Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
T6L37Isl.jpg

Location: The Luminous Gardens, Vaynai

Even defenders of peace and justice needed to have a little fun sometimes, so Setzi Lunelle, back from an adventure on Ilum, decided to throw a small party on Vaynai for the Silver Sanctum Coalition who had graciously taken her in. A refugee of the One Sith, the Padwan was still adjusting to life as a Jedi, and some days were easier than others. Occasionally, she would lock herself in the dormitory that she shared with Krux Mullarus and not come out, sometimes for a few days. But those melancholy incidents were few and far between, and eventually, the former darksider felt more like celebrating.

She booked a couple of large rooms in the Luminous Gardens on Vaynai which was a popular resort situated above the Boiling Sea. The gathering started at midday, but would last well into the night. If the guests wanted to they could spend time soaking in the hot springs on the grounds and admiring the vista of the exotic Vaynai flora and nearby waterfalls. Inside the Luminous Gardens there was a roomy cantina where drinking and dancing would take place. She did not have enough credits to book hotel rooms for everyone, but she hoped accommodations could be easily found. If not, free camping sites right by a cove of natural hot springs could be found.

Setzi didn’t know many of the Silver Sanctum outside of Knight Mullarus and Master Harrison, but was hoping to reconnect with a few that stuck out in her memory when she was a padawan before. Since the resort was on a chain of islands, she felt distinctly out of place to wearing black or something heavy. The brunette lightsider chose a colorful, floral dress and sipped a mimosa as she waited for Krux Mullarus, also a former Sith, her Jedi Master and her companion.

Krux was surprised to see a sudden holomessage from Setzi about twenty-four hours prior, informing him of his invitation - of which Setzi refused he turn down - to a lovely afternoon together at some resort on Vaynai, a world he'd never been nor heard of. Still, even if she didn't require he come, he would have. After winning her heart back and helping her to chase the Dark Side away out of her mind, he took every single opportunity he could to spend time with her, be it as his student of the Jedi or as his better half. Recently, there had been days she'd even lock herself in their dormitory in Voss and not speak to him for hours, sometimes days. Though they didn't happen often, he dreaded those days, as they reminded him of when she had abandoned him on Ragoon for the evil hand of Darth Pyrrhus. He'd sit next to the door and wait, trying to communicate to her telepathically asking if she was okay. Every now and then, she'd just tell him, I'm fine. I just want to be alone right now.

Though he found he still couldn't leave the outside of the dorm. He still sat and waited in case she needed something. He'd slip her some food every few hours so she wouldn't starve, and some water if she got thirsty. As long as she was content, he could rest easily.

Then, this. Setzi was sure a strange lady sometimes. One day, she acts as if the galaxy wants to see her dead and wants to lock herself away for hours, then other days she's a social butterfly who wants to be everyone's friend. Thankfully, this was the side Krux liked to see, though really, any side of her was still the woman he loved.

She had flown herself in The Pirate's Foe, for reasons she refrained from telling Krux. Maybe a surprise? Whatever the cause, he hadn't seen her face for a couple of days, and that sense of longing he felt for her had returned. Don't wear a suit. Nothing formal, please. Just wear something comfortable. she had told him in her message, so Krux wore the simplest thing he could find in his closet aboard Patriot, which was nothing more than a thin cotton tunic, which, if his research of the world Vaynai was credible, would be suitable to the warm, but luxurious atmosphere.

MhORw6a.jpg

After arriving and leaving Patriot docked next to the Foe, Krux had to stare at his lightsaber and eventually decide to leave it. On a world like this...there had better not be any reason to carry this. He exited the loading ramp and began heading toward the 'Luminous Gardens' where Setzi had said the 'party' would be hosted. Since there were no other starship nearby, he had assumed he was the first to arrive besides her.

There was still a tug in his gut that worried if she was in danger or not, but it faded away when he entered the location and his eyes locked on to her in a beautiful dress overlooking a flowing creek over a wooden banister. He felt a smile creep onto his face. For the first time since he had confronted her in the forest on Voss, he could feel no sign of the Dark Side in her aura, nor her appearance. The sun bounced off her skin like a mirror, which shone with a clear color that was not a ghostly pale like it was before. Even her hair, which was almost a dark black color like his before, seemed to have more of a light brown tint to it in the sun. He rubbed his exposed arms, feeling goosebumps as if she were just another gorgeous native he had thoughts to go flirt with. Of course, she was much more to him than that.

"All these years i've known you, Setzi Lunelle, and I don't think i've ever been so humbled by your beauty as I am right now." he said, approaching her. He already felt his face start to warm up, flushing pink just by looking at her. His heart beat faster, as if he had any reason to be nervous.

Vaynai represented a nice change of pace for Dune. Lately, he'd been in frozen and scorching hellholes, Dark Temples and beneath the ground in caverns. The Bith would not allow for the ostentatious surroundings of the hotel room, though, so he sat near the bubbling hotsprings, enjoying the calm. Besides, Bith didn't sleep like other species.

He was working in silence organising his thoughts and observations on his personal datapad. The Bith planned to make small additions to the historical records for Ziost, Korriban and Ryloth. The histories were long for each world and it would take some doing. Some would consider the work stodgy but he was in his element doing such things.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Vaynai was a nice place to be and with the small additions on the temple and Domino's former school. Well she had been here working with them to try and make it nice when news of a party was there. The jedi master hearing it and why not come and see as she stood in one of the vine silk kimono's with her parasol and fans on her belt. She didn't have need of her sabers when the force enhanced wood served batter at calming others down and her palm holo showedan image of the AI going over the reports from their ships. "Keep me informated should anything change and we'll work to make sure it all goes good." She was walking in and saw some people she knew and others she had not met before.

Up on the top floor balcony of the Luminous Gardens, Connor rested his elbows on the wooden railing and had a good view on events below. The hot springs could just be seen, and the waterfall itself roared down to the right. The building was very quaint but rather expansive and nestled among the surroundings like it was an extension. The natural pools, the fauna-decorated walkways, the decking and the seating was slowly being occupied by the guests invited.

Having received word on this gathering from Krux, surprised he actually let Connot know, he came from Voss after returning from Jakku. Social this may be, but Connor didn't feel too sociable. His lightsaber was strapped to his side, navy shirt sleeves rolled up and his top button open, he looked as casual as one could be, but still ready for trouble.

One hand rested on the rail, one hand held a blue milk which he swilled gently and smacked his lips as he sipped. Cool surroundings and cool drink was much easier on the body than the gritty warmth of Jakku. He was content to watch until he was done making sure everything was ok, and then he'd do what he did best. Just...disappear until he was needed, or until he knew what he was going to do next.

The shot missed his head by inches.

Ducking low, the small Anzat cradled the blaster in hand. He hesitated only a moment, questioning whether the weight in his arms was indicative of his weapon running low on ammunition, before a blur of movement presented him with a target of opportunity. Coming up from out of the crouch, the young Jedi leveled the pistol in his hands and pulled the trigger.

A squirt of water shot outward.

Sailing through the air in slow motion, the shot splashed across the coppery skin of a young Mandalorian clone. His death throes trickling out in a bout of giggling, as the Fett's last action was to lob a grenade at the Jedi. The water balloon undulating as it arced through the air, detonating with a splash over the Jedi boy's head.

Together, the two small younglings managed to sound like a Manaan water dragon had somehow found itself trapped in the hot springs. The only thing louder than the splashing they were making was the sound of laughter and boyish voices that were louder than they ought to have been. Neither was acting their part -- the child Jedi and the child soldier -- but were instead acting more appropriate of their age.

Woe to the passer-by who hoped to get a relaxing soak in the springs in. They would likely first have to negotiate peace between the clone army and the Jedi. Or risk becoming a victim of the watery weapons of mass distraction that the two were currently hammering one another with.

Valae had received her first invite to a fancy party on Vaynai, and she was most excited. The padawan had packed her bags, only to realize that her wardrobe lacked formal clothing. She had a small savings left over from her family’s scrap yard, and she had only drawn what was needed to furnish her new life on Voss… this meant that she had only purchased food and necessary items. It was time to live a little; Valae had decided to book a room at a nice, but modest hotel near the festivities. Her room had been very warm and inviting, and her bed was easily the most comfortable she had ever spent a night in. Valae had also thoroughly enjoyed the room service during her night’s stay.

Earlier that day she had ventured out to go shopping, feeling distinctly out of her element among the ladies in the department stores. Luckily there had been a very friendly sales associate that had jumped at the chance to give her a makeover. They had picked out a flowy white dress with a floral pattern, it was such a departure from her normal clothing, but she liked the way it looked. Despite her hesitations, the sales lady also talked her into buying a pair of white high heels. The associates at the makeup counter had even taken the opportunity to put some mascara on her, as she had insisted that she didn’t wear makeup.

e2cg7.jpg

The young woman made her way to the Luminous Garden, feeling very out of place and a bit strange in her new dress. It wasn’t that the new outfit was uncomfortable, it was just very unfamiliar and she was still adjusting to having her feet at such an odd angle in her high heels. Small steps brought her into the gardens, and she looked around wide eyed at the lovely surroundings. Valae gave a wave to Krux, she hadn’t been able to congratulate him on his knighthood yet, but she didn’t want to ruin a tender moment between him and his new padawan… at least she assumed that the woman he was with was Setzi. Valae had only heard about her, and knew that she had come from the dark side, just as Krux had done. She certainly had the best master to help her on this new journey.

For now she moved towards the edge of the garden, simply watching and waiting. There were a few other people present, but she had yet to make their acquaintances.

This social gathering proved a nice change of pace from all the battles fought and duties performed lately, doubly so for the Grandmaster and his wife who now arrived to the party by way of speeder. They had spent some time away from Voss, to lick their wounds within their private residence on Midvinter, but even more so for a chance to be simply husband and wife again. It had been so long since they were last able to spend time together as they saw fit without the worries of the galaxy and its peoples on their minds. Still, suffering can be found anywhere should you look for it, however peaceful a location may seem.

Upon their return, it seemed some of the younger members of the Coalition had decided to put together this lovely event on Vaynai, which both Masters Heavenshield were more than happy to attend. The chance to spend time with members of your Order were few and far between without it being during mission and the likes. This would prove a good opportunity to get to know the newer arrivals, as well as reconnect with old friends.

As the occasion was not designed to be a formal one, Thurion arrived dressed in a pair of black pants, white shirt and his trusty black leather jacket. His beard was trimmed and his hair casually swept back, though it constantly insisted on getting swept up in every gust of wind. Having made a full recovery from his wounds sustained of Lujo prior to their trip to Midvinter, the bandage was gone from his right hand, although it tended to give him trouble from time to time. Occasionally his hand would act up due to a damaged nerve ending, but it was little more than a mere annoyance to him.

What am I even doing here?

Golden eyes scanned about, peering through the thin slits on the face-plate of his helmet. You receive an invite. You responded..... but that doesn't explain, why did I come? A heavy sigh was projected, as gloved hands idly tugged on the black tunic he wore. Not counting the lack of cloak, his appearance was his standard, iconic, black garbed and masked visage.

About his waist was what could easily be identified as a 'belt' made of fur. Any who wished to be truly rude and invasive, if keen enough of the eye, would find with some investigation of his posterior that it originated from a small, almost imperceptible hole in his trousers. Yes, a tail. But, of course, he was counting on the prudence and politeness of his fellow Jedi to not snoop that in-depth.

At the moment, he too was on the upper level, leaning on a banister, several paces away down along the overlook of the garden from Master [member="Connor Harrison"]. Those golden eyes observed the quiet, powerful Jedi, masked face inclined ever so slightly towards one shoulder. He'd never actually met the Jedi, so didn't know whom it was, and as such merely mused how the man quite fit with the Order.

Movement though, out of the corner of his eye, caught his attention. Curse that feline-impulse! But, what he saw, was a pleasant sight. [member="Valae Kitra"] had entered the gardens. She was nice to him. He appreciated that fact. His over-all appearance, and choice of garb, tended to bring a level of distrust along with it. Of course, dressing in such a Sith-like fashion tended to garner a general air of hostility. However, should she happened to roam her gaze over the masked Knight, a soft wave of a gloved hand from the upper level would be given in her direction.

Beyond that, the Knight remained in silence, his only variance from his black-on-black color scheme being his mask, and his twin lightsabers at his hips. He never went anywhere without them.

What am I even doing here.......

Ryn looked lost, the Bith thought as he walked towards him from the gardens by the hotsprings. The Felacatian was known to him by reputation but he'd never really met him. Dune had finished his work for now and was in search of refreshment. Maybe some wine was in order.

"You look lost," the Bith began with his usual lack of preamble "I'm off to see about a glass of wine. You should have a little, or maybe an ale if that's more to your taste." Dune looked at his unique lightsaber hilts and nodded. "I've seen your lightsabers from afar in the training yard. Silver blades are a rare thing."

Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
The mimosa she drank was sweet to her taste buds and went down far too easily. Setzi wasn’t much of a drinker, but she felt that she had a lot to celebrate tonight, especially her rekindled relationship with Krux Mullarus who had done so much to help her on Voss and with the Silver Jedi. If she thought about it hard enough, she realized that he was basically the only reason she was still alive or not locked up in one of those cells and left to be studied as a lesson of darkside insanity.

But her love was not just gratitude. She and Krux had been lovers before, prior to their return to the lightside, but that was when they were both Sith, a situation which didn’t yield itself to loyalty or fidelity. Like the sunlight streaming in through the palm trees on Vaynai, their devotion was pure, saturated with not just infatuation but respect for each other.

She blushed as he greeted her with a compliment. “I never grow tired of your flattery,” she said close to his ear. Then she kissed him on the cheek, leaning her body in close to him, wrapping an arm around his waist, still juggling the delicate glass in her other hand.
“You also look very handsome,” she remarked. “I know I haven’t been the easiest to get along with lately, so I want this night to be special and fun for us. Anything you want to do, we’ll do." She smiled coquettishly which he could interpret in whatever way he wanted.

The brunette padawan looked up to one of the resort balconies and thought she spied [member="Connor Harrison"]’s tall profile. It was hard to think of anything making the festivities more perfect, but the figure of the solitary Jedi Master reminded her of how she missed her sister Chastity. If only Chas were here…

Not now. This is a time for celebration.

“Shall we go inside? I’ve made sure everything is very casual. There’s food, dancing, or we could even go in the hot springs if you want. Or you could introduce me to your friends.”

She recognized some other Silver Jedi from faces alone. Her time spent alone in the dorm room made certain that Setzi had been a little too introverted on Voss during her stay so far. It would be a refreshing change to get to know some of her colleagues in the Sanctum. Little did she know what the mischief-makers, including [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"], were doing in the warm pools.

As she leaned in closer to him, his arms instinctively wrapped themselves around her in return. He sighed with a satisfied smile on his face. "Setzi, the fact that you're here with me makes me the happiest man in the galaxy." he said, caressing her cheek with his hand gently, "You don't know how proud I am of the progress you've made." Her question made him cock a brow, but he still couldn't help but ask her instead. "What do you want to do? Honestly, I don't have a preference, as long as it's with you."

He chuckled to himself, "Sorry, you've been locked away for a few days, i've had a lot of time to think of cheesy things to say." he smiled, "Not that I don't mean it, just..."

His eyes turned to the drink in her other hand, "What's that?" he asked as he took her by the arm and started walking inside with her. He didn't know what he wanted to do, truthfully. Maybe an opportunity would present itself inside. "And...how are you feeling? Better? I've been worried about you since you started being more of an introvert."

A break away from the Sanctum was very much needed by Coci and Thurion, they both felt far more relaxed and refreshed ready to continue on with duty to the Order. To her surprise and delight, the Sanctum not only got on without them, but had organised a Do. This is not something of a regular event in the life of a Jedi and so when the opportunity arose, they would take it to simply be with the members of the Sanctum they consider family.

Coci had took a little longer then usual to ready herself, she was out of practice of dressing up, to simply be a girl. And so when finally ready in her silver dress, she escorted her husband to the function. "You look great", she whispered to Thurion as she walked on his arm into the celebrations. He always looks great, no matter what, but more so since his recovery to full health, although his eye still worried her greatly.

As they entered, Coci smiled seeing lots of the people already there, and the setting for the event is beautiful with a pool and natural running waters. Already she felt at ease and greeted those near her with a happy smile.

A Bith Knight approached, one he'd not met in person before. Masked face would angle, head cocking towards one shoulder. "I... do not imbibe... But, I appreciate the extended offer." He'd state, his melodic voice would dance forth, faintly distorted by his helmet, but the musical quality was still evident. A soft chuckle would be offered though when the Bith mentioned his sabers. "The crystals called to me. I found them during a great trial, seeking crystals with other padawan on Rhen Var."

He'd glance down to the sabers, before returning those molten-golden hues back to the Bith, extending a gloved hand. "I am Knight Ryn'Dhal. This is our first proper meeting I believe. You are?" He'd ask, a smile audible in his melodic voice as he spoke.

Xander had been playing wanderer ever since Balmorra never staying in one place very long. Just as he was finally making his way towards Voss he heard about another little social gathering. Intrigued Xander rerouted to Vaynai to pop in and see what was going down.

He arrived fashionably well after people had started to mingle. He was dressed comfortable with a Ranger Field pistol in a holster on his right hip only partially covered by his shirt. As he looked around [member="Matsu Ike"] was the only person he immediately recognized but he saw [member="Valae Kitra"] at the edge of the Gardens and walked over giving her a smile.

"This your first party?" "It can be nice to get away from it all some times."

He stuck out a hand to her.

"I'm Xander."

[member="Ryn'Dhal"]

"I don't drink to get drunk, it's more an appreciation of taste. Bith have potent olfactory senses and taste is largely smell."

He shrugged and spread his hands in a gesture of ambivalence.

"Rhen Var," he nodded "A cold place much like Illum."

He gestured his his own nondescript hilt and shrugged. He took the extended hand and shook it.

"Dune Rhur. I'm pleased to officially meet you though I confess to knowing your name. The Padawans admire your skill with the lightsaber and watch you with great interest."

"Well, seeing as how you don't imbibe, surely they have tea. Good tea is as enjoyable as any wine. Coffee too, for that matter."

Valae had seen [member="Ryn'Dhal"] enter, and had returned his wave with a smile. Perhaps she would get around to catching up a bit with her masked friend before the night was over. The padawan had also seen her Master and his wife enter, she silently marveled at how the Heavenshields always looked so great together. It wasn’t long before her she heard a voice and snapped back to reality. Dark eyes shifted to see a man standing near, and she nodded to his question. Had it been that obvious it was her first party, or had he simply recognized that she was new around the Coalition? She attempted to push her self-conscious feelings towards the back of her mind.

“Hello, Xander.” Valae smiled warmly. “I’m Valae, nice to meet you.” She reached out and shook his hand.

The young woman was still a bit amazed that she was even there. “The garden is lovely, isn’t it?” she asked, her eyes glancing about their surroundings.

She shifted her weight every now and then, finding that her shoes were already starting to make her feet ache. Valae silently cursed her choice to go the fashionable route, wishing that she had chosen a cute and practical pair of flats. After all, the night was still young and there would certainly be hours of standing ahead of her.

[member="Xander Stanforth"]

Xander smiled to [member="Valae Kitra"] giving her a nod.

"Nice to meet you Valae."

He looked out into the garden with a nod.

"It is nice.....last time I was in a garden like this Mysa and I were talking about Philosophy, Midvinter, and the Heavenshields..................while climbing a tree"

He noticed her shift out of the corner of his eyes and looked down with a chuckle at her shoes.

"Those things look nice but painfully uncomfortable.......why not just take them off?"

He chuckled warmly.

Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
Setzi had to admit that her life was calmer and yes, happier. She still had some nagging regrets, but it was likely Krux knew what those were. She missed her daughters especially, and she also felt responsible for the horrible conditions that her poor Xilsaga was in. But there would be time for action later.

She wanted to keep the night focused on the present and on light-hearted subjects. Part of her wanted to remain introverted and just stay with Krux, but she knew she had to meet others in the Sanctum eventually. "Well, I definitely want to go swimming later,” Setzi responded. “But perhaps we should mingle?”

As they walked inside the beautiful resort, the brunette padawan could tell by the Kriin and Greel wood accents, that the building was made of the finest materials. Torches and candles provided most of the lighting. It was truly a remote getaway that wasn’t often seen in the galaxy with its lack of electronics and holo-displays.

“This is a mimosa,” she said, smiling and raising the glass. “Champagne and orange juice. And I’ve always been an introvert.” She laughed a little embarrassed at the characterization, but it was true. “I’m the happiest when I’m exploring, sometimes by myself. But I always enjoy spending time with you.” She then turned to face him and said, “Oh, and don’t let me forget. I have a surprise for you.”

[member="Krux Mullarus"]

The bright orange drink intrigued Krux, and now he felt he may have to try some of it himself when they found who was serving it. "Nonsense." he remarked about her comment about always being an introvert, "I've seen you train students before, including myself. You're a natural" he smirked.

He looked around for anyone else around, since Setzi was apparently in a mingling mood. He spotted the familiar masked face of [member="Ryn'Dhal"] nearby, of whom he hadn't spoken to in quite a while, along with a Bith. Krux was about to gesture toward them when she mentioned a surprise. "A surprise? For me? Oh, darling, you shouldn't have" he chuckled, face flushing a faint pink already, "Well...okay, I won't let you forget" he smiled, "In the meantime, I recognize an old friend over there." he said, still holding his better half by her arm and guiding her over to the masked Knight and the Bith.

"Ryn'Dhal, it has been a while" he said to the man as he approached, "I heard of your promotion to Jedi Knight. Congratulations on that." he said, his dark blue eyes turning to the Bith next, "Greetings. I'm Krux Mullarus" he said, briefly letting go of Setzi's arm to extend his to the alien, "You are, bith?"

He knew Setzi suggested they go meet new people and all, but he couldnt help but feel like he might make her uncomfortable sometime. He tried not to ponder on it too much. She would be much more comfortable around the Sanctum if she knew more people than just himself or Connor.
