The Furazan Orbital Defense Platform was designed by Loymière Shipwright as a cost effective alternative to the Hunderine Orbital Defense Station currently being used to defend the Grenonine System from hostile invasions. The Furazan Platform comes equipped with high level armaments scattered throughout the hull which are designed to distract the enemy fleet long enough for the defenders to scramble adequate defenses. The platform also has a high level of defensive systems which protect the station from external projectiles such as missiles and the heavy firepower of an attacking force. Since the Underneath of the Hunderine Orbital Station was vulnerable, the Hulls of the Furazan had been reinforced for added protection to the gunners and crew on board.
Although like any design, the Defense Platform has several weaknesses which can be exploited by an enemy, one vital area is the lack of starfighter capacity to defend the station from starfighters and bombers. Another weakness is that it lacks speed and maneuverability which can hamper the ability of the station overall.
