- Wookie Flak: The Spear Thrower is simliar in design to a Bowcaster, but scaled up to an absurd degree. Designed to explode at a pre-programmed distance, the "Spears" explode violently upon impact with anything, or explode in the air, sending shrapnel from the durasteel casing of the internal explosives.
- Double Barrel: The Spear Thrower is capable of massive outputs of bolts due to it's dual barrel configuration.
- Flak Storm: The Spear Thrower fires off massive amounts of explosive bolts, leaving clouds of plasma and shrapnel in it's wake. This is designed to damage passing starfighters, or directly target larger ships if need be.
- Flesh Shredder: Needless to say, the Spear Thrower's bolts, if fired at or above infantry, will spray them with concussive force and shrapnel. Not a good day for whomever that is.
- Aim Assist: Built into the normal Spear Thrower Turret is a heavy duty targetting computer, allowing for proper spread of the flak, and direct targeting if need be.
- Vehicular Mounted: The Spear Thrower is at the whim of whatever vehicle it's mounted to. Where that be a capital ship, a frigate, a corvette, or a tank or walker, it's ability to aim is determined by the positioning of it's host.
- Victory Through Constant Firepower: The Low accuracy on the Spear Thrower is a known issue. This is intentional, even if it's not exactly ideal.
Designed as a new way for GADF vessels to defend themselves, the Spear Thrower is designed to act as an anti-starfighter deterrent for GADF transports and frigates, allowing them to defend against small craft. Also capable of engaging flying heavy infantry or air support CAS, the Spear Thrower acts as a versatile defense, allowing the skies of GA planets to be free of raiders.
