OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Update an extremely old submission
  • Image Credit: Click - Overwatch Wiki
  • Role: Occult Scientist
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: N/A
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 58
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
  • Species: Human (Raxian)
  • Appearance: A life of ceaseless exploration into areas of science where few dared to tread has hardened Doctor Zyn, her face marked by deep crease lines; her brow furrowed in deep thought and contemplation. A short length of vibrant red hair falls down from her scalp, always kept to a modest length in accordance with regulation. A minor dedication to physical fitness combined with a naturally fast metabolism keeps Zyn's body lean and sharp, which is likely unadorned by any jewelry or art such as tattoos or scarification.

Zyn's typical uniform consists of tight form-fitting leather exo-suit and cloth tabard with a large mechanical harness across her shoulder, upper back, and lower back. This harness serves as the cradle for the Doctor's four highly maneuverable manipulator arms, which can be used in a variety of functions from lab-work to locomotion to combat. For formal functions, the Doctor wears the standard
uniform of the Sith Empire with the appropriate rank plaques and armband.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Vitra Zyn, Grand Moff of the Ministry of Medicine
  • Loyalties: The Sith Empire, Unethical Scientific Progress
  • Wealth: High
    • Descendant from a wealthy noble family on Raxus Secundus and sole inheritor of her parent's fortune
    • Employed by the Lords of the Sith for over twenty years, her services aptly rewarded with wealth and resources
  • Notable Possessions:
  • Skills:
    • Basic Blaster Pistol Training
    • Doctorate in Force Sciences
    • Decades of Medical Field Work
    • Improvised Experimentation Regarding Sith Sciences, Specifically With Necromancy
  • Personality: Born into a wealthy family of plantation owning aristocrats, Doctor Zyn's personality can best be described as haughty, fussy, and willful. Accustomed to getting everything she wanted, Zyn's patience of tomfoolery and delays was virtually nonexistent. She looked down on people less fortunate than her own, viewing every one of lesser social class as inferior and not worth her attention unless they happened to end up on her operation table. Even among nobles of her own caliber, she exudes an air of arrogance and superiority, looking down her nose on everyone she believes isn't worthy of her time or attention. It seems like the only people she does show deference to are those who have served as beneficiaries for her in the past, more so to those who remain so in the present.

Unscrupulous with morality, Doctor Zyn has no qualms about expanding the limits of her research even if it means breaking every interstellar law that existed. Though once more careful at concealing her activities from the authorities, she now enjoys protection from prosecution by being personally employed by the Sith Emperor to carry out profane and unethical experiments at his behest.

Zyn enjoys fine music, sour wine, and exquisite cuisine from all over the galaxy; but none more than the dishes found on her native homeworld of Raxus Secundus.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Blaster Pistol, Robotic Arms
  • Combat Function: Though trained in the rudimentary fundamental basics of hand-to-hand combat and firearm usage, Doctor Zyn prefers to eschew combat whenever she can. To protect herself, she surrounds herself with cybernetically modified humanoids slaved to a control circuit built into her protective vestments. She will use her blaster pistol in conjunction with her robotic arms to fight in hand-to-hand combat.
STRENGTHS
  • Lack of Scruples: Doctor Zyn has no qualms or reservations about breaking the boundaries of morality and ethics, so long as she achieves whatever goal she's pursuing in the end. The lives of those under her command are easily sacrificed in the name of science.
  • Brilliant Scientist: Brilliant at a young age, Zyn's gnawing curiosity has led her to push beyond the limits of what many thought to be impossible, boldly blazing new trails in the realm of science. Her work is highly valued for its unrivaled insight and well-articulated rationale.
WEAKNESSES
  • Cruelly Capricious: Eccentric would be a polite term in regards to Zyn. Her continual delving into increasingly depraved areas of science and esoteric research has warped her perception, exposing her to the corruption of the Dark Side of the Force. Though her mood can shift on a whim, she retains surprising lucidity in regard to scientific matters.
  • Uncompromisingly Elitist: Doctor Zyn looks down upon others with a haughty scowl of disdain, viewing herself, her accomplishments, and her knowledge as being far superior to anyone else's. She would routinely refuse the aid of others in her chosen field of occult science if she didn't believe their own contributions to be on a level playing field with her own, even if her own work suffers in the process.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Born as the third daughter to wealth aristocrats Gael and Lorelei Zyn on Raxus Secundus in the year 804 ABY, Vitra had few prospects being so far down on the totem pole of the Zyn children. Whereas her eldest brother would ultimately inherit the family fortune, land, and titles, and her other siblings would be married off to the children of other noble houses to create more cadet branches, Vitra sought to carve out a career in the landscape of science and exploration.
Rebelling against her parent's desires to see her wedded, bedded, and laden with children, Vitra left the family plantation to enroll in her world's most prestigious academy; using only her sharp wits and genius intellect to guide her through the turbulent waters. Though initially quite lacking in credits, Vitra was quick to use her intellect and cunning demeanor to manipulate others into doing menial tasks for her, such as acquiring funds to provide for her own education; often plying them with her own body to encourage their cooperation.
Though some would sneer at this behavior, Vitra had no desire to reflect on what her peers may have thought of her. So long as she acquired what she wanted, she was content with letting them jeer.
When she, at last, completed her preliminary education, Vitra returned to her ancestral home to set things right. It's unsure what exactly happened in the weeks after she returned, but by the end of it her entire family had vanished and their will was completely re-written to make her the sole beneficiary of their estate. Inquiries into their whereabouts ended fruitless, as there was nothing they could unearth to prove that Vitra had any hand in their disappearance.
Vitra moved to sell her ancestral home, feeling no ties or attachment to where she had grown and raised. She took her wealth and traveled to Lorrd to further her education at its legendary universities. She excelled in the studies of biology and chemistry, her unceasing thirst for knowledge propelling her into darker areas of study that were strictly prohibited by the university authorities. She was later caught in breach of these prohibitions and promptly expelled from Lorrd, exiled from the planet entirely. She would have been imprisoned indefinitely if she had not been able to destroy her own experiments before they had caught her.
It was from this event that she came into contact with the Lords of the Sith, beings who recognized her talent and ambition and sought to foster it. Her employment changed many times over the next several decades, but she inevitably found herself working for a man named Kaine Zambrano, the man who would eventually become Emperor and Dark Lord of All Sith. With his patronage, her studies accelerated without any restrictions or limits to inhibit them. Zambrano himself became interested in her activities and offered a position as one of his own personal doctors.
Her contributions led to the creation of many horrific creations, and she even had a hand in the genesis of his cloning immortality project.
She eventually proved herself indispensable to the Dark Lord and he made her the head of the medical division of the Pyramid of Scientific Advancement, elevating her to the position of Grand Moff of the Ministry of Medicine. Her banishment from Lorrd was simultaneously lifted and she was allowed to build her own facility on the planet, all of her specifications and demands being approved by the Dark Lord's own signature.
