HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Out in the black of space, the Galaxy has become a dangerous place. Even with the collapse of the Empire and Maw, the Alliance and her allies and trading partners have been beset on all sides by pirates and remnants, seeking to disrupt their trading routes and supply lines. While many see this merely as a nuisance that ought be sorted out - it is in fact a strategic necessity for the Alliance to project their power across these hyperlanes, in order to protect the massive economic power and influence they have built.
Deciding that at least one of the answers had to come in pure muscle, Alliance Naval Headquarters assembled Task Force 13. Dubbed "the Lucky 13" by the men serving aboard the ships chosen for this Task Force, TF 13 has one purpose and one purpose alone - to provide a naval and marine contingent to respond to galactic threats, defend traders under attack, and hunt down and neutralized raiders, and it's well built for that purpose. Containing an escort contingent of cruisers and frigates that can easily be detached into smaller squadrons to carry out their own hunter-killer missions or be integrated into the main battle line for a fleet engagement, this formation is a force to be reckoned with for the pirates, raiders, and saboteurs of the galaxy.
