular of Wisdom. No. He was none of those anymore. Shan was...just a doctor. It's what he could do. It's what he should do. With that, he let out a long exhale, as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders and released into the air. The pressure. The stress. Some might say it was cowardice. Perhaps it was. But it was what Shan needed.

...With that being said, as soon as he heard that someone was hurt, Shan leapt up to his feet. Preparing to rush over towards the Padawan and the Echani with them...before he blinked. It appeared as if the Echani had it all settled...Though whilst Shan might not be a jedi anymore, that didn't stop him from still wanting to be a teacher.

"You should work on studying Curato Salva. It can be a life-saver. Literally."

He nodded at the Padawan, giving them a small smile. Shan had been lucky. Curato Salva had been something that had came to him naturally. He had learned it before he had even joined the Jedi, but he understood it could be a struggle for others.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
A disturbance in the Force shook Jedi Master Matsu to her core. Sensing the fall of Coruscant, she immediately activated the secret Eyes of the Grand Master, a device that allowed her to prefict and pinpoint the largest gathering of Jedi. She needed to know where her people were and what had or if there was a plan for the future going forward.

As she walked, the air began to shimmer. She reached out her hand, and ripples formed in the space before her. A Zeltron councilor, assigned to her, joined her side. Together, they stepped through the shimmering void, known as the Unbeing, and traveled from the temple. The Force allowed them to instantly appear at their destination.

Matsu and the Zeltron stepped out and stood before the assembled Jedi, their eyes falling on Vulpesen Vulpesen and Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor . The Jedi Master remained silent, her attention fixed on the two figures. Beside her, the Zeltron, clad in councilor robes, clasped her hands, waiting. She remained there though seeing that others were assembled but she looked around.

"Who is left?
