- Diagnostic system runs automatic maintenance checks on the chakrams and is able to identify parts, systems, and components in need of repair or replacement.

- The chakrams can be controlled by Sai’vhaela via an ion-scrambled and ghostwave-channeled bio-hexacrypted short range comm link, allowing her to interface with them remotely. This typically takes the form of a neural link so that the wielder can control their functions through thought, but interfacing can also be executed via other means.

- Each chakram has an edge honed to a single molecule of thickness. Thus, the edges are extremely, surgically sharp, increasing potential cutting performance.
- Svolten Rhyolite Treatment
- Allows the chakrams to retain their integrity and cutting power even after sustaining hard impacts with the blade of a lightsaber or with especially dense materials.
- Trapped Grip
- Controlled by an integrated biometric authentication access control system which allows only Sai’vhaela and anyone she permits to activate and wield the chakrams. Each of the chakrams have an anti-theft system, whereby the grip will discharge a potent electrical energy field in the event that the weapon is handled by an unauthorized agent, with the potential to cause severe burn injuries to the victim.
- Repulsorlift Engine
- Each chakram has a miniaturized repulsorlift engine capable of independent flight at typical speeds of 340 m/s, with a maximum speed of 850 m/s. The engine is also rated to function underwater, albeit with reduced speed (typical underwater speeds of 100 m/s and maximum underwater speed of 150 m/s). The chakrams can be remotely controlled by the wielder via direct neural link (or other means), allowing them to be directed in flight by remote command.
- Kinetic Rebounding System
- Allows a chakram to deflect/bounce harmlessly off of select surfaces and unintended targets while maintaining lethal cutting power against intended targets. The chakram’s outer edge is lined with a short-range repulsion field emitter network that can be directly controlled by the wielder via the remote link.
- Bounce Mode
- When the chakram strikes a surface/unintended target, the repulsors activate for a split second, deflecting the blade harmlessly off the object, acting as a brief "bounce shield".
- This prevents the blade from digging in, instead ricocheting at an angle (like skipping a stone on water).
- The angle of deflection can be pre-set or adjusted mid-flight via controls.
- Cutting Mode
- When striking an intended target, the repulsion field network remains inactive, allowing the ultra-sharp edge to slice deep.
- The lack of repulsor cushioning (or “bounce”) facilitates full penetration.
- Inertial Directional Surge Core
- An internal directional energy capacitor stores kinetic impact force from a bounce and releases it as an impulse surge on the next vector. This allows the chakram to maintain its velocity and kinetic energy regardless of prior momentum loss from the previous bounce. It also compensates for velocity and kinetic energy decay on multibounce throws/trajectories.

- A high-grade vibration generator, the ultrasonic vibration generator causes the chakrams’ blades to vibrate with extreme speed and force, giving the weapon the ability to tear through flesh, hard organic carapace, thick stone, and heavy metal alloys the likes of titanium and durasteel. In addition, the blades have the potential to inflict devastating, gaping wounds and possibly even dismember, with little more than a touch.

- Each chakram has a poison reservoir that is compatible with a range of different poisons, treating the blade with the poison inside the reservoir. However, only one poison type can be deployed in the reservoir at a time. Naturally, the reservoir can be left empty as well, should the wielder choose it. Compatible poisons are listed and detailed below:
- Devaronian Blood-Poison
- Devaronian Blood-Poison has the potential to cause extreme, potentially debilitating pain upon making contact with a victim’s flesh with even a glancing hit.
- Senflax
- Senflax has the potential to induce paralysis or numbing effects in a victim’s body. It can also compromise a person’s focus, possibly disrupting their ability to harness the Force.
- Blood Boiler
- Arguably the most gruesome of the compatible poisons, when introduced into a victim’s bloodstream Blood Boiler has the potential to turn their blood into acid, possibly inflicting excruciating pain and even causing a victim’s body to eat itself from the inside out.

- Most often utilized against Jedi and Light-aligned warriors, Sith Poison has the potential to amplify the rage felt by a victim by triggering a chain of chemical reactions that diminishes their ability to resist the Dark Side.

- Mgehye ot Lloig has the potential to inflict a wide range of effects on a victim, the most prominent of which might include vivid, terrifying hallucinations and weakened willpower.
- Nihilblight
- Nihilblight is an alchemical bio-weapon designed to annihilate both physical and spiritual life. It combines hyper-toxic chemical compounds with Dark Side alchemy to create a weapon that not only liquefies organic tissue but also disrupts the metaphysical essence of its victims. Its physical effects include rapid cellular degeneration (potential liquefaction within seconds), neural cascade failure (seizures and brain death), and physical melting. Spiritually, it can sever or corrupt a victim’s connection to the Force, while a lingering Dark Side taint can induce hallucinations, immune collapse, or psychological necrosis. In order to be adapted for use with the poison reservoir, the Nihilblight is contained in diluted liquid form with its semi-sentient characteristics tuned out, ensuring safety for the user.

- Owing to their material construction, the chakrams are very resistant to lightsabers, vibroblades, and energy weapons.

- The blade can retract within the inner ring of the chakram via molecular disruptor mirror cells for safe and easy storage. From here, the chakram itself can collapse down to half of its active size.

- Obsidian Blur: The Obsidian Voidshards integrated into each chakram renders them incredibly difficult to detect or counter via direct, external Force applications. In addition, the Voidshards generate a localized distortion field that interferes with Force-based tracking, precognition, and sensory abilities. When looking at the chakrams, enemies may experience visual warping, false shadows, or misjudgments, making them extremely difficult to visually process.
- Twisted Flesh: Each Gloomripper Crescent has a poison treatment system which is used to treat the blade with a given poison inside the reservoir. These poisons have the potential to inflict a host of deadly effects, possibly compromising a victim's ability to fight, in the process.
- Rip and Tear: The mono-molecular blade and the ultrasonic vibration system lends the chakrams extreme potential cutting power, allowing them to shear through virtually any material with frightening efficiency.
- Swift Slaughter: A high-powered miniaturized repulsorlift engine in each Gloomripper Crescent boosts the velocity of Sai’vhaela’s throws to blinding speeds, while a downscaled tensor field element gives the weapons excellent maneuverability in flight.
- Resilience: The tensor field element allows the chakrams to resist tractor beams, while the gravitic stabilizer prevents them from being grounded by repulsorlift jammers.
- Rupture: The energy-reflective nature of the ultrachrome (used as a nanocoating on the frame and the blade) repels energy fields and gives the chakram a very high chance of passing through energy shields. This allows the wielder to engage energy-shielded targets with a good expectation of success.
- Null Halo: A miniaturized sensor mask nullifies the chakrams' signature to effectively zero, minimizing the chances that they are picked up by both technological and organic sensors. In addition, a sound damper renders the weapons totally silent.
- Melee: While still lethal in melee, chakrams are ultimately suboptimal compared to a traditional lightsaber or vibroblade, due to a lack of reach. Their ability to block incoming attacks is inferior to that of a standard length lightsaber or vibroblade.
- Fried: The chakrams depend heavily on their electronics for lethality and operational efficiency. EMP and Ion discharges of high enough intensity could compromise these systems or even disable the weapon entirely, rendering it as little more than dead weight.
- Exposure Window: Like any chakram, throwing the Gloomripper Crescents requires motion and form—sometimes telegraphed. Although it is possible to mitigate this demand (often through snap throws), against ranged enemies, this can create brief exposure windows where the user may be vulnerable to return fire. In the same token, the act of recovering the chakrams can be risky. The split-second intervals of a close-quarters fight can make recovering them impractical, even with the repulsorlift engine.
- Circumvented: While the Obsidian Voidshards interfere with direct Force use against the chakrams, Indirect applications of the Force (i.e. using the Force to generate bursts of pressurized air) are still effective in defending against the chakrams.
Rings of flying death, the Gloomripper Crescents are ultra high-tech chakrams that marries Sith-crafted materials to advanced technology. Engineered for equal parts terror and morbid efficiency, the Gloomripper Crescents are Sai’vhaela’s primary option for close to mid-range combat. Among the incorporated technologies that enhance the chakram’s performance a repulsorlift engine which augments the release velocity of the wielder’s throws, a kinetic rebounding system which allows the chakrams to be bounced off of objects (while retaining their momentum), a gyroscopic stabilizer, a remote link, various stealth systems, and yet more utility or enhancing systems.
Of particular note, the Gloomripper Crescents apply Sai’vhaela’s training in toxins and poisons. Each of the chakrams has a poison reservoir which is compatible with a number of poisons to inflict a host of effects on targets cut by the blades.
Ultimately, the Gloomripper Crescents are ring-shaped instruments of terror and assassination, meant to rip and tear through the enemies of the Sith Dyarchy!
