SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Composite Construction: Gralloc uses a set of composite plates that integrally attached to its Uller series exoskeleton. Each plate is constructed using a standardized process designed to maximize the effectiveness of each individual material within the armor. Each plate consists of a laminasteel lattice which holds several duraplast inserts which may be hollowed out to allow circuitry and wiring to run through. This unit is this placed in mold into which molten phrik is poured under intense pressure to form the remaining bulk of this plate. The laminasteel wire frame essentially works like miniaturized slat armor, making it useful against against small explosive projectiles, melee weapons, and slugs. Additionally, it can also act as a farraday cage for components integrated into the armor plate itself. However, most of the EMP/Ion protection afforded by the armor is the results of the duraplast inserts, which provide most of the overall protection afforded by the armor. The outer covering of phrik provides additional resistance to the armor, especially to heat based weapons such as blaster rifles or lightsabers. A thin layer of Agrinium on the back of these plates provides the user with some minor protection from natural sources of radiation, which they might be exposed to during extravehicular operations in space. A thick pane of ceraglass with almost invisible, fine agrinium mesh is used for the faceplate, giving the user good visibility in case the suit is electronically disabled and the HUD is inactivated while still providing reasonable protection against many threats. The black Defensa bodyglove encapsulates Torolus –series Artificial Muscles throughout most of the body glove, especially around the larger joints. Not only does this layer provide protection from many battlefield threats, basic protection from the environment as well as from many common threats. Because users flying in Gralloc might be exposed to high G-forces during their maneuvers, thin bands of Torolus muscles are sequentially spaced across the extremities, ready to constrict and prevent the pooling of blood if necessary based on readouts from the Asclepius's medi-sensor.
  • Loth-Wolf series Combat Scanner with SC-1 Hardened Comlink: This system provides Gralloc with its standard package of HUD, sensors, and basic power suit command and control systems as described in that submission. An open sensor slot in the Loth-Wolf has been plugged in with a small full-spectrum transceiver, which acts as a 'radar' for the user, allowing the user to detect starships, space going creatures, and get basic readings on energies and fields. Not only does this provide the user with basic situational awareness, but it allows the user to lock onto both moving and static targets when using weapons. Loth-Wolf automatically is linked to right wrist GravPulse Tactical Tractor/pressor Device, the cutting laser found in the left gauntlet, and the Starbolt Missile tubes on the back. This allows the user to wield all of these weapons as almost seamless extensions of his body.
  • Uller series Exoskeleton: This is the suit's base power-armor chassis. Gralloc's exoskeleton is among one of LPD's most heaviest and rivals that of the Akk Dog Security Armor. It incorporates specifically oversized framework with additional secondary structural supports. This allows the Gralloc to use oversized servos at all of the major joints of the exoskeleton, and allow multiple secondary servos augmented by Torolus-series artificial muscles to be installed as adjunctive components to the main servos as well as on the secondary supports. This allows some resiliency in the powersuit’s function. Even if a major servo-motor is completely severed, auxiliary servo-motors and artificial muscles can still move most of the joint, though it may be at reduced strength and/or range of motion. The sheer number of servo-motors and artificial muscles throughout most of the suit provides the user with impressive strength and endurance. These combined servo-motors and artificial muscles allow the user to easily pick up and toss most organics and tear hull plating off of warships. Using this strength requires a lot of energy, forcing the Gralloc to carry two separate Bia series Portable Fusion Generators. The bulk of the suit’s exoskeleton also means that some fine detail dexterity is lost in the fingertips and other small joints.
  • Asclepius Bio-support Dispenser: This internal device provides basic physiological monitoring, emergency topical bacta/kolto administration, and can also inject users with a variety of emergency or performance enhancing drugs. It is especially important on the Gralloc as it provides physiologicial monitoring during flight and can use several of the suit's features to protect the user. It can automatically signal the suit to constrict Torolus muscles around limbs in order to stop blood pooling from extreme G-forces. It can also inject the user with a variety of medicines depending on the situation, from Plasvol in the case of hypovolemic shock to radiation poising medicine in case the user is exposed to too much radiation.
  • Bia series Portable Fusion Generator: The Gralloc has a pair of Bia series Portable Fusion Generators in order to provide the suit with exceptional strength for long periods of time. The Gralloc mounts one of these generators in its typical spot in the lower back just like most of LPD’s other power suits. However, like the Akk Dog, it has an identical generator mounted just above the first generator. This dual configuration provides some redundancy in case one generator is damaged and provides enough power for the suit to operate continuously for 12 hours. Redundant restart energy pathways built into this reactor allow the Power Armor to "sputter" along when faced with Ion, EMP, and other tech-dampening threats.
  • GravPulse Tractor/Pressor Device(right gauntlet): Gralloc has a built-in GravPulse Device in its right gauntlet. This typically functions as a tractor beam, helping the user to pass snagging objects in space, whether it's a loose weapon or to pull himself towards a starship. It can also be used a pressor device, typically to push incoming ordinance or personnel away from the user. It can also be used as a tensor weapon, which fires invisible bolts that can molecularly sheer opponents apart much like a disruptor.
  • Laser Cutter (left gauntlet): Gralloc has a laser cutter in its left gauntlet, typically used to cut through hull plating and blast doors during boarding operations, though it can also be a powerful if impromptu close-quarters weapon if need be.
  • Starbolt Missile Tubes: In attempt to mimic the abilities of the miniaturized proton torpedoes used on the older Imperial Zero-G Assault Armor, Gralloc has a missile tube on either side of each the upper power generator which each holds a single Starbolt-class Missile. This gives users very limited space weapon, which is typically best employed to destroy other space power armor users or battle droids, though in large numbers they might be a threat to starfighters and other small craft as well. Each armor only has two missiles total or no means of reloading them in field, meaning that they must be used sparingly.
  • Crush-gaunts: Each of Gralloc’s gloves are actually crush-gaunts made out of phrik. These can not only be used as a close-quarters combat weapon, but they are also useful for hanging onto and intensely gripping objects, such as the wings or other extrusions of starships.
  • Utility Belt: Gralloc comes with a streamlined utility belt with compartments made out of the same armor plating as the rest of the suit. While heavily inspired by the classic stormtrooper belt, it contains fewer items in terms of types and quanitities in order to cut down on bulk. Each belt contains the following equipment: a spool of high tension wire, one grappling hook, 2 power packs, two ion flares (for illumination or emergency signaling), a combat de-ionizer, a FastMed Emergency Medpac, and three Vaynai Emergency Rations.
  • Flight Systems: Gralloc has a pair of rocket thrusters on either shoulder, each of which uses simple solid fuel slugs to operate not unsimilar to the ones used on classic Vulture Drones. This can be reloaded by the user in the field fairly easy, and allow the Gralloc operator to jet about in deep space at the pace of typical shuttlecraft. This is typically enough that the operators are fast enough to overtake and land on enemy capital ships, but they are not typically fast enough to run down high performance small craft like superiority starfighters and interceptors. Actual flight control is automatically linked to the Loth-Wolf HUD system in a fairly intuitive matter, making it relatively easy to use. Additional maneuvering jets have also been built in at several points in the armor. These are all linked to a positronic processor which acts as a flight computer to coordinate the actions between the maneuvering thrusters, primary rocket thrusters, Loth-Wolf HUD, and sensors. This positronic processor can also provide automatic navigation abilities which can be displayed on the HUD system through a combination of downloadable maps, dead reckoning, and active starmapping identification protocols.
  • Basic Environmental Protection: Space isn't exactly the most forgiving environment, which has led to fairly solid environmental protection. Each suit is vacuum proof through its self-sealing triple layer Defensa body glove and built-in Pneuma-series Rebreathing System, which also has an independent air supply that can supply 24 hours of breatheable atmosphere. This rebreathing system also allows its users to filter atmospheres from toxic gases, both natural and artificial, as well as the potential to breathe underwater with the right filters. Thin agrinium lamination behind each armor plate provides the user with some limited protection from background radiation in space.
  • Magnetic Couplers (feet): Gralloc has magnetic couplers built into the soles of both boots, allowing users to walk on metal objects regardless of orientation or gravity.
STRENGTHS

  • Spaceflight: Like the classic Imperial Zero-G Armor before it, Gralloc allows its user the ability to jet around in space and engage in deep-space combat.
  • Energy Resilience: Gralloc’s composite plate construction and Defensa undersuit provide the wearer with excellent protection from energy weapons like blasters and disruptors.
  • Kinetic Resilience: Gralloc provides fairly decent protection from kinetic weapons due to its phrik-laminasteel-duraplast composite armor plates and use of Defensa textile.
  • Lightsaber Resilience: Gralloc provides reasonable protection from lightsabers due to its use of phrik in the armor plating and armorweave in its undersuit.
  • Environmental Resistance: Gralloc has been specifically constructed to provide its users with a high degree of resistance to hostile environments through fully sealed, triple layer defensa bodyglove with extra insulfafiber padding and its own atmsopheric support system.
WEAKNESSES

  • Heavy: Gralloc is a fairly heavy and bulky suit in large part due to its triple-layered bodysuit, heavy exoskeleton build, and other spaceflight systems. This makes it incredibly awkward to use outside of space environments, especially on worlds with high gravity.
  • Weak Points (inner thighs): Gralloc has less protection at its inner thighs in order to cut down on weight and enable better movement in case the suit loses power. This area is only covered by several layers of Defensa intertwined with artificial muscles, both of which are notably less resistant than its phrik armor plating against most weapons.
  • Low Elemental Resistance: As Gralloc wasn't designed to be in any sort of atmosphere, it does not have any particular resistances designed in the suit to protect users from extreme heat or cold, either of natural or artificial origin.
  • Low Sonic Resistance: Gralloc has very limited protection against sonic weapons. While the helmet does provide sonic protection for the user's ears through its HUD system, the rest of the suit was not designed with sonic weapons in mind. The armor plates and condensed matter composite in the exoskeleton provide some protection against these weapons, but this more coincidental rather than intentional.
  • Weak Point (distal clavicle sections): In order to cut down weight and better enable natural flexibility, areas around the outer clavicles are only protected by layers of Defensa intertwined with Torolus series artificial muscles
DESCRIPTION
With Lucerne Personal Defense focusing much of their time and money into power armor development, it only became a matter of time before the company got around to making a space power armor in the vein of the classic Imperial Zero-G Armor. LPD's version, named after a spaceborne creature of sometimes considerable annoyance, differs significantly from that ancestor in that it is a single, integrated suit rather than power armor worn over typical battle armor. In this most basic respect, much of its development can actually be traced to Raptoran-series Aerial Combat Armor between its flight control systems and sequential compression devices built throughout the suit's limbs to help deal with extreme G forces. But Gralloc has some very significant differences.

Among he greatest of these differences is its sheer bulk. Since Gralloc isn't constrained by having to remain airborne, it has a significantly more bulky and powerful build, allowing the user much greater, sustained physical strength and allowing it to carry thicker armor plating in a more consistent fashion than the aerial combat armor. Similarly, Gralloc uses solid-slug rocket propulsion mounted on either shoulder to provide most of its thrust, which provides the user with reasonably powerful straightline speed for short distances, though it is not nearly as maneuverable as Raptoran in its chosen element. Other spaceflight particular design features include magnetic couplers, allowing users to walk on top of starships and other metallic structures and missile tubes to provide it with some ability to attack small enemies in space. A built in tractor/pressor device allows the user to pull himself onto enemy ships or snag floating objects in space for easy retrieval while a gauntlet-mounted laser cutter allows the user to cut through hull plating in order to conduct boarding operations.

Gralloc production is likely to remain moderate but steady levels. Space combat is unlikely to disappear from the galaxy any time soon, and there will likely always be a need at some level to board and capture enemy starships and space installations. However, the suits of armor are fairly pricey and do take a significant amount of training in order to get the maximum effectiveness out of them. Most Grallocs are being produced to equip Directorate and Silver Jedi Concord marine units, but a number of them have found their ways in lesser numbers to other groups and exceptional individuals.

Listib Hibin Listib Hibin , thanks for the catches; I've had this one sitting partially completed for a while now and forgot update a few things.

Everything mentioned should be fixed now. I've also added "Lucerne Personal Defense customers" to the affiliation list.
